Emerald Energy installed a 2 Tesla Powerwall battery backup system to go with our 5 KW solar array. Their price was competitive and they really dug in to make sure that they had everything covered. Installation was well handled and easy on us. Justin was great to work with through the whole process. Highly recommended.

I engaged Emerald Energy in Q4 2021 to complete a solar installation at my home before the end of the calendar year. Emerald Energy completed the project on-time, despite less than 4 weeks to complete the installation. Emerald Energy was proactive and professional in all communications related to the project. The team assigned to complete the installation showed genuine concern about the quality of their work and solicited my feedback throughout the installation process.

In addition to physically installing solar panels and critter guards, Emerald Energy handled most of the paperwork related to the job, including regulatory filings. As I write this review 6 - 7 weeks after installation, I am pleased to report that I have encountered no issues with the install. Based on my experience with Emerald Energy, I would unhesitatingly recommend Emerald Energy as a proven, experienced solar installer that will go the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction on each new project.

Emerald Energy were a great team to partner with for my solar installation. From the first quote to the final product, they were professionals in every phase. Thomas Clark and John Leonard were responsive to every one of my questions and provided valuable advice on the timing of the installation in order to qualify for the Duke Energy 2022 winter rebate application.

The construction team was respectful, kept a clean work site and was very neat and thorough in their installation. I would highly recommend Emerald Energy to anyone interested in solar. I've had friends who have used another company and 6 months later their system is still not operational. There are some bad companies out there, but Emerald Energy is not one of them.

Emerald Energy installed my Solar system in December of 2020. John had come to talk with me, and we worked on the system that would fit onto my roof. He kept me updated as far as the installation date and the progress of the permits with the county. They did all the paper work to get the system approved. They also coordinated with my Electric company.

The men who did the installation were courteous and very neat as far as keeping my property looking good. Now that we are having mostly sunny days, I am seeing the system paying off in reduced electric charges! I was very happy with the job Emerald Energy and John Leonard did for me. Jan. 2022. I am adding a little more information here. I now have had my solar system from Emerald Energy for a year.

I have been very happy with the results. In 2021, I paid the minimum to my electric company since my system generated enough power to cover most of my needs for probably 9 of the 12 months. In August I even received a check from my power company paying me back for the excess energy created over the entire year. That was a nice surprise! Chris

I did a lot of research before I finally made my solar purchase, and I am glad I did. Justin from Emerald Energy when out of his way to make sure all my questions were answered. See I was about an hour and forty-five minutes away from them, and he still came to see me. I knew what I wanted just needed someone to design and make recommendations. See I pay very close attention to detail, and I wanted to make sure my solar system was going to grow with my electrical needs.

I received a top notch install, and very excited to promote Emerald Energy any way I can. Justin's technical expertise and customer service went beyond my expectations. I am on my fourth month now with solar, and very happy with how my system is preforming. I am sure as better solar technology comes out the team at Emerald Energy will help spread the word to his customers.

Emerald Energy was very easy to work with; Justin and John were both knowledgeable and cooperative. The project changed from a single Sol-Ark 12K to a pair of them. This with 28 REC Alpha panels and 4 Fortress e-Flex 5.4kWh batteries was the final project. John worked through supply chain problems to procure all needed parts, even scouring just about all sources to obtain battery lugs. Brandon and Dave wired the system with attention to detail. I am very pleased with how the project turned out.

My residence is 2 plus hours from their office. The entire process was excellent with them from sales all the way through installation. Courteous, professional, knowledgeable, clean, timely, and communicative. We had to change plans a number of times through the process and they were always happy to help. Additionally we have had our system installed for 6 months now and had to file a warranty claim 1 time. They were quick to fix the issue and no issues at all. Would recommend to anyone.

I've got nothing but good things to say about Emerald Energy. John was easy to get in touch with, fast to respond and kept me in the loop about a replacement part on order. While some companies need to be called multiple times to follow up on an order or job, Emerald Energy was proactive and handled the job quickly. They were courteous, professional, happy to answer my questions, and provided information in an easy-to-understand way.

Best investment we ever made. Just viewed our June electric bill. We actually sent more power to the electric grid than we used thanks to our Emerald Energy net metering solar system. Our bill was zero for electricity but, $11.25 for taxes and fees, somethings you just can't escape. John's crew traveled over 300 miles round-trip and installed the 37-panel system all in one day.

Who does that! What a company! The guys worked like a well-oiled freight train. I was highly impressed with their demeanor, they never swore and always thanked each other upon receiving help or when asking for additional materials. A top notch professional installation crew. I researched solar products and companies for months before requesting 3 quotes. Emerald Energy was by far the best Price, Selection of Products and Reputation, hands down.

If I text John or Thomas with a question about the Solar Edge dashboard (3rd party monitoring App) they always answer the same day. I believe in supporting the small business company who believe in Integrity and customer service. They will not let you down.

We did our research before installing our rooftop solar system this spring. We met with and obtained quotes from 4 different companies who had done installations in our neighborhood in the past 2 years. We choose Emerald Energy based on the combination of service, word of mouth, design to our needs, and of course price. We were not disappointed as John Leonard and Emerald were really terrific at every step of the process.

He was flexible and willing to adjust the design as we went through the process. For example we wanted to incorporate an EV charger into our install and John was able to change the inverter to Solar Edge which allows us the option to directly charge from the solar panels. Our roof was 20 years old, so we decided to replace that as part of the project and Emerald was able to include that in the project at a competitive price. Emerald was very responsive throughout the project, from design to installation and inspection and even gave us some helpful suggestions to get Duke Energy to install our meter quickly after inspection. We highly recommend Emerald Energy for roof top Solar.

John Leonard and the entire crew from Emerald Energy crew were truly amazing to work with start to finish. From the first phone call when I was scoping out my 11kw solar project John answered the phone on a weekend and gave me a ton of information. Very communicative, straightforward honest and easy to work with. When I got competitive bids from other providers Emerald still came in with best price.

He helped guide me through entire process with Duke Energy (utility) on getting the ($6,000!) credit they offered. He also walked me through using the digital app to track production and getting me financing options. The system is now meeting all of my monthly energy needs in our 4000 sqft house in Raleigh. He also installed a high speed electric vehicle charger in my garage for a small add-on to the contract at my request. Cannot write more highly of these guys. Thank you John and Team.

John and his team did fantastic work with the installation of the 10 Kw solar system. The work has been through, clean and complete. Communication has been great from start to finish with the process explained every step of the way. John and Justin were patient and very helpful with the system design, HOA approval, permitting and city inspection. They gave me the best deal by far! Excellent experience throughout and I cannot recommend them enough. I will come back to them for any future projects.They went over and above my expectations!
