I tried MJ's Housekeeping as they came highly recommended. I was shocked that first they only sent one person to clean our large home. Secondly, I had a detailed list of what I wanted cleaned. I walked the cleaner through the house and showed her the areas to be cleaned including mopping/sweeping the floors, etc. It only took her three hours to clean our house when it usually takes two people 5 hours.

I had asked her if she mopped the floors because they were not wet. She told me yes. I inspected the floors after she left and there was still dog hair on the floors. She also didn't wipe down the furniture, scrub toilets, clean the shower or take out the bathroom trash. I could have done a better job! Pretty much I didn't know what had been cleaned.

I was expecting an experienced cleaner. I didn't realize I had to tell her what cleaning a house means. MJ's office manager checked in with me the next day and I told her what I just said above and she never replied to me. I was again shocked she didn't respond. I was disappointed by their service as I had different expectations after a friend highly recommended them.

I used there service for over two yrs until one of the ladies stole my engagement ring. I stopped after that.

This housekeeping company will try there best to find the best housekeeper match that you prefer or need for you and your family. You won't have to deal with groups of different housekeepers coming each regular scheduled time and you could have the same housekeeper coming for years. They have housekeepers that do a wider variety of types of cleaning and household tasks than some other cleaning companies who are more restricted in what they can do for you.

We've used MJ's Housekeeping for five+ years and have had only the very best experiences. Over the years we've been assigned several different housekeepers -- each staying well over a year. They've always done exceptional work for us -- tackling the tasks we assign, primarily mopping and cleaning the bathrooms and kitchen. The one time I was sent a substitute housekeeper and she wasn't up to snuff, I called and the company thanked me for my input and we never got her again.

If it was possible to give negative stars I would. Crumbs left on the counter, bathroom sink still dirty, floors didn't get mopped or vacuumed past what could be reached from the doorway. Called the company 3 hours before closing & still haven't reached a person.

You have to keep trying different cleaning ladies until you get one that suits you. The first one I had was great, but she wasn't available on the day I needed on a regular basis. Lady number two was there for about ten minutes and announced that she had morning sickness and went home. Lady number three was very young. She had obviously never had to take care of a house before. She didn't have a clue. Lady number four is a joy! My house has not been this clean since I was able to do it myself. She was worth the wait!

I actually worked for them for a little bit mj and rachel are awesome i just wasnt into working as an independent contractor jus because im not but some people are why dont we make a comment on how the people clean because all i hear are good things and everyone who i have cleaned for loves this place thanks mj and thanks rachel for being so encouraging

MJ's Housekeeping keeps old fashioned traditions and values alive. Mary Jane is caring, prices are the best and the service is always excellent. 5 star service and results!

Terrible housekeeping company. NO stars here, but this website makes you pick a star!. Please look up other reviews for them. They don't have consistent housekeepers. They will tell you they do and lie constantly and make every excuse as to why the housekeepers can't make it or why they miss things or why they no longer are working for them. MJ's is the middle man, the housekeepers are independent and NO one is accountable, ever for anything.

They just take phone numbers of people that need a housekeeper. Pass that information onto the housekeeper and then they don't show up or have some excuse why they need to cancel or have to re-schedule. This company was sold several years ago and it has been a joke ever since. The lady that answers the phone, Rachel is the best at making up excuses for these housekeepers. Remember there is NO accountability with this company. Sign up with them and I guarantee you will also be disappointed over and over again.

I paid to have a cleaning done for three hours I left for work and came back to lick the doors. It took over three hours to clean 1350 sq feet.the cleaner who I will not use her name did a great job in the kitchen counters and floors but she left sludge in the bottom of the oven. In the bedroom did a fantastic job on making the bed but didn't pick up and dust the hardwood floors.

In fact none of the hardwoods were cleaned. In the bathroom only one was done and she left the crud in the drain. What pissed me off most when I called the office the gal said we don't do that type of cleaning basically making excuse for the poor work. Will I use them again hell no!

I have been using this service for several years at my home in Lacey. I have had three different housekeepers and they have all been professional and friendly. In the past I have had other services tell me that I must pick up all toys, or they won't do dishes, etc. MJ's asks what I want and then accomplishes it. Also, the housekeepers are smart about things like how to clean the vacuum filter, the best way to care for my wood floors, things I don't know. The rates are excellent and the scheduling is flexible. These are the best housekeepers I have ever had.

I purchased an eight hour cleaning special. Two cleaners were supposed to clean for four hours each at the same time. One of the cleaners called to tell me she would be late because she needed to take her son to the bus and the usual person was not available to take him. She offered to continue cleaning an extra half hour to make up for the late start. Sounded good to me, I said fine, these things happen.

After the first cleaner arrived and I showed her around and gave her my checklist I left. I left a check for each lady. I never met the second cleaner who was to arrive late. I was looking forward to my thoroughly scrubbed house all day. My house is only 1400 square feet with one bathroom so I was worried that they might run out of things to do. When I arrived home it appeared that the opposite was true.

The shelves that were "dusted" had visible dust marks and you could tell they just dusted around things instead of actually picking them up. The objects on the shelves were still dusty. The kitchen cabinets had a dusty film on them still, even after I asked them to be wiped off. There were several large clumps of cat fur in the middle of the bedroom carpet as if it hadn't been vacuumed.

When I swiffered the kitchen the next day because I spilled water the swiffer pad turned black after a few passes. Also, they each left a note with their names and times they cleaned, and the late cleaner listed 8:30-12:00, even after she told me she would stay to make up for the late start! She took the check for the full time, however. If I cleaned my house for 4 hours by myself I could have gotten it so much cleaner than these two ladies did in the same amount of time.

I ended up going back and cleaning everything they missed, instead of having a stress-free weekend, which was the whole point of hiring someone to clean my house in the first place.
