Just wanted to share a quick note first time going there today at B & L and I've been trying to find one particular part all day Friday they didn't have it either but they found one in the back that came off another part and that's all I needed to get this temporarily fixed till I replace the whole unit so I think I'll be visiting there more and look forward to going there more. I have had nothing but the most positive experiences here. They are not your average commercial pool store. Everyone there is extremely knowledgeable about pools and ready to educate every customer and help them get the best results without breaking the bank. From Phil to Steve to Johnny to Tammy and more, I have had nothing but 5-star service. There are other pool stores closer to me but I do not hesitate to drive the extra miles to go to this store. Thanks to all of you!

Used B & L for many years for everything from best chlorine prices in town, "ducky" floaties, parts and even some motor & pool repair over the years. Love having the Best Pool Supply store so close, too. Knowledgeable staff listens well, then talks Too me, not At me and solves problems. Hope they are Always there! THX!

I believe this is the warehouse for all B&L pool stores. Great selection of pool chemicals, supplies and equipment! Went here on Thursday morning to buy an EZ patch to find out the price increased by $40 from 3 days ago. When asked what happened, I was advised that was the new price. I checked EZ patch website and found the same patch for $87.50. When I showed them this, the "BUYER" rudely told me I shouldn't be questioning how to operate their business and basically told me I don't have to buy from them. Really?
This is the type of service I get after driving 25 miles? The reason for not giving this location a 1 star is that I was provided with great service in the past by Chris(I believe was his name). B&L, you need to re-train your staff how to provide a good customer service experience or deal with a push back. I am a manager and this is not how my staff treats my customers especially if there was huge price discrepancy. Very disappointed!

This place is awesome. I brought in my pool motor that my pool service wanted to replace for $1500. I've been a pool owner long enough to know what a bad bearing sounds like. Johnny said he would give it a try but bearings on variable speed motors can be tricky. 90 minutes later he called to say it was ready. Less than 2 hours and less than $200. Everyone was friendly and helpful. This place deserves your business.

Very disappointed with this store! Supposed to be my go to pool supply because it's near my place but the lady there is an opportunist! I told her that this is the first time we'll have a pool and told her that the pool is well maintained, clean and clear. I asked her what basic things that I need to maintain the pool and she sold me a lot of muriatic acid and chemicals for algae, it turned out I wouldn't be needing it so after a month I called them if I can just exchange it with chlorine blocks and they said no. Their pool rope and the floater that comes with it are more expensive compared to other stores. I wouldn't recommend this store, they're gonna rip you off!

Hired them to take care of our pool while my husband was recovering from torn rotator cuff surgery. Plus we were leaving town for a 2 week vacation and needed it cleaned while gone anyways. We went with monthly service that was to include weekly cleanings with chemicals, baskets cleaning, etc. normal service you would expect. They initially came out 2 days prior to us leaving and suggested our chemicals were out of balance, even though my husband had just checked the levels and all seemed good.
Prior to returning from vacation, we received a $169 charge for cleaning and were told the pool needed more chemicals then what they offer on our plan. We returned home to find that the baskets were never emptied and we had molded growing inside our baskets. Pool was clearly never scrub as the walls were growing algae or possibly it was the mold from the baskets. Super disappointed with their cleaning services.

I originally started coming to B & L, when my son's friend recommended this place to us. Overall I have been very pleased with their business. I have only had one hiccup on a service I needed but, it was quickly taken care of, and that individual is no longer working for them. Besides that happened years ago. The problem with pool supply stores, is that they are at the mercy of companies that supply their products.
Pool supply products have gone up in price over the years, and that's no joke. B & L has always been helpful to me in whatever I needed, repairs, equipment, pool supplies, you name it. The thing is most people in general work during the week. Come Saturday or Sunday this place can get very busy. I have the luxury of being able to take care of my concerns during the week.
Most of the customers that come here, live nearby. Hopefully if you happen to come here, you experience the same experience as me. Plus, if you become a regular customer like me, every so often you will get a discount.

I have been calling B&L pools for 3 weeks to get an estimate on having new tiles installed in one pool and an acid wash in another pool. I was told someone will call me back to schedule someone to come out to take a look. After 3 weeks, I called several times and I was told the estimator is very busy and will call. The last call I made, I was told he would call me in the next few days and if he doesn't I was instructed to call back.
I explained to the woman that I was not going to beg for their business. I explained I shop the store all the time and I was excited to learn they actually do pool repair. I explained my concern if they can't simply return my call to set up an estimate after 3 weeks, is this a red flag for actually doing business with them? She didn't really seem to care. It's now been 4 weeks and no return call from my 4 calls to them. Anyone know a good pool remodel company? I won't do business with B&L pools.

I used to buy all my supplies from B&L so was pretty confident in their service when I called to have someone come to the house to service our sand filter. It took about 10 days for someone (Jonathon) to call me after I left my request at the store. Jonathon was very nice and came to the house as scheduled. I was never home and didn't meet him in person but he stayed in touch with me during the estimate process.
He quoted me for a few parts and labor, and I confirmed with him the total was "around $220 - and that is for everything?" He said yes and I agreed to the repairs. Jonathon then left me a message that while fixing the original problem he found a "small issue with your backwash piston" which is obsolete but "I was able to get it working" and he said nothing about replacing it or the additional cost.
When I found my bill a few days later, he had charged an additional $100 without approval. I called the billing office several times and after a couple weeks of not hearing back I called again. I then played phone tag with Rick (Rich?) who was extremely hostile from the moment we made contact. He said I had to pay the bill and basically accused me of avoiding his calls - although I'm the one who initiated the calls.
He said they did nothing wrong and "it's working, isn't it?" and "we can just give you your old piece back and remove the new one." I told him that wasn't the right answer, and I was calling because the bill didn't itemize the prices. Jonathon had originally told me about 4 needed parts, and 4 parts were listed. I was trying to understand why the prices were different and not listed. Rick said they never itemize the bills.
He was so extremely rude throughout the entire conversation. When I finally tired of being belittled, and told him I would pay the bill but never shop with him again he said "Leslie's is more expensive." I told him that wasn't really the issue now, and to understand that he had lost a customer for life over maybe offering a small (10-15%) discount on the bill to make amends.
Since then, I've shopped at Leslie's, on Amazon and will go to a new independent store near the house. Our pool is 45,000 gallons and uses a lot of chemicals, it needs to be resurfaced, the filter is older and Rick has lost some serious business for his company - all because he would not be reasonable and discount a bill by $30.

We met a nice couple in Costco who recommended this location to us. We have lived in our new home for 6 weeks, and the pool is a very new experience for us. Jonny is very knowledgeable as well as the other guys. Thank you B & L Pools for sharing your knowledge with us and giving us confidence in our ability to maintain our beautiful pool.

We had been using a 5 star Yelp pool cleaning company for the past 4 months and off and on all summer we had issues with our pool. Green and mustard Algae, cloudy water, you name it we had it. Their solution was to throw chlorine in and wait a week ( if the tech showed, which he didn't 3 times in a 2 month period or better yet he would come every 10 days which is like missing a week once a month.
And we paid weeks in advance, long before our bill was due) But that's another review. Fast forward to this week. After firing above said pool service we needed to get our pool in order for the last summer hoorah! We took a water sample and they hooked us up! Granted it wasn't cheap but less than 24 hours later our pool looks better than it did when we hired a service to take care of it.
Probably the best in the last 2 months! The service we received was great! They listened and didn't make us feel stupid. We love B&L! It will now be the place we go for all of our pool needs.

You wrote a review for B & L Pool Supply 2 days ago 1.0 star rating 6/22/2017 On June 9 I had them test my pool water and I was told the "Phosphates" were "high" so they sold me a $24.99 bottle of chemicals (Pool Tonic) to solve the problem. The bottle says it will treat a 20,000 gallon pool. My pool is only 12,000 gallons so I was confident it would do the job.
I followed the instructions on the bottle and went in a week later for another water test. The test said my phosphates were still way high. I was told by a different sales person that it is "not uncommon" to need a couple treatments. They talked me into another bottle of the same phosphate remover for another $24.99. I again used the whole bottle and followed the instructions. Went in for a water test today and guess what.
The phosphates are still way high. I told them the above scenario and said I wanted a refund for the chemicals they sold me that obviously don't work. No go on that one. After a call to the "manager" I was told I could either ignore the phosphate problem as it might be a "false reading" and just make sure I "keep the chlorine level high" to avoid algae, OR I could buy a bottle of a different phosphate remover that was even MORE expensive ($32). At his point I left the store.

I have had this pool services for over a year now. The service when we first started was wonderful but over the last few months the service has been terrible. They are suppose to show up on Mondays as I have to unlock the gate. No one comes now unless I call this is not the way service should be. I have spoken to Marissa on several occasions with no resolutions yet she is the one that is suppose to help me. I pay for a monthly service that I may get service twice a month. I would not use this pool cleaning service you will get the run around.

I have visited this place several times and have always gotten excellent customer service. I'm a new pool owner and, well, I'm rather clueless. Each time I stopped in, I've been treated with respect even though I am sure I'm asking a slew of stupid questions. Roy, the manager, is very patient. He answered all my questions patiently repeating himself if need be. He even carried my purchases to the car for me. They've one me over. Give them a try. You won't be disappointed.

I have had such a hard time getting info out of pool guys regarding an install of an above ground pool, until I met Roy! Roy has really taken his time to explain how to install my liner and set up my pool. This has been extremely helpful being a noob with above ground pools. Thank you Roy for your patience, time and expertise! My new pool store for everything! Nate

I found this store after seeing their ad in the Sunday paper. I needed pool cleaning supplies after moving into a home with a pool, and the previous occupants left nothing except for the floating chlorine dispenser. They have a rewards program, are locally owned and have several locations. I got a great deal on my new hose and a pool lounger. Watch for their ads in the Sunday paper as they usually have coupons.

So the pool store we had been going to closed. Bummer. Fortunately we remembered this place was right up the street from our house! Its super old school in there. Nothing fancy, but they have all the chemicals you could need and they also work on your pool pumps and vacuums right there so that's handy! Our pool developed the black algae : We took in pictures and a sample of our water and they set us straight. Black algae was wiped out and pool is back to new! We will definitely be making this our new pool go to place.
