This is by far the worst plumbing service in San Antonio, I made the mistake of not reading the reviews before I hired them, don't be like me. Plumber came over and determined we had a leak on the main line due to tree roots. Plumber worked for about 4 hours (tried billing me for 5 plus excessive "material") at 175 dollars per hour, the leak turns out was not fixed nor properly identified and continues. Their office does not respond or follow up after calling them to fix their mistake. Zero stars if I could.

Extremely unprofessional came out and charged 350 to dig one foot of 16x16 and gave me a story that it was going to be over 2k dlls to fix, luckily my neighbor saw everything and told them not to do anything, called another company that charged 120 to do the repair, which was minor. If you dont know anything about plumbing these guys can really rip you off. I was very fortunate in this situation. would never call them again, & I recommend you skip this company if you have plumbing problems.

Chris was very professional and polite. Told me exactly what he was going to do to fix my leaking bathtub. Had to go get the parts that were needed and had to make a second trip because handles did not fit the cartridge. On the way out, he noticed that my kitchen sink had started to drip and he fixed that one too. Thank you so much for your help

Called J R Plumbing, 1039 Fresno, S A Tx on Friday, 10/8/21 to come & provide estimate to repair pipe under exterior wall. Trench was already dug about 4-5 feet deep. Female who answered was quick to say $170 an hr, job would take 2-4 hrs and if camera needed, $300 up front. 2 workers came on Tuesday, 10/12 & even though water leakage was visible said camera was needed. Asked if I'd get pictures & video & reply was yes.
I viewed sketchy video on their equipment, paid $300 and estimate was to follow next day. After they left I recalled they didn't ask for my email so I called office and provided. No call or email from company next day nor the following so I contacted them on the 3rd day to express my disappointment and fact that I got absolutely nothing for $300 I paid.
I asked for refund and manager refused. She put blame on the employee. She forwarded the dark sketchy (equipment must be faulty, old, dirty or in disrepair)pics today that are useless.

Chris and John came and fixed the problem, were very polite and explained everything, however the next day the pipe burst further down. Richardo and Mario came on Monday afternoon, found the leak and fixed it as well. Explained that it was most likely a factory defect and now our water is working better than before. Thanks so much. God bless the company and the plumbers that came to help us. Truly appreciate them.

Luis is by far the most professional plumber I have come across in years. On time, prompt, clean and cleaned as he went along on the job. He identified my problem in 20 min and had the leak uncovered and identified and ready to go get the needed parts for the repair. I would definitely recommend luis with jr's plumbing for all your needs as he is definitely my plumber if I need one in the future.

Had SAWS send this joke of a company to my 78 yr old mothers house to work in pipes since the freeze in February. We have a "beware of dog" sign for insurance purposes as we have a senior 9 yr old gentle giant golden retriever. The one guy gets off and instantly states "I don't do dogs" WTF kind of service is that. The other guy assesses the work reluctantly and then tells me I need to work with SAWS to figure out his partners fear of dogs situation. I would expect SAWS to work with reputable and professional plumbers. Highly disappointed with the lack of professionalism.

Service Professionals with Compassion. My water pipes froze and burst with Storm Uri. I had to turn all water off from my house 2/17/2021. I had two other plumbers out before JR's Plumbers arrived. The other plumbers had inflated rates and we're price gouging because of the high demand. JR's Plumbers had 700 people on their list when they came out 3/9/2021, but took their time to do it right, and explain the problem to me.
They were working in conjunction with SAWS, the water utility, with their new CPR program. I would recommend you call JR's Plumbing first. A+ repairs, pricing, and courtesy all the way!

On February 16th, during the winter storm that Texas endured, I had a burst pipe and started calling plumbers. The first to respond was J.R.'s Plumbing. The pipe in question was in an outside laundry room and was exposed, not inside a wall. The water had already been shut off at the main cutoff, so no water was coming out of it. The pipe is copper and had been patched before with a length of plastic pvc that was approximately 6 long.
It was this patch that had split and was leaking. So the cuts to the copper pipe were already made, all that needed to be done was remove the damaged portion of the pvc pipe and replace it. A couple of people showed up and looked at my pipe. I was immediately quoted a price of $800. In the previous repair to replace the damaged portion of the copper pipe and replace it with plastic pvc, I paid $250.
I believe that J.R.s Plumbing took advantage of the weather and the situation to engage in price gouging. I paid $125 for the service visit and told the two plumbers to leave. My husband fixed the pipe himself for $30.

I figured because a price was guess-stimated everything was included. My situation is unique. Hospice was involved so not having gas for a week was to say the least hard. No hot water to shower, no gas to cook with, and no dryer to dry clothes. It was a raining and over cast week so even clothes line drying was out of the question. There was also an oxygen tank involved.
They "cut-off" gas to the particular bedroom and the bathroom even though he passed away within two-weeks of the job being done. At first I was told the gas will stay off in those two rooms because of the oxygen but then I was told it was carbon monoxide. I have a monitored alarm system that specifically includes carbon monoxide monitoring. (A very big company by the way).
They stated a "courtesy" connection had been done when they connected 2 of the 4 heaters. Payment and a waiver must now be signed. They were already paid for the work and it just doesn't seem right. Had to share.
