Heating & Air Conditioning
Report
A poorly performing heating and air conditioning system negatively impacts your home in multiple ways. For one, you'll notice and be bothered by strange smells and noises. Second, you'll later find your energy bills climbing for no reason. And third, for your health, inefficient filtering leaves dirt, allergens, and other pollutants in your space.

Company completed a job installing 3 Moen bathroom faucets and 2 toilet floats and pipes. The job was not done correctly. I emailed and called the company to have someone come out and fix the problems. It took over a month for them the send a technician out to fix the problems. The original cost of the job was around $500.00 dollars. I received a call one day out of the blue and asked if they could come to our house and fix the problem in 15 minutes.
They said they had no other time to do it. They sent a technician and he did an even worse job as if it was done on purpose. Very unprofessional company. I do not recommend using them for any bathroom installs. They did a fantastic job with our water heat and fixed it properly in a pinch during another service request. Highly disapointed in this company.

I've had this company come out several times to service my forced air ac/heater unit. Most recently they came out to work on a clogged bathtub line. Jeff was very courteous and helpful. He and another worker worked on my drain for a couple of hours and had everything flowing again! Great job, I highly recommend this company!

This is the second time I had a shock when I got the bill. First time, the amount doubled, was told that due to ocea regulations they needed to have two guys on the roof. Well how about inform the customer at the time of booking the appointment! Furthermore, ocea rules did not come into play last September, so not, no valid excuse! So when I gave them another chance, booked the appointment for June 2019, I was quoted an amount of $155 plus tax = $164.84!
Just got the bill in the amount was $183.99. I would not have made the appointed had I known the price, told them so at the time of booking! Several people in my neighborhood had similar experience and now using a new company with satisfactory result. I will do the same! Keep away from MJ FAHY!

We live in Torrington, CT. and recently needed a new boiler for our heating system. We called MJ Fahy and they were able to install a new boiler quickly and did an excellent job. The men came on time and were clean and efficient, no mess left behind. during the installation. We also had them install a "Nest" thermostat the same day and the entire system now works beautifully!

Horrible customer relations. We just moved into Heritage Village and are in need of a new Air Conditioning Unit and Heat Pump. We called a week ago and scheduled our appointment for today. I called yesterday and confirmed with an office person that we were still on--yes, still on for 1:00 pm today. Today, 1 pm came and went. We called and the office person informed me they rescheduled me for another week from now and claimed my phone was not working when they called.
My phone was working fine yesterday, and there is no record of them calling in my missed calls or messages. She continued to make one excuse after another, always making it sound like my fault. On the positive side, I am glad this happened before we decided to do business with them.

I am at a complete loss at what they are trying to get away with. We had a water leak on our furnace. The pipe to be replaced cost 20 dollars our bill was $404.04. Told everything was all set paid before he left. About a week and a half later the bottom cover fell off so we propped it up to have my brother in law put it back on when they had time.
My mother is elderly and I have had botched back surgery so I don't go down in the basement. So we were waiting on brother-in-law. A couple more days went by and the heater started heating again in the same exact spot. We called them up and told them. We told the lady who answers the phone that we can't afford to pay anything it's the same spot leaking, it should be no charge to fix what was supposed to be fixed already.
The lady on the line was extremely rude and snapped at us *Well we don't know if it's the same thing* It was the exact same spot leaking but leaking even more. When the guy came we told him we can't afford to fix anything that we just want fixed what he came out to fix the last time he was here. He went down did what needed to be done said yup it was related to what he was here to fix previously so there was no charge at all.
My mother and I were so happy our car broke down and we had to buy a used car to replace it. We are those people that you have no choice one month it's groceries the next month it medicine. Never being able to afford both. So as he was leaving he says oh and I put the cover back on the bottom for you and put 2 zip ties on so it wont fall off again.
We were like oh ok what nice customer service doing a small thing like that to show they care about their customers. Again he left telling us there was no charge at all everything was all set. The last time he was here they had payment at the time of service we paid rite then at the time of service. So with a sigh of relief my mother and I were very pleased.
About 2 weeks go buy and we receive a bill in the mail informing us that we own them $ 2.00 dollars for the zip ties, and (get this) $ 170.00 dollars for labor? 170 dollars to take less then a minute to put the cover back on and put two zip ties on. *My mind was completely blown* This is such a scam to do to someone. We never asked for it to be put back on, we were informed there was no charges.
And the man who did put it on basically said he put it on out of kindness. I called up and told them this was crazy. I wanted to speak to someone because we never authorized for the cover to be put back on. I received another letter the next day saying that putting lid had nothing to do with what they were here for before. So they were charging us for it.
I said I wanted to speak to someone because if they didn't screw up what they did the first time they were here. They wouldn't have been here to take it upon them self to try and scam us out of fixing something that was not required. If he was going to take it upon himself to fix everything in my basement that was wrong we would just have to abandon the house or hand it over to them.
I sent a letter back informing them I am not paying for this. If they would like to take me to court I am more then happy to take this in front of a judge to show the injustice. And looking at another review. This seems to be a pattern for this company. 9 years that heating system was fine the covers stayed on no issues. Only 2 people live here my mother and myself. We don't go anywhere near the heater. Odd how just a week and a half later the lid falls off? Lets see where this ends up.
