Mike Riley's Landscaping

Used Mike Riley's landscaping and it was the worst ever! First, he doesn't come on time and he tells you he'll be there, but expect him to come late into the evening, and when it gets dark. Why? So you don't see how messy his work is and you pay an unbelievable price because he never gives you a receipt. He lies to you to tell you how much he paid and then when you call the nursery and find out it's at least $200 more than he's charging you.
My experience with Mike has been pretty eye-opening since him and I were friends almost 9 years . I've read bad reviews about him and I really didn't think that he would do that to a friend but he did !!he scammed me lied to me and literally robbed me of a $400.
He planted two trees for me last year, took my oak trees that I had in my yard and sold them, and then lied to me and said he gave them to a neighbor! Then he asked for at least $800 for two trees, that he potted that are literally dead.
I gave him the benefit of the doubt and asked him to go get several bushes for me, and he did show up however, it was so late in the day, and I had to work so hard to pot my own flowers and bushes. Not worth it. He uses unknown people to help him, don't even do quality work. He runs a scam, up charges you even his own friends!! He could care less about you or your garden or front / back yard. Uses multiple names on who he is so I'm posting pictures of what he looks like. He has a big beer belly, fat and you can't miss him.!!beware.

Started job asking 1/2 down. Didn’t show for work. Started digging taking dirt/rock to street and leaving it then asked for full payment. Gave false addresses. Took him to court 9/2011 and he was ordered to pay restitution which he never did. Sherriff attempted to collect. Case is still open and penalties are mounting on top of restitution

If his lips are moving, he’s lying. He tried to rip me off, but I gave him the chance to make it right. Then he tried to abandon the job, leaving me with a muddy mosquito breeding ground. Only with the threat of legal action, he finally came back and pulled my flagstones which were buried under the muck.

I bought my first home and was so excited, with the exception of my front yard. The house had been remodeled but the landscaping in my front yard was very basic and boring. Mike Riley had been referred to me by several friends, and I loved the work he did for them. So, I gave him a call, discussed my ideas and vision with him. He brought over the plans he had drawn up for the project, and I must say, I absolutely loved his creative design.

His vision far outweighed what I could envision for my home. His team is very professional, but most importantly, I just can't say enough about Mike's professionalism and his knowledge of landscape architecture. I will definitely use his company again.

Mike is professional and very knowledgeable. He immediately understood the aesthetic I wanted, and helped me pick plants that would achieve the look I wanted, but would grow well in zone 8 and keep my budget in check. His budgets are fair, and he abides by them, so there are no surprises. He sets and meets his work schedules, so the work is done when you planed it to be done. Also, he's a nice guy, and his team are professional and respectful.

Mike came in real landscaped our yard and laid our grass. Then tire time Mike's crew was extremely professional and courteous and They cleaned up at the end of every day. I have gone through a lot of landscapers throughout the years but I have a feeling with these results I will be using them again. I already have referred them to two friends and he's done a great job for them also.

Please do not use this landscaper! He never came close to finishing the job for us. We paid him $18,200 and gave him a brand new chandelier that we were not using and got practically nothing. He would not return our calls or show up to finish the job.

My experience with Mike Riley was horrible. It is coming up on a year and he has not completed our project. He speaks rudely to my husband and I. His work is not worth a nickel and he either lies about what he is going to do or he just doesn't bother to finish a project.

I would not hire Mike Riley to build a dog house in my backyard. It has been 11 months and he has not completed our project. There has been a pile of bags of concrete (now torn open) sitting on the side of our house for months.

I maintain and invest in a lot of properties, and part of the joy is making them oh so attractive to the eye! I am extremely selective when it comes to landscapers we work with, and this company totally impressed me.

Mike is great to work with. I highly recommend his landscaping services!

Mike and his crew are awesome. I randomly googled Dallas landscapers after some disappointing recommendations from friends, and his company came up. I called and he was at our house the next morning to chat, had sketches that afternoon, and he started our project the following day.
