I bought a furnace and air conditioner from this company in 2009; 13 years ago. I have had repeated and multiple issues with the system starting 2 years after my purchase. Every technician who has ever worked on it over the years (I have only called this company for service by the way) told me what an awful system it was and that it was a lemon. It even broke down on Christmas Eve one year.
I made a routine appointment to have my HVAC inspect and clean. On the day of the appointment, the technician called and said he would be here in 5 minutes. He showed up 70 minutes later. The air-conditioning was working perfectly fine. I have no idea what he did as he could not explain to me in laymen's terms. In the end what I got out of our conversation was him telling me yet again what an awful system it was and that I should just buy a new one as it would cost too much to repair.
I was so discussed I told him to just put everything back as it was and leave. By 6 PM the temperature was 80 degrees in my home so I shut the system off. I called a new HVAC Company. The new company, Jeff Sorick Heating and Cooling, came the next day and did an inspection. I had asked the Boehmer technician to put everything back the way it was. I specifically told him I did not want dye.
My nephew owns a Heating and Cooling Company in Delaware and has always told me never to allow dye as it clogs the system. Well my air conditioner was turned off at the outside unit. The Boehmer technician also put dye in against my wishes. Unbelievable. I do not blame the technician. I blame the Boehmer company for not training and supporting him properly.
He was a very nice young man and I feel sorry for him having to work for Boehmer. My new company was able to pinpoint the issue and have my air conditioner back up and running within a half hour. They assured me it will last the rest of the summer and advised me to take my time picking out a new HVAC. You can be assured I will not be calling Boehmer to install my new furnace and air conditioner. It has been 3 days now and Boehmer has yet to respond to my complaint or even offer an apology.

Having issues with furnace turning on and staying on. Matt came within the time given. Then went in to great detail trying to find the problem. Once problem was discovered he quickly resolved the issue and had our heat up and running like new. Matt is a true professional and a good people person. Willing to explain what he did and how he fixed it. Will call again when we need service. Note to management: do not let this young man get away! In a year or two he will be one of your top service tech.

I noticed yesterday that our heating system was making noise and then during the night it stopped blowing hot air. My wife put in a request for repairs this morning and we got a call almost instantly. They gave us a four hour time frame and were here closer to the beginning of that chunk than the end of it. Ed was our technician. He was incredibly professional and proficient.
He answered my questions as I asked them and didn't seem to mind me watching him. He diagnosed the problem almost instantly, explained the process to me and was working on it as soon as he had the part out of his truck. Not long after that I have a whisper quiet heating system again and it's giving me all the warmth I need. I would strongly suggest using Boehmer if you want professionalism and efficiency. One of the easiest five stars I've ever given.

I've used Boehmer in the past & had a favorable experience with a particular technician. When I was in need of service again, I called back requesting an appointment with the same technician. Since he was booking over a month out, I was very specific with the scheduler regarding my scheduling needs & availability with work. I was assured an afternoon timeframe appointment was available that day, so I booked.
Fast forward to after almost a month of waiting for my appointment when I get a call indicating the only time they can come that day now is in the morning due to a scheduling conflict on their end. I totally understand things happen, but I reminded my reasons for needing an afternoon appointment in the first place and asked the soonest they could reschedule me. Boehmer graciously gave me the options to wait over an additional month through the end of December, or schedule someone else.
This is definitely not the same treatment I received the first time around. Boehmer's poor customer service and total disregard for a person's loyalty or time is the reason I will not be back again. I will also no longer recommend this company to my family or friends. If a company encounters a scheduling conflict on THEIR end, the appropriate resolution is NOT to disregard a customer's original request and offer them to wait an additional 5 weeks. Needless to say I opted cancel Boehmer- what a waste of time! I really liked that particular technician, but will gladly be taking my business elsewhere in support of a company that actually values their customers!

My husband left his wallet at a gas station pump. One of the employees of this company found it early in the morning on his way home from a night shift. He was honest enough to find our address on the license and return it to our home after a long day of work! Goes to show what committed, honest people this company has working for them. Very impressed.

Dispatch was able to get a technician out to my house within a few hours same day. John provided technician support and was a true professional. He arrived well within the time range given, called upon arrive and was extremely polite and professional. He quickly identified the issue and provided resolution as well as recommended a few additional actions i could take outside of the repair for maintenance sake. Pricing was quoted ahead of time, service was timely and professional, and technician was extremely knowledgeable and capable Very satisfied with the service and will be using Boehmer for future needs.

We needed a new AC system as our previous one needed significant repairs. Jim, the salesperson, came and gave us our AC options as well as the cost of fixing our current unit. He was very informative and did not pressure us at all to choose any specific option. He answered our questions to allow us to make an informed decision. Mike installed it. He did a fantastic job and left our place as he found it. Jim was the sales person who came to At that time we discussed the broken humidifier and Carl returned to install it. Again, very professional, skilled and personable. Bottom line, we feel that the folks at Boehmer do an excellent job at a fair price. We highly recommend them.

I wouldn't use them again. During the installation of our AC they apparently knocked the breaker for my electric dryer loose. When I went to do laundry as soon as they left I noticed my dryer was tumbling but not heating. I called my dad who said that if the line wasn't receiving full power that the dryer motor would operate but not the heating coil.
I called Boehmer and the guy on call told me the dryer shouldn't operate at all, which isn't true. I explained it to him and he still insisted the dryer shouldn't run. They couldn't come back out until two days later. My fiance who works away from home most of the week comes back last night and checks the line, it's not receiving full power.
When the guys show up I tell them that. They go around with their meter and say everything is fine with the dryer line and that it's nothing they did. They say the line is receiving full power. They tell me my dryer is just broken or not working correctly even though it's brand new and worked the day before they came. They say there could be nothing that they did to cause my dryer not to work.
The tell me my fiance's volt meter is faulty and insinuate he doesn't know what he's doing because he's not an electrician. Two hours after they leave my fiance comes home from the office, gets out the meter and it shows again the line isn't receiving power. My dad tells him how to check the breaker for the line, he takes it out and pushes it back in and suddenly everything works again.
The line now has full power. It takes all of ten minutes. Meanwhile the "professionals" were here much longer than that and didn't think to check the breaker. It's pretty simple to understand that if my brand new dryer worked immediately before they came, and didn't immediately after, that it was something they did. I don't know why they insisted that they were getting a normal reading on the line unless they were lying.
The breaker was obviously loose and the line didn't have full power. Having the breaker get knocked loose when they did the electric isn't a terrible mistake, but the way they dealt with the situation was. If they knew what they were doing the solution would have been obvious and the fact that they insisted that my dryer just coincidentally broke is completely ridiculous.
The way they acted like we were imagining things or that my fiance and dad don't know what they are talking about is also ridiculous. My dad went to school for this and has decades of experience. Dryer and everything else works just great now, with 10 minutes of effort that these people couldn't be bothered with. I won't be calling them for service or to do any kind of work ever again.

I started using Boehmer in 1985 at my home and several rental properties since. I always had the sense they were an honest family-owned business, but no more. They seem to have become the Gillece of HVAC. Their stock and trade is now 'service contracts'. On a recent home furnace repair they charged $470 plus labor for a $130 part; and did not provide an estimate (verbal or written) in advance.
On a recent rental service call, they could not get their story straight about what repair was needed, and did not ever address the problem they were called to fix. I say beware, I'll never use them again.

Frankly I chose them because they had Saturday hours. I naively thought the problem of our A/C going out DURING A HEATWAVE would be fixed ASAP. Silly me. It was not and we sweated through 6 very long days until they could replace our A/C unit. To be fair, the dude that came out on Saturday did try and fix the unit. Knowing it was on the older side I had my doubts it was going to be fixed. Alas, we got the bad news we'd have to replace the whole unit.
We made an appointment for Tuesday to have their salesman come out and give us a quote. Of course he worked an expensive one and a slightly cheaper one and said the difference was that one was a little louder. Whatever, it's new, I'm sure it's not as loud as the old one, so we went with the cheaper one. And by cheap I mean almost $5k with service.
So it was not cheap by any means and hurts the bank account. The guys that came to replace the unit were polite and efficient. Both wore masks whenever they were in the house or around us. Plus, I liked that they laid down painters cloth for their path in our finished basement. It was just polite. They were right on time and finished within an hour of when they originally quoted us.
The unit is efficient. I think we have to read a little more about it or will follow up with a call. We had a couple questions but with COVID didn't really want anyone hanging out in the house more than needed. I would hire them, although hopefully we won't need to for a long time!

I signed-up for a furnace inspection online and arranged a time via e-mail. Very easy! The service tech, Kristina, called about 25 minutes before arrival and was on time. She performed her job and fixed a small issue that I had noticed. She was very professional and friendly and provided a thorough review of her inspection results prior to leaving. The price was reasonable. I am very satisfied! Highly recommended, and Kristina is a great HVAC tech!

BEWARE! This company uses scare tactics to get you to make unnecessary, costly repairs. Three "routine maintenance calls" resulted in them leaving with equipment not working as it did before they arrived. Just last week, they tried telling me that a replacement part I needed was not under warranty when it clearly still had a year left. Overpriced. Unprofessional. Unacceptable. I reported them to Honeywell about the dishonestly regarding the warranty.

My Parents A/C stopped blowing cold air. They called Boehmer. The guy came and told us the refrigerant was leaking and that the coil was the wrong size based on the condenser. Boehmer told my parents they needed a new AC unit and it would run $4,500. I became more than suspicious. I talked my mom into calling my usual appliance repairman and to make a long story short, he came out, confirmed there indeed was a leak, but he used a sealer combined with the refrigerant.problem solved. $200.
For what it's worth, I asked the second repairman how much he would charge for a new AC unit and he said about $2,300, which is basically half what Boehmer quoted. The second repairman also said the coil was indeed the proper size based on the condenser. Basically, Boehmer just lies their way into trying to sell their most expensive product. Companies like Boehmer make me sick. You've been warned.

We have had excellent customer service from Boehmer since having our new unit installed by them two years ago. Ed was out this week to re-level our ac unit because it was sinking slightly (likely die to the extensive rains we have had lately). He did an excellent job. We have had zero problems since contracting with Boehmer the old unit two years ago. Very professional.

I have had Boehmer service three homes I own as rentals as well as install AC and new furnace in one. They are always on time, professional and pleasant to deal with. They will answer my many questions patiently and do an awesome job! I have them installing new AC in one house this month. I am so glad I found them after terrible service from others!

Rude man that came out for a diagnostic and over priced. The worst part was that they took weeks to actually fix the problem but rarely communicated it, we were left wondering what was going to happen and had to call them for updates. They also kept blaming it on their service provider when they are the ones that need to take responsibility, it’s their name and their company. Would absolutely not recommend!

I called Boehmer because the furnace wouldn't turn on. Between the time of the call and the technician's visit, we got the furnace working -- it was just a loose wire. However I kept the appointment so they could inspect and provide maintenance. It was obvious that all the guy was interested in was selling me a new furnace. He told me he knew there was rust deep inside the furnace because there was evidence of moisture when he removed the panel.
He told me I was in danger of CO poisoning and showed me quotes for a new furnace. He provided no maintenance service, and a little bell went off inside me -- all this guy wants is a sale. I guess my furnace is old and I do need to start thinking about a new one, but whenever a company makes me feel like a giant dollar sign, I don't want to buy from them.

I had someone from Boehmer come out to my house in the Fall of 2016 to look over our heating/cooling system, since we had been in the house for about a year but hadn't done any maintenance on our HVAC system yet. From the moment the guy arrived, it was pretty apparent that he was trying to upsell us hard and thought I didn't know squat about HVAC stuff (which, to be fair, is true, but still.).
He took a quick look at our outdoor A/C unit and quickly insulted it and couldn't believe it was still running (it's still running fine as of Spring 2018). He pretty much had the same reaction to our furnace (i.e. "this is a POS"). He poked around in the furnace a bit and then proclaimed that the heat exchanger was rusted to the point that it needed to be replaced, and that would be about $1250.
I was immediately skeptical and did some internet research. While a cracked heat exchanger is a serious issue, simply the fact that it is rusted does nothing to indicate that it's cracked or needs to be replaced. I got some new CO detectors so we didn't die and just left it alone. It's been fine since. On top of all that, he left mud tracks in our kitchen when he came upstairs after doing his "inspection" and was completely oblivious to this and didn't apologize. I had to get the blower motor replaced in the furnace in early 2018, but other than that, the furnace has still been going strong. TL;DR: Bad.

I can't recommend their service highly enough. It was easy to speak with someone who understood my issue, and to schedule a service when I needed them to come by. Rich, my technician, was excellent. Very friendly and professional and did a good job diagnosing the issue. Even though it required a return visit, he owned my issue and came back to complete the repair/install himself. Many thanks!

Wow! is just a small fraction of how pleased we are with the service Damon provided for our broken air conditioning unit both today and yesterday. This is actually the 3rd time Damon has been to our home and each time, the repairs/service call has been done quickly and professionally. Damon is very knowledgeable and solved a problem no one else has been able to identify. Boehmer, you are blessed to have this gentleman on your team, and we would be happy to recommend Boehmer to our family and neighbors.

Absolute professionals who truly care about customer service and integrity. After another company tried to overcharge and use pressure sales tactics, I called Boehmer and I'm glad I did. John Grivna came out to the house the same day and was amazing. He allowed me to walk around with him so I could learn about my system and showed me everything he was doing, explained the tests he was performing and where he was getting the numbers from.
When he found a questionable part, he did multiple tests before recommending replacement clearly explaining why it should be replaced (and offering a 5 year warranty on the replacement part). There was no pressure at all and he showed me on his tablet exactly where he was getting the prices from for the recommended actions he was making. I will be recommending Boehmer to all my friends and neighbors!

Excellent service provider with excellent knowledgeable technicians. Ed is courteous and professional. We have used this company for at least ten years. They installed a new furnace and AC in 2014 after recommending a higher blower capacity. Prior to this the house was always too hot upstairs and too cold in the basement in the summer and in the winter the reverse was true. Since the upgrade, our house has been much more comfortable.

If I can give a zero! I would! Has been fooled three times! A friend recommended this company. 1, summer time, employee complains ac not cool enough, they changed the motor, no results, I paid by I happy And there was no big issues. 2, I choose to trust again. Winter a gas smell, no leak was found by gas company and ac guy, John was extremely rude, he expanded wS because his last trip was unpleasant, they changed a new part!
No results! 3,r ight after he part was changed, Heat is out! They decided need a new vault! It didn't work! Btw, the tech really spend a lot of time on the parking lot, I'm saying 1-2hours. Conclusion! What they do is they will creat a problem for you to change parts! Never able to give a real check or solution! All they want is to to write you a bill! Lol. To make your life better, stay away from them!

A technician was at our home within an hour and identified the initial problem. However, after discussing our experience with the intermittent heat, he took it upon himself tocheck another issue which ended up being the root cause. He helped to let us know how to avoid the problem in the future and was very polite. I would definitely use their service again.

We had a new air conditioner installed in our house a few weeks ago. The house had never had AC just heat and we were told our existing heater was quite large but they were able to reroute the ductwork some to make it fit which was a lot cheaper than buying a newer, smaller heater. It took them 2 and a half days to finish and they were very professional the entire time - always on time and kept a good pace.
We were also mailed a box of cookies a week later as a thank you for our business. That was a surprisingly nice gesture. If you are in the market for a Nest thermostat, they installed ours with no issue or extra cost. I would recommend them to anyone and use them again in the future.
