Old Texas Wood is owned by Lance Satterfield, who has been milling reclaimed wood into flooring since 1992. His business has expanded to serve customers around the country. Old Texas Wood is dedicated to preserving old lumber and flooring salvaged from sites in the North and East Texas areas. Antique wood is a rare and limited resource rich in character and historical charm.

Recycled wood is an environmentally responsible option for those concerned with preserving our cherished woodlands for generations to come. Most of our materials are salvaged from buildings constructed around the turn of the century, utilizing old growth lumber milled over a hundred years ago.

We have done a total of 4 total projects with Old Texas Wood. We usually deal with Lance and he has done a great job of taking care of us. All of our projects have used a mix of wider pine nailed flooring. We really like the character of the old nail holes. We have been pleasantly shocked at how little waste we have. With a repurposed product we would typically expect about 10 to 15% to be waste. Are waste on the product we get from Old Texas Wood is right at 2%. Awesome!

We have shared or opinions with several friends, and they have all had the same luck that we have seen. We are currently planning a 7K sq ft house and will be using Old Texas Wood for sure. They have always shipped on time, and even stayed late to help unload. This will be your best contractor/supplier that you have on your entire project!
