Last month I reached out to Bob Scherer Locksmith to replace a front door lock that stopped working. My house is over a hundred years old, and this lock has gotten continually worse until keys no longer worked. After sending photos to Bob Scherer Locksmith, I made an appointment for a day or two later. I've been in this house for decades and over the passed 15 years we've had to jiggle the door knob to set the lock every day. Now, my door lock functions like new. Also, I needed keys for my back door, but the locksmith was able to replace the rosette to match the front door. two doors- one key. Hallelujah! I have used Bob Scherer twice to replace door locks and both times, Jim the locksmith, was very knowledgeable and professional. The charge for the service was very reasonable. He explained what needed done to replace the lock and did the job quickly and professionally. He was very nice and I will definitely use them again. I highly recommend Bob Scherer Locksmith.

I hate to leave bad reviews, and this has nothing to do with the locksmith but rather the customer service. I had to cancel an hour before an appt because of a medical emergency and the person who answered the phone just sighed and was aggravated. I did my best to give notice, and I know an hour isn't the best, but I needed to get to my doctor. I called as soon as I could. I would have just appreciated a little more courtesy.

Jim called ahead and came early. Great because I had another appointment. Jim was very amicable, I was extremely comfortable with him in my house. Was very thorough. Rekeyed locks in newly bought house. I would recommend HIGHLY. Bob Scherer Locksmith, Inc should be high on your list when getting estimates.

Worked with Jim to source a part from inside a broken commercial panic push bar. We brought the unmarked part in to the shop and he was able to help us figure out its manufacturer as well as find a current supplier for a replacement. He called us promptly when the part arrived. Very pleasant experience all around. Will certainly keep his number in our contacts for future use to keep our clients up and running.

Bob was great! I called the morning of to have my locks changed. His front desk took my message and he returned my call just a couple of hours later and was headed my way. The same night I realized I forgot to have him change my back door locks as well. I called the very next morning and despite his busy day, he came first thing in the morning. I highly recommend this business!
