Our experience with Narrows was excellent! We chose Narrows not only because their estimate was the lowest but because there wasn't a pushy sales type atmosphere, unlike the experiences we had with other companies. Chris' evaluation of our situation was fast, fair, and enjoyable. The installation team was friendly and efficient. We felt comfortable having Chris and his team in our home and look forward to working with them the future.

For anyone thinking about installing a mini split system in your home, call Narrows heating! I was thinking about letting a friend install the system for me and I'm so glad I didn't. It's a complex installation that involves attic and outside wiring, drilling through siding and lining up everything inside with the drilling. It took two skilled workers 2 days and an electrician on the second day. Narrows Heating set up all inspections after it was completed.

The installation is perfect and works excellently; I'm thrilled with it and ready for the summer! Thank you Chris Calhoun and all the Narrows Heating staff that assisted me through the process.

Narrows Heating and Air Conditioning gave excellent customer service from start to finish. We needed a new furnace and were interested in converting our old gas furnace to a system using a heat pump. Chris came to bid on the job. He thoroughly described the HVAC options and we made an informed decision on a hybrid heating and cooling system. The estimate was very reasonable compared with estimates from other companies. Rich, Bill, and Trent installed the heat pump and furnace.

They were courteous and answered any questions that we had during the project. Lana came out following completion of the project to resolve a minor technical problem with the outside sensor which she fixed. Everyone was professional and very helpful. Chris and the crew at Narrows Heating and AC were recommended to install a split level heat pump. There was a incentive from Tacoma Power for the system/install, and they made sure my setup and install qualified and gave me clear steps for what paperwork I needed to fill out and when to turn it in which I appreciated. The Mitsubishi ductless system they put in has been great so far with this surprise April 2022 cold snap vs my previous electric baseboard/cadet heaters. If you are curious about installing a heat pump system I would recommend Narrows for sure.

I am so appreciative of Narrows Heating and Chris Calhoun for their amazing customer services through the years! I had a 15 year heat pump that went out and the repairs were not cost effective. After checking and working with 3 different companies for bids, Narrows has the best pricing and since I worked with them in the past through my business, I chose them for the job.

At first, I wanted to replace our existing HVAC system with the same brand. But then someone at McLendon's recommended Narrows Heating & Air Conditioning. So I called them up and they put us on their schedule. They were easy to work with, told me exactly what they're going to do, and answered all my questions. The new system was installed last week and it's awesome. They say a picture is worth a thousand words so I include a couple.

Narrows H & A/C installed a ceiling mounted split system Heatpump (A/C and Heat) unit at our home a few weeks ago. Their bid was competitive and they were helpful in assisting us in deciding upon a few options for our space. We installed this unit so that out upstairs master can be cooled down for sleeping at night so that we can leave the rest of the house at at 74 degrees at night during the summer.

The unit is very quiet and it works well for the tests we did. The Narrows team has been very professional, communications were prompt, they showed up on time, made sure not to make a mess cutting through the ceiling to do the installation, and cleaned up. Very personable team and easy to work with. If I ever need to do another project, I will use them again. Highly recommended.

The owner Chris came out and gave me a quote, Chris was very professional, prompt and made himself available for any and all questions following his quote. We decided to use Narrows Heating after doing our own research we felt Chris and his team best suited our needs. We paid a little more but we got a lot more. When the city inspector came out he asked "who did the installation" I informed him it was Narrows Heating, he then followed up with "wow, these guys did a great job".

If the city inspector was impressed that must be saying something. Thanks Chris for all of your help, definitely worth what we paid, now bring on summer so I can use my new A/C.

We obtained quotes from several different companies and found Narrows Heating & Air Conditioning to offer the top brand we wanted for a competitive price. The sales representative, Chris, couldn't have been more informative and professional. All during the process he responded to questions quickly and was always very helpful. The installation was handled professionally and without any issues. A+ all around.

We had our 30 year old furnace replaced, also added an AC unit. We got three separate bids, they were all very close in price. We went with the Narrows because our neighbor used them for an HVAC replacement as well. It was reassuring to able to see their work prior to our install. Chris and the whole team were a pleasure to work with, answered my numerous questions.

They did a very nice job with the install, and left my garage and side yard spotless. Note that it did take a few weeks to get all the equipment, due to supply shortages. If you are on the fence about replacement, I would do it sooner rather than later, and not wait until the next extreme weather event.

Great communication from Chris. Newly installed heat pump did great during 2021 heat wave, but performance ebbed over time. We informed Chris, and his team came out to tweak some settings and the system has performed remarkably since then. Heat is also holding up well during the winter months now. I am extremely pleased at the exceptional service and responsiveness that Chris has provided in resolving any, and all, of our concerns.

I moved into the neighborhood, and asked a contractor neighbor (who later became the contractor on a significant fix of the house) who to call. He said, no question, Narrows Heating. So I did. Chris led the estimating team, and Ash led the install team. I needed no further info, I was familiar because of the furnace issues at the other house. You get what you pay for, and we wanted top shelf.

We got it on the furnace install and now on the heat pump/AIR CONDISH! System. Oh, yeah. Both projects made big differences in the house. Love it. I would call them again if we need something, but, we are completely good for as long as we have this house. Will call them for the annual checkups.

Would highly recommend 100%. Mid-cost company with the longest warranty on our heat pump installation.12 years! Was able to come out and complete the project within 3 weeks of the request. Financing was a smooth process with 18 months no interest. Communication was much better than any other companies that we requested bids from. We've been burned by hiring the cheapest companies before but still needed something affordable. Matt helped us from start to finish and we'd call them again for any other AC needs.

Nick, Rob and the team did a great job getting our furnace going again after it suddenly stopped after many years of working perfectly. They tracked down the circuit board we needed and were out the next morning to get us going. Any time I called them on the phone, they were always very courteous and eager to help. Actually, we have asked Narrows Heating over the years to help us maintain our old heater which they did very well. They never tried to suggest our old system was bad or needed to be replaced. At our request their bid and recommended new replacement system was fully explained and transparent. No small print. The price was fair and each stage of the installation, which only took two days, was smooth, professional, and well done.

Narrows installed a heat pump to replace our old oil furnace. We had the same great, super thorough quote experience that everyone else describes, and the installers were also super professional. Everyone showed up on time and was polite and courteous, and the work was completed in the timeframe we expected. Communication was great. Totally recommend!

Narrows Heating removed my old oil-burning furnace and installed a more environmentally-friendly heat pump system. When Chris came to give an estimate, I was impressed that he focused on matching the new system to the size of my house. There was no pressure to buy something bigger or better. It was just-the-right size. And they took care of the paperwork to get the rebate from the Tacoma Power company.

The installation team completed the task in just two days and kept me informed every step of the way. The old furnace system would rumble and shake the walls when it was running. The new heat pump system is whisper-quiet indoors, and barely noticeable outside too. And the AC works great! Thanks guys.

I use Neroes heating probably about three years ago to put two ductless units in the duplex I owned. It made a huge difference for heating but most especially for cooling. They did a great job. Good price. I'm calling them again to look at putting a unit In the home I just bought.

Narrows Heating did a fabulous job installing our heat pump and 3 split units this week. They were professional, early (all 3 days!) and were polite. They wore masks and tidied up after each day. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to others.

We contacted four different HVAC contractors to evaluate an electric furnace (which was very loud) in a house we recently purchased and to make recommendations for repair or replacement. Each of the three contractors who preceded Narrows Heating & AC said that the electric furnace was too big for the space and that it should be replaced with a heat pump or ductless system.

When Chris Calhoun from Narrows came out he said that he would recommend against such an expenditure at this time; that the furnace is only five years old and all that needs to be done to address the sound is to increase the size of the ductwork from 4" to 6" ducts - he even explained how I could do this myself. Needless to say, Chris saved us thousands of dollars.

When I thanked him for his honesty he said that Narrows is a small family business and is about building relationships; that he could not in good conscience recommend that we change our current system when what we have is perfectly fine. Although we did not use Narrows this time we will certainly turn to the company in the future and recommend to friends. I was incredibly impressed by Chris' knowledge and honesty. I wish more companies would follow Narrow's lead.

These guys recently installed a tankless water heater in my home. I will do a pro/con review. Here's the pro's: --Their bid beat Home Depot --Chris was very professional, and wore a mask --Chris was very knowledgeable about tankless water heaters --They completed the install quickly when they got here. --They are recommended by PSE to install tankless water heaters. Here's the cons: --They only install Navien Tankless Water heaters --They took about a month to actually get to my home to set up the water heater. (Mine was old, but still working). --They left a bolt untightened when they left. It caused gas to leak. I had to call PSE out to tighten the bolt and stop the leak.

When we decided to (finally!) install air conditioning in our hundred year old home, we got three bids, all from highly rated local companies. Chris really stood out during the bid process. He was masked, knowledgeable, and not at all pushy. In fact, his bid was so good that we went ahead and replaced our furnace at the same time. The install couldn't have gone more smoothly. The Narrows team was extremely professional; they worked quickly, quietly, and cleanly. We are very, very happy with the new system. I'd recommend Narrows to anyone.

Everyone on the Narrows Heating team are so knowledgeable, professional and take such pride in their work. They know their product, which really impressed me. I would recommend them to everyone I know.

We have used Narrows Heating for several years after having them install a heat / cool pump over 10 years ago. We have them come out every year for a tuneup and they are always on time. The employees are all friendly and professional and do a great job. Love these guys.

We had several companies come to our home to give us estimates for a new furnace and heat pump with ac. None of them gave us the confidence to go ahead until Narrows Heating. From the initial estimate through installation they were capable, professional and just really nice. They're also approved by the City of Tacoma if you are using the city's no interest loan program.

We had some performance issues with out heat pump/furnace. Theodore came to diagnose the problem and found that we needed a new motor and blade. When I called to schedule the repair, Gretchen said she would work with the supplier to see if it could be covered under warranty. We had no idea that it was even close to the warranty period. She was able to make that work for us, saving us about a thousand dollars. Theodore did the work very timely and professional. We are so pleased with Narrows Heating and their helpful, professional staff.

Chris and his team installed a central air system for us. Great communication and prompt installation. Probably not the least expensive but professional service is well worth it.

This is not a good review or a good look for them. We purchased a house/closed 10/27/17 and found out in 1 day the heating system was in adequate and under sized.all wrong. On 11/8/17 Narrows came out and looked at the house along with 4 other companys for bids. We received the bid on 11/13/17, We chose Narrows. They let us know after we accepted and went thru the whole process that is wasnt going to be till December 18th-23rd install that they could come out. THATS 34 DAYS to wait.we have no heat and its 40 degrees in the house.

So on December 9th Satuday, 9 days before installation, we get an email that they were cancelling us due to everyone wanting to take a vaca. I was pissed beyond belief called him screaming are u kidding me.then he told Steve that they just landed a commercial contract in Seattle.so which is it?.meanwhile we are at almost 2 months with no heat and have to start the process all over as our bids now are void and our house is 3200 square feet and 115 feet long. What a bunch of schmucks. DONT DO IT PEOPLE.

Not only was this company professional, but their staff is all amazing as well. So helpful and informative, it was like having family over. I was also impressed that they went through the trouble to find us discounts and rebates us or even they didn't know about. They really do keep up with anything and anything that can help their customers. The entire process was surprisingly fast, they dont mess around and know people need their heat. From my initial contact to the completion of the project everything was done in an efficient and friendly manner. A great local Tacoma company.

Narrows installed our new Mitsubishi mini split heat pump just in time for the hot weather this summer at our weekend home in Vaughn. Chris was super accommodating and fit us in early because of a cancellation. The installers were also very accommodating and happily satisfied our specific requests. They did an excellent job on the installation and left the area spotless.

In addition, their quote was considerably less than the two other quotes I got. Too early to tell about reliability but I went with Mitsubishi because they have the best reviews so time will tell.

From the estimate to the scheduling to the installation to the clean up to the operating instructions, very professional and efficient; fine work at a fair price.

Install and turn up was really professional and efficient, great team of installers and technicians. However follow up service is terrible. They allow a disgruntled employee at the service desk to decide who gets service or not. I had a misunderstanding re invoice and got a repair done locally in Auburn and now Narrows refused my next service call request as I still wanted to do business with Narrows. Also suggested I go elsewhere, and hung up in my face, not really good for their business but it's their call.

Narrows installed our new Trane furnace and heat pump this week. From the first contact with Steve I felt like it would be a good experience. The team that came out for the 2 day job was very prompt, courteous, organized, professional and clean. They did each step with pride. Everything works perfectly! They also had the best price out of 3 bids. I would highly recommend this company.

This is the second time we have used Narrows Heating. This time it was to replace my mother in laws furnace. Chris eplined the options clearly and patiently so everyone could follow. Ash who came to install the furnace did a very clean and professional installation. He also was very patient and polite to my mother in law. All areas of customer service were very professional.

They do not try to sell you something you don't need, where other companies do. And they also help their customers get any rebates that are out there. The lady Gail has the worst customer service she was very unprofessional and rude.

From the start up to the installation, I would have given them a Excellent rating. The electrician, who could not read the breaker log on the electric panel, lowered the score from a 5 to a 2.1. The electrician also seriously soiled two of my walls, reset my timer without letting me know, and rather than flush mount the outlet, the atrocity he installed on the wall protrudes about 9 inches.

The inspector confirmed that the electrician just didn't want to take the time to do a quality job, not to mention he pocketed my LED flashlight. I notified the sales person and he failed to get back to me in a day. I now lower their score to about 1.6. Also, when you realize you've accidentally walked off with someone's property, wouldn't you return it in at least a week?
