I would highly recommend Whipple Plumbing. Max Gunderson did an amazing job fixing two clogged drains in my house. He was very professional, examined the pipes in my crawl space before starting, and was very transparent and informative about what I could expect each step of the way. It was very fast, and everything is working beautifully now. Pricing was much better than expected.
He was able to unclog two drains for $75 total, while a competitor bid $674.00 for the exact same service earlier in the day. Max, thank you for making my house work again! And John Alvarez, thank you for referring me to Whipple, I won't go anywhere else going forward!

I started by communicating that the unit was currently flooding and asked if they had someone who could come on an emergency basis. Her answer was "yeah, we can help you out". After wasting important time taking all of the information, she advised that someone would come, but they couldn't give a timeframe. But, they would call 30 minutes before. That information up front would have avoided me wasting precious time! I don't need someone at 6 am, I need someone in the next hour or two!

Called them out on a Friday night to diagnose a Goodman air conditioning system. They diagnosed as a bad blower motor, and I agreed to have that replaced for over 1400 dollars. Bad on me for accepting that price. Then they told me that I had to replace the control board for another 1100 dollars and they would recommend replacing the entire system for 9k. Scam artists.
They replaced blower motor and it went out a week later, claiming it was the control board. So I replaced the control board and now they are claiming that they can't replace the blower motor under their 2 year guarantee even though it smelled like it was burning when the tech put it in. He (the tech) asked me if I smelled the burning smell, I replied with yes that isn't normal, he said it wasn't normal and then said it should go away with in a few days.
So I'm really frustrated. Lost a bunch of money and time and still have to use another company. I highly doubt they will make it right after reading all of the negative reviews on this company. 10/10 do not recommend.

If you've been wondering if good people exist anymore, they do and one of them works at Whipple named John Alvarez. When my nearly new water heater wasn't working I really just wanted to cry. Whipple's service was great, they got me scheduled the same day and always answered and had updates every time I called. John arrived after 5pm so I'm sure he'd already had a long day.
He was friendly, courteous and very knowledgeable. He explained everything and all my options, when he saw those stressed me out he said there was one more thing he could try and it worked! He could have easily put me off a day waiting for parts, but he went above and beyond and I am so grateful! Thanks to John and his super strength; I'm breathing a big sigh of relief and have hot water again, what a great experience, thank you!

If you want a great deal ask them to send Chase out. He went straight to Whipple the owner to get me a fantastic deal on a Carrier high efficiency furnace and AC with heat pump. With my solar panels I doubt I will ever have a power bill again. Thanks Whipple for coming through for me. I will be calling you first for all my other needs that you can offer.

Paul was a lifesaver for us! He came early on a Sunday morning, and instead of installing a new blower motor that we didn't need, he rechecked the system and found the thermostat was bad. He saved us thousands of dollars, fixed our system much more quickly, and was both extremely professional and friendly. If he is an example of the kind of service Whipple provides, I would absolutely recommend them to anyone else.

We had them install a sump pump for us back in 2017 for 2500 dollars after they were done installing it they said it came with a 10 year warranty. Well today it went out on us so I called them to let them know that our sump pump went out and that it had a 10 year warranty on it. The lady that I spoke with said ok we will send someone out to take a look at it.
Well today I got a call from them and the lady told me that it only came with a 3 year warranty and that it would be 69 dollars to have someone come and look at it. I told her that i was lied to by them and that I will never be useing them again for anything. She did not seam to care. So I will go with someone else that does not lie to me about warrantys.

When trying to get an estimate to replace a toilet, the dispatcher wouldn't even give me a ballpark estimate on how much I should expect. He would also only give me a window of 8am to 4pm for the technician to arrive with a 30 minute notification. Luckily I didn't have plans that day or it would have been extremely inconvenient to rush home in 30 minutes or less.
I had the toilet on hand so I wasn't purchasing a new one, just a straight replacement on a ground floor bathroom. The Technician showed up, was very nice, courteous, and professional, so no problems at all with him. He was great. Then came the quote. even with me supplying the toilet, the company pricing to replace the toilet was over $550 and to change out the guts in the tank would be another $450+.
I understand that plumbers need to have a livable wage, but since no parts were being purchased, that's $500 an hour if it took 2 hours to do. Butbit's a toilet and not a very technical repair, so I can't imagine it would take the Tech more than one hour as that's how long it normally takes me, who knows very little about plumbing. Instead I still had to pay the service charge for the 5 minutes the Tech was there.
I feel that I could have been given a general estimate to save us both some time and had been given a smaller window of when the Technician was to be expected. You will never have my business or anyone that asks me until you make some more accommodating changes and lower your prices to something more reasonable.

Received a mailer from Whipple about 2 weeks ago advising it would be a good time to schedule a tune up for my AC unit. Made the appointment promptly to make sure I got a spot before the weather turned hot. Well, the weather turned hot this week and whipple called me the day before my appointment saying they had more important customers and issues to deal with.
And moved my appointment 3 weeks out. Do not use this company if you need service to be done on time when you have made an appointment. Very disappointed in the service level of this company.

I am severely dissatisfied with their service. A week ago I decided to be proactive and have a service tech come check out the air-conditioning unit at my house. The exterior unit wasn't turning on (the fan on the heater was operating normally) but the A/C unit wasn't responding. I saw an advertisement by Whipple for a $27 A/c tune up, so I scheduled an appointment.
I was hoping to be there when the rep came to service the unit, but was not able to leave work when notified when the rep would be arriving. My wife works from home, and was there when the rep arrived, but wasn't able to leave her home work station to watch him. Their rep M**** I***** (redacted) arrived, and when he finished tuning up our system, our heater was no longer operative.
He said he had a fuse that kept popping and he had to replace it three times. He also claimed that the cost of each fuse was $100 and that it came out of his pocket. He claimed our A/C was leaking, our heaters circuit board needed replacing, that my system was 16 years old, and that this was just the basic repairs needed to see if our system was even recoverable.
All the basics needed just to test my system would cost around $3000.00. My wife insisted on paying for the fuses as they came out of his pay - he settled on her paying for one. The $27 tune up cost us $170 dollars. I was on speaker phone at the time of his discussing what was wrong with my heater and A/C system, and listened to him discuss the cost of the fuses and payment with my wife.
After I returned home, I reviewed the fuse that was replaced - and discovered it is a dollar fuse. I had another company (Absolute Air) come out and give a free second opinion. My system was installed in 2019 - and possibly still covered under the manufacturer warranty. There is no leak in the A/C, the circuit board is fine, and all that was needing to be replaced was the low voltage wire from the A/C unit to the heater.
So either the rep Whipple sent is completely incompetent or was scamming my wife because she was a woman, home alone, that didn't understand the situation. Or is it possibly both? Do their techs bait and switch with a $27 tune up and list bogus repairs? If there were repairs to be made during servicing, any cost of these items should have been discussed before anything was worked on, as the price agreed upon prior to servicing was the $27 tune up. Whipple charged $100 for a fuse to be replaced. That's astronomical.
I can only imagine the price gouging that is occurring on other high dollar repairs. Whipple sent me several texts asking how their tech's service was, I emailed their office with pictures of invoices, my second opinion, pic of the cost of the fuses online - Whipple didn't reply. They don't seem to care. I recommend going with Absolute Air - their rep was honest and competent.

We are extremely impressed with Daniel Smith, who visited our home for a complementary consultation and estimate. He has a genuine down-to-earth, warm, friendly, humorous personality and was very knowledgeable and informative. It's obvious why Kent Whipple, President/CEO of Whipple Service Champions has this man out in front as the face of his company.
His Tennessee accent, personable nature, inspiring stories, professionalism, and open candor about specific events, conversations and decisions made by company leaders engendered in us a great confidence in the company and the ethical foundation upon which it has been built and from which it has flourished. Thank you Daniel for visiting us, befriending us, fighting for us in making the greatest deal possible, and taking such great care of us.

First time I called Whipple I made an appointment to have 2 new toilets installed in my house. After 3 times of making an appointment and having them cancel with me I finally complained, and they came and got the service done at a discount. I ended up using them for later services in getting a water heater and a new furnace/AC unit. At this point they made sure they came right over and got the job done, even installing the new furnace on a Sunday.
They were more expensive than other companies, but they do have a great warranty on their products. I signed up for their club membership and all was good. The problems have come as soon as I tried to get help with any minor service. They would make the appointment and again would call the morning of the appointment to cancel using any number of excuses.
I have had this happen to me a total of 7 times. It has become obvious that if your spending money with them they are great but if you need a minor service done you get put on the back burner and only get help if something bigger doesn't come up. No more for this guy! I cancelled my membership and will never use them again unless it is a warranty issue with the water heater or furnace. I guess there really is something to another company saying, "No job is too small"!

James B was awesome! He clearly explained the status of our house's electrical system, detailed the options to address the issues that need updating, never pressured me to take the most expensive route, gave me alternatives, and immediately went to work on the items that did not need permits. Honest and trustworthy. He did a great job rejuvenating our electric panel as well as repairing the wiring in a light switch. He was also respectful and thoughtful (wore his mask and shoe covers), and cleaned up after himself. Knowledgeable and a people person.

. Chris K arrived on time and was very courteous and helpful. He did a great job unclogging a drain for me at a rental property. Whipple service specials are amazing. Sometimes their extra services seem a little high priced but I felt no pressure or guilt trips from the technician like I have with other companies. I have a dozen rentals and Whipple service champions is at the top my call list! Thanks again!

Jared was polite, courteous and professional. He was wearing a mask and observed proper safety precautions something important to me due to 2 immune compromised adults in the household. Jared took care of the drain quickly and efficiently. He recommended a clean up service for the standing water in the bathroom and 5 feet of carpet that was wet. I was pleased with the Whipple service and expected the same from the company they recommended for clean up, however, three young men showed up unmasked and not observing safety protocols.
They wanted to charge me $6,400 for cleaning a 5 foot section of carpet and removal of water from a 4'x5' bathroom floor. They wanted to rip up floors, walls and carpeting for 5 days to let it all dry. They kept pushing me to call my homeowners insurance and get them to pay for it. And I mean PUSHING. I rejected their offer primarily because they did not observe COVID safety protocols.
It gave me an uneasy feeling about using Whipple again. Are they getting a share of the exorbitant prices my insurance company is going to pay? Is it Mr. Whipple's son-in-law? Just didn't feel right after the great service I f received from Whipple. Don't know the name of the company. The name on their truck was FIX but I couldn't Google them.

We had a good experience the first time with Whipple. We had them come fix our furnace that wasn't working, , it was quick and painless and cheap. but then. We asked Whipple to come look at our clog and they tried to hassle my mother-in-law to spend 18,000 to replace ALL of the plumbing in our house because of rust. 1. Our pipes are not covered, the basement is unfinished, so this is a HUGE price to replace some pipes that you are in front of your face.
There was not a lot of construction needed to replace the pipes. 2. We got a quote from someone else who has worked with other members of our family, (WHO ARE CONTRACTORS) they said no need to replace anything, if they had to replace all pipes that had rust they would have to replace every pipe in house they see daily. and they fixed the clog for $200 the next day.
Do not call Whipple, they will try to sell to you that you need to replace everything. And from the looks of it in their reviews, we were not the only ones that they did this to. We will not be calling them again.

I feel completely ripped off! $13 Thermocouple and 30 minutes of work cost me $446.00 and that was with my Club Membership saving me $79 and almost having to pay an extra $69 in after hours pricing. I get paying a professional but $433.00 for 30 minutes of work on a $13 part is a complete scam! I hate being a single lady calling repair companies, I'm actually very handy around the house but that doesn't seem to matter when people feel like they can rip you off because your a girl.
I called Whipple to see how much they would charge to replace my Thermocouple and of course they wouldn't give me any pricing over the phone and if I want them to come out the same day it would be after hours and it would cost me an extra $69. I asked them to put me on a list so if someone finished up early and could come over before so I wouldn't get stuck paying the additional $69.
They were able to come out earlier so I didn't have to pay the extra, I feel like after hours pricing should be for situations like me having them come out Sunday night at 9:00pm when the pilot light stopped working. So the guy comes in and sure enough it's the Thermocouple that needs to be replaced. It took the guy 30 minutes to fix it with the $13 part and then charged me $446.00.
But as the guy said "Well you have to have hot water, right!" I know the Thermocouple is a coper wire and knew they weren't very expensive so I google it to see how much the part and labor should have been. Everything I could find said to replace it was anywhere from $150-$250. High was half of what I was charged and most were at the low end at $150.
I have used Whipple many times in years pasted but I will be calling someone else next time! The last 2 times I felt like I was being ripped off. What a scam! Is this why they won't give you an idea on pricing over the phone they want to trap you in waiting and paying for them to come out, then rip you off! Because your trapped and "Well you need hot water, right?" They have forgotten how to treat their loyal customers and Club Members.

They replaced a cartridge in a tub faucet and charged me $569.00 They did not email the receipt they promised. They did not follow the "Covid Checklist" that hey said they completed and signed off on. - No mask and no social distancing. They had to reschedule from our original appt time and it was a week later. We had used Whipple before and will not use them again. The price is outrageous.

I should have known when they said that they would be able to come and "diagnose" any other problems and have all the equipment on their trucks for any problem that they were going to try to screw me over. And yes, they came. Late, but they came. Then they wanted to charge $1900.00 (but don't worry, that could go towards the $6000.00 job they really wanted to do).
I have had the sewer line augured before and he refused to just auger it. Use them if you want to be seriously upcharged and have suddenly more problems than you ever imagined.

I was looking for a new furnace. It was the holiday season, but three other companies were able to send personnel to create an estimate the same or next day of my request. Whipple requested a 5-day delay, due to the holiday. The day of the scheduled appointment I received a call from Whipple, reminding of the appointment and the person indicated that "they might be able" to have someone at my home later than the previously scheduled window of time.
They were also very insistent that "all decision makers be present" for their 90-minute presentation. After hanging up I decided that I wouldn't bother with Whipple so I called back the number that had called me. That call was transferred to another number with a voice mail where I left a message. Then I called another number from their website, heard a Whipple recording, and then was on hold for a long time.
I finally found another number for them, called it, got the same recording and the same hold. During this time I used the website to send an email to cancel the appointment, and then used the chat function. By then I'd been on hold on the 3rd call for nearly 4 minutes. I identified myself to the chat person, told them to cancel my appointment, they said they would take care of it.
Then the estimator showed up anyway. This level of service - delayed response, unable to get through by phone, failure to honor my request to cancel the appointment - how must they be to service equipment if they're this poorly equipped to consider selling it?

Marco is fantastic - professional, knowledgeable, clean and friendly. He installed 3 toilets and checked our main line in half a day. I would've given 5 stars except Whipple rescheduled us 3 times. Then again, that might show they're simply having growing pains. Overall, they were great. Service: Installation

The technician from Whipple could not have been nicer. The quote he provided was ridiculous. We were looking to replace a 50 gallon hot water tank and were Quoted $3800. Looking at Lowe's I can get a tank for between 500-800 dollars, meaning they were going to charge me $3000 for The install. Being clean cut and polite does not justify this type of price. I understand prices are going up but this is ridiculous.

A Tale of Two Services 20 year old furnace started acting out on Thursday, wouldn't work at all by that afternoon. Whipple came out Friday morning. (Overnight low of about 20). After Whipple said I needed a new system, I decided to have another place also come to offer a quote. Whipple: The system is shot. This bolt broke loose, bounced around and broke other stuff. It's hard to get parts for this type anymore, so you would end up spending $1200 to 1500 to fix it.
This is a 20-year-old system, and they usually last about 15. If you like, one of our sales guys can come out later to get some info and give you a quote. (My wife agreed that we need to replace, but asked specifically if they could got it running since it's so cold.) Nope, not without spending 1,200 to 1,500. Other HVAC company: Oh, here's what's wrong.
Let me fix that. (Fixes in about 5 minutes by replacing a bolt.) The bolt did break off, and did some damage, so you will need to replace the system, but at least now you've got heat. (High of 31 today, anticipated low of 14 tonight.) Whipple: A low efficiency should run about $5k+, or you could go with the high efficiency for more like 6-8k.
Those high efficiency are sure nice. Other: Low efficiency should run about 3,000 to 3,500. High efficiency will be more like $5000. The way your venting is set up, the lower is probably a better fit, plus if you're not sure how long you'll be in the home, that might be the way to go. Whipple: Did you want to do AC too? (No.) Because your AC is 11 years old, and they only last 10-15 years, so it's toward the end of its life.
And if we don't replace it, it cuts the warranty on your furnace in half. That's industry standard. The AC's coils are right above the furnace, and if they freeze up, they'll drip water down on your furnace. I've seen brand new furnaces get ruined that way. That's why the warranty is shortened, since that tends to happen. Other: How old is your AC? (11 years.) Oh, yeah, it's still got some good years left.
You won't want to replace that yet. Whipple: Did you want to talk about financing? No? Well, let me crunch some of these numbers and get back to you with a bid. If you wanted to do that, we could get that install going tomorrow, but it's really busy, and slots fill up, so you might not want to wait. Other: Let me do some checking on prices, but since you've got heat now, you can take some time to decide. I mean, I could, but at this point I've already decided.
This is a 20-year-old system, and they usually last about 15. If you like, one of our sales guys can come out later to get some info and give you a quote. I called Whipple at 8:15am and they got to my house around 3:00pm. The technician was in my basement for approximately 10-15 minutes and then told us he unable to clear the line. He told us he had talked to his manager and that he would need to cut out a section of our pipe to clear the blockage at the cost of $5,000. I told him that was not in my price range.
He then told me that he could possibly jet the pipe at the cost of $1,000. I told him no thanks. He explained that he could do in house financing with interest free. We declined. He didn't charge us because he failed to clear the line. I believe the only thing he did was empty out the sink. I didn't hear any sound of trying to clear the line unlike the company that came in today and actually cleared the blockage in 10 minutes! Please stay away from this company. They don't care anything about you! They just want to make money on useless repairs!

Had a great experience with James and Brian. They were on schedule, friendly and offered a couple good options. Ended up adding a complex electrical box and ran power to the garage for a car charger. They cleaned up so well, I couldn't even tell they were there. Price was a great value for the work they did. I will be recommending. Nice work guys.

I had a generator installed by Todd, Chris and Christian. They did a thorough job in one day. I was very impressed with their hard work in the midst of a storm. I loved how I signed the contract on a Thursday and my generator was installed on a Monday. The power has gone out once since we installed the generator and it works perfectly. Thanks to Whipple Service Champions and Todd, Chris and Christian on a job well done. I appreciate your efforts so much. I'm grateful for your professionalism.

I tried to be proactive and have my furnace serviced. I called them 3 weeks ago and made an appt for Oct. 5th. The day before they called asking to reschedule to which I agreed. It was rescheduled for Oct 14th. They call me today, Oct 13th, wanting to reschedule for Dec 30th! Really? I would say this company has poor customer service! I will NEVER use them nor would I ever recommend them to ANYONE!

It took three tries to get a service man to come to my house to remove and install a new kitchen faucet. He charged me $300.00 for the job that took about 2 hours. I mailed in your $50.00 discount card to be applied to the service rendered. No one has responded. Your (Service Champions) are not to be recommended to anyone.

Our A/C unit stopped working a few days ago, so we called whipple to have them come out and figure out what was wrong. We've only had our house for 3 years and they were telling us that we had to replace our whole System. Which was going to cost 7,000-12,000. We were very confused with this diagnostic, so we decided to get a second opinion. The only thing that was wrong with our system was that we blew a breaker and had to replace it and now it's working just fine.
We almost got hustled into spending thousands of dollars for something that was under $100 dollars. It's honestly sick to me that a company would try to take advantage of people just to line their pockets. So disgusted by Whipple.

We hired Whipple to come out and clear a floor drain that was backing up. They came out and immediately told me that after they cleared the drain that now it was backing up into the rest of the house and told us that we had to do a hydro flush to clear out the drains. I agreed to have it done and they required me to sign for the addition in cost before doing it which was now $1,400.
The guy shows up and starts to do the flush. They ended without showing me any video or pictures and miraculously there was now a clear out cap in the middle of the sewer drain that they said they would not be able to remove, and that we could not use any of our drains until we dug up the yard and replaced the sewer lines which was going to be an additional $2,500.
They made me pay them the $1,400 which they actually created the issue with the cap and made a bigger mess. I had another plumber come out and guess what for $200 and about 20 minutes they flushed the drain out and said the cap flushed out super easy but it seems like it was newly down there. I called Whipple and said I wanted a refund because they created the bigger issue and they said a manager would call me back to discuss, they had the tech call me to try to convince me they did what they could and the charge was fair.
I again said I want a manger to call me, they never did. I disputed it with my credit card company and Whipple fought it and said I signed for the service. DO NOT use this garbage company, they will lie to you, they will steal from you and they will keep your money even if they don't actually do anything. Most likely they will create a bigger issue and then charge you to fix their issue! RUN FROM THIS "FAMILY OWNED LOCAL COMPANY"

Constantly rescheduling, dont stand behind their warranty. had a main water line repair done. Within a year it was leaking badly ($300+ water bills). When they came out they tried to blame it on the city and leave but luckily my city came out quickly and inspected it before the tech left. come to find out they hooked into the existing line about 3. ft away from the meter rather then "from the meter to your home" like they quoted me and the existing portion was the part leaking.
It leaked badly enough my meter box and stop and waste valve dropped by 6-8 in from the water. That in turn pulled the new lines they installed towards the meter which broke the sprinkler line where it connected to my sprinkler box next to the house. This year we discovered they just left the lines where they settled now 6-8 in deeper then they were installed and now my key doesnt reach my stop and waste valve. They refuse to fix it. Warranty my butt.

Service? They might have to look that up in the dictionary. I scheduled to have a toilet installed on a Friday. I took the day off to be there, then Friday morning they call and say they are too busy and want to reschedule for next week. I told them there is no one home during business hours. They said they could come on Saturday so I said fine. Saturday morning I get a call saying they are too busy and want to reschedule during the week.
Same response from me. They rescheduled for the following Saturday. That Saturday the technician arrived on schedule but he said that they quoted me the wrong price and the toilet I ordered was $100 more. Classic Bait and Switch. I told him fine I have a coupon for $100 off any service which has printed on it expires 8-31-2021. He said that the coupon is not valid for their special. What Special? Of course there is no one in management to talk to on a Saturday. Worse customer service I have ever seen

We had an old toilet that always smelled no matter how hard I would clean it and constantly giving us problems. They came in and turned out there was a bigger issue going on and they came in and did the work for a decent price and replaced the toilet within an hour. The technician followed all safety guidelines and was super friendly I appreciated Royal Scott's work!

Please Read Carefully! Do your Research and always get a second quote! Our HVAC stopped working. Currently in the midst of low pressure making things very low in temperature. House temp was sitting around 50ish degrees in the morning getting up to 60 in the late afternoon. We had Whipple to come and inspect our equipment, they had informed us that the machine had met its life expectancy.
The equipment was installed in 2010. After their inspection they told us the machine is no longer working and that they could put a $2000 dollar adhesive cover on and have it, most likely, fail in 2 to 3 years and do this over and over or just bite the bullet and replace the entire system. With "fancy graphs/charts" indicating life expectancy of a HVAC system it had met its end. However, the graph did not say for what model or what kind of equipment.
Their advice was to buy new equipment including an air conditioner which they never inspected but were convinced it also need to be replaced. Their ever fast paced "non sales team" quickly jumped in, reassuring us they were not sales people, RED FLAG 1. If someone is presenting you cost they are sales people regardless of what they say. By early next morning and after talking with "the non sales person representive" there was a creation of unnecessary high pressure that made us need to move now because they were ready to go, and install today only at a certain time or it would be a while when they could be back to install.
Again temps were cold and we were getting desperate to be warm. The Best part was the new HVAC system can be installed today at the very affordable and low cost of $15,000. RED FLAG, number 2! (If you do any quick google search High End equipment and installation barely meets that number) After talking prices, the "non sales person" calls the boss who is the lead sales manager.odd, very odd.
To discuss best offers. After "precision negotiating", the "non sales team" was ready to bring the offer down to $12,00 and because they weren't sales people they threw in a few extra perks, because true sales people never say but wait there is more, if you want to act now. RED FLAG 3. After we told the sales team(clearly at this point we can all agree that they were in fact a sales team), we need to sit on this and think about it and not just jump into this one, a.k.a. making sure we are not getting the rug pulled out from under us.
The Non sales person needed to take a picture for their records and numbers they offered. Red Flag D or 4 for those who may be keeping track. If they are offering the same fair price to everyone, why would they need to take a picture of it.a little odd. We called some family and friends and asked for any recommendations. Surprisingly, Whipple was more disliked than what they lead on.
In an hour, we had the wonderful team at Aire-Flo Heating & Air Conditioning, say, "Wait, what? That does not make sense if your system was installed in 2010 you should be getting at least 10 more years out of it". RED FLAG E or 5 for Whipple! And for the amazing low price of 80 dollars and 30 mins of our time. Our house is getting toasty, as I write this. TL:DR (TL:DR stand for to long did not read the entire thing) Whipple tried to upsell us for a new system of $15K on a no longer working HVAC system.
When Aire-Flo Heating & Air Conditioning came in, gave us 10 more years on our HVAC for nothing and replaced one part $80 and only 30 mins and now, we are sitting cozy and warm.

Don't bother trying to get a quote from this company. They have just a receptionist answering the phone. Tried multiple times to just get an appointment for an estimate and after 3 business days, I still have yet to get a call back. Gave 2 stars cause the receptionist was nice and tried her best to get a hold of someone in scheduling. All other places I called first try could give me an estimate appointment.

I will never, ever, ever use this company! When I called to make an appointment to get a quote for a water softener I was told they wouldn't come unless my husband was there because a woman can't make this big of a purchase without her husbands permission. Misogyny will not be tolerated in my home! My husband's work schedule is such that he can't be home during the day. Mine is more flexible. We found another company who would listen to a female without being condescending, and spent out money there.

Unfortunately Whipple lost my business before they even set food through the door. After a half hour hold time I made an appointment for Saturday between 8-12. Waited all morning and heard nothing. Finally at 12:30 I called, was told she would check into and call back. At 1:00 I got a call back asking to reschedule for between 3-6PM. So I cancelled and will be finding someone else. Look, I understand that things happen and jobs take longer.
It was the lack of communication for me. Definitely not the "five star service" they claim to be about. I should've checked here first because it looks like they're ratings aren't the best.

Had Whipple out for a pre-winter check of our furnaces. Jimmy did a fantastic job, took his time to explain what he had found during his inspection, and answered all or questions. Jimmy looked very professional and wore mask and shoe coverings in our house. We have been very impressed, and will be using Whipple for all our HVAC and plumbing needs. Our experience today was consistent with the great service we had received before for a plumbing repair and a water heater check up.

This was an awful experience and I highly recommend anyone to shop elsewhere. Back story: I set my thermostat at 70 degrees and it was 75 when I came home. I noticed that the air was blowing half of what it normally pushes out. Concerned, I called their 24 hour line and the person I spoke with didn't seem to know the rates, couldn't schedule an appointment, but to tell me to call back during regular business hours.
How is this a 24/7 company of I need to call back at 8am? 830am comes and someone from Whipple calls. We agreed that a technician will be out in my area between 2-4pm and they will call 30 mins before arriving. At 1230pm, someone from Whipple tells me they are coming in 30mins. Desperate to check on my air conditioner, I agreed and took the rest of the day off from work.
I received a text message that Jimmy is on his way and you can track his whereabouts. Jimmy had his own foot covers and put them in before entering my house. He was very professional and took time to educate me on each piece he was opening and testing. Suddenly, I hear a knock on my door and there's another technician, Chance. I didn't understand why I needed 2 technicians, but I found out later that he is Jimmy's supervisor.
Make a long story short, Chance is trying to poke fun and create jokes about my old furnace and reuseable filter and even the tall grass in my backyard. He was completely unprofessionally and even attempted to throw a sales pitch for me to pay $10k to replace my whole unit, furnace and coils. I told him politely, I need to shop around because $10k is something no one is expecting to pay.
He started to get frustrated and continued the sales pitch and he was getting angry that I wanted to shop around for quotes. After I told him I need some time to think it over, he grabs his laptop and walks himself out of my house. If you seriously wanted my business, please offer a little respect. I submitted feedback to Chance and hope someone talks to him about his behavior and his poor sales tactics. I included his photo in case you run into him.

Just had Royal come out to the house to fix a couple of stubborn gas leaks. He was the best. friendly, wearing a smile and took care of the leaks in no time at all. My experience with Whipple has been outstanding. What other company do you know that arrives with their own large floor mats and booties? Love this company 11/19/18 Wayne Scott

I called and scheduled an appointment for the same day, this was important to me. Jeremy O was the technician and had his boots covered and red carpet laid down before I could even answer the door.
