We had high hopes for this company. Adam was personable and we love using family owned businesses. He came out quickly and assessed our yard for a pool. He said to expect a quote in the next couple days. Nothing. Weeks went by. Nothing. Countless texts and emails and phone calls AND another visit from Adam to look at some things he forgot- NINE MONTHS later (more phone calls, emails and texts unanswered) we have NO QUOTE and no pool.

We even told him up front that we were in no hurry, so some honestly would have been appreciated. If you're getting quotes, get several if you actually want a pool. We gave them every opportunity to be honorable about it.

Critical: Professionalism, Responsiveness I couldn't tell you if they build a good pool because they completely ghosted us after coming out to do an assessment, and promising to provide a quote. Emailed them but no response.

They no show/no called me twice and then told me to take my business elsewhere. Very unprofessional.

Adam and his company built my family our dream pool. We were blown away by their level of detail and attentive customer service. We didn't think we had the soil or room to construct our custom vision but they showed us things we never thought possible. Thank you so much for our gorgeous staycation area!

Hermanson came out to look at our yard to give us a quote on a new pool we wanted, everything seemed like it was going great, Adam said he would give us a quote by the following Tuesday well. Tuesday came around and nothing so I decided to call the shop the lady I talked too said she would have adam call it was Wednesday and still no call or anything I decided I'd wait a few more days and I tried reaching out again, nobody would answer the phone so I left a message and still no phone call was returned. please people don't waste your time with a company that can't return a simple call or give you a simple quote, if you want a bigger bang for your buck go with A-1 pools!

To clarify, we didn't build a pool with Hermanson for the same reason that I'm giving a one-star review. Experience started positively with Adam giving us a favorable quote and meeting us in person at his office to go over all the options etc. We signed them up end of March with expectation of starting construction end of April. Communication from Adam was poor through-out April w/ calls not returned and messages not answered.

Around the fourth week of April, Adam told us that they hadn't even filled for permits w/ the city as yet and construction would not start at least until 3rd week of May. That's when we pulled the plug since we had lost confidence in the company. Not only did we waste a bunch of time, we also wasted a precious spring month that could have gone towards construction of the pool which would have been ready for the summer.

To top it all, there wasn't much of an apology/compensation for delay from the company except the excuse that they're busy with a more time consuming client in Santa Fe! Overall, based on previous reviews and my personal experience, if you care about good communication and discipline in schedule, this is not where you want to take your business.

If you're in the market for a pool, do yourself a favor and check out Hermanson Construction. Linda and her team were nothing but professional. I will tell you that there are probably cheaper companies, and Linda even quotes pool packages, but in the end you get what you pay for. To anyone considering adding a swimming pool to their yard, add a bit to your budget and get a better pool, and give these guys and gals a call.

I have had an amazing experience getting my pool from Hermanson and Co! From the front desk to the completed project, it couldn't have gone any smoother. And now I'm SWIMMING! Definitely would more than recommend to all who are considering a pool GET A HERMANSON POOL!

Having my pool constructed by Hermanson is one of the best decisions I have ever made! They are professional, friendly and dependable. Hermanson has continued to "be there" long after the pool was built. They are responsive and reliable. The pool came out absolutely fantastic! The construction is superb, holding up season after season. Putting in a pool is a major event and Hermanson made it an enjoyable experience. 5 stars!

It breaks my heart to see negative comments about Hermanson Pools. They have built us 2 pools over the years and the workmanship and commitment this company has towards their customers surpasses any company we have ever dealt with in the past 50 years! It is wonderful to hire a locally owned family business that cares about their clients. It is difficult enough for a family business to compete with the larger companies and to have negative feedback hurts more than we know.

Being a family business of course there will be off times as we all know from our own family issues. We all need to have patience toward one another. Our society has become a "me, me, me" and to heck with anyone else society and it is a shame! Hermanson Construction is a top quality "A plus" company. We would highly recommend them to anyone needing a top notch pool! So, leave negativity at home and don't put it on anyone else. We first had a Hermanson pool built in 1980 so when it came for another pool in our new home last year we would never have considered anyone else. You couldn't ask for a better constructed pool anywhere. The Hermansons and their crew are excellent. They go way beyond the call of duty in doing the little extra unexpected challenges.

My whole life I have wanted a swimming pool. As far back as I can remember I have had an interest in water, and growing up in San Diego, California I had plenty of water options to choose, from the ocean and surfing to lakes for wakeboarding and of course the hours of fun a pool offers.

When we decided to have a swimming pool built in our backyard we began the search for a builder of pools. In an effort to do our homework first, the name Hermanson kept coming up.

They missed our appointment. When I called to go ahead and see if I could at least get some basic info. The gal on the other end of the phone was very unpleasant and unhelpful. She even tried to discourage me from purchasing, as if she knows what I can or cannot afford to pay.

Way to go lady, you just lost a sale and also gained a negative rating who will also always recommend to folks I know to not even bother calling this company.

Hope anyone ready to put in a pool reads this, and calls someone else who wants to earn your business instead of a company who thinks customers should be grate full for " Hermanson" Ha what a joke
