Norm's Door Service

I have attempted 3 times to obtain a copy of the maintenance work done on my 2 garage doors but to no luck. I called twice to make my request. I was told they would get back to me. You guessed it; they never called back! So I went to Norm's office directly. They gave flimsy excuse of changing computer systems, and I was one of the unlucky ones that got caught up in the system.

What a great response. All of this over a simple request for a copy of what work was completed. My only option is to take my business elsewhere. BE CAUTIOUS DOING BUSINESS WITH NORM'S DOOR

I call Norm's door service for absolutely anything regarding my garage door! This time it was the rubber gasket on the bottom that needed to be replaced. They came over in a very timely manner, replaced the gasket and serviced the door all over. They are the best!

Exceptional service & customer care. With remarkable response time. Technician was very courteous & fixed both tension springs & cables plus balanced the door. I will use Norms again & recommend! TYSM

I was able to schedule a service request online on a Saturday for a Monday appointment with no problems. The tech showed up within the time frame and quickly fixed my garage door. I would highly recommend them.

I would not recommend this company to anyone. My garage door was not operating properly. Turns out it was a very minor issue that the tech resolved in less than a minute. I was still charged 79 dollars. Disappointing

I have only called Norm's Door Service twice in the past five years. Both times the same technician came out. Jeff was very knowledgeable but also a fast worker and personable. He remembered his first visit four years earlier. After fixing my broken door, He took time to help me program my car's built in door openers. Their service is truly above and beyond the normal and I won't hesitate to call on them again.

Todd came out the same day I called asking for an estimate on new steel garage doors. The price was fair and he was able to have them installed for us within 10 days. They look great and I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for new doors.

I rarely leave reviews; however, I'm compelled to today. Norm's Door Service had the spring to replace available, was very professional, and didn't price gauge like the less than scrupulous guys down at A1 Garage Door Service (not sure how they are even in business). Use Norm's Door Service - you will not be disappointed

Very Happy with installation, I had the extension springs replaced with a torsion spring and a belt driven garage door opener installed. It's exceptionally quiet now and smooth going up and down instead of sounding like a freight train through the house. The price was reasonable and used them because they're location is close. I like to support local companies and urge others that need garage door repair to use Norms door service.

I would also like to give a Special Thank You to Mike H. for his good workmanship, he was very courteous and detailed how the new opener worked for me before he left. Also thanks to Todd for working with me on pricing. Overall a job well done at a reasonable price with a conscientious worker.!

When one of our garage door springs broke, other companies couldn't get replacement springs and couldn't help us. Norm's had the replacement springs we needed. They responded very quickly, were very polite and easy to work with, and very affordable. Great service!

I appreciate this company because they were responsive when I called. I had an appointment very quickly. The technician was on time, let me know when he was on the way, and handled my repair quickly. He explained what's was wrong. How he fixed it and broke down the overall bill. I would call on Norms again for sure.

Knowledgeable and personable service rep. He showed up as scheduled, discussed my repair options, replaced the electric eye sensors and was on his way in less than an hour. Also serviced and lubricated all the moving parts. The scheduling process on line was slick. I picked the day and the time one evening after typical business hours and received a response email shortly thereafter. Cost of the service very reasonable. Would highly recommend Norm's Door Service in Omaha, Nebraska.

I had the best experience with Norm's Door Service. I was looking to have a new garage door opener installed, and they were both affordable and could get to my house quickly. I called on a Monday and they were out, installing the opener on Tuesday the very next day! Their tech called to let me know they were heading out to my place so I'd know when to expect them.

He was friendly, professional, and went above and beyond. He made sure to program my remotes, teach me how to add additional products, and how to disengage the door in the event of a power outage. I would do business with Norm's Door Service again.

Overall, Norms did a good job. We broke our garage and they came out and got it working at no price. Which led us to choosing to go with them to get new doors. There were a couple hiccups. Needed to readjust doors and get new trim to fit around the doors but the trim wasn't their fault. I think if there was more upfront communication on those two issues they would have gotten 5 stars. I had to call to get statuses and mistakes were made but they're good people and made it right and price seemed fair. Thanks!

The initial gentleman who came out for the estimate was gracious and well mannered and went with the recommendation he suggested. They met the appointment time but the gentleman who installed it was rude and talked over my wife. The features and functions were not explained to her satisfaction. We than began experiencing phantom open and closes and yes in the middle of the night which also was scary and a safety hazard. Trying to get someone out to correct is challenging and the solution is to disconnect until they can make it out.

As my wife cant open the door with it disconnected and I am not there, this is a challenge with her trying to get to work. We have now had the opener for 2 days so brand new.

Had a broken spring. They came out same day and attached a device to keep it working, until a new spring was ordered (heavier spring for a heavier door). A few days ago, the same spring broke again (opposite side), and door slid partly off track. Called them again, and Dan sent someone out within 30 mins. They returned today and installed new springs, tuned it up, and gave lots of advice for longevity. VERY SATISFIED. Dan, again, thanks. Your guys are friendly, polite, knowledgeable and skilled. Will continue to do business with these folks.

Very disappointed with Norm's. Called them on a Sunday because my door wouldnt close. Power surge reset the door opener. It went off the track and the wire got all tangled up. Never showed up. Very disappointed. Called a competitor the following morning, showed up within 2 hours of calling. I wish I could give Norm's a zero.

Called on a Saturday. Got told it's a bunch extra for weekends. That's fine. I want my garage fixed. Was told someone would be there between 12 and 3. 3:00 comes and goes and nobody shows. Call their number and there is no answer. So, no one actually showed after making an appointment. Could have called another company had I known they wouldn't show, but instead I'm left with a still broken garage door, and several hours of wasted time waiting for them to show up. Too bad I can't give zero stars to this pathetic excuse of a company.

The response from Norm's is laughable. NO service was done on my garage door. The GPS may show that the tech was there for 28 minutes, but the majority of that time was spent talking to me or on the phone with the office. I do not fault the tech at all. He actually said "I feel bad for having to charge you for me spending 5 minutes on your garage door." I have several friends and family that run similar businesses (plumbing, electrical, etc.) and they all agree that this is not how you run a business if you want to keep customers.

My garage door would not go down. I think it was Jeff that came out. He quickly figured out I had a bad wire. He replaced it and programmed a new car door opener for me. I would recommend Norm's Door to anyone. Professional, courteous, and most competent!

Replaced two operators with Norm's top of the line recommended product (Liftmaster 8550). Installer showed up late without the necessary parts. Installer left reporting he would return with correct parts.

They certainly did not take care of us. They came out to look at a problem with our garage door. They charge us $88 and assured us they would call us back with a solution. Never a call back or return our calls

The company came out to my house three times within two weeks, the second and third times they brought the wrong size spring. They said they would call when the right size spring came in. They never called.

I would highly recommend using Norm's Door Service! We have used them several times over the years. We were able to get an appointment quickly and the service man was polite and efficient. Also, the price was certainly fair.

I was very happy with the service provided by this company. I ordered a new garage door and new garage door opener. It took a little longer than I expected for my order to come in, but they were quick to schedule a time to install it. My new garage door looks great and I would recommend this company to my friends and family.

I had a young man come out to fix my garage door. I had a broken spring on my double garage door and they were prompt and okay any charges before fixing the door. I thought that the price was right and was very impressed with the professional service I received.

I have used Norm's Door Service in the past and loved them. I don't know what has happened since. Called them because the garage door wouldn't close. Come to find out we had a broken spring. Norm's quoted us $500.00 to repair it. Had they stopped there we might have bought it but the serviceman then threw out that for $800.00 he would also put in a new door.

Our house is 4 years old and there is nothing wrong with the door whatsoever. This made my husband question the first estimate. He immediately called another door service, indicated the problem and was told it would be around $300-350. When my husband told Norm's serviceman he dropped the price to $400. My husband then called the service manager for Norm's who basically admitted the serviceman messed up. At that point who could trust them? Door repaired today by other service $209.

Norms Door Service, Inc. I have not needed your services often but for more than 15 years when i have needed your services you have always been available, responsive fair, and honest. Best of all, you have always fixed my door!
