Paul Riggenbach at Mr. Sparky totally took care of my needs. The city inspector would not pass my inspection on my hot water heater until I downgraded my 30 watt breaker to a 25 watt breaker. Paul did some calculations and found out that was not the case. He talked to the inspector, and got my inspection passed without having to put a new breaker in.
I have used Mr. Sparky before to put in a new breaker box at my other house, and they did a great job there too. They are highly professional and friendly too. I highly recommend them.

Absolutely horrendous. Placed call for commercial service 6:43pm. Requested service for next morning. Told it was scheduled and my window was 8:30-12:30. Called at 11:45'ish day of to confirm. Told it was scheduled, could not cofirm time "dispatch says tech is tied up and they cannot talk to him", he is running a little behind. 3:30 nobody has shown up. Called to ask status.
After checking dispatch says "someone" called and cancelled. There is no longer an appt. I am the only one in the building. Nobody called. A simple 2 minute job to pop a new fuse in - for liability i couldn't do it - and they were told that is what was all it needed when i called to set it up. Now i know why one of my guys started laughin and said i would regret that call last night. He used them and said never again. Guess is they din'dt want to honer the ". We're On Time, You'll See or The Repair Is Free!"

Joe was a real professional. He was on time, great mannerisms and respectful. Very knowledgeable and communicated the issues and resolutions with no confusion. The price seemed high, but these days, what isn't. I'm not an electrician and would not try do their job, because it's dangerous. I give them 5 Stars! I've used Mister Sparky 2 times. Chris and Steven came out and fixed my electrical panel and some electrical outlets. Super nice and explained everything well. Today Martin came out and fixed the exterior panel and out of compliance wiring from the previous job. The permit process was quick. Chris and Steven came out to check back on the progress at the end of the day. I will definitely be recommending them to others as well!

Damion Jackson was the electrician the Mister Sparky sent after I had made an appointment on a Friday. They were able to send an Mr. Jackson on Tuesday (Monday was a holiday). Damion Jackson was scheduled to come between 8:00 and twelve. He call me around eight thirty and gave me plenty of warning before he showed up, which was very much appreciated.
When he arrived I found him to be very friendly and I was able to relax. He went right to work going over what needed to be inspected. Turns out I needed 2 new smoke detectors installed, mine were about 40 years old. He had smoke detectors in the truck and was able to get them installed in a good amount of time. He showed me the wires that were required to be inspected.
He made what usually is a very uncomfortable experience for me, to a very pleasant one. It was a very pleasant experience, and if I need an electrician, I will not hesitate to call Mister Sparky and request Damion Jackson.
When he arrived I found him to be very friendly and I was able to relax. He went right to work going over what needed to be inspected. We had contacted two separate electricians and nobody could be bothered to show up or come back to do the work. Mr. Sparky had real people answering the phone and had a quick turnaround time. I'm not sure how their prices compare, it wasn't cheap, but they showed up and they knew what they were doing and we got the work done and it's guaranteed for three years.

I entered a request for an electrician in Home Advisor regarding a living room ceiling fan/light that stopped working completely. Mister Sparky responded via text message and said they could come out, but charged a $49 service fee just to come out. I agreed to the service and they came out 4/8/22. The technician arrived and I explained that I thought my light fixture was bad.
He said he'd check, but had to check the wall switch. He took off the switch plate, held a little power detector to the wire, and said it was good. I again said I thought it might be the actual fixture. He stood on a step stool, took out each bulb, checked them with the detector, and they were all good. He finally took off the light cover and tested the actual fixture, and as suspected, it did not work.
He then said, "Well, it's the fixture. When you get a new one, call us back and we'll come back and install it for an additional $49 service fee and a $265 installation fee." He did nothing else. I was shocked when he handed me an invoice for his 15 minute visit. He charged me the agreed upon $49 service fee, AND an additional $279 fee for "single circuit diagnostic fee." So, Mister Sparky charged me $328 for a 10 minute visit to tell me I needed a new light fixture. Beware!

Work was well done and efficient. However, I think I way overpaid for the service. I should have shopped around more and not agreed right away, just because they made it easy to pay through a credit line. Was not thinking right and I really regret paying so much. We called to get some electrical work done, and chose Mr. Sparky for its good reviews. We were quoted a 12-2pm window, and at 2pm we had not heard anything and called to see what was going on. We were then told the window was 12-4pm and we were wrong about the previous window. At 4:30pm, we still had not heard anything and called once again to relay that we have still had no service.
The lady told us she had left a message for the dispatch and they should be calling us soon with an ETA. We never heard anything from anyone. What a crazy waste of a day that I took off work. It's 1 day afterward and no call, no show. Reading the other reviews, we are lucky they didn't come because we would've been overcharged!

Read a view reviews, thought I was getting a good and honest business to fix a breaker. Richard did the job but when I asked I'd he would check the outlets he said no. Well yes, an outlet was bad, called to make an appointment. Appointment scheduled, I'm waiting for tech to arrive and I called to make certain, not only did they lose the appointment they want to charge me for another visit. Beware of the company that is great up front but lacking in follow through.

Called Mr. Sparky to connect some florescent ballasts I had already purchased in my basement. My back was bad and a ladder was needed. Strike one: Immediately tried to quote a ridiculous price to order some. Luckily, I already had them. Strike two: Asked to inspect my home breaker box for safety. Claimed most of it was wrong and quoted a insane repair price to fix it. (1000$+) Nothing was wrong with it and told them no.
Strike three: One of the light fixtures blew a week later. They had wired it wrong. Your out Mr. Sparky. You are completely dishonest and a rip off. Will never use you again.

Had contractor call me to schedule a time. Scheduled 2-4 time window and he doesn't show up. Funny some one had called me and asked me what I want. I suspect they outsource their electricians because the guy who called me was from owner operated self business, but was talking about my Mr sparky job. First thing he asks me was, "do you want to do this legally or illegally?" I was like uhm legally, he says ok well it would require inspection so it will be 6500-7500 to put in a new panel with extra circuits. Beware!

Mister Sparky was very unprofessional. Had us waiting for weeks to come out to fix our electrical issue and cancelled on us multiple times. Had followed up the day before and the morning of the appointment to ensure that they were going to make it but canceled during the window of time that they were supposed to come out. Very unhappy. Not the first time that a big chain let us down. Would recommend looking at the smaller companies when looking for home fixes.

Excellent from start to finish. Got a next day appointment, electrician arrived on time & called when they were close, electrician was professional and knowledgeable. Seamless and as perfect as can be. This after having ARC Angel come to diagnose a few problems (charged a lot for initial visit), sent a quote for the work, then ghosted us.called numerous times with no response at all. Thankful Mister Sparky got it right.

Over the weekend our Nest thermostat stopped working. A wire Rh is getting no power. After googling it says probably our circuit breaker or a busted fuse. MR says. I called someone already. I found Mister Sparky MRS says. (after checking YELP!) What? Why would you hire someone with 2 stars rating on Yelp? Here's why MR got this one right. Henry was the electrician who came to check.
While he was checking for voltage, our furnace kicked off on its own and started to work again. Even though Henry did not do anything, he should have collected service charge for showing up right? But he did not. That is why we're giving Mister Sparky 4stars. On the receipt, Henry indicated to have an AC guy come instead. So we did. Our wonderful HVAC technician (see Climate Technicians Incorporated) came and found the real issue.
It was indeed a busted breaker. Our HVAC technician did an electrical work that should have been caught by Henry. In fairness though, our HVAC technician said circuit breaker power do comes and goes so there is no way Henry could have caught it unless he removed the breaker panel. Not to digress, Henry was fair and generous for not charging us anything. Mister Sparky is a good company and Google reviews got this right. They have 4.8stars with 1,925 reviews as of Feb. 2, 2021.

I called 3 different times to ask how to get a vendor set up form completed so I could schedule a visit for repair of lighting in the mailbox area of our neighborhood, since I'm the HOA President. 5 days later, and 1 day asking for manager to call, I've not received a call

I called because my outdoor outlets and one outlet inside had stopped working. Once he got my story to which he was very nice, he went to diagnose the issue. He came back to me and gave me three options. One to repair and get power working would cost me $295. One to replace half of a sub panel for 1300-1600. I chose the repair. Only after the repair and paying for it did he actually show me what he did.
He literally replaced a $3 gfi outlet. He did show me a light switch I needed to replace and quoted me $360 to replace it. I declined. He also showed me the panel and the type of breakers to replace if I choose to do on my own. I went to Home Depot and spent 60 and came home and had the breakers and the light switch replaced in under an hour on my own. I'm sorry but 295 to replace an outlet and 360 to replace a light switch is a total rip off.
I will never use again. Only reason for two stars is because the tech was very nice and just doing his job. I will be complaining about the price on Monday to their office as I believe that is highway robbery and trying to take advantage of people.

I recently had set a appointment for a light switch and fan to be looked at. I told Charlie that it was a 15 foot high fan and the technician needed a tall ladder. So when the day came a tech by the name of Adam called to let me know he would be at my home in 15 minutes. I mentioned the need for a tall ladder and he said he didn't have one. He insisted on coming over to look at the light so I agreed.
When Adam showed up he looked at the high ceiling and said oh, I cant fix this without a ladder ( Adam APM almost laughing) I do not find it funny because I had taken the day off from work and needed this to be fixed. I called Mister Sparky and Charlie answered. I told him the tech had no ladder an d left my house. Charlie said, oh really. So disappointing.

Horrible! What a rip off! Not only was our tech late, but he tried up selling us on several items in our home. Ignoring the entire reason we called him out to our house. He then quoted us $12k to replace our Electrical Panel! When I questioned him on the price, he would not give me any answers to why it was so high. Please stay far away from using this service! I feel horrible for how many people this company is taking advantage of, truly horrific!

The most unprofessional and fear mongering technicians in the business. I am a fairly experienced electrician myself and really did not want to do a job relating to outdoor high voltage lighting. The technician comes in and I specifically tell him that I need an outdoor gfci outlet replaced and he immediately started pointing out things that are not in code and would want to fix this and that and gave me a $1250 dollar price o btw the gfci outlet was 300 to replace omgeez I understand profit making but this is ridiculous.
He left my fixtures opened up while looking at the wiring did not bother to even close it when i told him i wasnt gonna pay for the stuff i had to literally tell him to close my fixtures as it was before he came tinkering with it and pretty much argued with me that it was lose before? Dont call them at your homes as they will profit even on your coffins. Be Honest and compassionate and not sell fear to get sales. We all know high voltage is dangerous thats why we have circuit breakers and trippers

Stay away. The story repeats itself over and over. These guys came into my home with a soft quote and ended up with a quote thousands of dollars higher. They were 4x the price of other quotes. If you look at their reviews on employment websites a number of the employees / ex employees state that they are trained to sell stuff people don't need. Avoid at all costs.

We have a lovely elderly couple down the street who recently called Mr. Sparky to fix a dimmer switch in their kitchen (and one other issue). They ended up with an estimate of over $1,100.00! The husband has had a series of strokes, and can no longer perform these repairs. He also has mostly lost the ability to communicate, so - even though he fully understands what's going on - he's unable to tell this guy off!
Part of this fleecing was to replace two circuit breakers to "bring them up to code". Thing is, I looked up the "code". It applies to DORMITORIES! Not to single family residences! This added $518 of UNNECESSARY cost to the bill! Trying to take advantage of elderly people - NOT wealthy - who are on a fixed income makes me FURIOUS! They luckily did not have the work done, and she called me.
I replaced it in 5 minutes for the cost of the switch, $16.89. I want to encourage EVERYONE in the ATL area to avoid this company at all costs. In summary, please never use Mr. Sparky. I've contacted the local TV consumer advocate. If they want to redeem themselves in ANY way, the LEAST they can do is refund the original trip charge of $49.00, which I have asked them to do.

This company is a total scam. We had a power surge when the line from the street broke, and we immediately shut down the breakers to the house. Mister Sparky had GA Power come out and reattach the line, but they also said we cant turn our electricity back on until we replace the whole electrical system in the house - at $10-15k. He was encouraging me to file a claim with my insurance company on the spot as the GA Power guy was still fixing the line.
He said he will deal with insurance and get it approved. I brought in another electrician, and he told me it was fine to turn electricity on and he did - and everything was fine. We had a couple appliances that had been affected by the surge, but otherwise everything was working just as it had before the line broke. And of course, the GA Power guy was awesome - doing a thankless job with a great attitude! AVOID THIS COMPANY!

GA Power told me my meter was overheating because of corroded aluminum lugs that hold the meter in place. I got 3 estimates over the phone and they were $500, $600, and $10,000. Guess which one was Mr. Sparky? Yep, the $10k because he insisted on replacing my entire panel and all the wiring to it. If I had $9,400 to give away it certainly wouldn't be to a company so flippant, curt, and dismissive as Mr. Sparky.

Needed a new line ran for my electric cook stove. This also included changing out the 3 prong outlet to a 4 prong. Less than 20 feet of line needed to be ran. Got a quote for Mister Sparky for over $1,700. Got another estimate from a couple other companies and most of them are under $600. I went with a local gentleman who only charged me $500 to do the job plus put in a new grounding rod that the Mr. sparky electrician didn't catch that was disconnected. Shop around!

4-5 hrs into my service call and 1/2 of the things we requested didn't get done! Our tech installed a motion sensor for our garage lights in a kitchen hallwall leading into the garage NOT IN THE GARAGE? Then told Me we were into ANOTHER $259 because he didn't understand the scope of the request? Also purchased wrong items for the project including basic LED cam lights by not bringing the parts to Hone Depot and we had him at our home for 4 hours on Sat evening without completing medial installing. 1 Wall Receptical 1 Wall Dimmer- we supplied the proper part for him 1 Motion detector 2 install attempts - did not complete this task 2 Can lights over our mantle to replace existing lights. didn't get this done within 4 - 5 hours Also gave odd information About transferring our preferred customer account to our new home.
