In 1933, Samuel Blanc created a funny-looking sewer cleaning machine from a 1/6 HP Maytag washing machine motor, roller skate wheels and 3/8" cable to turn the blades. The device used a combination of special blades or "knives" to cut tree roots out of sewer lines. No digging was required. A year later, Sam's wife Lettie christened the prototype the "Roto-Rooter."Founded in 1935, Roto-Rooter is the largest provider of plumbing and drain cleaning services in North America. In 1980, the Blanc family sold Roto-Rooter to Cincinnati-based Chemed Corporation, and Roto-Rooter moved its headquarters to Cincinnati.

Had to put in a good word for our technician Brandon K.He worked very hard and completed several projects for us in one day. Did a great job and we were pleased with his attitude and eye for detail. The entire team from the ones answering the phone, the technician making the plan to address the problem, ones who unclogged the drain to the restoration team were very professional. All were very kind and easy to work with. My problem was addressed promptly, same day. I truly appreciate all the people who worked to get my problem solved. Edit: The team of guys who did the work were Aaron, Derek, and Parrish.

We ran into a flange that needed completely replaced after we had already removed our old toilet. Of course being a weekend, we werent sure anyone would be able to come fix it but they came and took care of everything and installed the new toilet. They were quick and very friendly. We couldn't ask for a better experience! Would definitely recommend.

We had Brandon and Chris out today to look at a bathroom tub that had been backing up with sewage. They were very thorough and looked at all the major drains throughout the rest of the house. Had a water heater installed. Brandon was great to work with. Went over my entire plumbing system with me and explained everything he was doing and what should be done. I had lots of questions. Very friendly, and knowledgeable. Quality work. I would recommend Roto Rooter to anyone who wants their plumbing done properly. I've used a few other companies that were cheaper and I got what I paid for and paid more in the long run for poor work. Very satisfied and will be using Roto Rooter for all my plumbing needs!

Tate was AMAZING! He went above and beyond to ensure our clogged main line/sewer line were cleaned out. He was extremely knowledgeable, very personable, and went to great effort to keep the area clean. I was so impressed with how conscientious and decent he was! It's hard to find honest, dedicated, friendly people these days, but he was all 3! 5 stars and have already recommended him to others. Super, super pleased!

ROTO-ROOTER did a fantastic job! Not only did Brandon fix our problems but went above and beyond and fixed a few things left behind by OTHER workmen - like hooking up our washing machine! His trainee replaced a faucet and fixed a toilet completely on her own AND put everything back! We are VERY pleased with Roto-Rooter, their people and their services and will not hesitate to call again.

The RR tech Mason did an outstanding job unclogging my main sewer line. He arrived on time. He was professional and quite knowledgable about the job.
