Called twice for a driver confirmation/eta, was told they give me call back, shocker no driver ever showed up or phone call

Needed a new fob - stuck in a garage too low for a tow truck. Called at 4pm, they said they'll be around 8pm. Called again at 8pm - nobody, just a recording with an emergency number. Texted the emergency number, no response. Going on 10pm. NOTHING!

Dishonest and unprofessional! We contacted Keyway for some work on our front door. One of their guys texted us back, quoted the price and offered a window of time for the day we agreed on. I took a day off of work to be here for the work. The entire four hour window passed by with zero word. We never got any further communication or response. I missed out on a full day of work because I was promised a job would be done. We got ghosted and still don't have the job done. Do not waste your time here!

Business hours are not truly respected. Said they open at 9:00am, but no one was there. Called the number and they said someone would contact me. It's been thirty minutes and not a call back. On other occasions I went in at 4pm, but they were closed even though business hours say they close at 5pm. Don't waste your time.

They do not program keys here, they clone them. Your car will see both of your keys as the same key. If your car allows you to program more keys if you have 2 different keys, then you will not be able to program more keys with a cloned key. You will have to have them clone more keys for a fee. No matter what the man behind the counter tells you, don't believe him. If you need a programmed key you will need to go to the dealership or find a better locksmith.

Ben went above and beyond to help me, I walked in with the smashed bits of my car key, and within 30 minutes I was out the door with a key. Great service!

I don't understand how this place is still in business. I arrived at 11 am on a Friday and there was nobody inside, even though they open at 9 am. I called several times and finally someone answered saying they would be available the next day. I am here again after calling a fourth time to confirm they were open and was told I could swing by before closing. Not even 1 pm and they are closed again even though they don't close until 2 pm. How professional.

If you value your time and don't like waiting around for service people who only show up or call well after they missed their time window, try another company. Otherwise, the work was OK, though it seemed quite expensive.

This is the only locksmith I go to. I had the pleasure of working with Lamont. He was super awesome and informative. He even gave me suggestions on how to save a few bucks before I got all of my 15 keys made. Lol. I ended up spending tons of money on my keys anyway, but he so made it worth it.

I was just trying to get info about my key fob the guy that was there wasn't really try to help I told him that my key stop working and to see if her can reprogram my key fob he suggested that I change the battery i told her that I did so he pot a new battery in cause he claimed it was the wrong one when I get a new battery yesterday from autozone he put it in and the remote still didn work and he charged me 20 for a battery that was only 5 something from autozone saying thats it was the wrong one when it was the same I felt ROB by this guy, he was any Heavyset white guy their who worked this morning.

Please don't fo here in my opinion they just trying to get over on u at least he did and he acted like if I didn't pay I could get my keys back from him so I paid when I felt like I shouldn't but I didn want him to call the cops on me for not wanting to pay. Very bad experience

Great service. Was up front and honest about everything including all pricing, which was very competitive. Would absolutely go with them again.

I dropped my kets down a grate two days before I had to leave for vacation. I called them the next morning and they were able to get the key I needed transferred from their suburban location to the 79th St. shop the same day. Both the locksmith and the woman on the phones were friendly and competent, helpful and professional. Will be going with them for future lock and key needs!

Top notch service! I had lost my last key to my car. A serviceman was at my place within 90 minutes of my call. They were in my car seconds after showing up. They handed me two keys 15 minutes later. The price was half the quote from the dealer, which required the added inconvenience and cost of a tow to the dealership and a wait for the key order. I locked my keys in my car over a year ago and it took the guy about 20 minutes to unlock my car. I should have called these guys. I couldn't recommend this company more!

I was at the dealership getting repairs for 2 recalls. One of my keys had stopped working. I replaced the battery & it still wasn't working. I was told the battery was good, but I needed another key transmitter, $303 & $80 to program. I called AAA & they suggested Keyway. I called & was quoted $229 total, so I went there. Ben opened my key & told me the battery was installed incorrectly.

He flipped the battery & it worked. He didn't charge a cent! Ben's honesty saved me $229. I did contact service manager at dealership who profusely apologized & gave me a free oil change. He said he would talk to mechanic when he returned from lunch.

Really quick response and professional service. They were out within 20 minutes and got me back into my vehicle and on my way in a snap. My technician knew his craft and was very courteous when he arrived.

They programmed my remotes for my 05 Neon and I was very pleased. Best price around, and I am frugal! Looking 4 a key and a remote this time, 01 Taurus, to program so I'll be seeing them soon. They are awesome, friendly and very professional. Definitely would recommend and have recommended. Plus, when I went, there wasn't a wait. He programmed the remote so quickly that I was in awe. Never again will I do business with this company. I contacted Keyway Lock & Security to replace 4 cylinder locks with new ones. I was given the option to pay a lower price if I wanted them to be re-keyed or to pay more to have all new cylinders. I requested and paid for new cylinders. The tech who came out replaced my new door knob with one that doesn't work and only installed one new cylinder; the other 3 were rekeyed.

I called the company on numerous occasions and visited the business regarding my defective doorknob and cylinders and each time I was told someone would be out within the hour. It's been 2 weeks and I'm still waiting. The last time I called my call was disconnected and when I called back I was placed on hold and no one returned to the line in the 20 plus minutes I waited.

So happy I found this place! My car never came with a second key fob so I recently decided to purchase a new one. The Dealership wanted nearly $300 for a replacement! I was able to find a key fob online for $15 and then took it into Keyway to get it programmed and the key inside cut. Ebony was extremely friendly and quoted me over the phone and Ron took care of me when I took it in the next day. Whole process might've taken 5 minutes at most. Would definitely recommend if you need to program your remote or cut a replacement car key.

Totally impressed. Lost both my key FOBs (don't ask ). They came out to my car same day. Took 15 minutes tops. Super professional. Required me to show proper identification and paperwork, which was comforting given the nature of the business. Replaced my key fobs. Good price. Strongly recommend.

I was disappointed with paying over $6.00 for a mail box key duplicate especially after they told me over the phone that they charge $4.50 for a mailbox keys duplicate. The fellow at the desk seemed nice but he said that was the price the computer gave him. I previously had the same key made at another location for $2.50 but they are on vacation.

Quick service has wide selection of keys for home and industrial use. Fair prices somewhat competitive but swap o rama seems to be cheaper than everyone

This company is not good with keeping appointments, I have made an effort to give them business on several occasions because they were in the area and past experiences have been good. When you call for service and they actually do come out the workers are friendly, but you're stuck waiting around all day for them. I have scheduled appointments weeks in advance for large projects and to get quotes on repairs and they never showed up.

On the last two attempts to use them, I got a call days later from a 678 area code asking if they can come now. I let the guy know I waited the other day and no one showed up and he responds they were on another job. That's fine, but a courtesy call would have been appreciated. He agrees to come the next day, once again no-show and no call. I've come to realize that they are not interested in large commercial jobs and giving quotes, they are only interested in small key copying jobs and jobs that payout on the same day.

Fair, honest prices and great service. This is a legitimate company that gives an exact quote when you call They opened my wife's car without any damage and made us a spare key at a very reasonable price

Taiwan was super friendly! Arrived on-time when I locked myself out after I lost my keys. The initial key-making process was quick, but Taiwan ran into troubles with what was suspected to be some microchip issues with my model. Despite the extra work, Taiwan worked tirelessly to contact Honda as well as Geico, making sure my problem was solved all in the same night.

He was super friendly the whole time and was obviously very willing to help me with whatever needs I had! He even scraped off the wax from the towing company that I've had on my car for months. Overall super friendly and dedicated service! I'd recommend Taiwan to anybody who has car problems!

They can make keys types here that you cannot get at Walmart. However, make sure you make the right key. I was told no refunds from their headquarters after explaining the situation of getting the wrong key made. Marcus C.

Jake has come to our location on multiple occasions and each time he has been exceptional. After a frightening occurrence, a few days ago, Jake was dispatched and got the job done, restoring peace of mind and a sense of security.

Jake came out and changed my locks. He did a fabulous job and he was extremely professional and fast.

We accidentally locked our home security lock and had to look for an emergency locksmith survive to get a key duplicate. We contacted keyway and the emergency service was really fast and we were inside our home really soon.

We contacted Keyway to have several locks re-keyed and were told that a locksmith would arrive between the hours of 2 and 4 pm. We waited until 3 pm and then called Keyway for an update. We were told that the locksmith would not be able to keep the appointment and that one would come the following day at 10 am. Hmm. The following morning, we called at 9 am to confirm the appointment and were told that a locksmith was on the way.

The locksmith finally arrived around 11 am. While we were not particularly impressed by Keyway's handling of the scheduled service windows, the locksmith who came to our residence was skilled, experienced, and thorough. All of the new keys worked well and the locksmith was very methodical in his craft. He took the time to make sure that all the parts worked smoothly and functioned well.

In fact, our locks work better than they did prior to his work. I would recommend Keyway to anyone who needed a locksmith's services and would be ok with having the appointment rescheduled on short notice. The latter condition is a serious caveat, of course, but Keyway's technician was easily the most skilled of all the locksmiths I've seen.

Lamont was very helpful and he was super nice. They have a really good prices and they went above and beyond on their service. This is my second time using their services and I definitely will be back again! Awesome job

I was distressed after a break-in occurred in my house and I decided to consult an expert. The KeywayChicago provided me with a custom safety solution that makes me feel safe and worry-free.

I called their emergency service on a Sunday to see if they could replace my lost car key. Their answering service called, and they said that they could not get in touch with a technician. She said she'd have one call back. I called them later in the day to see if anyone was available. The call service again said that they couldn't get in touch with a technician, and she could not guarantee that they'd back to me that day.

I called again on a Monday, and I got through to the business. They said that no on was there the day before. Then, they said that they could not make a key for my '97 Saturn, even though their website says that they replace keys for "old" Saturns, and they have a picture of a Saturn on their website that is older than mine. What's the point of an emergency service if they don't respond to emergencies?

Professional, precise and punctual is how I would describe the locksmith technician that serviced my rental property. If you are looking for the top of the line service then you must go with Keyway.

I lost the keys to my ford f 150 downtown last Saturday night. Pretty sure I left them in a cab. Tried getting the cab company to locate the driver but no luck. After 2 days I got quotes from a few companies. Keyway was the only 1 that a locksmith answered the phone and not a call center. I read stories of people getting ripped off and I didn't want to spend the money in the 1st place but they were straight up. Hope I never need them again but they made the experience as easy as possible and I got 2 keys cheaper than having it towed to you know who.!

My boyfriend lost his car key (I still don't know how) right before he had to drive his coworkers to a weekend retreat. He had to work, so I got the chore of fixing the problem. I called Keyway at 10:30 AM, and they were at my house by 2pm, right in the middle of the window they gave me. (If you've ever tried to deal with the very loosely defined "service windows" provided by cable companies, you can appreciate how nice it is for the worker to actually show up on time.) The employee on the phone was very helpful--he worked with me to authorize the work unconventionally, letting my boyfriend email in his ID and info instead of simply turning me away when he found out I didn't have access to his driver's license.

The work was fast and competent. He cut a new key that worked perfectly, charged me the price I was originally quoted, and even gave me the cut numbers so I could easily get a copy made at a locksmith in the future. All in all, Keyway turned a very irritating, stressful day into a problem solved. If I ever have another emergency--KNOCK ON WOOD--I'll be back.
