Scott Lineburger ensured his team (great job Jeremiah Ramirez and Jinu Kim!) was responsive to our need and was able to come install a brand new furnace in a very quick timeframe while it was still cold at the end of April this year. We never felt pressured to purchase a furnace that was beyond our present means, and were able to have a quality furnace installed that was on the lower end of the price spectrum.
We had a family friend who has been in HVAC for 40 years let us know that the deal we got was a good one, and we have had no issues with the furnace since installation. Got our 10-year parts warranty registered too. Seems like a solid business.

When the estimator, Scott, came out to give me a bid he was very professional and knowledgable. He got back to me promptly with a competitive price. The only bummer was having to wait a few months for the installation because there was a global shortage of equipment; no doubt due to the pandemic. However, when Scott did receive the 3 Mitsubishi mini-split units they were installed within a week.
The installers, Justin and Tim, were so nice and efficient! I'm real low-tech and they were very patient with me as I tried to grasp the high-tech remote, with all of it's options. I'm immensely pleased with the service I received from Salem Heating & Sheet Metal. I would recommend them in a heart beat. Oh, and I like the Mitsubishi product, as well.

When my wife & I decided to add air conditioning to our existing oil furnace heating system, our maintenance guy said there was only one place to go: Salem Heating. And how right he was. The team (Mike, Justin & Tim) showed up on time and were thorough, courteous and professional. They worked fast, but didn't cut corners. Also, a shout-out to Scott Lineburger, who helped us make the right choices, and Ed Morris for the site visit & specifications. Our experience with Salm Heating was outstanding. Starting with Scott which did up the proposal choosing the proper equipment for our home. Ed who did up the pre installation measurements, answering any questions we had. Finally Mark who installed the furnace and air conditioner, making sure all worked properly and cleared all the old equipment. Showed me how everything worked and answered any questions.

When my furnace starting having problems, they sent out a technician to look at it. We determined it wasn't worth fixing (the furnace was 30 years old). They came out and gave me an estimate for a new furnace and then came out to measure for the installation. The installers did a great job replacing the furnace, installed a new thermostat and two carbon monoxide detectors. Every person I dealt with was professional and came at the time specified. I would highly recommend Salem Heating to anyone needing heating or cooling work.

I'm pretty disappointed in the service I received. Or lack of service. I called with an issue for my split unit. It was giving me a P0 error. Which is an IPM malfunction or IGBT over-strong current protection. I turned my unit off at the breaker to reset the unit per instructions given while on the phone. The appointment was scheduled and the day of the appointment I did not receive a phone call from the tech as informed prior to arriving. Tech shows up and turned the unit on and at that specific moment, (about 20-25 minutes of testing, I have video proof) the unit operated as it should.
So the tech packed up and left and did not fix my issue. I was not there while the tech was, but that shouldn't mean he shouldn't have done his job. I called after the appointment and asked why the tech didn't resolve the issue and their response was because they didn't find anything while there. So the issue that I informed them of apparently was made up and I called for the fun of it. I will not use them again.
So the tech packed up and left and did not fix my issue. I was not there while the tech was, but that shouldn't mean he shouldn't have done his job. Mike and Jeff showed up on the appointed day and hour, got right to work and had our new air conditioning unit up and running in no time at all. I had a Lennox system installed in 1 1/2 days. Randy and Kurtis from Salem Heat were the best at making it happen. They had to create a special filter box for my system because the previous one had no filter at all. That's where the "Sheet Metal" part of their business came into play. On top of that, there was very limited space to work in and install the unit. After running a duct up to a room without one, Randy explaining the thermostat to me, and helping me with my fireplace, I was impressed. Great job.

Salem Heating & Sheet Metal recently installed a Lennox heating and cooling system for me. To start, comprehensive and detailed measurements were taken by Ed. At a later date, two very knowledgeable HVAC technicians, Mike and Matt, spent a day and a half removing the old furnace and A/C, and installing the new ones. They were punctual, very respectful of my home, provided thorough answers to any questions, and completed the project sooner than expected. These personable, polite and skilled technicians are a credit to Salem Heating & Sheet Metal. I highly recommend this firm.

Salem heating installed our Lennox furnace and AC when we built our house 26 years ago. When we decided to replace them with more energy efficient units, we wanted Salem Heating to do the work. Our installers were Randy and Brady. They are professional and very knowledgeable. They answered all our questions and walked us through the programming of the thermostat. Mike and Matt came out to our home and did an outstanding job. They were both professional and knowledgeable. They installed a new furnace, and went under my house to check on all the existing duct work. Some of the duct work was tapered down so that the upstairs of my house would get cooler. It works a heck of a lot better now.

I called them on a cold, snowy day after noticing my heat in my house wouldn't go above 68 for 3 days. At first, I was thinking my sons were messing with heat. They had a next day available, but I work 12 hours shifts. I gave them my next available day off, they said they'd be there from 0800-1200. That morning at 0815, I missed a "SPAM" call.
Thinking it might've been them I called and they immediately transferred me to Bob in service. Bob was so nice! (I felt silly calling them just 15 mins after the repair window was open) He confirmed it was not them, but I was next on their list and their technician was just about to call me. He was so helpful! It was nice he knew what was going on and The technician, (#744 I forgot his name) was SO nice, informative and very respectful.
He showed me what he was doing, why, and was very transparent. He did the least expensive quick fixes first, which I greatly appreciated. When he got to the 3rd possible issue, he noticed a clog in the air tube and showed me how clogged it was and how he was going to fix it. He was wearing a mask the entire time. I asked him to look at my gas fireplace as well (we were at 40 mins maybe) and he said sure.
He came into the house, said hi to my dogs (bonus points!) and went to work. The switch wasn't turning on the fireplace and he repaired that in about 30 seconds. I also noticed we didn't have a fan to push heat out and he said I could order that and they could install it, or they could order and install it. He was there about 46 min. He made sure my heat was on and steady. He also made sure gas fireplaced switched on and off. I HIGHLY recommend them! I will be calling them again should the need arise! Thank you guys!

I have come to absolutely trust and appreciate the professionalism and expertise shown by the folks at Salem Heating & Sheet Metal. Last year they installed a central air conditioning unit and this year responded quickly to a failing furnace. From making the appointment to the installation inspection to the install, everyone worked to the highest standards.
I especially appreciate the attention on wearing a mask during COVID and shoe coverings when in the house, as well as the good old-fashioned niceness of everyone who works there!

My furnace started having intermittent igniting issues and I contacted Salem Heating and Sheet Metal. The communication with Tiffany regarding scheduling was pleasant and accurate. Pat came out to look at the furnace and was able to solve the problem. Not only that, but he provided suggestions on proper maintenance, potential future repairs and set up the remote sensor correctly. Nothing but praise for Salem Heating and Sheet Metal.

Definitely recommend Salem Heating and Sheet Metal! We went through Costco to get a new HVAC system and they were the company that was contracted with them. Scott came out a few days after the initial call to do the quote and we had a very competitive quote. With the Costco perks offered, it was a no brainer what company to go with. Ed came out did measurements, then a few weeks later was install day.
We were having our 20 year old furnace replaced and AC installed. The whole process took two days (more like 1.5) and went great. Happy with the job and workmanship they did. You can tell they know what they are doing! If we ever run into any issues which I don't think we will, seems like they definitely will stand by their work.

After having our old water heater for 18 years my wife and I decided to purchase a new one. We have been a customer of Salem Heating for over 20 years because of the impressive work quality and excellent customer service. Scott in the Sales department was courteous, friendly, and very knowledgeable of water heaters. The installation of our new water heater again is a prime example of the wonderful work they perform.

The staff were very responsive and prompt. They installed a new furnace within their stated period of time. We had been without heat for two weeks and once we contracted with them they were able to install the furnace within less than one week. They also provided me the perks from Costco and allowances. I would highly recommend them to our friends.

We have a 62-year-old house. A year after we moved in, we had the oil-burning furnace replaced with a combo natural gas high-efficiency furnace and air conditioner. About 5 years after it was installed, we decided to have the hard-to-reach air filter changed to a more convenient location. The company that we bought the unit from quoted a figure in the thousands for the change. Fortunately, a friend recommended Salem Heating and Sheet Metal.
They changed the ducting for under $500. We have used them for annual and emergency maintenance since. Ten years or so down the pike, we woke up this morning and the house was cold. I called them, and their technician, Mark Sanders, showed up about 4 hours after we called, which was surprising, because this was one of the coldest nights this winter, after a warm and dry fall.
I was sure they were swamped with calls. Mark quickly and efficiently diagnosed the problem, got the part from his truck, and got the furnace running again. He was cheerful, helpful, knew his job inside and out. His cellphone was ringing steadily until he muted it. The house is warm again and I have a warm spot in my heart for Mark and Salem Heating and Sheet Metal.

Our heat pump unit died after being taken over by chipmunks so I had a couple bids and went with Salem Heating. They were in line with the other bids and I wanted to get the Costco rebate. They arrived on the target date and completed the work in a single day (heat pump and air exchanger). Mike and Mathew were efficient, clean and personable. They answered all questioned and did a good job explaining the system and new thermostat. I will continue to use Salem Heating for any additional work.

For years, every time I exited the Salem Costco, I glanced at the HVAC kiosk for current cash back offers. When it was time to replace our 20 year-old HVAC system, I picked up the Costco brochure, advertising 15% cash back, and called the number. Not long after, a rep from Salem Heating (Costco's exclusive dealer), dropped by and gave me a bid for a high efficiency furnace and AC.
The bid seemed high, so I got a second bid from another company. Unbelievably, the second bid (for the same set-up) was 18% less than the Salem Heating bid. Thinking the second bid may have been a lowball, I got a bid from a third company. It was 15% lower than Salem Heating. Salem Heating's elevated bid effectively wiped out any Costco cash back advantage.
I brought this up with with the Salem Heating bidder wondering if they charged a higher price to Costco customers to compensate for the cash back bonus. He said they charge everyone the same and took offense to my insinuation that they may charge elevated prices to make up for the steep Costco discount. He then took to disparaging the longtime local companies who had given me "lowball" offers. Needless to say, I went with the second bid and couldn't be happier with the price and equipment. It's been working perfectly for two years.
Other than the thin-skinned bidder who took offense to my insinuation, I have no opinion of Salem Heating as to their reliability or installation habits, but I do have something to say about their pricing. Do not assume that Salem Heating is giving you a good deal just because they are associated with Costco and cash back offers. MAKE SURE YOU GET A SECOND OR THIRD BID!

Guy came out and poked around for 20 minutes and gave us a clean bill of health after inspecting the work they did in December. The solicited service was called the "yearly inspection " -- I fell for the ruse and paid the $92 bill. We did call them looking for the "replaced air filter" as listed on the receipt which was never replaced nor left behind.
We were told that would be a separate service. I did call back after hours as I just got home and inquired about the air filter. Never got a return call so this outfit will not be coming back. Lousy service and just looking for a quick buck. #sad

The service I received was the best. Salem Heating took such good care of my home and family during a cold snap, we were only out of heat for 1 day. I was impressed with the level of concern for my family's comfort during this period. The guy's that install the unit were professional and the follow up was more then I expected.

We called for service of our fireplace to replace a gas valve and wall switch. It was obvious that the valve/switch needed replacement, it was known from the get go when we called to report the issue and make the appointment. When the technician arrived, he spent more than half an hour just looking at the valve and didn't start work until we began to question what was taking him so long.
Being charged by the hour, it was obvious he was just killing time. After 2 1/2 hrs, he was finally finished, however we didn't realize until he left that the new wall switch he installed was now white, which stands out like a sore thumb in the ivory colored double wall plate and double switch. It looks like a Mickey Mouse repair, an ivory colored wall plate with one ivory switch and one white switch.
We called customer service to inquire getting the switch changed to the right color, we were told this company doesn't do this as they only have the color white on hand! Really? In this day and age where many colors of wall switches are available by web order! The person was not only unfriendly but quite rude, when my husband said we called his company thinking we'd get good service but will now look to other companies for future service, he said fine go ahead.
Obviously this company doesn't care about their customers, need business or provide adequate customer service. If you have a high end home and want your wall switches to be matched don't call on Salem Heating & Sheet Metal, they only carry one color and don't care about customer service. Do not under any circumstances let them in your home. After installing a central ac we began smelling electrical wires burning. We found the smoking wires in the ac unit they had installed. Thank God we found it before it sparked a potentially deadly fire. They came back the next day. After more than an hour of panicked running up and down the stairs the repairman called for help.
Two hours later the lying started. You see there was this really old wire from the heating part and it had been bent for about 50 years and it's just a coincidence that it started smoking the night they put the ac in. We asked for the wire. Oh no, I'll throw it away in your trash. Bolts out the door sweating bullets. No wire in trash. Asked our contractor to get the wire. Hmmm.it was a new wire. They are liars. Extortionists and idiots. An electrical fire could have killed my grandsons. Stay clear.

Today I went to Salem Heating for the first time. I was searching all over town for a specific size filter for our office. After checking a few of the typical places I was referred to your business. I went in and they had exactly what I was looking for. Also, the lady at the front desk was very friendly and helpful and a gentleman offered to take them out to my car for me.

After our oil furnace stopped working, we made the decision to convert to natural gas. Like most people, we obtained three quotes from local HVAC companies. We were most impressed with the representation from Salem Heating and scheduled with them. After scheduling, a representative came by to obtain measurements for our conversion. Upon hearing we were without heat, he made a few phone calls and had a crew out that afternoon to complete the removal of the old furnace.
The next day, they returned and completed the install. The technicians were all very friendly, professional and even helped lift a chest out of our basement that we had been struggling to remove because of it's weight. They were here while the gas company was installing our gas line and did not complain once about having to work around them or delays when the gas company blocked our driveway causing them to walk 200 feet (one way) to bring tools, supplies, etc.
Once the meter was installed by the gas company, Salem Heating immediately came out to fire up our furnace. Very impressed with Salem Heating and all the gentlemen that helped us with our furnace and water heater installation. Showed up on time and worked in a timely and professional manner. When they were finished they cleaned everything up and walked me through all they did and how to work the thermostat.
