Cost $150 to open my car door after the key fell out of my pocket and I locked it inside. I'm not sure how the price compares to other locksmiths but Edwards Bros sent a guy within half an hour of my mistake and unlocked the door quickly without causing damage. Prompt and professional.

On two separate occasions we used this locksmith for a property of ours in McKees Rocks. On both occasions they were 1 hour - 1 and a half hours late with no excuse other than, "the technician is supposed to be there." or "he might have had car trouble." After two appointments with the same results they have shown they are not reliable and do not keep appointment times. Would not recommend to use.

Two weeks ago I contacted Edwards Bros for a problem with the cylinder of an exterior door knob. They sent a subcontractor quickly who fixed the problem in less than 5 minutes and was very polite and professional. I have no issue with a subcontractor, but should have been told. The subcontractor charged $178 - including a $90 lock out fee, which I dispute both during his visit and after because I was never locked out and the $178 was supposed to be for an entirely new exterior knob.

He replaced only the $10 cylinder inside the knob. When I asked about this, the subcontractor said it would have been over $200 for a new knob. I asked for an itemized receipt, no itemized receipt could be provided, but I was told it would be emailed with my Square receipt. After the visit when I reviewed the subcontractor, he offered to refund 10% and said that the costs are part of being the subcontractor.

Not having any kind of itemized receipt and the $90 charge for a 'lock out' when I wasn't locked out - he fixed the door from inside the house - are my reasons for a lower rating. If I hadn't needed to repair the door knob urgently, I would have refused the repair for the costs. The door was fixed correctly and quickly by the subcontractor. Pro: Fast (less than two hours), completed the job effectively, polite subcontractor Cons: No itemized receipt, used a subcontractor without telling me, unclear fees

I called early in the morning (7 am) because they were listed as a 24 hour service. Upon calling, the representative told me that someone would be out in 15-20 minutes. I was pleased to hear this. 15 min later, I realized that they may not have the right directions so I called back.

Tried to do a comparable quote to have a a new key and they would give me only starting prices when the car dealership, Ace Lock smith, & Pop-a-lock gave me exact quotes over the phone. I would not trust anyone that can not give a price until they are on site and jack the price up or down depending on how nice your house is.

Horrible! called at 6:30 was told that i would receive call from tech in 20 mins. Never called I called back after 2 hours. Was told that I would get a call after I hung up. Never called. I called back told that tech would call me ASAP. Tech finally called said that he would be there in 1-2 hours.

I tore up my house looking for my car keys. I couldn't believe that I lost them and I was late for work. I called up this automotive locksmith and they were able to make me a duplicate and it was cheaper than the dealership.
