I would rather have a leaky roof than let anyone from this company step foot in my house. Completely unprofessional and unacceptable. Asked for an estimate.had a guy call me at 6am to tell me someone will be there between 9-10am the morning of. Told him no one will be home (being that it was 3 hr notice). The guy on the phone cursed and hung up. Got my roof fixed from another reputable company and apparently My Philly Roofer has a horrible reputation through out the city among other roofing contractors. Stay away! Way too many good roofers around to choose them.

Is it possible to give no stars? These guys were all over Philly maybe two years ago, and now they are NOWHERE to be found! Try calling their Philly/Jersey/Emergency #, and you'll get a message saying that the number is no longer in service. The owner still has the company name registered with the state, so that's active. But if you look for them with the Better Business Bureau, they are GRADED F!
As in, they SUCK! There are currently 18 complaints about them, and If I had the energy to write in to the BBB, I would write one too. I currently have 2 leaks in my roof, and the roof itself is hardly 2 years old.

Worst! In late 2011 we called these guys, they came out laid a "New roof" it took them 4 times out as the roof kept leaking, here we are 18 months later and the roof is leaking! I've tried to get a hold of them to hold them to their 10 year guarantee, to findmy number is blocked. These guys are a huge rip off! We paid them over $5000 and now have to hire a new company.buyer beware!

Had these guys doing roof deck and they never got started. Luckily I paid with a credit card so I was able to get my money back by calling the credit card. They kept giving me dates that they would start, then blame it on the weather, and other projects they had going. I got the run around and after 3 weeks or so was able to talk to Eddie, the owner. He's good at telling you what you want to hear.
I bought it for awhile but after a month of no activity on the project, I decided to get a refund. they wouldn't give it to me so I went the credit card route. Stay away!

They were great before the work was completed. Once the work was done i was not pleased with the white metal that was used to cover the seams of my roof. That was over 2 months ago and no one has been out. I was told 3 times that it would be corrected and all 3 times no one called nor showed. Also they killed my plants and did not cover my lawn.

Terrible terrible service. The guy starts off so well and is a great talker so you believe him. But as soon as he gets a check or 2 the work stops and he stops answering calls. Any work that is done is shoddy at best, he will just disappear and hope that you give up trying to get him to finish the job. We are currently talking to lawyers about our options to get a refund so we can get a real contractor to fix everything that Eddie McGovern's people damaged and installed improperly.

They are the most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with. I hired and payed them to fix my roof in February 2012. To date my roof is still leaking. They will not return my phone calls after numerous messages. I have called their office and the owner, Ed's, cell phone. Do not hire this company unless you want to give away free money!

Terrible. Overpriced. Terrible work, terrible customer service. We were warned that we might need to put in roof vents but wouldn't know until they were up on the roof fixing a drainage problem. Eddy collected my money (3 vents at $250 each) for the vents but didn't do the follow up with his crew to make sure they were installed. I had to remind the guys as they were finishing up, they proceeding to dig out some bent, beat up vents that were jammed under some stuff in the back of their truck. Installed them in less than 15 minutes.
Definitely not worth $750, especially since I had to remind them to do it. We had them fix an existing roof drain problem in an commercial building - they left us with more leaks. We tried to contact them to come back and fix their shoddy work but there was always some drama with Eddy's family that took priority. Eventually he stopped returning our calls/messages. Who knows what else they didn't do properly. I wish I could give them negative stars. Stay away from them. Even the Better Business Bureau gives them an F.

Owner is a liar and has bad history with everyone he has dealing's with put my name on the line for him many time's to do painting work yes painting 7 yrs ago he had a painting company now he say's he has 20 yrs roofing exp.what a liar and by the way al the people he did painting work for complained to me and I lost them as customer's so he does not look out for lifelong friend's or so we thought so do ot think he care's about a new customer check out his backround you will look for another roofer after that!believe what Krista say's about him she is related to him I think he is going to be in court for fraud and for slander.i bumped into some guy's that used to work for him and was told he is telling people i robbed him and stole his truck not true but if i could i would after the way he treated me when i needed help.when he was down and out got him plenty of work what a mistake I lost many good customer's because I trusted him, I have been in remoldeling for 10yrs and never have i been sued until i got involved with this guy why do you think he travel's with pitbull's everywhere he goes they are his body gaurds. I have names of four people who used to hire me and now do not and they told me it was because I was connected to this guy.

Please don't give your money to My Philly Roofer, because chances are you will be very disappointed. i paid in full for work 2 months ago, and some work is not done well. Other work was never completed. After making multiple phone calls and receiving promises that the workers would come to my home (they didn't), I am now pursuing resolution though the Better Business Bureau. There are many unresolved claims against this business.check the BBB website to verify. Save your money and a lot of aggravation. Don't make the same mistake I did.

Well I am now begining the process of taking these people to small claims court. The job they performed was fraudulent and shoddy. The work order stated that they would replace the barge board and capping, install a 4 ply roof and remove all material. I could tell from the ground level that the barge board and capping had not been replaced. (unfortunatly I hadn't noticed this until after I had paid them) I called Ed about this.
He denied it and became abusive. In subsequent calls he simply hung up on me. I called him later when there was water coming through our ceiling during a heavy rain. I have now had another roofer inspect the roof. He confirmed that the barge board and capping had not been replaced. He also advised that the roof was 2 ply not the 4 ply as represented.
In general he pointed out a series of shortcuts and substandard product including multiple gaps at important joins. Finally he advised me that a good part of the roof material had been dumped on my neighbors roof rather than taken away. My guess is that this is standard procedure for My Philly Roofer because in most cases we can't and wont see what has been done to our flat rowhouse roofs.
The only time they returned to my house was when I said I was getting a lawyer. They came out unannounced with the apparent intention to attempt to cover up some items that they clearly knew were a problem. Oh, additionally his guys actually threatended me on my property when I pointed out the issues.

I needed a whole new roof put on and when the contractor showed up to give me a quote, he was very rude to me and kept speaking to me like I was an idiot so I got the quote I asked him to leave. He was still standing on my patio when my husband pulled into the driveway. All of a sudden he was Mr. Niceguy with the whole "I was just telling your wife." BS.
I told my husband that he was rude to me and I had just asked him to leave. The guy lied to my husband and said that I was being ridiculous. My husband, being the man that he is, told him that he better leave if he knew what was good for him. Evidently, C&C roofing contractors treat women as though they are morons. I wouldn't use C&C Roofing if they were the last company on earth and I had a gaping hole in my roof.

Where do I even start? I spent thousands on roof and interior repairs. I paid him IN FULL before the holidays.to be nice.and he left my work unfinished and the inside of my house a complete mess. Would not even return my calls. It's probably best because the interior drywall work they did do was horrible. I ended up finishing the job myself--good thing I am good at spackling and was able to clean up the job.
The roof work was decent, but there were also things on the exterior he was going to return and fix, but of course that was never done. My neighbors and friends hired him for roof work and each had the same experience--they paid him in full, he promised to return to finish a few things, and then never did. Finally, he told me he would help me get additional money from my insurance company for work that was done but was not included in the original insurance settlement.
All he had to do was provide documentation and pictures, which he said would be no problem. Never did. Another reviewer also noted My Philly Roofer got an F from the Better Business Bureau. This is true. Apparently my experience is a common practice with them. Too bad I did not research this until AFTER I hired them. Please stay away.

These guys did a terrible job at my house. I had a roof leak, and they gave me a quote to seal my roof including the edges and the flashing. Then the roofers who came to do the job refused to cover the edges and the flashing. An inspector told me that those area's needed to be sealed. The company does not return my phone calls and has refused to come back to my house even to look at the work which was done. Further the materials the roofers used were not the same as the materials which their estimator put on the estimate that he was going to use. they swapped out the materials for the cheap stuff.
I would not use them again. Let me add that they got a grade of F by the Better Business Bureau. http://www.bbb.org/washington-dc-eastern-pa/business-reviews/contractors-general/my-philly-roofer-in-philadelphia-pa-200427326/
