All pools will lose water through evaporation and splash out, at slightly different rates throughout the year. Water loss will always be greater when there is a significant difference in the air and water temperature, when its windy, or if your pool has large waterfalls or spillways. Typically, water loss through evaporation and splash out should not exceed ¼ in a 24hr. period.

I called Tropix because I wasn't happy with my current pool service. Ryan was very nice, professional and called me when he was coming out. He also called to let me know he was done and everything was working. My pool had been sitting with no circulation so it was turning green. They sent out another technician the same week and now my pool looks amazing. Thank you Tropix!

I only put one star because I could not put zero stars. They came out to my pool to clean my De filter and when the tech left I could not turn my pool off. They told me I need a new timer. I approved the work even though I'm pretty sure he did something to it. They came out and put a new timer on and when he left my pool pump would not turn on. They told me that it is because my wiring is wrong on my equipment.
I asked so the pool was working when you came into my yard and now that it doesn't work but you are blaming my equipment. I said yes you will need to get an electrician to find out what is wrong with your equipment. Needless to say, I fired them on the spot I have not been cheated by a company in quite a long time. Not to mention the rudeness and the condescension from their office manager over the phone.
I paid $300 for an electrician to come out and look at what Tropix Pools did. I've added pictures of the ineptness of the tech. Those of you who know electricity will notice there's no way in the world anything could work after he got through wiring it. And those of you that know pool equipment will notice he actually disconnected my freeze guard and left a wire hanging in the box.

I want to thank Tropix Pools for coming out to our home to get our pool up and running. Tropix made an EXTRA effort to come out to our home the very next day we called with a problem. Tropix Pools does not usually come out to our area but made this exception because we have been having trouble with our pool for some time and couldn't find anyone to get the problem solved.
The company is wonderful! Leland came out and was able to get the pool sweep running about 50%. I want to say that the only reason I didn't give Tropix 5 stars is because the pool is not completely fixed yet. We cannot get the sweep to climb the wall yet. But to be honest, there isn't a company has been able to fix our problem completely. I'm hoping that Tropix might be able to lead us to right technician who can solve our problem. Thank you Tropix for getting our impossible, nonfunctional sweep up and running so we can get the bottom of the pool clean.

I'm not giving them 1 Star bc the pool looked clean. when they would actually come. We had them no show twice and I only signed up in November. The last time was last week. No phone call or notice that they weren't coming. Then their phone lines have been down for weeks. So when I emailed to complain that no one showed up last week and asked someone to call me, they said would when their phone lines came back up. when in a few weeks?
I would think an upset customer would justify a phone call from your cell phone at least. They really didn't seem to care if they lost my business or not. After not showing up last week, they still didn't show up till the following Tuesday. I had another pool company come out and they said don't go in the pool or hot tub till they come out, the pool has no chlorine in it at all. I think they are way overpriced for shoddy service. I wouldn't recommend them at all!

Jake came out and did our estimate for resurfacing. Neither me nor my husband have ever owned a pool and Jake took the time to explain all aspects of owning, repair and maintenance. We also replaced our pump and filter system. When our old filter sprang a leak before it was replace, Jake came out in the dark and did a great job at doing a repair so we weren't loosing to much water. My entire outdoor living space is so awesome and I enjoy it every time I step outside. I had to come back and give a special shout out to Rodney with Tropix! He is awesome! Anytime I have an issue, I call him on the phone, even on the weekend and he walks me through on how to resolve it. He is very sharp and knowledgeable so if you don't what to do, call him! So I bought a house and there was a pool. I have never owned a pool before but figured, why not? So the Pool company that did the inspection just wrote down whatever the seller wanted and that was submitted to me as 'true' and the pool "Had no leaks and everything worked". Which, was not the case. I went to the BBB to find the best-rated pool company in Dallas, and Tropix was on the top. Jake came out and assessed the situation and provided me with what was broken and what was needed to be fixed later. Well, 2 years later and lots of help from Tropix the pool is working like it should. Let's just say that in the past 18 months, every bit of exposed pipe was replaced due to leaks, a new DE system was installed, new Salt system, and new Controller for the pool was installed. Also, the motor was grounded to earth so it would not shock anyone anymore, and they stopped the 3000 gallons a day leak under the deck. (My neighbor was not happy with all that water) About a year later Tropix replastered the pool and reran wires that were cut for the lights on the pool, replacing the bulbs too.
Not having the knowledge and expertise I have learned that there are professionals like Tropix that can teach new pool people to deal with the maintenance on the pool, as well as show where there might be issues in the future. Basically, everything but the motor and heater has been replaced. The people have been great, worked with me every step, scheduled major repairs around my budget. I would recommend Tropix any time, and before and after photos are available on request. Thanks, Steve

I am away from home periodically and have to make sure weekly maintenance on my pool is first. Tropix Pools has been my pool maintenance service for the entire time I've had it! I needed to re-place the pool pump motor and they came through for me! Jake and Charley replaced the pump and apologized to me saying they we're sorry for their response time.
They got me in a week, that's more than good enough for me! I like to know the people working on my pool are used by a lot of other people! Tropix Pools are honest and reputable.

Been using these guys for over a year now. Let's face it. We all own pools that are going to have different issues from time to time. It's important to use someone that has the resources to do it all. When I say do it all I mean Sales, remodeling, service and most importantly giving you advice and options to prevent bigger issues down the road.
To me a pool service company is about much more than a pool that is just clean during the week. It's about knowing that something isn't just going to become an issue. That means this company can come look at your equipment and get an idea of what's about to go wrong. All you have to do it wait to see if there are correct and they are.
I have seen it all in thus business for the last 10 years. These guys are on point. I highly recommend them for your pool service company. My tech is Shane S. He knows what he is doing. Thanks Shane!

I had my pool resurfaced, new tile and pool deck work by Tropix Pools in May of this year. I am very pleased with the outcome and the whole process. Everyone that we came in contact with was pleasant, professional and courteous. Paul, Everett, and Becky went out of their way to make this run as smoothly as possible and were always available to answer my questions.

I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for the work you completed on our home and let you know what a great job the guys did. We needed some drain covers installed relatively quickly and Kevin did a great job of finding time for us on the schedule with short notice. Unbelievably, they were no-shows twice. Called to have pool cleaned and they gave me appointment. That day came and went and nobody called or showed up. Called again and they apologized and rescheduled appointment. They said someone named Larry would call 30 minutes before appointment. Well, I've been waiting all day and no call and no visit. Utterly unreliable.

Good company, if they ever showed up. I pay more than most pool companies for weekly service on Thursday in Plano. Tropix consistently doesn't show up on the scheduled day, and never gives you a heads up. Good luck trying to plan your weekend with your pool when they come out at their discretion even if you have a scheduled day, without giving you a heads up, and telling you you cant use the pool for 24 hours.
When they do decide to come out, they provide adequate service, but I have written them now 4 times asking for a manager to contact me regarding the poor service we were receiving, and not once has a manager responded. Highly recommend you look elsewhere for reliable service, especially at this price. I wrote to cancel my service today. we will see if they respond now and bill me only for the one time they showed up this month (2 days late last week) since they didnt show up this week (when scheduled for yesterday).
On a bright note, the gentleman that they use to do work on equipment is very good. Shows up on time, communicates effectively, and is fair. Equipment repair, 4 stars (because of the contractor they use). Weekly cleaning service, 0-1 stars.

What a farce of an organization when it comes to pool cleaning. If you want a company that will take 10 minutes or less to clean your pool, attempt to charge your extra for a few leaves, doesn't back wash the pool like their website and service plan stipulates, then this is your outfit. Service manager is unresponsive and incompetent.

I have used Tropix Pools for many years now & since the new owner has taken over the company has become more professional and the customer service is wonderful! I have talked to not only the owner but the GM and I must say I am impressed! The owner is very friendly and helpful. They are willing to do whatever it takes to keep us happy! I was about to switch due to the rudeness and how the prior staff performed poorly and unprofessionally.
When I found out there had been a new turn around I am glad we decided to give them the benefit of the doubt! The repair department is quick and honest as well as the friendly remodel department. They have a great staff that is knowledgeable and kind. As a family with a pool I defiantly recommend TROPIX POOLS!

I preferred them back before they were bought out everything was flawless. I have noticed lately though I will call and ask to have something looked at and never hear back. I had my pool re-plastered last year and tiles put back on and months later am seeing stains and tiles at the bottom after every cleaning. called mgmt but they never seem to get back with me on this.
