To say working with Paul Lester at Kidd Roofing was an outstanding experience would be an understatement. These guys are top notch professionals. The manner of how they conduct business is wonderful. The integrity of the company shows when you see the finished product. Paul Lester's metal crew aced everything they did. They even neatly stacked our old metal roof they had to tear off from an absolutely terrible job a previous company had installed only a few months ago.

It was a huge relief when I came home from work and immediately loved the new roof they installed on my house. I can't thank them enough for a job well done. You will be hard pressed to find a better roof company. I highly recommend Kidd Roofing.

Kidd Roofing replaced our roof after it was damaged in a hail storm. They did an amazing job! They were extremely flexible in scheduling the work and did a great job of working with our insurance company to make adjustments. Even had the roof inspected by a third-party inspector. He couldn't find anything wrong with the roof -- said it was some of the best work he'd ever seen -- and even asked for their contact information so that he could add them to his list of companies to recommend.

Nice and polite sales people. That's the only high in my dealings with Kidd. They promised to manage the whole project and ended up having me contact and manage contractors to get the work done. They promised to deal with my insurance but never did. I had to work with the insurance to get the paperwork submitted, get checks, get depreciation etc.

I even had to correct wrong estimates - fortunately the insurance was ok to approve new amounts for the 3rd. time for the same item. They offered additional services which were not part of the scope which I didn't agree to hire. They simply did not perform services that WERE part of the scope claiming the extra was required for them to deliver what was already on their estimate.

The project included replacing the gutters. It's been weeks and the gutters are leaking in different spots whenever there's a small amount of rain. They promised SEVERAL times to come check it. They did come back once after some insistence, looked at it but the problem has never been resolved. They don't read emails or texts. They don't reply and sometimes even ask questions that have already been discussed previously showing they don't really manage each customer individually. But. they are pretty quick to submit invoices.

After insurance approved payment for a full roof replacement after a windstorm, I was thankful my insurance company was able to provide a list of roofers. After doing A LOT of research, Kidd Roofing rose to the top, and thankfully my research would soon prove why. In what seemed like minutes of sending a request to have someone contact me, my phone was ringing. Paul Lester with Kidd Roofer introduced himself, took the time to patiently answer all my questions (never have had the need to engage a contractor or roof company before), gathered all the preliminary information needed, and an appointment was made to assess the roof for a quote. Paul Lester arrived on time and again was very professional.

Even before a quote was approved, he took the time to apply some temporary patches/fixes on some of the more exposed areas. Paul Lester as promised had a quote sent on time and based on my research and talking with the insurance company, and others, the quote was reasonable and competitive for what a quality repair job for the size roof I have would be expected to cost.

With the quote approved, a time for installation was set. Paul Lester's crew arrived on time and did an excellent job. They took care and time to do a thorough clean-up job. In fact besides the obvious great-looking new roof, after they were done, one wouldn't know major work had occurred earlier in the day. Even better, not only did they arrive on time but finished ahead of schedule! Afterward, Paul Lester was very patient and helpful as a combination of holidays and COVID caused some insurance slowdowns.

Despite all these hassles (on my and the insurance company's end) Paul Lester remained very helpful, patient, and accommodating. I cannot recommend Kidd Roofing and thank Paul Lester enough. If you have a project that requires a friendly-professional, timely, competent, and competitive contractor/roofer, my advice; give Kidd Roofing a call.

I'm really impressed with Kidd Roofing's customer service. We had a roof leak after the recent rains in a location they'd previously worked on, and I was expecting it to be difficult to get them to come back to investigate since it had already been around 9 months since the previous work. That was definitely not the case! Chad came back out again right away and did a full array of tests to figure out the cause. It's good to know that they stand by their work and will come out to fix anything not up to their standards, even if you don't find out right away.

Matt Boyles was awesome! We had a leak in our roof and he was able to locate it and repair it without issues. He was very professional, climbed into our attic where the water was coming through to figure out the leak on the roof. Once in the roof it only took him a moment to figure out what happened and the repair was in. He is always responsive to my texts and calls, and the next time I need roof work, I'll call Matt and Kidd Roofing.

Paul Hale worked with us on our roof replacement. He was very professional. His crew was excellent. We also added some freeze board and chimney siding repairs. SPENT $15K+ REPLACING WRONGFULLY INSTALLED ROOF - AVOID AT ALL COSTS: I have the whole story below but in summary, I had to replace entire roofing after only 5 years of Kidd Roofing new roof installation due to horrific workmanship and labor butchering the job. My roof was replaced by Scott Nelson from Kidd roofing in 2016 for $11,000. Within 2 years of the install there were minor leaks seeping in the house that I got fixed and within 5 years the entire roof had multiple leaks + dips forming.

A few weeks back in 2021, I started seeing multiple additional leaks in the house from the normal rains in Austin. At this point I decided to get professional roof consultation by Kidd Roofing and multiple other roofing companies. Turns out, instead of tearing down the shingles and underlayment all the way to the decking, Kidd roofing labor in an attempt to save cost, installed underlayment on top of previous underlayment. Also, there were several places discovered where the nails were drilled right through the shingles.

The install job done by Kidd roofing was both hasty and unprofessional due to which the new roof started to give in only 2 years post-replacement. Here's the real catch - When I called them to inform them about the problem, I was ignored and given the silent treatment. I had one person from Kidd roofing show up after a week from the initial call for a consultation who told me 'He needed to get actual engineers here'.

Those 'engineers' called me to schedule a time and were a NO SHOW for the scheduled time. I called and left voicemails to be completely ignored. Things get even worse - When an 'engineer' (Paul) did finally show up, he checked out the roof and bolted. literally ran away. Instead of talking through the roof and repairs needed, I saw him put his ladder in the truck and simply leave.

I was never contacted by anyone from Kidd Roofing again. Multiple times during this process I had to tell myself 'This has to be a Joke' but the only joke here is Kidd Roofing and it's employees. Long story short - There are several other really good companies in Austin that will do a good job at a fair price and if things go wrong, own them and treat you right as a customer.

I had to pay for the entire new roofing ($15,000 +) myself since insurance doesn't cover 'WRONGFUL INSTALLS'. If you want to avoid reinstalling your roof again in a couple years and pay for all of it again here's my advice - AVOID THIS COMPANY.

Mr. Davis Grant came and looked at the home damage and sent us the estimate. He told us the job would take about one and a half days to complete. The estimate was not an itemized estimate but we accepted the estimate because he promised it would be done correctly supervised by himself and done efficiently and expeditiously. The work took close to a month to be completed. Mr. Davis Grant did not communicate with us on when he would send his crew.

He did not give us any advance notice We would sit and wait for the crew to show up. He did not arrive with his crew and did not supervise his crew. When the crew showed up to install gutters they brought the wrong color. We told them it was wrong. They argued with us. We called Mr Grant and he said he would look into the matter later. The crew reluctantly left.

Yet again no communication from Mr. Grant. We kept calling him. When finally he sent his crew with the correct color gutter the crew started installing the gutter wrong. My stepdad had to supervise the crew. We called Mr. Grant to inform him that the installation was incorrect. He told us he does not have the time to be down south. We reminded him they it's his job to supervise his crews.

Two pieces of the gutter were still the wrong color and another piece was scratched and damaged by the machine and/or the crew. They had to come back another day to repaint. We expressed our disappointment and dissatisfaction with the lack of communication and lack of workmanship and quality of the job. We asked for a discount. Mr. Grant was less than professional and cooperative or courteous.

He repeatedly had said he left messages with us or our parents when in reality he hadn't. He originally told us he would discount the cost to 2300 for all the mistakes and lack of quality. Then he refused. Additionally, he refused to do business with me and would only contact and speak with the man of the house, AKA my husband. I was left off all emails and my calls went unanswered time and again.

But when my husband called or emailed, it was responded to. Misogyny and terrible service? Uh uh. I would not recommend this company to anyone unless you are looking to punish yourself.

I had the BEST experience working with Kidd Roofing. Our roof and gutters had suffered hail damage and needed replacement. We talked to other roofers, but our contact with Kidd Roofing, Scott, was leaps and bounds above the others. He was clear, communicative, and there were no pushy sales tactics. I had a lot of questions and Scott was always willing to explain things and help us understand the process.

Once we signed with Kidd, the work was done on time and to a very high standard. In fact, my neighbors commented how good the new roofed looked and how hard the team worked on installation day. Scott remained involved throughout the process--he came by to check-in on the work and went the extra mile to make sure we were satisfied. There's a lot of roofing companies out there, many of which are "fly by night" or focus only on high pressure sales. Kidd Roofing, on the other hand, was exceptional. They have been successful for a long time (since 1982) and it shows. Thanks again for everything Scott and the Kidd Roofing team! You have a customer for life!

After reaching out to a few Roofing Contractors, we decided to use Kidd Roofing. I appreciated their no pressure sales tactic unlike a couple of other roofers who asked to sign contracts during their initial inspection. My contact was Paul Hale. He was knowledgeable and helpful throughout the process - thank you, Paul! If their is a nit to pick, I'd say that it took Kidd a little bit longer than I would have liked to schedule my roof replacement. but in fairness this was after a hailstorm in the area so there were a lot of roofs impacted. All in all, I am pleased with the experience. Thanks guys!

Paul Hale was my point of contact for Kidd Roofing. The man was a true professional. Not only during the initial quote did he give me a very descriptive explanation of the standard roof replacement procedure, but he also made sure I was aware of how my job would or would not require specific considerations. He was very respectful and didn't try to upsell me on every add-on his company offers, but rather emphasized that particular ones would have value while others wouldn't make sense for my roofing needs. Additionally, he appropriately set my expectations with the supply chain delays as well as how the day of service would play out.

And finally, every time I have reached out to him, he has responded within 24 hrs with a definitive answer to my questions. I have been very happy with Mr. Hale's skills and services and I hope the other members of Kidd Roofing are as professional as he was.

Update: I regret leaving a poor review, but unfortunately the second meeting with a superintendent from this company was terrible and unprofessional in tone. I asked the builder to send another roofing company to address issues found by a third-party inspection, issues that were somehow missed by the superintendent the three times, supposedly, that he'd been up on the roof.

The other team that the builder sent from a different company spent hours on the roof addressing defects (popped nails, a hole, etc.) I'm leaving this update after finding a comment someone left on Facebook about homes in another new subdivision (Goodnight Ranch) having roofing issues and that their builder also used Kidd Roofing. I see that some people had positive experiences with them - and I wish mine had been that as well.

Chad of Kidd Roofing showed up to fix our roof while it was raining. He went up onto the roof after an initial look in the attic, found the problem and fixed it, while it was raining. Great job and very timely. Thank you Chad and Kidd roofing. They are our go to roofers.

We had a fantastic experience with Kidd Roofing. After we requested the quote, they came out the very next day which is super fast. When the quote came above what we had budgeted, Allen was able to adapt the project to fit within our budget. We changed our mind a few times throughout the process, and this company was so nice and understanding about the changes, which we truly appreciated.

The install was done much sooner than we had expected, and the install was a quick process and the quality of the work was incredible. Throughout the entire process there was very good communication with us, and when we asked questions they were promotly answered. Max Miller at Kidd Roofing has really come through for me and my clients on more than one occasion. I am a licensed architect and realtor, and I always have clients needing some kind of roofing work. Roof leaks can be tough to nail down, so to speak, and Max and his crew are pros. I would hire him again and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for either a new roof or roof repairs on either a metal roof or comp shingle.

They may do more flavors of roof but those are the 2 that he has done for me. In the 4 years of working with him on a variety of homes that needed a new roof or needed a repair, I have been impressed with his clear communication and quick response. He does what he says he will do and he never tries to renegotiate his initial cost estimate. this is very valuable to me.

Fast response after requesting a quote, and very reasonable in price with excellent work. You won't find a cheaper gutter installation with what you get.

Disappointing unprofessional company. Was highly rated on GAF shingle website. I called twice for them to please come out and give me an estimate for a new roof. Whoever was supposed to respond never even tried to contact me. If they're not able to talk to me as a new customer, how will they respond if I'm having trouble?

I would without a doubt recommend anyone looking to replace their roof to use Kidd Roofing. They recently replaced my roof, and I am extremely satisfied with their work. Micah was very friendly, and provided a very reasonable quote, and the labor warranty that they offer would be tough to beat if you shopped around. Their crew is very courteous when it came time to the construction, always picking up their trash and keeping the workspace safe and clean.

Jeremy and his install team did a great job on our roof following a hail storm. It was a complete tear-off and replacement. Responsive, informative and safe. Did a great clean-up (no flats and no left-over nails found). The new roof and ridge venting look great, and I would 100% recommend them.

We live in a new build community where they've installed all the roofing and we had shingles blown off on a mild windy day. Our builder and Kidd Roofing tried to tell me it was an act of god but it was a windy day, not a bad storm. Fast forward a few months and now everyone is having problems with their shingles flying off in the wind or mild storms. They only have a 1 year warranty on their roof which is absurd. I used to work for a company that sold/installed roofing and their warranty was for 30 years.

Max with Kidd Roofing did a great job of managing a very small roofing fix. We needed to have our dryer vent moved since the solar panel company installed a panel over the vent. This was a small job and it was difficult to even get a roofing company to come out. But thank goodness for Kidd Roofing! They cheerfully and at a reasonable price moved the dryer vent. When we replace our roof Ridd Roofing is our go to roofing company. Thank you Kidd Roofing and Max.

This is an honest dependable Austin company. My insurance company USAA recommended them, the Better Business Bureau gives them an A+ rating. They are an excellent company - did my roof on time and did an excellent job. When I needed some paperwork, Max Miller, their representative went out of his way to get it to me fast. Thank you.

After a serious wind and hailstorm storm totaled our roof, we called Kidd Roofing based on a friend's referral. We could not have asked for better service than what we received from Jeff Marshall and the roofing crew. Estimates were fair, Jeff stayed on top of things, and the crew worked from early morning to late evening to make sure the job was done right and on time. Jeff even checked back with us after the job was completed to make sure we were satisfied. We were!

I needed a roof on my house in Austin and called Kidd on a referral from a friend. He's still my friend, but Kidd told me they would be back to me in 2-3 days. After 10 days I called them again and said "if you're interested in my business, call me back". Never got a call. I found another company that was outstanding AND returned my calls. Bottom line forget about Kidd because they forget about you.

Got 4 quotes. Kidd roofing was the best price, best warranty, most professional and extremely easy to work with our insurance company. They said an inspector would check their installation, and he did.

Came to our home and conducted a 5 minute inspection and charged us $175. We have heard nothing from them since. Request for inspections is a SCAM!

Kidd Roofing is the best. They held my hand through all the repairs after the April hail storm- new room, repainted and fixing the deck and stucco on the house and replacing the gutters and downspouts. I have to give special kudos to Darla Thompson who was my Kidd roofing contact and coordinator. She was so good to keep me informed, explain the repair process and work with me when we hit a snag ( old house, weird stuff done before) I can recommend Kidd with out reservation. Thanks so much.

I recently contact Todd Rossington with Kidd Roofing and after his evaluation, contacted my insurance provider. The adjuster agreed with Todd's expert opinion and insurance covered the cost of roof replacement.

CALL THEM! Kidd roofing is THE roofing company to call. I am in real estate and make phone calls all the time to different tradesmen. You would be surprised how many times the never call back, or show up really late or not at all!
