Windows
Report
When it comes to installing windows, you actually have two choices - (A) Hire a run-of-the-mill installation agency who might know next to nothing about framing, drywall, siding, etc and turn your house upside-down for several days. You can then spend a few more days cleaning up the mess. It's not as bad as it sounds, you know, it could be fun if you have a lot of free time in hand.
Doors
Report
You know what's the most important thing we learn after spending two decades installing hundreds of thousands of doors across the country? You must get the installation right the first time itself! Seriously, you rarely get a second chance to get a door installation right. Trust us when we say door installation is both art and science.
Furniture Assembly
Report
From dorm room and living room furniture to office cubicles and retail displays, we have done almost every possible furniture assembly that you could imagine. RFI's expert furniture assemblers provide experienced furniture assembly services for your chairs, desks, tables, file cabinets, panel systems, beds & more!
Bathrooms

Installation of a new sink or toilet may seem like a simple project, but you should be aware of the issues that may arise during the process. If any part of the system attached to your toilet or sink is broken or if there is invisible rot in the inside area, or even worse if the tiles break during the installation process, it won't be an easy DIY project anymore.
Kitchens
Report
A kitchen remodel and cabinet installation project can be the most invasive and emotionally draining of any home improvement project. We understand the seriousness of your kitchen projects and have evolved our processes over two decades to ensure that your project goes smoothly. The most important thing is to get the measurement right.

If I could give 0 stars I would. This company is highly unethical. They work thru HomeDepot and come up with outrageous requirements that are not based on actual building codes to jack up their quotes. I'm an engineer so I knew what they were saying to pad their quote was not accurate. I contacted the County's building code department, and the County sent email confirming that what RFI was quoting was not accurate. RFI refused to do the work since it was not padded for extra profits. On a side note, HomeDepot is worthless in helping resolve issues with this external vendors.

HORRIBLE COMPANY! DO NOT USE! They came to install my door I bought through Home Depot. The installer was very nice and did a great job. Then hurricane ida happened. We had this door installed because our previous door leaked and caused some floor damage. We were assured by the installer that the new door would fix the issue. After Ida there was more leakage which caused even more damage to our floor.
And before you say anything I asked our next door neighbors ( who have identical houses and porches) if they had any leaks through their back door and they didn't have any at all. I called Home Depot and RF called me back. They said that because I didn't paint the door (a fiberglass door) the warranty was voided and there was nothing they could do. Seriously?
Door paint on a door that isn't wood or metal? Really? Long story short they came out (and it was the same installer and he also said that the floor damage had increased and they something wasn't right) and did some caulking to "prevent any more leaks while they figure out a resolve". But they told Home Depot they we were satisfied. So they LIED! Now we have to pay to have our floors redone because of the Negligence of this installing company. DO NOT HIRE THEM!

They did the installation of our storm doors that we purchased at home Depot. Awful service. They did a shot of your job, used defective wood that failed after only a few weeks and I can't get anyone to do anything about it because they are claiming it's wind damage and I need to make an insurance claim. Never use

If Your home depot installation is with these people, just call home depot and get the installation refunded. Ordered a security patio door and chose the installation on home depot's site. Door was delivered and then spent the next 3 weeks trying to contact these people multiple times. No call back, no answer. And now after seeing this is a problem with them for years, i've gotten my money back and will be contracting out the door myself to someone worth it. Waste of money so please pass on them if you find out they're who your home depot contracted

I had a new front door installed 20 May from one of your contractors in Tucson, AZ through Home Depot. I have reached out to Home Depot and they have reached out to RFI about the unacceptable job that was done. First, there is a gouge on the upper right corner trim on the inside that he filled with caulking to try to hide it. Second, the shims on the bottom of the door on the outside are not only not flush, but they are also VERY noticeable and he covered it with clear caulking.
And third, the board at the bottom of the door on the outside that should have covered the shims that I previously mentioned, is too short length wise and should have been placed higher in order to cover those shims. Home Depot even sent them $100 travel money to inspect the project. They have neither called me, emailed me, nor shown up at my house to do so.
They have stated they believe their contractor over what I and Home Depot have said, even with pictures to show otherwise. They even went so far as to say they sent their best installer. I would truly hate to think what the rest of the installers do on their jobs. This is totally unacceptable.

Terrible company. Home Depot hired them to install French doors and closet doors that I bought. The installation is so bad, I will need to get another company to rip everything out and fix everything. One of the sliding doors is clanking loudly, and the trim around the French doors is beyond terrible. Nothing matches up, everything is uneven, there are HUGE gaps between the trim and drywall (drywall that I just paid to have done which they ruined), holes are visible in the floor, everything is just bad. See attached photos for proof of how bad this company is. Complete waste of money.

Had an Andersen Patio door installed on February 28th of this year and I am not happy at all with the installation. They took forever, the doors do not operate smoothly (French door), all the screws were not installed in the hinges and the gaps around the door are terrible. An inspector came on March 4th and he seemed very bent on blaming the product.
I was also quite shocked to see how the door was transported to my home. It was strapped onto the bed rails of a small Dodge pickup truck. Wouldn't surprise me at all if the frame was damaged due to how it was tranported. Still waiting to hear back about what will be done.

Wow! I don't know what to say. If I had seen these reviews before, I probably would have gone to a different company to order doors (front and back plus 2 storm doors). I went to order both doors at Home Depot (HD) in Tukwila, WA, they told me that an installer would come out and take measurements and we can go from there. I think HD contracts with RF Installations LLC who subcontracts it out to Independent Contractors to do the work.
So we agreed on a date and approximate time. Jeff Chidester contacted me to confirm the appointment. He would be my measuring guy and installer. He arrived right around when he said he would. Politely, answered all my questions. Got the measurements and was done. I went to HD and ordered the doors thru their door people on Oct. 02.2021. Was told lead time was 6-8 weeks.
Well during these times it was a lot longer than that, try 13 weeks, it is what it is. Checked with HD few times to find out when the doors will be in. Finally, I was told that they would be in a weeks time and that the installer would call to confirm. Jeff Chidester called and I took a couple of days off to be home for the install. Was I lucky? He showed up on time, was neat, very professional, cleaned up as he went along, was polite, helpful, answered all my dumb dumb questions as he did the the install.
I cannot begin to tell you what a FANTASTIC JOB! he did. My house is more quiet, no draft coming from under the doors, like ZERO! Well he has been doing this kind of work for over 30 years and it showed. I'm not so sure this is really a review on RF installations, but more a review on the installer, Jeff Chidester. On top of that, when he did the measurements, he noticed that I had screwed a bucket lid to block a hole made by a Woodpecker above my back door.
On the second and last day of the install (back door), as soon as he was done, I had to go pick my GF up at her work to go see her doctor, so I said goodbye pretty quick and I left the house. When we got home a few hours after the hospital visit, she noticed that Jeff had gone out of his way to patch up the hole above my back door, are you kidding me?
There are still people out there like Jeff Chidester who not only give great care into the work they do, but go above and beyond expectations. Kudos to you Jeff Chidester, you absolutely blew past beyond any normal expectations from any contractor. For that, my family thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the care and attention to detail you took in upgrading our doors and how you treated our house with respect when you did the install. Thank you so very much! In Hawaii, we say Mahalo Nui Loa! God bless you and your family.

Matthew Evans with RF Installations came to our home to install our storm door contracted through Home Depot. It appears this company does not have great reviews due to the people who work or have worked for them. That isn't very reassuring to hear as a reviewer, I am sure. But I will tell you one thing our experience is they have CHANGED that around! Matthew is PHENOMENAL.
He gave us a courtesy call; he was very polite and articulate about his work. Matthew made sure the job was not only done but done correctly! Matthew made sure that he finished what he started no matter how long it took and even explained things to us as he went. He was accommodating and treated our home as if it was his, again ensuring the job was done RIGHT!
I tell you one thing if Matthew were a tasker on task rabbit, we would hire him for EVERYTHING we needed to be done around our place! Matthew is your go-to guy for sure with this company.

Update: I spoke with a man from the corporate office in Texas and he was very nice and professional. These people need to learn a thing or two from him. Never got the work done because this company has ZERO respect for treating their customers like decent human beings. I paid for a kitchen remodel on 5/24/21 and was told RFI Installations would have one of their contractors call me for a measure and estimate on an install.
Fast forward to nearly a month later and I still hadn't gotten a call, email, nothing. I got the kitchen remodel done through Home Depot so I followed up with them to try to get in touch with SOMEONE to get an estimate as the cabinets were supposed to be in production soon, so if adjustments were needed it was important to get them to the company.
The woman at Home depot said she called them on at least six different occasions to try and get me scheduled, but still nothing. Last week after much complaining I finally get a call from one of the contactors who has a nasty attitude because he said he was out of town due to a family emergency for two weeks so that's why he didn't contact me.
Well this order was placed and paid for almost a month ago so why didn't he call then?! I just acknowledged what he said and let it go. He showed up on 6/16/21, still with the nasty attitude and after measuring told me there needed to be adjustments for the cabinets. he said he would get back to me with an estimate. He never got back to me, didn't respond to my calls or texts and when I followed up with Home depot I was told they weren't going to do the job.
No reason, no call to tell me they weren't taking it. I called Brian at RFI Installations very frustrated with the level of unprofessionalism and he actually hung up on me after making excuses for why he didn't bother following up.

RF Installations did great quality work installing french doors to replace our patio sliding glass door. Their installation line number is always busy, and if you are working be through Home Depot the process is a mess, but all those issues seemed to be caused by HD, not RFI. Installed the door in 4 hours. Just get more people to answer your phones and the experience would be perfect!

Home Depot contracted them out to install a door. Showed up late for both measurements and installation. Managed to damage door and didn't finish the job. Anytime you try to call it goes to voicemail and no call back. Tried reaching out to Home Depot who also gives the run around saying they will try to contact them.

Good luck getting through to them. If you call 800-557-8934 and press option 2 for Kitchen installations, you *might* get through to Carl. Once through to him, he does not really offer much support as he passes the buck to his local contractors. This group is contracted by Home Depot and Home Depot should really rethink working with them. They are inaccessible, and intimately incompetent as there is no accountability nor follow through.
They will not return voicemails if you leave them, but i recommend doing so anyway, so there is a record of your calls. If you find out they are the installers at your local Home Depot - go elsewhere!

Good service mostly but I had issues with one of the doors after installation. It took longer than expected to get someone to come back and when they did they did an incredibly half assed job of fixing it. They left the area around the door not looking the best because they kept what I think is a faulty piece of the old door trim. I would have loved an explanation as to why this was route they choose because to be me it felt lazy especially since they did not do this to the two other doors.

This is for RF Installers in Spring, Tx. I bought new front and rear entry doors and storm doors from Home Depot on March 2nd, 2021. Home Depot said we would be contacted soon by the installer to schedule a time for the install. We were contacted in less than 24 hours and the date was set for Friday March 5th, between 9am and 1pm. Our installer was there by 9:30am.
This installer, Chris, was professional and courteous during the course of the installation. His finished work was excellent and our doors are solid, close tightly, and improve the external view of our home. If Home Depot assigns RF to install your doors, you will want to request Chris. I have read all the negative reviews against this company and honestly do not know what to say about them except that we did not experience what the other posters did. Our install was excellent and the installer was awesome and his work speaks for itself. Check out our photos below!

Worst installation company EVER! Do not use them! The installer came to install 1 door and left my house a MESS! Over $900 in repairs I had to do. Installed horrible trim around the door that had to be refinished and painted, paint around the door was completely destroyed. Nails left all over my deck, took 2 hours to clean it all up. Mud all over my brand new floors inside. Told the "caulk" would dry clear. Nope, it was white Silicone! Took my tile guy 1 hour to get it off my new backsplash! Outside storm door was hung back up crooked with 3" of caulk randomly put around my door, which also didn't dry clear. Bottom line, RUN from this company!

Their lack of communication and response is quite scary knowing the amount of money and time spent on these installations. They are the preferred vendor for home depot in my area - I highly recommend visiting other home depot stores that would use a different installer. Installer called on the day of my 2 door installation which was scheduled 3 months in advance and cancelled due to personal reasons. Was told that someone would reach out. Noone did. Had to contact home depot who gave me a number to contact.
I am currently in the process of trying to contact a Denise Reyes who is the chicago field manager. Several voice messages over a weeks time and an email now have all went unanswered. I question what my next steps should be, just cancel the doors?

Byron Beckman destroyed my home due to his incompetence and Home Depot puts the blame on RFInstallations who actually hired this clown. RFInstallation has so many bad reviews and many concerning this Byron Beckman that I would think Home Depot would consider using another company. RFInstallations fired this guy before due to inadequate work, but they let him come out here to Abilene and Brownwood to bring his bad work ethics here and now we are stuck with him destroying our properties.
This RFInstallations is a HORRIBLE company and with worst installers. I advise strongly to NOT let Byron Beckman do installs to your home! Use someone else until Home Depot gets rid of him and gets rid of the contract with RFInstallations.

This company is Home Depot's preferred vendor in my area for door installations. It required a number of phone calls just to get these folks to call me back in order to schedule a time to come out and perform a measurement and estimate. I was finally able to schedule a appointment. I was promised an estimate in 48 hours. When the estimate didn't arrive in my email I called for a status and left a message.
I waited 24 hours but did not get a return phone call. I made another attempt the next day. I left another message but still no return call. I haven't even gotten to the installation process yet and I am already having serious doubts about this company. From a customer service standpoint, this is an awful company. I do not know why Home Depot hires this company as one of their subcontractors. There's an old adage in business. If you don't take care of the customer, somebody else will.

Some of the worst customer service I've received, or rather, lack thereof. We scheduled a time for installation in advance, requested time off from work, waited patiently for our install and they were a no call, no show. Playing phone tag with them trying to reschedule the install and we will likely have to request off from our jobs AGAIN since they don't do installations on the weekend.
They also keep pointing fingers and blaming others for the installation being a big flop. We've paid for the install, we took time off for the installation and nothing. We did our part, please do yours.

If I could leave a negative review I would. These people did a horrible job, broke property in my home, came out three times, and still could not install my screen door so it closed. One of the gaps in the screen door was so large that a lizard was able to get through it. I didn't even realize there was a gap in the seal on the screen door until I started using the door and the lizard got into my home.
After the second attempt to fix the screen door so it could close completely, I complained to the field manager, Pamela, who yelled at me over the phone and told me it was my fault that the door didn't fit, even though the door was custom made for my home. If you dare go through Home Depot to buy a patio door for your home, ask who they use as their subcontractor.
If it is this company, take your business elsewhere. I made the mistake of going through Home Depot because I thought they were an upstanding business but this sub was below par. This was a rookie mistake that I will never make again.

Do not use RF Installations for any kind of installation services. I ordered an entry door and installation service through Home Depot and they sent Michael Gutridge from RF Installations. It looks like that guy doesn't know how to install a door frame and a door. Since he couldn't get the job done, he left the door unfinished as in the picture.
Now I am dealing with home depot because RF Installations stopped responding to my messages. Now my door is unusable, unsafe and messed up. Please refrain from using RF Installations

RF Installations is a financial leach and $$$ vampire in the installation business. they feed off small companies and suck the life force out of them. INSTALLERS BEWARE, DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU HAVE DEEP POCKETS AND CAN AFFORD TO LOSE MONEY! Consumers beware, because you basically have a 25% chance of getting a quality install from this company. They only care about their bottom line!

Absolutely most piss poor ran company on this planet. Customer service clearly isn't in this companys mission statement, or dictionary. Nobody at this company returns phone calls, or makes any effort to make their customers happy. I had a door installed at my house and during the installation damage was caused to my floors. I contacted the company and long story short they basically called me a liar, and said that I was making it up.
Now I have to go through a legal process just to try to fix what they screwed up. Attached are pictures of the damage that this company said was "pre-existing". I hired the company to install a door, no idea why they felt the need to fill a preexisting crack in with wood putty.

I will never work with RFI again, even if they are the only contractor Home Depot will use. I'd rather deal with another supplier (Loews) or hire an independent contractor than put up with the delays, lack of communication and inept work demonstrated by RFI. A job that should have taken 2-3 weeks is in its 2nd month with no completion in sight. The staff and management of RFI seem more interested in making money than assisting their customers.
I have already brought this to the attention of Home Depot, one of their major partners and hope this will help other consumers avoid the issues I have run into with this company.

Today Adam and JJ arrived at my home and installed a screen door I had purchased at Home Depot, they were extremely professional and walked me through the installation process, and to boot they were actually on time. In reality they arrived early, which living down here for 2 years is pretty rare.please thank them again for their help.

Mr. Patrick Ireland provided the most urgent, professional service that could be expected. My house was invaded.early Sunday morning. Sunday night, I went to Home Depot to price new doors and installation, since the originals were badly damaged. Mr. Ireland was at my house at 7:30am the next day to take measurements, and returned to install my doors at 8:30pm.

I was fortunate to have Jarrod Davis install my double doors in my kitchen. Having a dad that has always been a perfectionist about his work. I have been accustomed to perfect workmanship. After watching Jarrod a few minutes I realized he would be performing the way my dad would do things. My dad is not in the best health or he would have done the work himself.

I bought a door from Home Depot and we paid almost $800 to have it installed by RFI. Their door installers (Doug) came one hour late without calling. I took a day off from work that day, their scheduler was never responding to our calls, they scheduled the work, but she never confirmed with a call back.

I just wanted to comment on the excellent installation performed by one of your technicians, Adam. He installed a storm door that I purchased at Home Depot. Although the door frame was a bit too small and not a perfect rectangle, Adam stuck with it and got everything to fit correctly. The door works perfectly. Good job.

FYI, Brian Bolger installed a patio door in our family room. He did a wonderful job, a 10 for sure! Our house could be blown down due to a storm and I know the doors would still be standing. They cleaned up after they finished and I would not have known they were here. He was very friendly but, professional. My husband and I could not be happier.
