They called you right back and the call back was quick and they kept in touch with you, customer service is excellent. Joe came out twice, love his communication skills. Everything. Was great the only thing I didn't like was the quote for my front header. But the price for my porch was excellent

I couldn't ask for a better experience. From the initial visit and estimate by Joe until the final cleanup by Jason and payment, everything was done professionally with courtesy and on time. When I scheduled the estimate for breezeway roof and gutter service, the receptionist was courteous. The roof inspector, Joe Taylor was on time and empathic towards my roofing needs. The initial day the roof was to be serviced was delayed due to a snowstorm. Joe called and told me someone would call to reschedule. Well, unfortunately that did not happen.

Several days after the service delay and right before an important work virtual meeting, I got a knock on the door. It was Universal Roofing. I was not notified of the rescheduled date. The roof was snow covered and frozen with ice. They shoveled the roof and used a torch to melt the ice. AND MY Internet wires! The roofer did not bother to move the wires that were loose with plenty of slack.

Due to the damaged internet wires, I had no internet service and as a result no virtual work meeting. My boss informed me that since I could not work (I needed internet service to work), I had to use personal leave time. Thank God Verizon replaced the damaged wires the following day at no charge. But still, I had to use personal time and for a day had no internet service at my home.

The elbow portion of the gutter was replaced and hopefully will not need follow up services to repair the chalk. However, there is now standing water on the roof near the slant and that bothers me. I did not have standing water on the roof prior to Universal services. I hope this does not create a ponding problem on the roof in the future. Some of the water does not slope down as if used to, and I must wait for that water to evaporate. Overall after several weeks that included heavy rain, the breezeway roof has no leaks and issues were resolved in a reasonable amount of time.

This is the 2nd home we had Universal Roofing & Contracting, Inc. install and I cannot be more happy. 4 months later and the roof is without issues. My neighbor went with another company and it took them 8 days and they fired them. Universal was here at 7 am and were finished by 3 pm. Same size roof. I cannot tell you how happy my wife and I are with their work. We are moving again and hopefully we do not need a new roof right away, but if we do we will be using Universal Roofing.

I had roof damage after a hurricane came through and needed a whole new roof because of the age of the old roof. Joe Taylor was extremely helpful and professional through the whole process - he gave me a fair quote and helped me deal with the insurance company once we signed the contract. He was always available to help with any questions I had. The team came out and totally replaced my roof in 2 days - this included removing 5 layers of old roof going back to cedar shingles. These guys are pros, I had a great experience with Universal and would definitely recommend them.

I had my siding and roof done June/July 2021 to address a leak in my indoor porch. I received quotes from several different companies and decided to go with Universal. They weren't the cheapest or the most expensive, nice price for the scope of work. It took about two to three weeks to get started, and about a month to complete. I wasn't upset about the start time, seeing as there is a labor shortage and all.

I was upset about how long it took to complete the job. I spoke with the owner directly throughout the process. The quality of work was an issue initially. However, the owner was very responsive, took responsibility, addressed all of my concerns, and in the end, I was very satisfied. It's now November and my place hasn't leaked since. I am very pleased to say that I gave my down payment today to begin the stages of my new roof, not only do they have a great rating on Google but the gentleman that came out to give me a free estimate was polite and kind and just overall a great person, , thanks Joe you're amazing. They were very affordable and did a great job! My roof leak is fixed perfectly and the silver coating is helping with the summer heat. Fairly communicative, although I did not get a call when the job was completed. Would definitely use them again though should the need ever arise! Service:Roof repair

Worked closely with the Universal Roofing and Contracting Team after we moved into a house that needed a complete roof replacement. The experience was nothing but amazing. I worked closely with Jim to schedule and the team that came out was prompt, thorough, informative and precise. The team replaced the entire roof in half a day and the the work was pristine.

Too boot, It rained shortly after the replacement and there was some standing water / puddling on the roof. I sent a picture to Jim, the team came back out and made some custom / ad hoc changes to the roof to make sure it slopped a bit more and ran directly into the gutter. Again great additional work to make sure everything was up to their standard.

The team's work the first time around was great, the roof has a minimal slope which made for a tough install but even more importantly they didn't stop until the work was done to both their and my satisfaction. Even their patch work, i.e. wrapping pipes and covering corners on the roof was very impressive. I would highly recommend. Their prices, attention, work was all better than everyone else I have talked to.

Contacted Universal roofing for estimate. Joe Taylor came to my house and took photos of what needed to be done. A very fair price was given and a date was set up to start my roofing project. Repair men arrived on the date that was promised and were very professional and courteous. After working very hard they finished the roofing and cleaned up and removed all materials that were left over. In addition, they took photos of the completed work which showed what was done as the contract explained. Very happy with this experience. Highly recommended!

This roofing company is excellent They came out gave me a good estimate a couple days later I got my roof done aluminum siding under my porch and a gutter put in. The guys that did the work clean up after themselves. Great team

I had three new roofs replaced by them in 2017. Two of them leaked in 2018. They came out fixed one and could't find the cause of the other one and said the water probably from my neighbor's roof, but my neighbor does not have any leaks. The one fixed leaks again two years later in 2020. I called two weeks ago and was told someone would call me to schedule a time.

After 5 more calls I haven't received a call from them. Update on 11/13/2020: I am going to record to see how long it takes them to contact me to schedule. FYI, every time I called, there was someone answered the phone and said would send the message over and someone would call me to schedule. Never happened. I called on 10/29/2020 first time, then 10/30, 11/10, 11/11, 11/12, 11/13 and 11/14. Update on 11/17/2020: the company called me on 11/16 to schedule a service on 11/21.

They also mentioned that they were behind schedule due to bad weather and pandemic lacking of materials etc, which are reasonable excuses. However, I still wish they could have called me earlier to let me know what to expect.

We used universal to do a flat roof and wall last year. Good price and they were very efficient. This year we needed some roof work done on a shingle roof as well as putting up new siding. Price was right and they did everything in one day. Joe is great to work with on estimates! Several neighbors have used them after we referred them and all were happy as well. We're in the Mt airy neighborhood. It's nice to have a go to company that I trust.

I have a commercial property in Center City. Jason from Universal was pleasant to deal with. Very knowledgeable, good price and no BS. Repaired and replaced entire roof on time and clean. Highly recommended.

They replaced the roof on my home. They were very professional, knew what they were doing (I know a thing or two), explained the details of the work very well, were very skilled, and did it on time. I definitely recommend them and would use them again.
