Gary Air reneged on an agreement to repair my A/C system. Citing manpower, parts, lack of expertise and that they just didn't want to do the job. As a 10-year loyal customer, I was left incredulous.

I had a new air conditioning unit installed in March. It failed inspection 3 times and has caused a flood in my home twice. I've left more than a dozen phone messages for Gary to call me to see how we can amicably resolve this matter (I spent over $5300 on a new unit that is neither reliable nor efficient). However, he has refused to return my call. Choosing this company was a huge mistake. (when the tech came after the first flood he commented that he once caused a flood in a home with wood floors and the people were much more "understanding" than I was, and I had tile floors).

Bob and the crew at Gary Air were great. Price was quoted and never changed. The crew was on time, polite, neat, and worked non-stop putting in my new air unit. Bob stayed in contact with me for over 4mos checking in to see how are old unit was holding up. Most of the time in Florida you can't get places to even return your call so that was a breath of fresh air. give them a call you won't be disappointed.

We've used Gary Air for the last year for quarterly maintenance, as they were recommended by our friends. Andrew, our service tech is always there we he says he will be and is very professional and extremely knowledgeable. He never tries to up sell you! Our main AC unit went out on a Sunday afternoon, they were able to come within a few hours. Unfortunately, the unit was 15 years old and we needed a new one.

Within 24 hours I had a new AC unit installed! Both service techs were professional and nice as can be! After dealing with dozens of different service companies in Florida I can't recommened this company enough!

We had used another HVAC company for a long time but thought we should give Gary Air a chance since they had installed the HVAC unit in a rental house we own. Big mistake. They came out to our house, did some unnecessary work (we later learned) which led to a $300 repair. The previous HVAC company had said we didn't need the work that Gary's guy said we did because the unit was running fine and if we messed with it, we could cause trouble.

We should have listened to the original company - Gary Air tinkered and 2 weeks later, the unit was out and needed the exact repair that the honest guy said we would be at risk of needing. Then we had them service our rental house HVAC. I got a laundry list of items that were needed which totaled well over $1000. Already suspicious from the previous experience, I called our original HVAC to go take a look.

Their report: NOTHING needed to be done! The unit is running fine and should be left alone. They also push hard for the service contracts, which the technician (aka SALESMAN) actually gets a cut of - so be warned about that. They claim that the tech doesn't get a cut of the labor on all the "repairs" that they do but there has to be some sort of incentive for the techs to be pushing so hard and so dishonest.

We also got quotes from each company for the cost of replacing the entire unit. you guess it, Gary air was several thousands of dollars more. Do yourself and your wallet a favor and skip calling them.

Yesterday was the first I needed my AC on for several weeks. What a break for the electric bill. It was a humid day yesterday so I thought I'd turn AC on for a while. An hour or so later I realized it was getting even warmer in the house. On NO, NO AC. Went to the HVAC closet and found the safety flow switch with a red light on. Glad I bought a house with one of those on it.

No AC, but no flooding either. I was pretty sure my condensation line was the culprit. I added vinegar to loosen debris but had a question about resetting the safety float switch to see if the line would drain. I have had a contract with Gary Air for some time now so I was pretty sure they would walk me through the steps of resetting. When I called the lady who is always your first point of contact asked if I was a customer and pulled up my account.

The first thing she said was we were just there recently to do preventative maintenance in January. When I told her my question she said she would be glad to have a tech stop by to look at it. I asked if there was a service charge for the visit. Oh no she said, we were just there so I don't think that would be necessary as long as it was a simple fix, which it sounds like.

Three hours later i had a call from Tyler saying he was around the corner and ready to help. Sure enough it was a clogged condensation line. I asked to explain what and how he was clearing it so in the future I can do myself. He explained step by step and the important of each step. With a big friendly smile, he said, don't hesitate if you need us.

I spoke to a bunch of HVAC companies when I was deciding on a service contract. They are all in the ball park of one another. I used Gary Air for my home inspection since they installed the unit just a few years earlier. They gave me a free service visit. That visit left a good impression on me so I took a long term contract with them. Every preventative maintenance visit, they are prompt, clean and courteous.

But today they showed me the true mission of their business. The customer and their care is a high priority to them. With all the bad stories I hear about Air conditions service calls, I had to share a nice one. Thank you Gary Air for your quality work ethics! Pat Tyler on the back for a job well done.

I always get great service from Gary Air. They came to my home today on short notice and got my a/c running again. They are quick to respond and very reasonably priced. I have used them before and they are very fair people. I even sent them to my mother-in-laws home for a repair and she was happy--not an easy feat! So glad I found a company that I trust.

We called at 8:30pm, Ryan was here by 9, A/C back on at 10. They were straightforward and upfront with pricing. Ryan did an excellent job and had a good idea what was wrong based on my description (I'm fairly handy so I had a good idea of what info he needed).

Always amazing! We have used Gary Air's services for numerous years at four different properties from replacing complete units, to replacing duct work, for service calls, and have signed continuing contracts for maintenance agreements for as long as we have conducted business with them.

We are on vacation at my in laws condo and figured out on Friday night the air isn't working, and it will not go below 87 degrees. Little uncomfortable considering the outside heat was better than being inside. We called and Ryan (the on call guy) called us back immediately. Because this was after business hours we that we were going to be charged an arm and a leg. Nope, super reasonable.

He was at another job but insured us he would be here at 10:30.10:29 our phone rang he was at the gate. Very nice and professional guy. Had our problem fixed in about 15 minutes. We are now enjoying watching a movie in very comfortable air conditioning. Thanks Ryan!

100% positive experience. Our AC burnt up. And actually turned emergency heat on while we were out of town. Had a quick fix by another company and had them come back to provide an estimate for new AC. We also called Gary Air based on a friend's referral to get a second bid. Both companies came in close but Bob Thurber, the sales manager at Gary Air, went the extra mile for us and made several options for us to pick from.

Final bid came in lower with Gary Air and we got an ultra violet light as a free add on. The installation techs were very polite and picked up after themselves. Bob even stopped by on installation day to make sure everything was going as planned, which we felt was above and beyond. We also had a major issue with existing unit that both AC companies pointed out.

The last installer never installed the third return because it was too hard to access our attic because we have vaulted ceilings throughout. The techs spent more than two hours crawling in the attic on a very hot day, climbing in through closet access and finally were able to cut a hole in a hard to notice spot on a plant shelf in our hallway. The difference the additional return has made in the comfort of our house is amazing.

This was a good choice for us. The building inspector, who came out after installation to clear the work, even commented that Gary Air does good work after we told him what a great experience we had with this company.

Fantastic! Our air conditioner "went out" last week. We called Gary Air and they had a service man come out, find the problem, fix the problem and get our AC up in running in a mere few hours. They didn't try to over sell us, they didn't have any doomsday "Oh.you're going to have to replace it." they just fixed it and fixed it fast! When the time comes that we do have to replace our unit, they will be our first call!

I originally obtained this companies service from the good reviews they had at the time. That was over a year ago. They were servicing my air conditioning units on 2 of my properties. Two months ago I had one of my AC units have a very bad leak and there was a ton of water in the garage.

I'm a first time homeowner and I am so pleased with the work these guys did and the way they helped walk me through the process of getting a new AC unit. They were knowledgeable, friendly, fair and went above and beyond the call of duty.

Called Gary Air after dealing with another company about a leak problem with our air handler, the other company did nothing to fix the problem and even diagnosed the wrong problem. Gary Air fixed our problem and took care of the situation at a minimal price.
