As an ex Navy technician, I know that troubleshooting takes thorough training and a willingness to seek and search out problems. Dealing with A/C technicians for many years as a homeowner has been almost a joke.they always inflate themselves up as being the best but still leave you not sure of what they did. It was an absolute pleasure working with Simpson Air. I scheduled an annual maintenance and the technician, Jess S., called me to ask if it was ok if she arrived ahead of schedule. Once she arrived, she quickly got to work and was very knowledgeable and professional. She outlined exactly what she did (and gently reminded me about the importance of switching out my air filters regularly).
She was also proactive and made adjustments to ensure that I would not have any issues moving forward. I was so happy with Jess's service that I requested that she handle all future maintenance. Highly recommended.

Our first experience with Simpson Air was with area technician Sean. Sean was very knowledgeable, thorough and kind. Additionally, he offered options to us after his inspection. Never was there any pressure to upsell services or to install a new system, even though our current system is 14 years old. Sean identified items to address sooner than later and identified other issues that could be delayed until a later time-plus the costs for each service. We were very pleased with Sean's visit and will be furthering our relationship with Simpson Air.

Today I had my annual AC maintenance service. I have to say that out of the five years with Simpson Air, the service maintenance technician, Sean O'Neil, was hands down great! He informed me about the process he was going to take while proceeding to do the annual maintenance. He let me know what was happening during the process and kept me informed.
I was very impressed today as he told me not to panic and that I would probably smell heat because he was testing the heater part of the system. I do not recall any other agent ever telling me about checking the heater during the maintenance on the air conditioner, which makes perfect sense. In the past five years as a customer of Simpson Air, all the service agents were always professional, respectful, had excellent customer service skills, and answered any questions. Angel from Simpson Air came out today to perform our annual A/C checkup and maintenance. He was friendly, knowledgeable, honest and an overall pleasure to have around. He answered all of my questions as I always have plenty while overlooking service being done to anything around my home. I like to understand what exactly is being done and try not to get in the way. Angel did not mind and has a great sense of humor. I have used Simpson Air since our home was built in 2016 and they have always been responsive, prompt, professional and courteous. David was our Technician and arrived at scheduled time. He diagnosed that the compressor wasn't working. He did more checking and found out there was a wire burnt and loose causing compressor to not stay on. He found what was not working and checked to see what was causing compressor not to work. He could of said it was the compressor but was very honest and professional on checking everything and replaced the broken wire fixing the AC unit.

A brand new install by their company had a faulty valve. The sent an inexperienced tech out who told me just cycle cool on and off if temp drops. A day later my roof was leaking below the handler and the carpet area around the A/C was soaked and still no valve. They keep no inventory on hand so It takes a week for them to get a part. Pathetic outfit.

Very impressed with Jaquan. He arrived promptly to speak to us about our Carrier AC's installed in Nov.2020.we have 3 units and had one shut off in early July. Our son had contacted Simpsons after he had gotten the one unit back on. It was a Saturday and your office suggested someone to come over to check things out. It was our lucky day when they/you sent Jaquan.he went over so many details that we had no idea of.
He also explained regarding extending the warranties.and will be sending us information. Thank you for having someone who was patient with all our questions and answered them in details. He checked all 3 units plus gave us a tutorial on the thermostat. We recommend Simpsons and Jaquan.

Our condenser stopped working at 5:30pm on Saturday. I called and within 90 minutes A repairman named David, who was so prompt and polite fixed it. I'm extremely pleased with the service we received. Simpson Air installed a new AC and furnace in our home a week ago. Leonard was very professional and provided me with my options and prices. He was here when the team installed the unit and made sure we were happy with the service team. The county inspector told me that "Simpson makes my job easy.they do things right." Today, David is here to make sure the system is running correctly and fine tune the smart thermostat. We've also used Simpson for maintenance for several years. I've had Simpson Air work on my existing systems since I purchased my house in 2012. When my primary system died late in 2020, I had them come out and install a new system along with new ducts. Just the first night alone was like having a whole new house, all the dead zones and poor airflow problems were finally solved. Leonard was great in explaining the different options that made sense for my old 2 story house, and Daniel and Mike were fantastic during the entire install process. I could not recommend them enough!

I've had nothing but problems with my unit after a couple of months we built brand new and for the past 2 years I've had a tech out on the regular and nothing has been fixed when I call it's not friendly at all it's like I'm a burden but I would like to get what I paid for and that's an AC unit that works all the time I called again today because nobody has gotten back to me so we will see what happens in the next few days

I called them on Wednesday for a building AC maintenance contract for 20+ rooftop and split AC units. I was told by the reception that Mike who works in commercial service/sales would be in touch that day. It's Friday and they never called back. These are signs of a poorly run biz so stay away. I gave them 2 phone numbers to call me back so no chance of a miscommunication. I chose another Carrier vendor today.

One of my AC units kept randomly shutting off due to an emergency shut off valve activated by our condensation line overflowing. Glad it could correct itself obvi, but even in the Florida winter we needed that thing working--especially because I had family staying in town for Christmas. I called Simpson Air to have someone check it out and they had someone come out that same day!
Now a technician was already in the area so that helped, but still. I was expecting it to take a few days. Jess, our friendly technician, was incredibly knowledgeable and knew how to fix the problem immediately. She also checked out our second unit just to be safe and thank goodness she did because turns out we had a small clog in that one that would have required them to come back eventually anyways.
She fixed everything and gave me a few tips for keeping things cool/not sticky moving forward as well. She also reminded me that if you pay their annual service charge, they will come out and fix common issues like we had for free and not just during standard business hours. Huge bonus that I didn't know about. Seriously, in a world that just keeps getting hotter, I'm very thankful for AC, but it doesn't do any good if its not working. So thank you Jess and Simpson Air!

I have been working with Simpson Air for a couple of years based on the recommendation of a neighbor. I've been visited by 2 different techs, a total of 3 times. Both techs seemed really honest and up front with me where I feel like other places might have tried to charge me for work and parts that were not required. Not Simpson Air! The only AC service company I call!

Upstairs A/C will not cool the house below 77 degrees. Called Simpson Air because they are who installed it in 2014. Marcus (no sense of urgency, lazy) came out and started his diagnostic. He stated they added anti corrosion stuff to the line's which make the TXV valve go bad. My TXV valve was changed in 2015. He claimed that if he added this compressor lubricant (Zerol ICE) that it might fix the issue.
Well after watching him struggle on how to use the tools to install said lubricant (its a canister and you connect it to the lines, like recharging an auto a/c system) he finally figured out how to do it. So after figuring out how to inject said lubricant he proceeded to go look at the air handler upstairs. He pulled the cover revealing the coil and did some monkeying around and watched the lines ice up.
Well there is this little line at the bottom of the coil that didn't have the same amount of ice as the others (this line is about the size of iPhone charger cable where the others are about the size of you middle finger) he claimed the coil was bad and needed replaced. He quoted me about $755 to replace without a blink of an eye. I found some paperwork attached to the unit and showed the unit was still under warranty and he stated that was just labor cost.
But he didn't seem to mention that when he told me the price. He made a phone call (hopefully to someone who had a clue) and they told him it wasn't the coil it has to be the TXV valve. So he does some other test's on the TXV valve and still claims its the coil. I asked why water is constantly dripping off the coils and saturating my duct work and he said that was normal (won't let me attach a video I took).
I pulled the cover on the other unit and it was bone dry. Water dripping constantly to me doesn't seem correct. I paid him the $86 fee and sent him on his way. He asked if he wanted them to order the coil for replacement and I told him NO, I will be getting a second opinion on my system. It may just be me and my 20+ years experience in the military working on aircraft but he seemed to be jumping the gun and just trying to throw parts at my unit without proper troubleshooting.
I will be calling the company in the morning and calling another company to come out an look at my unit. Also he asked to borrow Allen wrenches and was using his phone flashlight to inspect my A/c handler. I did a walk around my outside units after he left and noticed he did not replace the dust caps on the lines (see pic). Overall I was not satisfied with his work or his diagnostic. I will be calling another company and never using Simpson Air again!

I want to give a shout out to Simpson Air for the work we had done this week at our home. Matt & Kevin installed a new air vent in the sunroom. They were both friendly and professional. They wore protectors over their shoes and even though it was a pain they took them on and off every time they came in and out of the condo. Their work was top notch.
They explained clearly what they were doing and how they were ensuring that the duct was secured and sealed. And, they even took pictures in the attic to show me what they did! I can't say enough about nice it was to have such pleasant and capable guys doing the installation of our new air vent. On top of all that the work was done quickly and they cleaned up everything! Thank you Matt & Kevin. I'm a fan!

This is a wonderful company! We called on the weekend and they had someone out the same day to look at our air conditioning system which wasn't cooling our house. It was over ten years old and we were anticipating needing to replace it soon. Unfortunately this happened sooner rather than later, but this company had people at my door the very next day installing a new system which was fully functioning and cooling my house by mid afternoon.
They even installed a smart thermostat we can control from our phones. We didn't even realize that was included in our package. The installers, Cody and Wayne, were professional and cleaned up after themselves. Linda did a great job explaining our options and checking the work when it was completed. Robert was the service man who came and checked to make sure everything was working properly after installation.
He was friendly and thorough, asking us to call if there were any problems or if we had questions. All in all, what could have been a stressful process was taken care of professionally and promptly! I will keep using this company for future ac needs and highly recommend Simpson Air!

Simpson charged $159.95 for an annual service, then charged another $144.00 for a capacitor that was under warranty! I called and complained, and they said the price was wrong, it should have only been $72 for the cap and they would refund the difference via check. 2 weeks now, (just got the check today). The cap is under warranty, I understand the labor is not, but when you have the wires off already to check the cap (as was supposedly done during the course of the annual maintenance) it should not cost $72 labor to put another one in. Total time at the home 46 minutes, $311.95 bill. Will not be using them anymore.

When I called Simpson air BOTH(UPSTAIRS AND DOWNSTAIRS) ACs WERE WORKING. The reason I called them was because my downstairs AC would freeze. I would just let it thaw out and it would work fine for about a week and it would freeze again. I thought the coil might need to be cleaned so I called them to for their " Full System Maintenance which on-line (coupon says 159.95)" Since I was having them come out anyway I thought I would just have them do the same Full System Maintenance upstairs (after calling I was told since I was having to one done downstairs also it would only 120 for this one). Great, so I had them come out.
This is when they started to turn the screws. I will start with the downstairs, the tech says I needed my blower cleaned(he said it was really dirty) and the coil needed to be replaced because it had a leak. So he left that one alone and Went to the upstairs and started the maintenance, he stated that the upstairs blower needed to be cleaned also and it was "really" dirty so he had to add an additional hour to clean it from the normal cleaning service I assumed that this was the norm so I went with it since it's a 10years old system and it was "really" dirty.
So the work is done. Now for the billing: Downstairs they charged me a fee for finding the leak and service call ( I explained that why should I have to pay for them to come to my house when that was built into the upstairs maintenance service, they didn't come to my house twice. they did take that service fee off I just paid for them to find the leak). Upstairs they also want to charge me $2075(part only) for an evaporator coil which is a $600 part.
They charged me an extra $100 above the "159.99" because "since I didn't have maintenance done last year the 159.99 is a starting at price" this additional charge or starting price verbiage was never stated anywhere. No the tech leaves my house and my house is worse shape than when he got there. My downstairs doesn't work at all and my upstairs works is in the same working condition as when he started (but clean). Simpson Air has been doing my house and my rental properties for years I think it's time for me to find another company.

We unfortunately were referred to this company under our new purchase of a home since they did the installation and ever since day 1 it has been nothing but problems. Their hours are horrible and you constantly have to rearrange your schedule to wait on them. The technicians are unprofessional and no poor labor. We have had the same part fixed 3 times and its still not operational.
The customer service is deplorable and simple task of updating a phone number is beyond their level of comprehension! On top of this they are over priced. This company should be put out of business I can not believe a contractor would choose to use such a unprofessional company! Warranty or not I will NEVER use them again!

They are outstanding! They were responsive and informative over the phone and even more so in person. I was immediately greeted upon entry and referred to the woman I had previously contacted. Not only was I provided with the correct item for purchase, but a few guys even came up front from the warehouse to show me the options I had available to me to ensure my satisfaction with the purchase. I will absolutely use Simpson for ALL A/C needs in the future.

I cannot say enough good things about this business. I originally went through my home warranty company to try and have my air conditioner fixed. Unfortunately, after 4 companies and about 8 technicians later, I finally decided to bite the bullet and call someone that I SELECTED! I researched this company online and they had very good reviews. When I contacted the office, the lady that answered transferred me to a gentlemen who served as my "THERAPIST" for 20 mins.
He never interrupted and never bashed the other companies. (Although I would not have minded). He sent a technician the next day by the name of Brian. HE WAS FANTASTIC! He was willing to stay at my home more than 20 mins! He literally took his time and went through my entire system. He was able to locate the problem, order the part and then return the very next day to repair our TXV valve.
This poor guy was at my home from 1130 to almost 1700 completing the repair. This guy is amazing! The office staff was amazing! Unfortunately after he repaired the part, our brand new compressor that was installed a few months prior by another company went bad. This was because the OTHER Company did not replace the TXV valve when then replaced the compressor.
We did not want the OTHER Company to come back out to fix the compressor again, since they tried to scam us out of $385.00. We made an executive decision to call Simpson Air back out and give us a quote on a brand new air conditioning. A gentlemen by the name of Paul came out on a Friday afternoon, gave us a quote and had a crew her bright and early Saturday morning to put in a brand new A/C in.
That says A LOT. that fact Paul was feeling our pain and went above and beyond to get that system installed for us on a Saturday speaks VOLUMES in my book! The 2 men that arrived on Saturday were very professional! knew exactly what they were doing and had the job done quickly and efficiently! I will NEVER USE anyone else for my A/C service. This company believes in STELLAR customer service! Everyone was GREAT!

I've now used Simpson Air twice for a/c issues. Both times they sent a tech out the same day (crucial for when it's summer in florida and your house temp is steadily rising) and both times the techs have been very friendly. The first time was a flawless experience- after a bit of diagnostic and some elbow grease, they got my a/c working again for a minimal charge.
The second time did not go as smooth. The tech told me I had 2 leaks and needed about $3000 in repairs. (insert panic) I've learned that it's always good to get a second opinion (especially when we are talking multiple thousands), and shockingly, the other company told me I had no leaks and just needed to change my a/c filter. That being said, I could have gone ahead and written an awful review of Simpsons right away.
But instead, I called the manager (Louie) and told him what had happened. He apologized and sent out another tech first thing the next morning to inspect my a/c again. Upon this (third) inspection, the tech found no leaks and reported this back to Louie. Louie called me personally and apologized for his other tech, assured me this is not how they do business, and completely voided my check from the first inspection.
While I was upset about my second experience, I much appreciate the measures Louie took to make it right. For that, Simpson will remain on my list of acceptable house service providers!

Probably not a lot of people think to rate an air conditioning maintenance call but I thought I'd take the time to say that we have used Simpson Air since we built this house 8 years ago and have always been pleased with their service. Their technicians are courteous, clean, and very informative pointing out issues and just explaining what needs to be done without making a hard push to sell more service.
