Gutters
Report
Blending in with your roof line and the trim work of your home, gutters are an often overlooked part of your home's exterior. If they are properly installed and maintained that is just how they should be. Gutters channel rainwater from your roof away from your foundation and landscaping. Gutters play an important role in preventing damage to your home.
Roof Repair
Report
Your roof ties the structure of your home together, providing you and your family with shelter. It protects you from the elements, such as the strong wind, sun and rain that are common in Texas. As your roof ages it will need repairs and eventually it will need replacement. Trust Quality Roofing for high-quality roof maintenance and repair to extend the life of your roof.
Replacement
Report
Your roof protects you from the wind and rain. You trust your roof to always keep you covered. But as time goes on and your roof ages, the materials covering your roof deteriorate. While you can extend the life of your roof with regular maintenance, there comes the day when repairs are no longer an option.

The owner Taylor and his team were very professional and took the time to fully explain the process of replacing our roof and gutters that had been damaged from hail and wind storms. The project manager provided us with options, which allowed us to feel apart of the process. The team worked very hard and got the job done quickly. After completion, they were very thorough with their cleaning/finding nails around the house. Highly recommend Quality Roofing!

Background story: Quality roofing installed a metal roof with a ridge vent in 2015 (under a previous owner). Fast forward to this year, when I discover that under the metal roof, the wood boards are supposed to have cut outs along the roof peak so that the air can actually vent up and out the attic. I inspected the attic and noticed that they only cut out a very small portion.
I call the company to inspect and they are now under a new owner so my warranty was basically useless. The new owner (who did not oversee the initial work to my house) was very understanding and while he was under no obligation to fix this mistake, he honored the warranty and immediately got someone to my house to fix it (gave me pics and everything) at no charge to me.
At the same time, I got a quote to fix a loose rafter (felt a little steep but we are in a time where everything is expensive and my attic crawl space is tight). I was in a time crunch because I was getting a new a/c installed but they worked within my time frame and fixed it before my a/c install. I was pretty annoyed with this ordeal but it seems that under the new ownership, they are focused on doing the job right.
The crew worked efficiently and was respectful of my property and my dogs. The workers do not speak English well but the owner is fluent in Spanish and was able to do the translating (over the phone) when needed. The owner is very responsive and was very good about addressing all my concerns.

I'm not one to leave reviews normally but Taylor and his team went above and beyond to make sure things were done right on our low-slope TPO roof install. I would highly recommend them for any roofing project and will be using them again myself in the near future. You don't need to look any further if you're looking for a reliable and trustworthy contractor you'll enjoy working with.

I highly recommend Quality Roofing. I'm a former home builder from Austin so I know a great deal about roofing and have dealt with many roofing companies over the years. I retire many years ago and the contractors I had employed in the past were also retired so I searched for a new roofer and luckily I found Quality Roofing. They re-roofed my mother's house and did a very professional job. Start to finish, top quality and a very professional operation. Five stars plus.

I am overall quite satisfied with the job Quality Roofing did on our roof. There were a few hiccups, mainly surrounding the subcontracted gutter installation, but for the most part they were responsive and professional. Our roof is beautiful, the price was fair, and installation was quick and they were very clean. The gutters.well. They didn't show up on the days/times they said they would, and I had to turn them away when they showed up late because I had just put the baby to sleep.
After they were installed, the water ran all down one side, and not equally out of two downspouts. When we get strong rain this means my new rain barrel doesn't fill up at all, and the water pools under the other downspout and runs over our walkway. The gutter people came out again and did the BEST they could to repair the problem. They adjusted the level on the gutter as much as they could without it looking really bad (To the naked eye you can already see a drastic level change).
They said it was due to how the roof was constructed. I really don't think there is anything either the gutter people or Quality Roofing could have done, but I really would have liked to have had a follow up and an apology that I wasn't 100% satisfied. After the gutter people told me there was nothing they could do, QR just sent the last payment invoice and never attempted to contact me about the state of my gutters. Oh well. I guess the rain barrel LOOKS nice even if it doesn't function.

We needed a roof replacement as well as a rebuild of our chimney exterior. We spoke with a few different companies and ultimately chose Quality Roofing Austin. Everyone we worked with was extremely professional, did what they said they were going to do, and kept us informed throughout the process. We are very pleased with the finished product and would highly recommend them.

High Quality work and service. Very easy coordination with our insurance. They went over and above what was initially noted to make sure we had the best quality and workmanship. Crews showed up on time, were respectful, and left the area clean. Good communication throughout the process. Our new roof completely changes the look of our home (in a great way) -- we could not be more pleased. Highly recommended.

Cannot recommend Taylor and his team enough. We had them install a solar attic fan on our existing standing seam copper roof. They were extremely thorough in the prelim evaluation, had excellent follow up communication, and even took the load off of us to coordinate directly with our fan provider on the tricky install details. The day of the install the team was exactly on time, and Taylor arrived with them to talk us thru the plan, make sure there were no issues, and reviewed the finish out before they left.
They also sent drone photos of everything for our records. In a time when you have to chase people down for weeks just to get a call-back -- Quality Roofing is an absolutely standout provider.

A couple years ago I called them to get a quote for our flat roof and Tyler came out and looked at the roof and we talked about it for a while and he said he said he would send me a quote. But he never did, and they didn't return my calls after that. Then about a month ago I needed more work done and I see they're still well rated so I called them for quote. Josh came out and looked at the roof and talked to me about the work they would do, and said he would send me a quote. But again he never did, and they didn't respond again after that when I've tried to contact them to get the quote. Weird.

When we're looking for roofing installation service, it's important to get customer service after the job. The team at Quality Roof exceeded all my expectations for a client with their focus on detail-oriented workmanship coupled with stellar customer care skills through post-installation follow-up as well as during construction when they noticed a few small issues that needed fixing. The result? A beautiful new 3D shingle roof - and an even better experience!

Working with Quality Roofing has set our standard for service very high. We can not recommend them enough! From the beginning, Darrell communicated with us often and with kindness and professionalism. He's been with us during the entire journey, including coming out to during the claims assessment to make sure our insurance company didn't miss an inch of damage.
Other than feeling really comfortable working with Darrell and Quality Roofing, we've been able to trust them the whole way. Because they've explained the process and their recommendations, line by line, every step of the way, we know we picked the best company. I cannot recommend Quality Roofing and Darrell enough! Truly, words are not enough. Getting our roof replaced has been the easiest process. You won't find more trustworthy and compassionate people anywhere else.

I worked with Josh and Taylor at Quality Roofing, what a first class operation. I have a very steep and high roof covered with solar panels. I have a small leak from a sky light that is in between those panels. I must've contacted a dozen roofing companies and warned that there's no need for them to come by unless they're bringing a 40' ladder or harnesses.
They all came, immediately agreed they couldn't get up there and majority of them never returned. Josh came over with a Mavic drone and spent a good 30 minutes flying it around taking dozens of photos. He prepared them into a report which was easy to read. The quoted cost for the repair was extremely low compared to others. Also, rather than quote full replacement of the flashing or skylight, they proposed the least expensive solution and to fully test it first.
They easily could've quoted the more expensive work, but they didn't, they pushed the most conservative approach and if needed after testing we could do the full replacement. Throughout the process, the communication was excellent and professional. This is definitely a top notch outfit, and they'll be one of my first calls for future roof work!

We were very impressed with their workmanship and attention to detail. Taylor was a superb project manager. We have an older, tricky house so their expertise was greatly needed. Very pleased. We even had a hiccup while the roof was uncovered and they were very on top of it and fair to make it right. Would definitely use them again.

Overall this wasn't horrible, but they do have office issues they need to address. On the pre-sales side of things, everything was A+. Our sales/estimate person Tyler was on point with quick responses to all my questions and provided a very detailed estimate up front. He addressed all my concerns and even made multiple trips out to the house prior to the install to discuss in great detail what I knew would be challenging. Problems arose with the office as another reviewer noted. Jackie is a very pleasant person on the phone, but she has a lot of issue staying on top of things and is not the best at customer service.
I had to reach out to their office constantly for updates on scheduling. With regards to scheduling, this is where we had a real head-butting situation. I had to reach out to get us on the schedule and we set a date, but then as time got closer I was told they may or may not start on the date we scheduled on. I was told from the start the job would take two weeks to complete so I marked off those two weeks on my calendar.
I had engagements outside of that I couldn't break so this was not what I wanted to hear. When I expressed my concern to Jackie over email and the phone things went from ok to sour. First I was told that in my contract it stated something about the dates be tentative, I scoured the contract and there was no such language in it. This didn't go over well with me and things escalated over the phone with Jackie and she became very unpleasant to deal with and would constantly interrupt me.
This is very poor customer service and the reason for my low professionalism rating. Jackie was doing nothing but be combatant so I asked to speak to a manager and since this was on a Friday at 4ish there was none available. I then requested she has the manager call me on Monday so we could figure things out. Monday and Tuesday came and went and no call so I reached out to my sales person Tyler for help. Tyler took my message and sent that to Taylor the manager and he called me on Wednesday to talk.
I was out of town at a work event (why I wanted to handle everything the week prior) so I could not answer. When Taylor and I did speak he was very professional and was able to resolve my worries. I explained to him the issue with Jackie and he understood and said they would talk about it. I don't know if that was just lip service but I hope so as bad reviews can crush your business.
All this could have been avoided by simply stating they bake in days for issues. As for the job it went overall very smooth and was one of the less stressful jobs I have hired out with our home. I am very pleased with the work the team did and the house looks amazing. Even with the issues we had, I would still say the quality they provided was worth the money. NOTE: I was not informed up front but if you expect to get a discount on your homeowner's insurance and if they require the TDI form 104-PC Quality roofing will not be able to provide this as they do not carry the required UL 2218 listing. This was not a huge deal for me but I do wish they would have stated this up front since I assume most homeowners would welcome a discount on their insurance.

I should have posted this review 8 months ago but time slipped by me. In September of 2015 we purchased a new (remodeled home). After a few rain storms we realized in November that we had leaks in our roof. After obtaining 4 estimates, that were all pretty similar in terms of the assessment and price, we decided on Quality Roofing to install our new metal roof. Wesley was our sales rep.
We found him extremely knowledgeable, passionate about the business, not pushy, non-sales-y, and available via phone and text with all of our questions. Due to the recent storms our original install date was about 8-10 weeks, however, an opening presented itself they were able to install the roof sooner. The installers were professional, clean up well, for the most part (we found nails around for a few weeks), but all in all, it was a good experience. Months later, we still love our new metal roof. Our energy bills are already so much lower and the work seems to be top notch. Thank you Quality Roofing! Stephen & Nathan

After a pretty negative review, the owner contacted me and reimbursed me for having to go elsewhere to have the job finished. That was responsible, and conscientious so I give them two stars back for that. Quality struggled to provide adequate service in a HIGHLY competitive roofing market, and disaster season and they do not seem to be out to rip anyone off.
This puts them in the minority of roofing businesses by default. Let me start by saying, if you are in the market for a new roof and there has recently been a wide spread hail storm, or disaster event. you might as well forget ANYONE giving you what you would consider GOOD customer service. If you can feasibly wait 12-18 months DO IT. Even the best roofing businesses will be triple booked, and taking on WAY TOO much business to support.
Quality means well and that goes a long way. Now for the reality. I will have to be VERY VERY careful about how I phrase this because I've already had one review that was removed for 'violating content'. In a perfect world, I would expect a bonded, insured crew of professional employees to come conduct the actual roofing job. But this is Texas. 7-10 day job quoted took 6-8 weeks to deliver Quoted a job start in Aug/Sept started job Thanksgiving week in Nov. if memory serves.
Crew showed up to tear old roof with a trailer filled with personal junk, which they unloaded in my yard and left for the duration of the job, including a truck tire on a junk rim, and several piles of garbage. Crew routinely left tool battery chargers plugged into electric, and out in the rain ensuring several GFCI trips, and electric outages which eventually blew my garage freezer and ruined my venison for the season.that hurt.
Project management was challenged due to the work load. Language barrier.read into that.gotta be careful with Yelp's PC standards. Roof eventually leaked because they did not finish the chimneys. Had to have someone else come and do that, but as mentioned the owner made it right and sent me 500$. In conclusion : If you ride them, and stay on top of them, they will deliver a good job.
But you must know what you want, and you must verify, verify, verify. I suggest you learn as much about the roofing process you need done, and follow them every step of the way. If you are willing to devote that level of time and frustration, then you will be happy. If you are blissfully ignorant regarding construction and what a good roofing job entails, you may not get what you paid for unless you independently verify delivery.
This isn't their fault. If you are unhappy with their job, and your expectations are reasonable, I think they will eventually deliver. They are honest, God fearing business people at the end of the day, but they are directly competing in a market that is exploding at the seams with criminal con men, and they have to be competitive with that and stay in business.so. corners can get cut.
If you are looking for a roofing company to tell you what you need exactly, show up when they say they will, deliver what YOU want, and clean up, all without you having to conflict manage their non-bi-lingual work crews.weeeeell. If on the other hand you are willing to knuckle down, and hold their feet to the fire, call them out on delivery, and pay top dollar for delivery while augmenting their lack of project management skills. game on.
You may end up with little unresolved issues here and there, but they won't steal your insurance payout and skip town.which unfortunately is saying a lot in the Austin Roofing market. Edit 2: giving another 2 stars back because they own their mistakes, and have a customer first owner. I'd use them again and trust they fixed their issues. Good business. Owner takes customer feedback to heart and is very serious about improvement.

So after posting an initial irate review after being unable to get my warranty acted upon, the owner of the business contacted me. He took full responsibility for their lapse in responsiveness and informed me that there would be changes made for how they follow-up their calls. Within a week of him calling me his staff got out to my property to inspect and fix the problems.
So far so good, though of course we haven't had any rain since the work was done. In any case, if the changes in the business hold up I can recommend this business again to folks.

We solicited bids for a new composition shingle roof from three separate Austin area roofing companies, and Quality Roofing submitted the most cost effective approach of all. We had a couple minor hiccups throughout the process, but our Sales representative, Tyler Taunton, saved the day for both me the customer, and for the company, Quality Roofing.

Due to the hail storm over a year ago, I had Quality Roofing replace the complicated metal roof and was very impressed with the guys who did the work, very competent, thoughtful and cleaned up the mess from taking off the old roof as they progressed. The supervisor, Taylor, kept me informed as to scheduling and all the details I needed to know as we went through this process. Very pleased with the results and can highly recommend these guys and would certainly use them again if I ever have to.

During the various wind and rain storms in the last couple of months, our house had experienced many water damages, one of which was coming down from the roof, through the attic, and through our ceiling, bending our trims and moldings in the laundry room. We didn't have a default roofer, so I came onto Yelp looking for possible solutions, and sent a few quote requests for repairing this problem.
Quality Roofing was the first to respond and show up. Wesley showed up on time, and was very courteous and helpful. After explaining to him our problem and telling him what we know, we showed him where the leak was coming in through the ceiling. He said he just needs to go up to the roof to take a look because he had a suspicion. When he came down, he told us that it was fixed.
Long story short, Wesley fixed our problem within minutes, and didn't even need to go into the attic in our case. He said he didn't need to. He charged us what was more than reasonable, and since then, rain storms did not cause anymore leaks there. He also gave us an idea of the condition of our roof. He said that there are places where the shingles are needing attention, but it's not something that we need to worry about right now, just keep an eye on it, especially after the next wind or hail storm. I'm keeping his business card on our fridge! He is very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. I would recommend him to take a look at your roof before you pick anyone else.

I agree with mostly everything Ray M said about Quality roofing, these guys do have potential but their work practices on my job were borderline negligent and their inter communication is appalling. We had a leak around the heating vent area, seemingly simple job, the estimator (wesley) told me the vent needed replaced. When the contractor came to replace the storm collar, instead of replacing the heating vent he dislodged the entire vent, moved it about 6 inches to the right I guess so he could make the collar fit.
The furnace exhaust was left exposed My wife is pregnant you can imagine the potential hazard and concern I have as it leaked toxic fumes in our home. I was told their quality control would inspect the work, they did not, the guy didn't even come inside to look. Then they tried to charge me for replacing the heating vent which they never did. cutting a long story short its been four months, I finally got them to fix the vent and agree a revised invoice, however they are unable to actually tell me the final amount and send a simple email, I have asked three times now. so months later I am trying to pay them but am unable to while I receive a legal letter demanding the original amount for the work they never performed. sigh. Joseph - if you read this I don't think I am being unreasonable with my comments, the contractor never even checked his work, no qc follow up.
You have some good guys there but there is something messed up in how your company operates and communicates. Respectfully and hoping you guys can sort these issues out. Steven

We've worked with Tyler twice now, and each time we have been thoroughly impressed. We never have to wait long to hear back from him, which was especially nice the first time we needed roofing help, because it was during the bizzaro thunderstorm month that randomly came around in July of 2012. Everyone and their brother needed roof repair, and we were still able to get a quick response from Tyler and his team.
He assessed the damage, took pictures to show us exactly what the issue was, and had someone out two days later. The repair was perfect, and the man who did the work even cut away some of the branches that had caused the problem in the first place. (They aren't a tree service, so I'm not saying they'll cut branches away as part of their work, it just so happened that the offending branches in our case were fairly small and easy to snap off manually.
We were just impressed by the above-and-beyond mentality.) Our first experience was so positive that we went back to them without hesitation when our rental property needed a whole new roof. Tyler was great, the work was flawless, and he managed to work within the parameters of our home insurance so that we were able to take full advantage of our coverage. Again, we were impressed by the fact that he had gone out of his way to make sure that we received the best possible service, completely without prompting. We will absolutely hire Quality Roofing again if we ever run across roofing problems. They were professional, quick to respond, and their work was impeccable.

I have a big, flat, concrete roof on my house. It's a pain. These guys have come out a couple times to fix the bad job another roofer did and to help with the install of two bathroom vent penetrations in the roof membrane. They aren't the cheapest, but when it comes to your roof, don't learn the hard way as I did, hire someone who knows exactly what they are doing.
They came out and corrected some drainage issues, fixed some blatant errors, and generally improved the total installation of my original TPO roof. The roof is performing/draining way better now and I no longer lose sleep over the prospect of a big rain. Totally recommend.

They may fix the roof correctly, but I just had a bad experience with communicating with them. I called them for minor roof repairs (sealing around a roof venting and changing screws). They were quick to respond for scheduling for inspection. The work was estimated about $450. I thought it was expensive but I just wanted to get the job done so I asked them to proceed the job and send me some photos of before and after works.
I wanted to see the actual work on photos, because I do not get on the roof and thought i deserve to see the work if I pay for $450. I have not heard from them for 8 days, so I contacted them. They sent me an e-mail asking to call them for scheduling the job. They said nobody needed to be at home, because they had an access to the roof from outside. Then, I have not heard from them for another 2-3 weeks.
I contacted them again and asked about the job, and they sent me a rude e-mail starting 'what are you talking about?'. The job was done, indeed, and the invoice was accidentally sent to my junk mail box. It was my fault that I did not check the junk mail box but they could, professionally, explain that the job was done and the invoice sent to my e-mail address.
If you are patient enough to pay $400 + for minor roof repairs and wait for a month to get everything done, and handle difficult communications, the company is for you. But I am not going back to their service and would not recommending them to friends and families. As I expected I have never received the photos of the work that I asked for.

Anyone who lives in the Austin area knows how difficult it is to hire a responsible contractor. Half the time, they won't even call you back, and when they do, you end up getting a quote for services that's twice what you should pay. We ran across Quality Roofing purely by accident - they were who our insurance company sent out to assess the state of our roof. Turns out the state was pretty sad.
So we got a quote for a new standing seam roof that turned out to be much less than we thought it would. Email sent to Joseph was answered incredibly promptly, even when it was late on a weekend evening, and he and his foreman Taylor were unfailingly professional and courteous. Despite some hiccups with getting the project started (there was an issue with the color approval from city hall, then with the supply of material from the manufacturer, then a glitch with the crew; the color approval issue was not on Quality's side), once they got started, the job was done within a week.
I admit that I had some misgivings when I saw the amount of trash and debris around the yard, but their final cleanup sweep eliminated everything, and we were left with nothing but a nice, new roof.
