White installed our HVAC 32 years ago in our new home. Replaced the furnace 10 years ago when the energy rebate was offered on federal taxes. Kept the AC, rep said it was a workhorse, which has proven true. The AC stopped cooling on a Thursday night. Called for service on Friday, got a Monday appointment. Tech was on time and had it fixed in an hour, just in time for the return to the 90 degree days.

My Nest thermostat informed me there was a problem with my air conditioner when I first tried to turn it on for the season after using it without a problem all last summer. White heating and cooling sent someone out to repair it and he replaced a controller in the a/c unit. The system now works perfectly. He also noted that the Nest thermostat needed an additional wire to be connected.

The missing connection is likely the cause of the problem with the controller. I really appreciate the knowledge and professionalism of the man who came out to repair everything.

Having some AC problems with it struggling to keep the house cool. The crew was able to get us scheduled pretty quickly, were punctual, and got to work quickly. They were very polite, respectful of the house, and very personable. They were quick to diagnose our system and take readings, as well as taking the time to explain the readings and what the concern limits were, so we were fully informed of the health of our system.

They went over and beyond in doing some rewiring for us that the google pro had left problematic after we upgraded the thermostat. It was an easy sell to convince us to sign up for a service plan to maintain our system. The two guys did an excellent job and look forward to seeing them again in the fall. AC system has been humming along since the visit. An easy 5 star rating.

I was able to schedule a new appointment very quickly. Technician arrived right on time, diligently checked out the system, and was honest about repairs and life expectancy of the system. A lot of other folks I've worked with try to push the newest system on you at every visit but I felt like Miles was making suggestions in my best interest and not just trying to sell.

White Heating provided the absolute BEST experience I have ever had with a service company in my home. When I called and spoke with Jen to schedule an appointment, she was extremely kind and helpful. She even called me to give me an update on when to expect the technicians. The technicians that arrived (Keith and Frankie) blew me away from start to finish.

They came to the door with masks on, as requested, and without any prompting, put covers over their shoes upon entering my home. They proceeded to troubleshoot and diagnose an issue with my furnace that a previous company suggested was a problem with the blower. Thankfully, Keith and Frankie determined the real issue was that my filter was too restrictive for the system.

They replaced the filter with a less restrictive version and adjusted the blower speed. All the problems were immediately fixed. I proceeded to ask them numerous general HVAC question, and specific questions about thermostats and heat pumps. They listened patiently to all of my questions and gave me thoughtful, honest answers to each one. I was so impressed with the overall experience that I immediately signed up for their 5 star program, placing all of my future HVAC needs in their hands. From start to finish, White Heating proved to be kind, helpful, professional, knowledgeable, and honest.

The technician arrived on time. He was both personable and professional during the entire appointment. After diagnosing the problem with our old thermostat, , he explained every step of the installation process and helped us choose a non-programmable thermostat, which would be most suitable for our needs. The thermostat was installed on the spot and the technician taught my husband and me how to set it and change the batteries.

The only part of the experience I wish had been different was not knowing the price of the thermostat and the installation until after the job was completed. Otherwise, we were very pleased with the experience.

White Heating installed our new furnace, AC and humidifier. This was a big job that was completed in less than two days in the most accommodating way for our family. We are grateful for their service and professionalism starting with Justin, for recommending the right size for our house, and Mark and Chris for their high-quality installation and leaving our house clean after the installation. We have had White Heating out 2 times this year: once to service our air conditioner that stopped working on a day that was insanely hot and we had guest coming in to town for the weekend in a few hours, and once to service our furnace which was malfunctioning when it was 15° out. Both times we called someone was at our house in a little over an hour, diagnosed the problem, explained the issue to us, and repaired it quickly and at a very reasonable price. Myles and Shawn were both great so It's no surprise White Heating has so many positive reviews. I will definitely call them for my future heating and cooling needs and advise you do as well.

Even though not a previous customer, White sent a technician on the morning that I reported my furnace was not working. The furnace required a part and Shawn returned in the afternoon with the part. Shawn did a complete maintenance check -- finding issues that should have been addressed by a repair person from a different company the day before. The scheduling person was very personable and helpful. Great job.

It was only a couple months ago that I went on Yelp to look for a AC company and white heating had good ratings and reviews so we took a chance and now here I am saying all those ppl that left good reviews were spot on, the customer service and prices are very reasonable, the crew that came to install the new AC unit we're super friendly, and if that wasn't enough we even got a card in the mail thanking us for choosing their business. It's the little things.

Can't say enough about how Justin, Austin and the rest of the team at White Heating helped us out of a jam when our furnace went out last week. With the first cold temperatures of the season coming in, I noticed our furnace was blowing cold air. After trying a few quick fixes myself I knew I needed to call a professional to come take a look. We've previously used the folks at White and been very happy with their service, so naturally they were our first call.

Given the weather and the time of year they were booked solid with other appointments and were unable to come take a look at our furnace until a few days later at the earliest. So I called several other local companies and finally found one that was available to come take a look that day. The tech from that company showed up and told us that it was likely we needed a new furnace.

We were obviously very disappointed but didn't feel like we had much choice. They quoted us over $7,500 to replace the furnace. With our family freezing and other companies booked solid, we didn't feel like we had much choice but to move forward, but something still didn't quite feel right. I called White again (at 4:30 on a Friday afternoon) and told them about our experience and my general uneasiness and Justin moved heaven and earth to get someone over that afternoon to take a look and confirm what was happening with our furnace.

Sure enough, Austin came to take a look and confirmed that it looked like our heat exchanger had indeed developed a crack. Justin called me back that evening to go over options for measurements and installation of a new furnace, and came out himself the next business day to get everything squared away - the total cost to have the furnace replaced by White was less than half of what the prior company had quoted us.

The installation team arrived first thing the next morning and had us up and running again by lunchtime. The entire team was professional, knowledgeable, and courteous throughout the process, and I can't say enough about how they went out of their way to make sure we weren't taken advantage of by a larger company. The folks at White know how to treat and keep their customers. I would enthusiastically recommend them to anyone. Thanks again guys!

I called White Heating at 8 am because my AC stopped working the day before. Blowing fine but no cool air. I set up an appointment within an hour. The technician arrived about 45 mins later. He diagnosed the problem, replaced a bad contact, added some R-22 and did a pressure test. AC is now cooling as it should. Maybe we'll get another few years out of this 17-year-old unit. Very satisfied with cost and work. performed.

I used White Heating before to install my humidifier. They did a good job and the Aprilaire equipment was first-rate. That was two years ago. Last week, my whole-house AC broke down. My furnace and AC were 28 years old so it was time to bite the bullet and get a whole new system. From the quick response to my service call, to the reasonable estimate given by Terry, to the fast and professional installation by Mark and Dylan, I couldn't be happier. There's a reason this company has been around for 60+ years. You don't keep a customer base and build a successful business by ripping off customers or doing shoddy work. I contacted White Heating and another local company to give me a quote for a new AC Unit. The owner Gary came out from White Heating and was very nice and professional. His quote was much lower than the other company for almost the exact same unit. It was going to be a couple weeks until the new unit came in so they even sent out a technician the day I ordered the unit to see if there was anything they could do to get my old unit up and running until the new one could be installed. I was so impressed with how nice everyone was there and how they went out of there way to help me!

Repair technician was fast, courteous and very honest. Did not try to sell me something I didn't need to get my air conditioning working again. Showed me exactly what was going on and gave me realistic options. Highly recommend!

Called over a weekend with a non-emergent Problem. A central AC unit Wasn't keeping up with the heat. Monday morning early got a call from Don. They can come out that afternoon. Perfect. They called at 1:30, Terry came at 2:00. 13 year old unit down two pounds of R-22. Held my breath. No leaks, no upsell to new unit, R-22 in, checked second unit, it was good. Priced scarce R-22 fairly, fair labor, under $400. No BS, no hassle. Guess who's coming to quote me on the inevitable replacement units that I can now PLAN to do rather than be strong armed. White. Kudos to them.

Customer service is not dead. Called and a receptionist was quick to get me through to the Service Manager. They scheduled me quick. He was very transparent about time & pricing. My technician Miles was very nice, respectful of my house and did a great job. I'll be following up in the spring to service my air conditioning. Thanks White Heating!

Honest, knowledgeable, and affordable service. Helped me in an emergency when my furnace stopped working overnight and the outside temperature was 0F and my inside temperature fell into the 40s. Sent a technician first thing on Saturday morning. Even though it was the weekend and I was in a jam, I was not overcharged, nor was I lied to about needing unnecessary repairs. I would definitely recommend this company as I myself fully intend to use their services again.

Excellent service as always from John (service manager) and Bob (field technician). They installed our original system in 1998 and they have kept it running efficiently since then. Recently I referred them to a friend's house for a repair of which another firm recommended a new system.$5,500. $350 later, White Heating had them up and running.

I woke up one morning a few weeks ago to a cold house. Furnace had died. White Heating had a sales person at my house that afternoon, who answered every question we had. Less than 72 hours later, we had a brand new furnace, humidifier and AC.

Had them install a whole home humidifier system. They provided the best price for installation and equipment. They had a guy come out and review everything prior to providing an estimate. On the day of installation, the guy explained everything he would be doing and exactly how long it would take.

Had an whole house air conditioner that wasn't working They called me back within 15 minutes of my call to schedule a service visit the same morning They fixed it quickly and we were back in business Cost of $100 was reasonable and consistent with other companies But responsiveness and courtesy above average Would definitely recommend them for heating or AC service

My experience was very positive. I recently had furnace and a/c installed. The crew that did the installation was very profession. The workmanship was done properly as per the estimate. I had 4 estimates for the work and they were about in the middle as far as cost.

Never will I use their service again. They did decent enough work (a plumber could do their job just as easily) and said if they were called out within 30 days for the same problem, the service would be covered.

I've tried several hvac repair companies since moving to Pittsburgh, and all of them so far have either been: 1) below par (tech can't figure something out, that I was eventually able to get myself) or 2) dishonest (claiming heat exchanger cracks when there are obviously none and recommending whole new furnace).
