Dealing with their interior resources division was worse than a divorce. Happy with the end result, but hated the process. They turned a six week bathroom and closet remodel into a nine-month nightmare. Changed subs so often no one knew what had been done or what to do. Lost numerous expensive plumbing parts. Claimed that agreed work was not included months after beginning. Changed the design without approval. Blamed me for everything they could. Stopped project before punch-list phase and insisted I pay retainage on unfinished work so I could claim a warranty fix. Then, Claimed aspects of the work not covered by the warranty because they didn't do it. Of many projects in six different states, this was by far the Worst construction experience ever! Run! Run! Run to anyone else!

Stay away from this company, really bad customer service, the final product it is a disaster, every thing they touched was not done correctly really a nightmare, the company ruined my marble back splash, the fooling, and the stairs leading to the second floor still not done, because they do not have the skill to comply with the city code, I gave them a chance to come back and fix the mess this company did to my house, but nothing, Rich the general manager is a man that does not stand behind his word, and is not to be trusted, do yourself a favor, go do business some place else.

It was a struggle to reach Joe and get my appointment set from the start. I had call the home office, speak with his boss to get a timely response. He set the appointment and the afternoon before my install he sent me a text message (didn't pick up the phone) to tell me the shipment had been damaged and they needed to reschedule. I rent my home and altered my rental schedule to accommodate the install appointment and then had to cancel booked renters to accommodate the reschedule.
That's two times lost income for me and when I asked how I would be compensated for the lost income he said "they don't offer discounts" The install went fine but that was the last I heard from Joe, no follow up to see how it went, nothing. It does't matter how nice your floor installation is if your sales reps are horrible at their job. I would never use this company again after dealing with Joe.

They tore the carpeting when stretching and covered it up. Now after a year we have a hole in the carpeting in the middle of our floor. We are now having to pay someone else to fix it. They also used roofing nails for our transitions. After complaining they redid it, but I still get stabbed from the tack strips that were not fixed. I would give 0 stars if possible.
The installers did not know what they were doing. The customer service person did help fix a few things, but they also told me I was slandering their company. I sent photos of the terrible work they did which resulted in a $200 discount and we still had multiple issues which were never fixed. They charged us the rest we owed them before fixing any issues and then stopped responding to us.

Top quality! Craig was so easy to work with, addressed all of my questions and concerns and made me feel incredibly confident and informed. The craftsmanship was top notch. I have an eye for detail and as a local realtor I see many homes. I have used star floors in my personal home and will continue to recommend them to clients and friends. You will not be disappointed!

Was contracted by Star Floors to complete work at 7 projects. Showed up on the scheduled day of installation to find multiple trades trying to work on top of one another. Once the project was cleared out enough for us to complete the work, they were behind schedule with the end user and tried blaming all the trades on the project. After the work was completed and invoiced Star Floors ignored all calls and emails for months to avoid paying their bill.
Finally got the attention of a J. Vargus who finally approved a short pay after 6 months of ignoring the companies that actually complete the work for them. I would NOT recommend any company working for Star Floors in any capacity due to poor scheduling, responsiveness, details, and the fact that they do not pay their bills.

Star Floors did an amazing job on my floors. Replaced the carpet in my guest room with hardwood. The entire process was well managed and professional from expert advice (Craig) when choosing the wood, to scheduling the job to the logistics of getting the floors done. Everyone on the team was polite and helpful and went the extra mile to do make this a great experience.

Todd is a man of character that has an uncanny ability to deliver significant amount of detail while driving out large picture goals and objectives. Damaged my property refused to pay. Used them as a resource for my other customers for over $100,000 of business wouldn't pay a $200 damage cost. Even tried to multiple bill for jobs. Won't use them for anything. Would recommend another vendor even for the Wolff appliances I used to specific on my projects. BUYER BEWARE!

They do quality work and have a great relationship with their vendors, this goes a long way in helping with any issues that may arise with flooring. Phil really knows how to help you make the right decision on what to use, he brings the samples to your house so we don't have to go see them in a showroom. It really makes a difference in the process of selecting carpet or another type of flooring! Thanks Phil!

I would have given 0 stars, but it would not take my review without at least one. I guess if your install goes correctly, they might be ok. Their customer service from the people who answer the phone all the way to the top are horrible, and inconsiderate. We had to have them back out several times to fix cracked tiles, grout issues and in fact they had to replace carpet in a room because of the wear in less than a year.
We then had another issue with grout and when we called them, they advised it was out of the one year warranty and if we wanted them to correct the issue, we would have to pay. We had another company come out and they advised that the grout was cracked so bad that they would have to run fans, which they did to dry it out before they could repair. It ended up costing us over $500 to fix a problem which Star Floors should have taken care of. I have never been treated so bad by any other company. Even their CEO was rude and disrepectful. Do not use this company for anything.

DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY WITH STARFLOORS. I'm not typically one for reporting bad business experiences, but with a price tag around $8,000, I'd love to keep others from wasting their money. Recently hired StarFloors (CR Chamber Member) to replace the carpet and tile in my home. The tile went in smoothly and the nightmare began. I'll save you all the details, but let's just say that a two-day job ran over two months, required nine visits, several no-call/no-shows, two misplaced product orders and a complete rework of the upstairs.
Their own contractors won't recommend working with them. Had to contact the corporate office to get things finished and they only offered amends at my request. They took $250 off my final order. Utterly ridiculous.

Stay away! These people were selected by my realtor and have done a terrible job! They are late, they said that they had the tile I selected and then didn't. During the job in a bathroom they broke the top to the toilet tank and then tried to hide it. They still aren't finished with the final piece of the job, vinyl flooring in a laundry room. I'm about to fire them, I'm sorry I didn't see this on Yelp before giving them the job! found out about these ripoff artists in less than ten seconds!

Unreliable, unresponsive, unprofessional! Do NOT hire this company! This company acted as general contractor for a home rehab, overcharged by well over 25% and work was poor, was not done in a timely manner, and they didn't bother responding to calls or emails and the work still has yet to be done! It's been weeks and weeks, and though they were quick to charge me, there is still no flooring installed and no one will answer as to when it might be done. Ridiculous.
The work that has been done looks terrible. How hard is it to paint a wall? We ended up having to do most of the work ourselves, even though we have them over $11,000! They are full of excuses when they graced me with a return phone call, but again, it's been over 6 weeks since we were charged without the work being done. The contractors were liars and nothing has been as promised.

Bad experience. Discussed the plan for a carpet patch with the main technician, but he sent a subcontractor who could not communicate in english. Due a misunderstanding, the wrong carpet type was selected, although a quick phone call could have cleared the confusion, since my mother was there but didn't know any difference.

I would have given them zero stars if it was a possibility. The salesman brought us one sample of different colors of carpet. It was difficult to compare, but looked better than the other samples I had received. The quote was incorrect and didn't include the matching edging for the vinyl and the company refused to fix the problem. We were told that installation would take 2 days.
In the end it took more than two months. Workmen used our garden tools without asking and cut the carpeting in our driveway. They also lied and said they talk to one of us to schedule the second time to come out and work on the carpet. After the second day, the workmanship was terrible. Carpet was not cut all the way to the wall. It was not rolled under where it should have been, and there were seams where there should not have had any.
The vinyl was not in a straight line, and roofing nails were used in the strips between vinyl and carpeting. The vinyl in the bathroom was caulked with bright white, though there is nothing in the bathroom which was white. They also damaged the woodwork and chipped paint in room which were painted just before carpet installation. Workmen came out a third time and were hurried by their owner, so he could catch their flight.
They wanted to come out again, but after the third attempt we refused to have them in our house again. They took off about 10% and charged us for balance of the job after the first attempt at installation without completing the job. They refused to wait for payment until it was done and did not reverse the charge. Overall, terrible quality product and workmanship.
