Five Star Improvements

Five Star Improvements were friendly and easy to work with--I got estimates for different projects I wanted done. The first project they did was replacing my roof. They sent a team of 6 professionals who completed it in just one day. It was amazing and the roof looks great. Five Stars!

We hired Five Star improvements to repair some siding that had been torn off in a storm in a couple of areas of our house. Everyone from Five Star I worked with was knowledgeable, professional and courteous. After some initial scheduling confusion, they went out of their way to make sure we were happy. They did a great job on the repair and got it done fast. I would recommend Five Star Improvements and will consider them for anything we need in the future.

They were reasonably priced compared to the other quotes we got. We had an active leak in our roof and they got to the job within a couple of days of the contract being finalized. It took a couple of days to finish the job (we have a big roof). They did a good job cleaning up the yard after the work was complete. Only "problem" was they forgot to do the 2 attic vents from the bathrooms we requested.

To their credit, as soon as I let them know about this they were out the next morning and had that work done the same day. I would use them again without hesitation (in 50 years when this roof wears out!) and would recommend them without hesitation.

Completed a roof repair on the addition portion of our house in December of 2016. Removed old shingles and replaced with high quality 35 year Owens Corning shingles. This was done within two weeks of my contacting them. A leak occurred in January 2021 and again in the last five weeks. They were unable to locate the leak until Friday when they cut a hole in the ceiling to find the leak.

They found it ( old satellite bracket bolt holes) and mold too. They said they would be back to complete repairs on Saturday. After I wrote a negative review, Ross texted me and offered a same day roof repair on Tuesday. I accepted and the worker that did it (Paul) did a great job removing portion of roof affected and repairing it. He also installed a vent for the bathroom fan that previously just sat under the roof. Today, on Thursday the mold exposed above the ceiling was sprayed with mold killer. Still awaiting an estimate for ceiling repair/painting.

We had shingles blow off in the windstorm. Ross immediately sent someone out to put a tarp on our roof. Their experienced and efficient team gave us a reasonable estimate for their services. We give them a five-star rating

My wife and I decided to replace our windows with energy-efficient options. We chose Five Star and are very happy. It took a little longer than expected to get them installed but we do understand there were some delays due to covid.

I am Ravi Sapkota from 217 Viscount Dr. I got the window and gutter replaced. I liked the jobs of these guys. Conor is professional in his job. He is detail on estimation. The folks at Five Star replaced the windows in our house, and I could not possibly be happier. I truly dreaded the process, but from sales to installation the process was very smooth. The installers performed fabulous work that made the windows on our 1800s farm house look like they had always been there. They also made some excellent suggestions that added very little to the cost, but really enhanced the finished product. What I expected to be a nightmare, was actually a fun experience. I really do not hesitate to recommend Five Star.

Called & spoke to Ross, he ordered an exhaust vent cap. The next day Anthony came out & installed. Very satisfied with the service & turn around time. We previously used Five Star for a roof installed years ago & was very satisfied. Would recommend their services.

We hired Five Star to fix extensive damage to our home's cedar siding that was caused by woodpeckers. The siding looks great, and Ross was always available to give updates and to answer questions. We would highly recommend to anyone!

We recently had a leak in the roof of our new home. Unfortunately we did not call Five Star and we really regret that. This company did a great job replacing our roof at the home we lived in before. They were then and again this time the best! Long story on what we went through for months but Jason and his company came through for us yet again. They truly our the best in our opinion.

Very happy with our experience with Five Star Improvements! We wanted to close off a short hallway to make a much needed powder room on the first floor. Their quote was competitive and they they were very good about communication (which is rare). We had a short window to get it done and they kept to that. Would use them again. Service:Remodeling

We had a sliding door installed from off of the kitchen to the back yard and a 10 ft x 18 ft deck installed. It was done professionally and the quality is great. Now we spend more time outside (getting a lot more vitamin D, lol). Thank you Five Star Improvement. Service:Attic venting

5 Star construction has the worst construction experience. The initial roof job was expensive but we were promised high quality work. The crew consisted of non English speaking hardworking men who were not supervised or familiar with many aspects of the job. Workers were encouraged by this company to complete the job in high winds and into dark evening hours.

The end result was flashing not up to code, water damage, shingles broken, nails, holes and miss use of products. Our high end weatherproofing was replaced by cardboard. Jason Pignagrande the owner was contacted he promised a second crew of highly skilled workers. 1 individual worked throughout the summer. After a licensed contractor inspected the second job, major code violations noted. Water and mold damage reported. We ended up hiring a second company to repair the damage 5 Star caused to our home. Horrible experience.

I had the unfortunate opportunity to hire Jason Pignagrande through 5 Star to complete a $33,000 roofing job including new skylights replacement. The initial job resulted in leaks, improper flashing, work not up to codes, structure damage, and total lack of crew supervision. Jason was contacted again and he agreed to send a second crew for total roof replacement.

Basically only one man showed up during the summer of 2018.Cardboard, holes, nails, improper flashing, leaks into attic were located upon inspection. Absence of weatherprooging under shingles, materials broken, large gaps again were noted. Jason was contact for the third time as mold snd structure damage was noted. A licensed contractor was contacted and major code violations reported. Extremely dissatisfied. Jason refused to compensate for damages. this review is only for emergency tarping of a roof. we had leaking due to the windstorm and Ross and Five Star were the only company out of many we called who came right out the same day to tarp and protect our house. good thing they did because that same night there was another rain storm and we were safe under the tarp. we are in process of getting the roof estimated for repairs and if we use Five Star, i will write a separate review. for response to an emergent need, excellent customer service and patience with a nervous customer, Five Star has been top notch!

We met 5 Star at a recent home show and had a home visit for a new roof estimate. Our representative was Tim. He answered all questions and presented us with a very complete packet about the roof and all stages of installation. The weather cooperated for March and the old roof was removed and a new one installed all in the same day. Clean up was very thorough. We are very satisfied.

Exceptional, top notch, patient with consumer, informational, not pushy, informative, always available, clean. Those are just a few of the ways I would describe Jason, Eric, and the whole Five Star Home Improvements team! The morning after the wind storm in March of 2017 five star was out and put a tarp on my roof, never did they ask if I wanted an estimate for a new roof only when I requested one did they provide to me that says a lot about how a company runs (not pushy).

This new roof had to go through insurance, and Jason walked me through what to expect with my adjuster as this was the first claim I have ever made. One day and the roof was removed and put on!!! Leading up to this work the process came with many if not too many questions on my end and never did Jason and or Eric fail to answer them. They always responded to me via phone call, text message, or email promptly, 7 p.m. on a Wednesday night and Eric was still answering my questions and when I apologize for bothering him that late at night his response was "nonsense, you are the customer. It's not, nor will it ever be a inconvenience"

I chose to use Five Star Improvements after learning from a friend how great they were for some very tricky remodeling at my business. I was very nervous to try a new company but trusted my friend who would not stop raving about them.

I'm thinking that these other reviews might have been fabricated. Used Five Star to remove ice damming from my house. While icicles were removed, they did not remove the actual dams of ice sitting in the gutter.

I highly recommend Five Star Home Improvements. I hired Jason to do an entire new roof. Jason thoroughly described the options to choose from. My wife and I selected a 50 year shingle for the roof.

We contacted Jason initially due to a large tree limb falling on our house causing damage to a portion of the roof and some siding damage. Before we were through, we repaired the siding, put on a complete roof, as well as installing new windows.
