I would suggest NOT using this company. I had been using them for the last 10 years as they installed my A/C. Something has change now and I will not ever use them again. I paid them $190 to come out and tell me what is wrong with my A/C. The outside fan motor stopped working. The problem is they gave me a quote for just replacing the motor, but you must also replace the fan blades and they did not tell me that information.
I only found that information after I had another company come out to replace the motor and fan. I asked for a $95 refund as they only told me half the information I was paying them to provide as part of the service call. I talked to the service manager (Melanie) and she said no refund would be given as they did come out and I would only been given all the information if I used them to do the work.
I feel like they are given out quotes for a lower price to get the work and then hitting people with more changes after the fact. The quote from them was $925 to replace just the motor but just fan blade part was $260. So the quote should have been $1,185 or more. I guess they did not want to give me the higher price up front.

The smoothest process I can recall in replacing a major home system. Patrick, Levi and Anthony were wonderful and installed an upgraded Carrier heat pump with the allergy and asthma features I need. Keep up with annual service and an emergency is unlikely until your unit gets old, but they will respond. I'm a repeat customer of many years with Bob Heinmiller. There is no reason to go anywhere else.

I live in a recently purchased home in the Lake Nona area of Orlando, Florida at the address I specified to BBB in filing this complaint. The house is a 2 story home with central airconditioning units to service both floors of my home. When my wife and I moved into the home built 8 years ago, we noticed the master bedroom located on the ground floor was perennially warmer than the rest of the main floor.
The bedroom was on average 3 degrees fahrenheit sometimes more than that at the family and kitchen where we spent most of our time. It was a big problem sleeping at night or during the day because of this. As I did not know enough of HVAC engineering go fix this problem myself, I engaged the services of this firm to find out what was the cause of the ptoblem and fix it for me.
The firm first sent a technician to my home in January to diagnose the problem and let me know what was needed to fix. After conferring by phone with his supervisor, he stated it was the lack of airflow going into the bedroom. He said the bedroom ducting should be increased to 8 inches. This would cost $900 I was told. For this visit I was charged over a hundred dollars. Based on these statements, I had the new ducts installed, not only by the technician with the help of the supervisor himself.
When they were done and were asking for payment, I noticed the invoice stated that smaller 7 inch ducting was installed instead. When asked why, the supervisor told me that he was worried that the bigger ducts could cause the bedroom to become colder than the main floor. He assured me that within the week, my problem would be fixed. I recorded the temperature differential readings from the thermostat during the week.
These I emailed to him. It did not help at all. He sent another technician to see what was going on. Due to this visit, he replaced the bedroom vent registers. All this did nothing to fix the problem. I want the firm to refund me the money I paid for them to fix my problem. I was told that a lot of improvements to the HVAC airflow in the room had been made.
Of course at my expense and none of which resulted in fixing or even alleviating the problem in the least. They refused to issue me a refund saying that many Florida houses suffered the same problem, that my bedroom airflow was now better. Should not a customer get a refund if a auto repair firm said his car would not start because his electrical system needed to be replaced and putting in a replacement one the car still does not start?
The same should be true with this firm. Postscript: I asked another HVAC firm who seemed to understand what they were doing. They said it was most likely my problem had nothing to do with bedroom airfow at all but that the upstairs airconditioning unit was set to a lower thermostat temperaturing setting. This firm did not even check this possibility AT ALL! I need the refund to hire this firm to fix my problem for me!

Bob Heinmiller replaced our AC system, they did a great job. The team was professional, clean and caring towards our house, they made sure to test everything before leaving to make sure it was working correctly. We have a zoning system that can be tricky sometimes but they got it right with no issues. Matthew visited our home in response to my request for an evaluation installing a house generator. The entire process from initial contact to a finished operating system was a pleasure. Amanda and Debbie handling phone calls and coordinating Seminole County inspections were outstanding, friendly, and informative. Used them previously twice before and was great. Unfortunately this past service I will never them again. Had a clear leak in the evaporator coil and asked the technician if it's worth putting in coolant based on the severity of the leak. He explained he was not sure (the reason I called him out). He then added refrigerant to our system, which lasted only 24 hours and come to find out was pretty dangerous and not approved by the EPA. Called back and told the lady the issue I had over the previous service and she said he added refrigerant, which is "environmentally safe." All in all, waste of a lot of money and put my family at risk and they showed no remorse.

I just had the very best experience with Bob Heinmiller Air Conditioning. It was only 4 days from the time I called their office to request someone to quote a new AC System, until it was installed and running. I was surprisingly pleased with the value they offered. After no satisfaction with other companies I called to have a problem with my generator fixed and was scheduled for the very next day! Robin turned up on time and quickly determined that the problem was not with my generator at all. He performed my yearly generator service and provided valuable advice on how to deal with the problem that I experience should it reoccur. I will definitely use this company for all of my air conditioning, electrical and stand-by generator needs in future.

Tried to find an emergency fix for a commercial facility. They were able to send a tech out, but when he arrived, he drove in an area marked for no car traffic, dropped a bunch of profane language and left after smarting off to a staff member. I called to ask for a supervisor and I have yet to receive a call back. The excuse from the driver that he gave his supervisor was "I had a family emergency". Nope, I think he just doesn't want to come back after how he acted. Unprofessional on all fronts from here and I would NEVER call them for any reason.

Completely unprofessional approach. Good luck scheduling appt with them. They scheduled a service for solar panel re-installation week and half out on Monday 8/17 8 -12 pm. I had explained them the situation with roof and solar panel re installation very clearly. I had also sent them pictures in email just to be more informative. They had given $xxxx estimate.
I was ok with that. On Friday 8/14, I got a call from their office for confirmation on appointment on Mon. So far so good. And then it goes downhill from that point. On Mon 8/17 at 9 am I get a call saying that they cannot make the appt. They scheduled me for next day 12-4pm. I was disappointed but ok. It happens. Then on Tue, nobody showed till 4:15 pm.
Then the guys who came had my wrong home address so they called me. They showed up at 4:45 pm. They had no idea that I needed solar panel re installation. We had Ben Heinmiller come out to look at our AC because we know a friend that works for the company. They came lookedcat the unit and told us what was wrong. The tech told us someone in the office would call us with a price. We have not gotten that call so my husband called the office just gave us the runner around after telling us it was over $800.00.
My husband agreed to have them still come out because the tech guy was cool and it wasn't his fault the office staff are idiot's. Well, they gave my husband the running around again so we canceled them and I called around Friday to see if we can get someone out here on Monday because we were going to out town Friday. I called Rinaldi's the lady on the phone was very polite and was able to get to us Monday morning, so the husband and I agreed to go with Rinaldi's.
It was our best decision we could have made. The communication alone was awesome. They called and told us when the tech would be here. we found out how much it was to fix on the spot. Other techs came back to fix the unit and the office was on the phone letting us know everytime the techs were coming. I definitely would recommend Rinald's and I would definitely used them again.
Especially when Ben Heinmiller was going to charge us over $800.00 for a piece that didn't even need to be changed. Rinaldi's fixed the problem and charged us about $300.00. Rinaldi's has awesome communication and the techs were great.

We had a leak in the wall coming from the AC handler in the attic. We called a competitor but they arrived late in the afternoon and wouldn't get out of the truck because it was raining. They said they would reschedule and somebody would call. The next day we called Heimiller at 9:30 to schedule an appointment and they had someone there by 11:00.
The technician was Nick and he took care of the problem quickly and also serviced and cleaned both air conditioning units. Hopefully I don't have to use them anytime soon but next time they will be my first call.

Well where shall I start without being too long I contracted this company about four years ago to put new AC in my house gave me a very nice price two guys showed up in the truck big truck with trash cans trash bags etc. they had to take a little piece of drywall off my wall about two or 3' x 8' took the drywall off and little pieces and threw it right on the carpeting even though they had trash cans and trash bags with them at the end after picking up the piece of drywall took a broom and vigorously swept the carpet to get it clean the whole house was full of dust the next day after installing the AC I went to climb in my attic and realize it installed the AC pipe that runs the Freon across my opening right in the Middle of my opening I don't know if they thought I was never going to need attic access I would never look or what.
Present day my AC went out at my rental unit I called Bob Heinmiller since they installed my AC at my house and had him come by to look at it the AC man Sean said oh your coil has a leak and show me a device it made a clicking noise that said was a leak detector he told me that the coil was ruined and that if they fixed it and repaired it no guarantee he recommended I buy a brand new unit and handler inside after four days of waiting I Call them up for the estimate that wasn't delivered to me the price was $3100 for a repair.$6000 for new unitWhich was recommended.
I ran into an AC guy in my neighborhood nice guy name Randy from Randys Ac I asked him what it would cost to come look at it he said free he came over gave me an estimate of $450 he also had to change the fan while I was there and charge me 550 total fan condenser recharge checked everything out great job thanks Randy anyhow been three weeks the AC is fine and ice cold you use your judgment on Bob Heinmiller

I paid over $5,000 in 2011 for a brand new Carrier System, and have had ongoing problems ever since. They are soaking me, and I get nothing but a runaround, and no solutions. The most recent problem is similar to all prior calls.system not cooling, but they find a different little part to replace each time. All parts are supposed to be under the 10 year warranty, but they invariably have charged $139 on three separate visits for parts, in addition to the outrageous labor cost.
I have made many calls to speak to the service manager, and he has only responded to one call. At that point he agreed that the parts are under warranty, but he needs to talk with someone else about giving me a credit. I was assured the most recent repair would be free of any charges, since the problem was not corrected on a prior visit. But the serviceman again invoiced me for another $139. Several calls to the office about this charge, are still unresolved.

Very frustrating that after 4 visits, $1200+.and several nights spent trying to sleep in the heat, our problem still isn't fixed. Most annoying is that I spent $200 on Friday and the air went out late evening on Saturday. When I called on Sunday, they said they wouldn't come out without first collecting $150 more for the "after hours service call". Seriously!
They would not give me the owners phone number but said to try him Monday am - after another nigh spent in summer heat. The $150 weekend service call will no longer be an issue on Monday.but our problem won't be solved for tonight. I'll get this resolved, and then find another company.

Absolutely would not recommend. Prices were DOUBLE of any competitor. Called their office first thing in the morning and put the order in. Called back hours later to check on the status, only to find out our call wasn't even put in the system. Charged $115 to come out for 5 minutes and tell us what we already knew with no work being done. Couldn't get a call back with a quote on labor/parts price until the end of the day (even after calling asking if they had the quote yet).
Thank goodness we had already found a competitor that was HALF their quoted price and already at our house replacing the part by the time they finally called back. Very disappointed and wish I could get my $115 back.

Two days of appointment windows, two no call, no shows as far as I can tell. I call back and am told that the tech was there at the beginning of the window for 5 minutes and he called and left a message. He DID NOT call the number they were given to actually reach anyone. Meanwhile, my almost 80 year old mother has to stay elsewhere and I am out 6 hours of work waiting for a call that never came.

I can understand stress during a tough time but not rudeness and poor respect for a customer's issue. My daughter had the company do diagnostics on a generator when she moved into her house a few weeks ago, and apparently all the person did was "check the oil". The generator was not checked to be in working condition and apparently what it needed was fuel.
Just moving in, when she called she asked what needed to be done on her end to assure the diagnostics test could take place and was told there was nothing she needed to do. Granted if there was not fuel (which it needed propane), a diagnostic test could not be properly run, but the technician spent 90 minutes at that address per the company's dispatch and apparently did nothing significant to run diagnostics.
When she called to ask about this she was met with an extremely rude reception that apparently she learned a lesson about generators. There is a point there, but she also learned something else. She learn how dishonest and disrespectful this company is. If this is how they do business, you should find another vendor to do AC work for you. They should probably get negative stars, but that is not possible. So I guess 1 star should do. The person did show up.

If I could rate less than 1 star I would. Don't waste your time trying to reach this company for an emergency A/C call. They may say 24/7 service, but their techs don't actually respond 24/7. After the 3rd call in 3 hours their call center/dispatch person told me to "do right by family" and call someone else. Just ridiculous!

DO NOT USE THIS COMANY! After 3 service calls, our a/c unit is still freezing up and not working. 2 different techs have "topped off" coolant without looking for a leak. Going on 6 days without a/c in the summer in central Florida. Kicking myself for not moving on quicker. 24 hour service is BS.tech never calls back or shows up.

If you love incompetence with a side helping of arrogance, this is your company. Thank God this guy isn't an airline pilot, or the runways would be littered with dead bodies.

$254 FOR A 20 MINUTE SERVICE CALL BAD EXPERIENCE WITH BOB HEINMILLER A/C IN ORLANDO We've used them for 6 years, including installation of a new system. Their service has always been good, although sometimes seemed a little costly. This time we were charged $254 for a 20 minute service call, which they subsequently reduced to $193, saying it had been a mistake. $200 for 20 minutes still seems unreasonable to me, so after getting nowhere with them, I sent a very professional email to the President/owner.
Instead of responding, he had the girl that answers the phone call me back and tell me that they would not make any further adjustment to the invoice. They clearly made me feel that they do not appreciate our business, or our 6 year history with them.

Outstanding service! I have used this company for heating and cooling maintenence and replacement. I had an opportunity to use their electric service and received the same fast professional service. The gentleman was able to diagnose the source of my electrical problem guickly. In no time I had service restored. In addition he gave me some useful information about lights in my bathrooms concerning sensors I did not know I even had and bulb size that were very helpful. Great sevice at a fair price.

I have used Bob Heinmiller for years on my own residence, and I have referred them to my customers needing AC services too. Just yesterday they came out to my home to do the annual service, and the condensate line broke off at the unit. When the builder's AC company installed it originally they glued the line in place, and Bill from Heinmiller was afraid they would have to replace the whole pan.
He called into the office and they sent out their most senior technician who was able to remove the glued-in section of pipe, and I was able to avoid replacing the costly pan. I asked how much the replacement would have been, if he had not come out and made that extra effort. He told me it would have been about $700 for the part and labor. I think that is all you need to know about Bob Heinmiller's AC. By the way, there was no extra charge for sending out the second technician.

We purchased a complete new Lennox system a few years back. Our house didn't have good air flow to the bedrooms so we paid to have the ducts redone to correct the problem. The salesman at the time was a mechanical PE so I had some confidence in the installation. We opted for the extended warranty and the best air filter to help with allergies.
They added vents and ran new duct work. We paid over $10,000 to install a 3 ton unit and ended up with a wind tunnel in some rooms and hot spots in others. The master bedroom is 4 degrees off from the rest of the house and the new vent over the bed sounds like a wind storm in the middle of the night. We've never seen the energy savings that we were told about, probably due to the temperature imbalance.
They installed the wrong grilles in some places because they didn't have the right ones on the truck. Over time I have spoken with Bob Heinmiller A/C several times. At a home show and by phone. They say that the sales guy that sold us our system made all kinds of mistakes and they would make it right. I have been referred to the service manager more than once and he calls me and tells me that he's going to round up the parts and come make it right. He's going to call me in a few days when he gets the right grills in. Well, you guessed it, the call never comes.
My calls were never returned. I've pretty much given up on getting them to make the installation right. I'll end up paying someone else to fix it. I hope they do a better job of honoring the extended warranty that we purchased from them if we ever need it. I wll say the Lennox equipment is decent. We have had any problems and it will blow cold air all day long and then some. Use these guys at your own risk. I wish I had chosen another contractor.
