They gave the best quote by far. The install came in a week or two. They failed to give me a heads for when the install crew came out, but that didn't mess us up, just surprised us. No funny business with payment timelines. We paid after the work was completed. Druthers: I wish they didn't cut back the honeysuckle on the old fence like they did, but I never mentioned it, and I understand you need a clear worksite. Professional, good work, good quote. Satisfied.

They provide excellent service. I've used them for several years on many fence/gate projects. Always on time and very professional.

Scott fence installed an 8-foot cedar double- gated fence for us in September of 2020. The fence was expensive, but beautiful and we were very happy with the work initially. Just one month after the fence was installed, however, the gate started sagging and wouldn't close. The fence is adjacent to the front of our home, so the sagging became quite obvious immediately.

We called Scott to come and check out the fence and got no response to our voicemails for about three weeks. When we finally spoke with the owner, Forest Scott we were told that someone would come to check on the gate. Three weeks after that initial phone phone call with Forest Scott, we were still waiting on someone to come and check the sagging gate!

Because we have animals in your back yard, we have to check the gate nearly daily to make sure we arrange it so that they can't get out. During one of my gate checks, I happened to notice that the 15 or so extra cedar planks that were left over from the job (that we bought and paid for) were gone from my back yard. We called Forest Scott and he said that, indeed, a crew had come out to check the gate, (of course he had no comment about the stack of my cedar they stole from my yard).

He admitted the gate needed some work and that they hadn't installed it properly. He said they'd come by to repair it ASAP. That was November 2020, and nothing has been done to repair the fence yet! We have called multiple times to check on the status of the "busy crew" Forest Scott continues to promise is coming to repair our fence (no mention of my stolen cedar fence posts).

Our fence continues to sag more and more, and is just about inoperable at this point. I would not recommend Scott fencing to anyone. We feel like we have been ripped off, stolen from and given the run around for the past 11 months.

My first impression was how nice and professional everyone was. The owner helped me personally.

Scott Fence installed a new gate for us and repaired the cap on our existing fence. We were very pleased with their work and follow-through. After spending well over $10K on 2 different fences over several years, same location, I needed some gate repair work. I was told they have a "minimum" service fee, which far exceeded the actual repair costs. Service Tech, Mr. Willy, said he would speak with Mr. Scott.haven't heard back from anyone since. Can't recommend anyone that doesn't stand behind their products or installations without trying to scalp you. Too many better fence companies to waste your money here.in my opinion.

I'll give them one star for someone at least showing up to the house. During a short visit was shown what needed to be repaired and I also requested the quote to reflect replacement of the entire fence. I was then advised that I'd receive an email of the quote, but never did. Company didn't even bother to follow up. Couldn't even tell you the guy's name who came survey the yard because he didn't introduce himself upon arrival, I had to ask what his name was before he left.

These guys were great at sales and install. Warranty. NOT SO MUCH! I had to speak to the owner 4 times before I got someone out to fix an issue from install. Each time with promises they would be there and then no one showed up. When they finally did, the left ruts in my yard and a bottle of mountain blast powerade filled with a yellow liquid. I'll leave that one to your imagination. Professionals they are not!

The fence is fine but you can't get anybody to come out and give you any kind of service the first time I made an appointment for Monday Friday rolls around I never got a call or anything this morning the guy supposed be here at 8:30 we we're his first appointment but something else came up I think we're going on three weeks now they like taking the money but they hate showing up to do any kind of service work I would only use them again if I lived on Mars that way if they didn't show up I would understand.

Scott Fence took down the old fence and built a nice new fence here in Baton Rouge in two days flat, in the middle of June heat. When there was a minor problem, Mr. Scott called before I was even aware of it and said two things: (1.) I have a repairman on the way and (2.) I own the problem. It was fixed in a few hours. Scott Fence did a great job and I highly recommend them.

Last week Scott Fence built a fence at our place but for whatever reason there was a big mix up in communication in planning and construction. When I called Mr Aaron, Project Manager, in the middle of the job to see what happened, we discussed the situation and he provided a very fast remedy. What would could have been potentially very frustrating situation, was actually sorted out very quickly.

I will absolutely be doing business with Scott Fence in the future; their business ethics are awesome and even the guys who came to build it had great attitudes despite the mix up and their having to do rework. Things happen, it's life; nothing is perfect, but how a business and a customer deal with whatever potential makes an awesome difference. Look, "good work isn't cheap and cheap work isn't good" and Scott Fence isn't the cheapest fence company in the area, but they were standing behind their work before the job was even finished and not making any excuses.

Look here, when you're going your Google search looking for a fence company, just scroll past the guys in your Google Search, ignore "Brand X" company and call up Scott Fence, they're worth the extra few bucks in their estimate. Business ethics matter, first and foremost! Thanks Aaron. - Don

Scott Fence seriously needs to hire a customer service rep that stays up on the jobs and notifies the customer when a job is scheduled to start, time the crew will show up, etc. I had to call and email several times to verify that they even had me on their schedule. I even asked the office person ( a lady who seemed peeved that I was asking questions about my job) if they were even interested in my business.

All she could say was that she was sorry communication had been poor. Evidently not sorry enough to do something about it. So, I'm in my 4th week of waiting for the crew to show up today as promised from said office lady. I'll post a final review when the job is (ever) finished. Update: The crew did show up on promised day, set the posts, and left the job without telling me they were leaving, or when they would be back.

They returned 3 days later (no notice) and finished the job. Material quality was excellent, work crew did was good to very good, cleaned up after job, and forgot to leave me a copy of the paid invoice. Hey, I know it's just a fence, but good communication should be priority one. Use them if you can work around the poor coordination; the workmanship was fine. Rating upgrade to 3 stars now.

I have to say that Scott Fences provided excellent service. From getting the estimate to having the work complete, everything went great. I greatly appreciate the work and recommend them to others looking to having a fence installed.

Horrible fence building methods, equipment and customer service. They use nails; no wood screws. After a few years, your fence will be falling down. I emailed Scott Fence; a gal named Bridget. She said I was S.O.L. b/c fence was installed over a year. I told her it was her reputation that was on the line. She never responded. Will never recommend this company to any one who wants to build a fence. I'd rather have given my $$$ to the family down the street who offered to build it for half the price. I didn't hire them b/c he wasn't insured so I went with a company that was and this is what I got!

I would not recommend Scott Fence. I recently had a bad experience with a residential repair job. The work itself was not the problem but the management's, very poor communication efforts and lack of interest to the customer was disappointing to say the least.
