Replaced and re-keyed our back door knob and deadbolt. Dovid went above and above to ensure that the new knob and handle matched the old ones and looked fantastic. He mended even our noisy door. Excellent service at a fair price; we're delighted with the results.

Called at 5pm on a Saturday because we thought we were locked out of our house. They promptly answered and were able to explain everything. Said they would be out in about 30 minutes. Within a few minutes we were able to get back into our house ourselves. We called them back to let them know and they were so nice. I offered to still pay the access fee and they declined said they just happy we were able to get into the house. Will definitely save their number for the future!

Family locked out of condo at midnight. Murray Ave Locksmith answered the phone on the first attempt. Guy was nice enough and quick but the cost was outrageous, 350$. I just looked at a receipt from when I got 2 spare sets made and a fob about a month ago and it was 160$. Of course I'm out of town and lost my set so this was a last resort. I'd understand an extra cost for being an emergency situation but 200$. Definitely regret not calling around more. Live and learn but just a heads up for anyone else looking for a locksmith.

I was locked out of my house on a Monday night. They were amazingly prompt and got me in my house so quickly. So polite and reasonable. Highly recommend them.

2020 has been insane for sure. We lost the keys to my husband's car right before we had our first baby haha so needless to say getting a replacement was a priority. We ordered the electronic fob online and then contacted David. He came out during a deluge and was able to get the new fob connected to the car. They were reasonably priced, came out quickly, and easy to communicate with.

We had let the car sit for a month before calling so David had a tough time getting the battery to work so he could test the key. After about an hour he said that everything on his end showed that the key and car were paired but he couldn't be sure as the battery was dead. We tried to jump it to no avail. The most impressive thing about David was that he left once the car read that the key was synced but came back to try something different with the battery and test the key. At this point he had been paid and could've left and been on his way. Please call David for any locksmithing needs you have!

Very unprofessional. Do not use unless you have time and patience. I called on a Saturday to set up an appointment to get a car key made for an old junk car I was planning on getting rid of later in the week. Set up an appointment for Tuesday between 10 - 12. Tuesday comes and the time passes. I called around 2 and when the tech called me back he said "I guess we forgot to call you".

We set up for the next day for 8 - 10. I call at 9 and he then tells me he will be here between 11 and 12. He finally shows up at 12, takes the lock cylinder out of the trunk and says he will be back with a key in 2-3 hours. 2-3 hours later he calls and says they need more time, can they bring the key tomorrow? I already have the car scheduled to leave then so I tell him as long as its first thing in the morning.

I call at 930. "ill be there between 11 and 12 with key". Once he gets here and surprisingly has a working key he goes to put the cylinder back in the trunk and he had lost the clip that holds in in place. So unless you have 3 days and a lot of patience I would highly recommend finding someone else. I would have only given 1 star but they did produce a key that worked.

This week has been a week from hell.who would have thought that on the anniversary of my Dads death, I would walk outside and lock myself out. Walking to the front and back of the house, having no idea how I was going to get in, I thankfully had my phone in my pocket. I googled locksmiths and this came up. Immediately, I recieved a call back. He arrived within 30 minutes. Took about 15 minutes to open and cost 144.00.

I was quote around 100, but that's okay. He came out, in a rain storm during the COVID outbreak; and listen to me as I cried about how much this week sucked. I was impressed, to say the least.

Murray was the only one that was able to program my key fob for my Range Rover. It only took him 10min to do. Great service!

Initially, I had a rough experience. We were given an estimate over the phone for a simple lockout with an increase in price depending on difficulty. We made an appointment for 4-4:30, however, they did not arrive until around a quarter to 6. Our door ended up needing a simple lockout, but the price we were charged was $150 over the given estimate. Based on this experience, I wouldn't have recommended them. However, on the following business day (which ended up being Labor Day because I had forgotten), I called to get clarity on the cost.

Being Labor Day, the owner was at home. I fully expected a call back later in the week, which was fine, but was surprised to have him call me right back on his day off. He went above and beyond to make that adjustment for me. Everyone I talked with from the person who came out to the owner and managers were very pleasant, helpful, and friendly.

Extremely unprofessional and unresponsive business, to the point I'm going elsewhere. Over the course of 3 weeks, I visited the shop twice (one time it was randomly closed on a Friday) and called them 4 other times, all trying to have them order a car key fob and then do the programming and cut. When I initially stopped in to ask of they could do it, they confirmed they could, and would order the fob and call me when it was in to come by for the programming.

I continuously followed up, and each time had to re-explain my request, and was told they would look at their records, and get back to me within the hour with a status. The one time they actually called back, the man apologized for forgetting about it, and said he would order it immediately, and it should be in within 2-3 days. That came and went, and follow up calls were met with the same "we'll check on it, and call you back within the hour".

I tried to give these guys my business so many times, and I'm over it now. This seems like it'd be easy money for them - order a fob and program it with a machine they must already own, but it's been impossible to get them to follow up on any of their assurances.

This locksmith service is really the best. It seems that people always get locked out at the worst times, and I can tell you in my case, that is true. I was locked out of my house a few days before my wedding with fifty things to do and all of my backup keys gone, I was really left in the lurch. Fast forward almost no time at all, Uri comes to rescue me from my dire straits. Uri was fast, smart, funny, and calmly helped me out in a stressfull situation. Cannot recommend him more.

With sensitive situations like lock-outs, it really pays when the expert that comes to fix your problem is knowledgeable and helpful. When you really need something unlocked, you have go with the best, Murray Ave Locksmith and their locksmiths, are the most dependable, kind, and trustworthy locksmiths around. I have used them other times, both in their store (key copying) and to have lock maintenance done (rekeying locks etc.) and all of my experiences have been superb.

Very disappointed with locksmith, they said it costs 90+20$ and they charged us 147+29$. I asked why, he said different price for different cars! We left the key in trunk, it took 38 seconds to open the door and he said you should try to open the trunk and the left ya. We said the key is in trunk but after one minute he got his 176$ and left us. They literally robbed our packet and left. Thanks to locksmith to be that awesome!

We had a great experience with this vendor. They responded quickly and helped solve an issue with our garage door lock. They provided a few options and worked late to finish the job. The employee we worked with was Tim and he was very friendly, pleasant and hard working.

Excellent service! I scheduled an appointment to have locks changed on a new house. The technician arrived on time and was well prepared. He assessed the doors and very professionally and thoroughly described my needs and the cost. I also appreciated that he highlighted positive aspects of the doors/locks, and also warned me about the ease of being locked out with the design of the locks.

The technician completed the work within about 15 minutes and had me test the keys/locks before charging me. Though I do not have a point of comparison, the price seemed fair. Please note that they strongly prefer cash or check to credit card. I will definitely call Murray Ave Locksmith again for any future needs!

I locked the keys to my rental car in the damn trunk. And the 2018 Toyota Camry security feature is to not allow the trunk latch to work if you have AAA break in for you. No one, even Toyota, had a solution other than making a key. Dovid Jacobowitz is amazing! IF YOU ARE EVER IN Need, Dovid is the best car locksmith evah! Pittsburgher's pride themselves on the love of their city and their devotion to the Steeler's but let's face it, often when you walk into these small neighborhood shops, getting service is like pulling teeth. Not so with David and the team at Squirrel Hill's Murray Avenue Locksmith.

There was a customer being served when I walked in. She had a very large key making order and graciously allowed me to go ahead of her. I still had to wait a while though as the person working took what seemed to be a personal phone call in the middle of it. She was otherwise friendly enough and advised me the key tags I had were $10 and suggested more affordable options. The keys themselves stick a bit in the lock but work with some effort. Will definitely go back again.

Extremely disappointed. They wanted $215 to change a lock on a storm door. Really? I just called Lowes and they quoted me $199 to buy an identical new replacement DOOR! They still charged me $29 for a service call.

Extremely disappointed. I went to Murray Avenue Locksmiths to get two keys cut. I prefer to avoid big box stores such as Lowe's and Home Depot and the like. I went here trying to support the little guy, and hoping to get a quality product from a skilled locksmith.

The owner showed up within the hour and I had a new lock on my door with very little time spent. I had to change the entire lock and knob and he came with his fan fully equipped with a nice selection of knobs to choose from.
