I had a wonderful experience with Meltons. There was an error with the original bid but Melissa did everything in her power to make it right. From start to finish this team was great to work with. Prices started lower than others. Melissa, the representative was super helpful and was the only one of the 6 quotes I got who noticed the the old system would not make it out of the closet without removing the door frame. Saved me a huge work interruption if that had only been noticed at install time. Jimmy and Keigan the installers were really great.

Professional and clean and did a very nice and tidy install job. Great work guys. BTW: We did go with the Mitsubishi Mini-split and are glad we did. The consistency of temp in the house is amazing and the unit is silent. the outside unit is literally called "Mr. Slim" in the manual. So it has a nick name. Thanks again, Melton's team.

We have used Melton's ever since we had to replace our heating and air conditioning system about 7 years ago and they have always been responsive to any of our requests. They always give us a window of time to come and they come within the time scheduled. They recently came and repaired our heater and the service person was very friendly and professional. He only charged us for the service call as it was due to spiders and spiderwebs that caused the gas furnace to malfunction! I do recommend their service!

After a few months of having the unit. Since having the new unit installed, we have had to have them come back out 3 times. 1) Installation fell off the unit. 2) Relief valve dumped into our garage and air conditioner stopped working - Told that the line wasn't blown when installed & blocked. * Note they came out that day we called. THANK YOU 3) Today turned on the heat it doesn't work all red lights. Called and was told 2 weeks out to have someone come out.

They called back and will come out next week, which works, because we really don't need heat at this point. Side-note - I sent picture in on a red light issue and was told it would be checked and never heard back. They are always friendly and try to be helpful. Not sure if we should be having issues with a brand new furnace, but maybe. At this point my four star review is more a 3.5 just for the fact they have to keep coming back out. Melton's Heating Notes We received four bids (out of 5 requests). However, they were not the cheapest. Brian was accommodating and the only company who did recommend two zones for our home, which research indicated we really needed.

The Good Excellent Communication (Brian was great to work with) Fair Price Our house hasn't felt so even in temperature since we moved in. Installers were friendly and knowledgeable about installation. The Bad Clean-up afterward could be more detailed. Installers did not go over the details of the new equipment. It would have been nice to have the filters changed and exiting ductwork cleaned out.

We had recently purchased a new home that had no central air. The furnace was also about 15 years old so we decided to have it replaced as well. We got several different quotes but Melton's was the most competitive. Brian came out and let me know the process and sent me the estimate over right away. Once we decided to go with Melton's, Randy reached out and told me they could come out the next day to complete the install.

The workers arrived at the exact time they had given and finished by 2pm. They were very professional and I appreciated that they cleaned up when they were finished. We are looking forward to having a cool house this summer! I recommend Melton's if you are in the Willamette Valley looking for HVAC systems!

Ramon arrived a few minutes after receiving phone call from office that he was on his way for my yearly servicing of furnace/air conditioner. He was thorough, professional. He put on shoe protectors when entering my home, to protect my carpets. He wore a mask when interacting with me. Melton's provides very good service. I would highly recommend them.

Melton's replaced a 20 year old furnace and air conditioning unit with a new RUUD system. Service by everyone involved was outstanding. From the initial visit to look at our existing system through the follow up call to provide options I felt like Melton's had our best interests in mind. The technicians arrived on time to install the equipment and were very helpful and patient in explaining the system. Randy Melton even showed up during the installation to make sure everything was going smoothly. I couldn't be happier with the quality of service and product purchased.

Melton's always delivers excellent service and backs up all their products. We've purchased two furnaces from them. Prior to purchasing the second furnace, we checked with another company who quoted us unnecessary expenses. Melton's pointed out the unnecessary costs and saved us a lot of money. A family company that stands by their work. They may not be the cheapest but you definitely get what you pay for, excellent quality products and service.

I had Melton's install a new furnace about 7 years ago. My mother kept complaining that she was cold and I would hike the thermostat. Finally I called Meltons to send someone out. The guy didn't even say hello, just asked me "when was the last time you changed your filter?" I said I'd check the filter and showed him downstairs to the furnace.

By the time I got the (pristine white) filter out he had identified the problem. The motherboard had never been hooked up. The furnace did not work at all. Sorry, mom. Ok, we all make mistakes. Fast forward 5 years, I'm ready to add air conditioning and I call Meltons and they install a heat pump, not a cheap addition but I'm happy with it. 2 years out, it stops working.

I call Meltons. Another guy comes out. No hello, just, "when was the last time you changed your filter?" What? Is this just company policy to not introduce yourself and say hello first? Anyway, he comes back in the house and says it's not worth fixing, would cost 2-3 thousand. I sent him away. Melton calls the next day and says they want to come out and recheck. Fine.

They send the same guy who says the same thing again. I called another place and got my air conditioner fixed for $600 by the most pleasant, competent technician. Sorry Melton. I was a long time customer who has removed you from my contact list.

Well, they came to help us expand our system to accommodate another room. Said they needed to do research. Never came back. Never followed up. We then remembered they didn't show up for an appointment on another house a couple of years ago. When questioned, one of the owners just shrugged. Contacted the same firm that helped us that other time and they are on it.

Our furnace went out on us at the beginning of winter. We were without heat with two young children at home. We started working with another company who seemed really great at first, but when it was determined we had to replace our furnace, the first company gave us some estimates without asking what we wanted, and then disappeared when we asked them for other options.

I decided to get a second quote, and Melton's came out same day. Once our financing was approved, they scheduled the install for the following day and got our heat up and running as quickly as possible! They let us know that we were a top priority since we had no heat with two children at home, and we felt like it! We also were lucky enough to qualify for a special they were running which included a free a/c unit with the purchase of the furnace. The whole experience was better than we could have expected, and they came highly recommended from our lender as well! Thank you Melton's for bringing our heat back!

I bought a Trane unit from Melton's 7 years ago, and it recently stopped producing cool air at the start of a brutal July heatwave. Fortunately, Melton's sent Douglas out within a few days, and he was able to quickly diagnosis and repair the issue. It's been a long time since I've experienced the quality of customer care I received from Douglas today. Professional, friendly, and personable. Thanks Douglas!

We went with Melton's because we liked their Trane product. Service was very, very slow. Took six months of prompting and prodding for them to get it right. Possibly too many different girls working in the office who couldn't keep the cases straight. Owner would say he would call and wouldn't.

My roofing contractor could not find the gas vent. I had a chimney cap put on and was concerned. Melton stopped by within 10 minutes and identified the vent. No charge!

Great and immediate service, they were able to replace a broken furnace the SAME day I called them. They made the tax refund information very clear. They exceeded my expectations, and I highly recommend them to anyone for furnace repair and replacement.

Service and speed couldn't have been better. Randy went the extra mile, (several times!) to make my father happy and comfortable with his new mini split system. Not sure why this company has to be so rude! I have a long story for you readers out there. My company moved into 2111 Front St in Salem in a small office in April of 2014. Before we moved in there, we knew there was a problem with the HVAC unit because no matter what we do, the system would not turn on.

Melton's just installed a new replacement heat pump for me. Wonderful service, timely, got right on it. Randy was very efficient to work with and his installers were in and out of here in about 4 hours, very courteous, respectful. Couldn't have asked for more.

Melton's Heating & Air Conditioning Installed our new Trane Heat Pump and Air conditioning unit as our old one had died. It took about a day and a half to take the old unit out and replace with the new one.

Girlfriend had furnace issues over the thanksgiving weekend. Called a few places Friday, but only Meltons was open to set up appt for Monday (wanted to avoid emergency rates). Service was ok, but they totally overcharged her for labor and parts. She called and complained but they didn't do anything about it. We won't use them again.

I just had a furnace installed in a rental house. This was not a planned install but an emergency. Melton's was REALLY fast! Their onsite technician was absolutely a pleasure to deal with. Very professional and also very clean; which is usually unheard of with contractors. I have done a lot of remodel between my investment property and primary residence and they NEVER clean up as good as the tech did from Melton's. Randy Melton came to my work to drop off a bid and the next day came by my work again to pick up my payment and drop off my invoice.

This lowered the amount of time I had to take off of work. You CANNOT get better service. I would most definitely refer this company to other people and will definitely keep them in mind for future business I may have with an investment property or my own home. THANK YOU MELTON'S!

I had a gas line leak in my rented house repaired so I can't speak for the overall cost, because my landlord paid it. Scheduling the appointment was a breeze and the woman on the phone friendly. The service tech, Dillon, was on time and friendly. Not wasting any time he quickly assessed the problem and fixed it. There was a small issue with not having the correct pipe, but that was more an issue of the age of the house as opposed to an ill-stocked truck.

I like it when people come in, work hard and get the job done without screwing around. That was the case here. The quality of the job was top notch and he did a great job of explaining what he did, etc. Highly recommended!
