Altstadt Plumbing

For us it was a leaky pipe that prompted the need for a plumber. Altstadt had taken care of a plumbing need for us in the past, and we remembered how highly impressed we were with the work, so we called again. From the phone operator, to the prompt service, to the outstanding worker, Alstadt impressed again! I wish I'd written down the serviceman's name because he deserves a shout out - he went the extra mile. Bravo!

I can't recommend Altstadt's enough! They are courteous, professional, friendly, knowledgeable, on-time and go the extra mile. My tankless water heater stopped working. Turns out there was a bird's nest (with eggs) in the exhaust pipe. They took extra care and even fashioned an alternate house for the nest out of extra PVC and hung it right below (AND then even made a little gate so she couldn't get back into the exhaust.) Fixed the water heater and saved a few little lives - not a bad days work. Nice job, guys!

The men who did the installation of my water heater did a good job! However the price quoted was not what I got charged. I was charged an additional $200 trip fee which was not discussed when I ask for their services. When I questioned the charges the lady immediately said so since your refusing to pay we are going to send you to collections. I Never mentioned anything about not paying! Think twice before using this company.

My husband is a retired contractor with health problems. We had a small water leak. Showed them where the leak was yet we had to pay 250.00 for them to tell us where the leak was. (?) They wanted 1000.00. That check was written 3/24. The leak called for a 3/4 in copper compression splice. This part cost anywhere from 12.00 to 25.00. They ordered 3-ton rock.

That would be 60.00 here in Ky. They used close to 1 ton. They did not remove the dirt from our place. We called 6 times and ask for an Itemized statement each time the phone was slammed down. The last time ask to speak to management another slam down of the phone. We received another bill for $1117.71 a total of $ 2117.71. Any reputable Company it seems to us would be happy to give an Itemized statement. My husband asks me to not mail the Bal, yet. We will be sending a letter to the BBB. The service wasn't bad but having to wait so long to get a bill was ridiculous. I wanted to pay it right away & was told I'd get a bill in 7-10 business days. When I mentioned wanting to pay it right away they just said well that's what it takes 7-10 days. You'd think they'd want to be paid sooner rather that's later. I won't be using them again.

Critical:Professionalism, Quality, Value Do not use Altstadt. They overcharge, and their plumbers will stand around and try to make small talk while charging you for the conversation. They're a joke, and their office is the only thing worse than the staff they use in the field. ALL OTHER LOCAL PLUMBERS OFFER BETTER SERVICE AND RATES THAN THIS JOKE OF A BUSINESS. We had an issue with an outside water faucet needing repaired. Quinn came to do the repair work and did an excellent job! They ultimately had to cut into drywall inside the house, but they covered it with an access panel that looks nice. We really appreciated the quick response, professionalism and good work of Quinn. Twas the night before Christmas when all thru my house there was moaning and groaning, my daughters and my spouse. No hot water Mr Man! What will you do?!. Call Alstadt Hoffman Plumbing and away worries flew! That is about the truth. Wife home after a surgery, Christmas around the corner and our water heater gave up after 15 years loyal service. Thanks for taking care of us Alstadt Hoffman! You saved our holiday.

If you use Altstadt Pluming be sure and get a service quote in writing or they will double the cost. They are the most expensive in the area and we where willing to pay the high end of the price quoted but not double.

A couple of years ago I had you guys out to replace all of the outgoing pipes under my house. Roots had grown into the old, clay pipe that fed the sewer and everything was back-filling into my crawl space.

They showed up super quick and in less then a few minutes fixed the problem. They were really friendly and professional. I would definitely recommend them to friends and family.

We have used Alstadt for several minor projects over the last few years, always with great results. Today PJ came to the house for a few new minor repairs. He was very professional. courteous, and did a great job. I highly recommend Alstadt for all these reasons. We used Altstadt for a major bathroom remodeling project. They were outstanding to work with from start to finish. What other company would give you the owner's personal cell number to call? And every time I called he answered, or called back promptly. Andy E. did the remodeling work and the workmanship was outstanding.

They disconnected a gas line to install a new hot water heater in my garage. When they were finished, the installers forgot to reconnect the line. This eventually led to my home being evacuated at 1 am so vectren could locate the gas leak.

So reasonably-priced, professional, diligent, and all 4 plumbers who came during the 2 trips it took to fix our issues were personable and friendly. These guys did a great job for us fixing a problem that we dealt with for more than 2 years, that 2 other plumbing companies failed to fix.

Just needed a line inspection on a water heater and wanted $103 for an hour something that will take about ten minutes.makes me sick

Yesterday Alstadt plumbing did some work for us thru Lowes. The young man that was here doing all the work we had done, which was alot. My husband and I were really impressed for the following reasons: He did a great job, took pride in his work.
