Universal Windows Direct

Window installers were professional and courteous, and they cleaned up after themselves after completed. However, it did take them over 2 days to finish the windows install, while were were told by our sales rep that the install would be completed in half a day. Secondly, our sales rep told us we could get half screens instead of full screens, and it even shows in my contract that I ordered half screens. However, we were given full screens for all windows and when I asked why the installer said I needed to contact the sales rep.

I reached out to Universal Windows Direct and was informed that they do not offer half screens for any of there vinyl windows. I told them that my sales rep said otherwise, but the person on the phone didn't really seem to care and basically said I am stuck with the full screen. Not sure why our sales rep would even offer us half screens if she knew that those are not available, but I am annoyed to say the least. Poor customer service. Great windows. I cannot give 5 stars for my experience.

Our windows were ready for installation about 6 weeks before expected. What a pleasant surprise! The installers were courteous and professional and did a great job. There was virtually no mess left behind, and the new windows look fantastic! Some of the locks are a little stiff, but maybe it's just because they're brand new.

John and Frank were our installers and work was perfect! The windows were even better than I imagined they would be. Super attractive looking inside and out. My house will be up for sale in 2 months and these windows are an extreme plus! Time frame was like expected. It was about 6 weeks wait. Tom the sales rep was amazing and helped me with color choices. I needed bronze to match the outside cedar and white on the inside. I am very happy just wish I did it sooner!

What a great experience. Ben, Dom and Bud were very professional and quick. I would have never thought replacing 14 windows and our sliding doors would be done so quickly. The guys showed up on time and got right to work. When the job was done they cleaned up and you couldn't even tell work was done in our house because there was nothing left behind. Our house looks so much nicer now. This experience confirmed our decision for our investment. Thank you guys very much.

We couldn't be happier with our experience with Universal Windows Direct. From sales, to installation, the company was true to their word with communication & professionalism. Our sales rep, Eric, took the time to come out and explain everything to us, step-by-step. The installers came out on 2 extremely cold days and worked all day (both days) to get our windows & sliding glass door replaced.

We noticed a difference immediately with our inside temp, as well as how minimal our furnace runs (in comparison to before the replacements), once everything was finished. Thank you for doing such a great job & helping ease our minds with such a big purchase!

This place is horrible! I've had nothing but issues and every time they come to my house something else is screwed up, wrong etc. I regret ever dealing with this company and their run around. Suppose to replace/repair any broken frames. They not only didn't fix the frames, didn't seal a bunch which I had to do. They got spray foam on my carpet, and instead of saying something.

The installer just rubbed it in. My carpet is $60/yard. The windows leaked outside air into the house. I had to repair/fix or correct just about something on 28 windows. If I were to write out everything, I would run out of room. If you want to save yourself a major headache go somewhere else. You be glad you did.

The sales rep was very helpful. However the install crew was late to the appointment. The installed said "they didn't even know about the install until that day" or they would have started their day earlier so they weren't so late arriving. After my husband sat waiting for over 3 hours for them. Then to find the toe lock on the slider isn't working right and we have to wait an additional 2 - 4 weeks for a replacement one, after we've already waited 3 months for the new door to come in.

The when installing the window found they did not measure correctly per the installer. The way the prior window was installed and the difference of the new window it's now showing 2 chunks of missing wood on my sill. The office says it's not a measure issue that happened but they'll be glad to fix my sill but need to get the parts, etc. fix it. Not sure how long it will take.

My initial plan was to use them again for additional doors needed but definitely waiting on how things are handled before making that decision. If they make things right in a quick manner then I would change my star selection.

I had windows installed throughout my house and would leave a 5-star review, but I have marked it three stars due to the constant calls I receive every couple of days. First off, I set up the replacement with the salesperson that gave me the quote, and the install went well. A month later, I received a phone call stating that I owed more money because the loan and deductible did not cover the project.

After pulling my loan details and the contract, I had to Prove there was a calculation error on the side of Universal Windows accounting those calls stopped. Every couple of days, I have had a call asking me how the install went, enjoying our windows, the next project I want to have done, and what other services they offer. I have told the person who keeps calling that we are happy with our windows and that I had just spoken to her a few days earlier.

I get that you are trying to make a sale. Still, at this point, I am not going to purchase any more service nor recommend the company being I am receiving repetitive, unwanted calls at random times of the day and afternoon/evening. In the last call I received, I mentioned that I received the same call just about every other day for the last couple of weeks, and if I want more services, I will call. While at work today and in a MEETING, I received another call (That I ignored). I am taking future projects to another company because I feel harassed about my next project.

Our experience with Universal Windows was disappointing to say the least. To start the salesperson came out sold us the windows and 2 sliders. We signed the paperwork at a agreed upon price when we got the paperwork the price was $1000.00 higher than the original agreed price. I called the salesperson and he said he had not measured one of the sliders and the price was higher.

After some discussion about not being our problem the price was lowered but not to the original agreed upon price. I asked the salesperson for the original paperwork done on his laptop and he stated he could not find it. In mid-May of 2021 Universal Windows came out to install our windows and 2 sliders. We purchased 11 windows and 2 slider with grids.

The installers were given 9 windows and 2 sliders without grids. The installers called the office and said they would be back at later date with the missing windows and sliders with grids. LATER was correct! it took eight months to get the windows (showed up 1/12/2022) and had no sliders with grids. It was obvious from the filthy condition of the windows that they had sat in the warehouse for quite some time.

The only bright spot to this disaster was the installers, the were polite, efficient, and hard working! For the price of this job the level of service we have received to date should be a crime!

Had new sliding windows put in throughout our home. The photos below show puddling water inside the house when it rains. Universal said this is normal which doesn't sound right to me. What will happed in the winter when the water freezes? I asked the installer to keep the old bathroom window (was like new) so I could install it as a replacement for my garage window.

They forgot and disposed of it. I called the installer and he came and measured it to see if he had a size I could use. Never heard back from him. I called Universal and they said your out of luck, you are going to have to buy your own window. DO NOT USE UNIVERSAL WINDOWS.

Our sales rep Goran was amazing. He was so helpful and ensured we got the best deal possible! Can't wait to get our new windows!

This was one home improvement decision my husband and I did not regret our choice as to who would get the job. The entire process from salesman to installation (installer) was a wonderful experience.

Yesterday, August 1, universal direct installed 4 sliding glass doors and side lights for the front door. They did in one day. Avery professional hardworking crew they were. The install was neat and the Windows look lie they have always bee there.

I am very disappointed in the windows that were installed. The windows are mostly frame and little glass. In some windows I lost more that 50% of the light from before. I am going to have to replace this one again.
