Price was right, except for a couple of blips, contacts with the company were excellent and the installation could not have gone better. I have no problem recommending Duncan Roofs. Services: Roof inspection, Roof repair, Attic venting

Critical: Professionalism, Responsiveness After original contact for a new roof in mid January 2021, we FINALLY signed a contract for the roof replacement on April 14, 2021. It is now August 7th (7 months later!), and there has been no response to correspondence. We are still waiting for our new roof! How does someone run a company this way! Still waiting!

I had Duncan roofs install my roof a year and a half ago and I thought everything was fine until the first storm came through. I found several leaks in my roof that they at first refused to acknowledge, and now I just get the run around when I try to find out what is going to be done about their poor quality work. I wish I had looked at their complaints on the BBB website before I did business with them, I guess now I will be another complaint with the BBB against Duncan's fly by night work.

Duncan Roofs is the . They did a fantastic job. I had a two week deadline before my insurance company cancelled me. Duncan Roofs came out within a week and got it done in a day. The quality was fantastic. Seth and Heather were availble to answer my random questions throughout the process. The company also left letters on my neighbors doors with smelly hood bears letting the neighbors know the roofing would be starting and they apologized for any inconvenience during the process! Freaking awesome. Thanks guys!

Great company that stands by their work. Had them put on a roof 13 years ago. Over the years we have had a couple service calls and they were responsive and professional. With all the rain recently we noticed a leak and they were there when they said they would be and took care of the issues on the spot. Keep in mind this is over 13 years ago I contracted with them and they are still taking care of me. I will definitely use them again when I am due for a new roof. Thanks Duncan Roofing. We were extremely pleased with Duncan Roofs from start to finish. Everyone at Duncan Roofs including Tiffany and Emily in the office are helpful and caring! Patrick, our sales person, was very professional and took time explaining their process and charges. We interviewed two other roofing contractors and found that Duncan offered a competitive price with details about their process and materials.

When we had questions about the process, Patrick got right back to us. Our roof was installed earlier than quoted which pleased us! Randy was the foreman in charge and did a great job communicating with us. Their crew cleaned up each day and worked diligently to make sure nails and debris were removed. Our roof was completed in 3 days! There was minor damage done to our pavers from their truck but Bob Duncan readily agreed to have it repaired.

He sent Norman out and we think he did an excellent job fixing our driveway pavers. By the way, Norman also was sent to our house before our new roof was installed because we had a minor leak and were concerned it could be a big issue since we were heading out of town. We were impressed that Duncan sent Norman out right away and he saved our roof until the new one could be installed.

I had needed a new roof for a couple years and spoke with Seth from Duncan roofs. He was super responsive, caring, and made the process easy for us. He was upfront about all the costs and I trust him. We had received estimates from other companies but felt best about Duncan. They use great quality products and our timberline ultra roof looks perfect.

They took off and rehung our gutters (which not Very many companies do). They put tarps over all plants and our jacuzzi, and were very clean and did not make a mess. I walked the roof when they were done and there was no mess, everything was perfect! Their team showed up first thing for two mornings with a full crew and tackled the job and made it look easy even though it's hot outside.

Among the many gentleman that were out, John, Avery, and Carl spoke with us when the job was complete, and were very professional and courteous! I couldn't be happier: if anyone needs a new roof I highly recommend Duncan Roofs!

After getting 3 estimates for a roof replacement I decided to go with Duncan Roofs. Their estimate was not the cheapest, but their warranty sold me! They will inspect the roof annually, and if needed make necessary repairs at no additional cost! There were no surprise extra charges for the job. I replaced a 17 yr old roof with minor leaks. My insurance company is happy and so am I.

The warranty is transferrable should I sell. The owner came out and met with me personally to ensure that I was happy. The job was completed in 2 days and the roof looks beautiful! They were prompt with a Wind Mitigation inspection report which I sent to my insurance company. Tiffany was my contact, she was superb. She followed up with me to let me know when the city inspector was coming and emailed to me every document needed. I would highly recommend giving Duncan Roofs.

DUNCAN ROOFING IS THE WORST. They worked on my nextdoor neighbors roof. I made sure to ask the workers if it was safe for me to park in my usual parking spot - which is in my driveway but we share an alley. The workers assured me parking there would be NO PROBLEM at all. On my lunch break at work the next day, my tire clearly had a nail in it. Took it to Bob Lees on 4th (love them) and he said they will patch it and I'll be good to go.

They were unable to patch it, i needed a whole new tire - and he saved the roofing nail for me. I have been told by multiple experts that you should never replace one tire at a time, so I decided to just replace all 4 to be safe. I also had to take a $15 x2 uber there and back to my work. I had to take time off work to go pick up my car. You can see how this ordeal is starting to add up for me.

When I called the roofing company I was extremely respectful and understanding that mistakes happen and I would appreciate a resolution. I kept being told I would get a call back and didn't hear from the owner for 4 days. The girl on the phone told me this happens to them all the time. In the meantime, one of their workers who was significantly older than me HIT ON ME in front of all of his coworkers at 7AM in the morning. I'm a 29 year old woman that lives alone and this guy obviously knows where i live.

How uncomfortable and so unprofessional! Every morning I had to deal with them all gawking at me. When the owner finally called me back - he was so rude to me I couldn't believe it! I was so calm and understanding up to this point. He told me that there was no way the roofing nail was from him. Omg! It's literally my next door neighbors roof.

He said he would only pay for the cost of a used tire. I would never ask them to pay for all 4 because that was my choice- but cmon you're not going to offer to pay for even the full cost of 1 or 2? He didn't even apologize and he was talking to me like i made the story up or i was lying. I didn't ask for him to pay for the Ubers or the time off work.

If this happens to them all the time, like his office manager said, maybe they should include that MISC expense in their estimates. I am baffled that a business owner treats people this way - he was so disrespectful to me. This guy does not deserve your roofing business.

They installed a roof system that was not contracted and neither asked nor informed me about it until after it was complete. The rationale for switching was solid however the execution was a disaster. They called for payment before most people are even home from work -- I said I would wait until the inspection. I learned about this switcharoo from another contractor at my home. I'll say that again, my siding contractors told me how the roofing supervisor told THEM how they were installing the roof but didn't bother contacting the homeowner right inside.

I reviewed installation instructions for the flat roof system they did install and realized they had done that roof incorrectly. Bob Duncan came to my house a few days later and said -- and I am literally quoting, not just paraphrasing, -- "I don't feel comfortable with this relationship". we're going to remove the roof and then you can do what you want.

I told him I would hold him to his contract. He said I wouldn't, I said I would. Then I said he's leaving because I realized they didn't perform the work properly and shame on them for leaving their customer in the lurch. This was scheduled WITH my siding guys at the same time because it required back and forth work between the two contractors. I'm now in the lurch with my siding being unable to be completed until the flat roof is installed and flashed so siding can go over roof flashing.

After Bob Duncan left I tore off the top layer and sure enough, this 3 layer system only had 2 layers which were not properly flashed allowing water to seep in under top cap sheet. They didn't install cement flashing under the drip edge, didn't use cant strips at roof/wall connection, or do proper roof/wall flashing techniques. This is amateur work performed by people who clearly do not care about their reputation or their customers.

I used Duncan Roofing to put two roofs on my home. Now I found out that they have two open permits and if I was to sell my home I would have to pay out of pocket to have an engineer come out to inspect the roof and I would have to pay out of pocket to get another permit. I have left many messages and get no return telephone calls from Duncan. I had to file a complaint with zoning to see if they can resolve the issue. Beware

This is not my first dealing with your company, but perhaps it should be my second letter. Five years ago- Duncan Roofing did a flat roof at this location. I was very pleased, so who did I call when I needed a new roof- Duncan Roofing Co. Bob, I want to thank you and your office personnel. On time- No mess- And a job well done.

It's been more than a month and it was said to be a one-day job they allowed it to rain in the home for more than 10 days lack of coordination between the employees and the management not having supplies on hand when needed making a huge mess not cleaning it up and finally now after a month when it's supposedly done they're telling us that we can't get an inspection for another 3 weeks because there's no employee available to meet with the city inspector until another 3 weeks the excuses from this company are ridiculous the only thing they care about is getting paid as soon as I pay they don't care how long it takes or what quality of the work they give you no one care that it rained in the home no one offered so much as a Shop-Vac to clean it up left it to the homeowner to clean up a huge mess of raining in the house for many many many many days unacceptable and now that the roof is physically finished it's crooked because nobody bothered to replace the termite damage rafter in the very front of the house so needless to say now that it's all finished it looks like crap not to mention that they let moldy wood in between all the brand new one $10,000 worth of repairs and we have moldy boards mixed with all the new wood and our roof is lopsided and we can't get an inspection for 3 weeks because the secretary is lazy lazy company is falling apart and unable to manage its employees are not showing up when scheduled they open the roof of my mother-in-law's left it open for more than 10 days it rained inside they never use a Shop-Vac to clean it up left it to the homeowner left a huge mess they spilled more than a hundred Nails out of a box and left them in the scattered across the driveway in front yard for more than a week never pick them up the homeowner had to pick them up replace some word left old moldy rotten wood more than $10,000 worth of work and left moldy boards in the middle the carpenter was skilled when he was able to come out the lack of consistency within the office itself I specifically told the salesman that there was extensive wood damage and that they requested it be replaced and bid into the contract we didn't care how much it cost the house is was old and in terrible repair we wanted to modernize it and bring it up to speed the correct way will they did put some new boards in but they were very quick to cover the holes in the roof that were showing the extensive woodworking that needed to be replaced but wasn't going to be replaced even those requested several times we've yet to see the pictures at they said that they took of this even after requesting it as I believe that it was severely termite that mention is the cause of the current dip in the front of the house when they notice that the beans and cells were broken we've yet to see any photographs of the internal work that we were promised we'd be able to see within the main frame of the house they've had to come out several times and replace things because they didn't bother to replace the visible code violations on the front of the house that were part of the job now they're telling us it's going to be an additional 3 weeks to get an inspection making it nearly a two-month process from the tear off to completion during the rainy season wow the current excuse is out of the secretaries mouth word for word because I don't have an employee available to meet the city for that inspection it's been a month now the house is been completely flooded dry walls been damaged from two weeks worth of raining unacceptable don't use them

Gentlemen (& ladies) about 1 1/2 years ago I had a roof replaced by your company. The work you did for us is to be commended. The work you did tying in from the shingles to my aluminum awnings with aluminum flashings was without a doubt very professional. Also the two flat roofs with bitumen application tying in from shingles to flat was well done.

My realtor was so impressed that she is going to make sure all of her clients in need of a new roof call you just as she did when she had hers done!

Horrible experience with Duncan roofs. I strongly recommend against using Duncan roofs. Workmanship is horrendous. They got tar everywhere! All over my driveway, sidewalks, pool deck, backyard deck, one of my garden hoses and my A/C unit! Of course they said they would take care of it, but two months later and it's still everywhere. Now insurance is taking care of it.

The fascia boards they replaced are now coming loose and are warped. Two months later! I am still trying to get them to replace a drip shield they installed dented and bent. Worse yet, they caused severe damage to my driveway. For the first four weeks after completing the roof, they said they would take care of all the damages. For the next four weeks, they shifted blame to the delivery company (whom I didn't hire or sign a contract with).

Now they claim they are not responsible and that the damage was prior to their work. However, I have a picture of their huge truck parked where the damage is. If it was cracked before, would they have parked their multi-ton truck on it?

I purchased a home that had a oneyear old roof thst was supposed to be good for 30years. After the first rainstorm I had a leak. The company that put the roof on no longer existed. Duncan came over a repaired the roof at a very reasonable price.

Duncan was absolutely great! They completed our roof in about 5 hours and even my neighbors gave great reviews! At one point there was about 18 men on our roof and did amazing! If you want a beautifully done roof, pick Duncan.

I called Duncan Roofs a month ago to have someone come out because I had what appeared to be a roof leak. Since it seemed small and the first appointment they had was a month later I hesitantly agreed. A day before the appointment they called and said could they move my appointment one hour later. I told them I had to leave by 10:30 (BTW first appointment was 8:30 that I agreed to change to 9:30 for their convenience not mine) The lady said no problem.

He will be there and gone. She said nothing about a one hour window. As a matter of fact they never once mentioned that. Now I cannot stay and the lady on the phone did not care one bit. Customer service 0! I would tell you they do good roofing, but I have no idea. If you want to have a roof put on or want a repair forget it if you are in any kind of hurry or want feel important, because you are not.

Beware of their crews driving through Pinellas County. One such crew in a truck with a trailer just ran a red light by Clearwater High School; cutting me off. Then a couple workers in the trailer proceeded to yell things & make gestures toward me regarding my driving. Last I checked green lights meant you had the right of way. Very unprofessional.

Not sure how exactly to rate Duncan Roofs. They came out to our house and did what they were contracted to do, put on a roof in 1 day. The laborers were professional and courteous and did a great job. The issue is one of the roofers fell through the roof, all the way through the ceiling. Thankfully he was okay and very apologetic. No biggie, main thing was he was okay.

So our back office has a huge hole in the ceiling that looks up at the plywood on the roof. It is about 3 foot by 2 foot, pretty substantial. I didn't cause any fuss at the site because they were doing their job and i figured the adjustor or owner would square everything up for the damage caused inside our house. Now, i assumed that they would either fix the hole OR take money off the bill.

I was fine with either. They did neither, i was basically told that the roof was bad and sorry about my luck. I replied the reason they were there was BECAUSE our roof was bad. They had a reputation as a good company and i expected they would have handled this with better customer service in mind. So for what could have been a fix that might have cost them $100 TOPS they have a customer that has spent a large amount of money with them that is less than enthused about their company and their service.

The roof is great, the price is on the higher side but nothing outrageous. The customer service error in judgement knocks off a few stars. Could have been 5 star but sadly gets 3 stars.

I have always considered Duncan Roofs as one of the better roofers in Pinellas County. I don't know what is happening but they signed a contract to put on an expensive barrel tile roof and committed to being done before closing the sale of the property.

My rental house needed a new roof and my property manager recommended three different roofing companies, of which Duncan Roofs was one. All three bids were comparable but I was especially impressed with the professionalism of the Duncan representative, Pat. I couldn't be happier with the result. The crew, all American, showed up on time, completely replaced the roof in one day and then left the area cleaner than it was when they got there.

I am VERY impressed. They did everything they said they would do when they said they would do it, so when I needed to replace the roof on my residence (fun year for roofs), I had Duncan back out and they repeated their stellar performance. Bob White was also very pleasant to deal with and both efficient and effective on the job. It's not an accident that this company has been in business for almost 100 years. I highly recommend Duncan Roofs to anyone needing a new roof or repairs.

My wife and I hired Duncan Roofs to make a minor repair to the roof of a rental home that we own on 22nd Ave, St. Petersburg, FL. During the repair, an employee of Duncan Roofs knocked over a ladder and damaged the fence on the property.

We were very happy with their sales, service, and after installation customer service. The salesman was very professional and gave me a folder with all the information we talked about, including copies of their contractor licenses.
