NLR did work at my old house in West Seattle. I bought a new house in West Seattle, and I am not sorry I had Bobby, Nathan, and crew come back for another go at the new house. The scope of work was complex, and involved subcontracting for concrete. It all looks great and it was completed at a fair prices. I would recommend the NLR team and their concrete subs to anyone.

New Life Rockeries did a really great job establishing a strong and visually appealing retaining wall for the southern boundary of our property in Seattle. Our project involved removing a significant amount of soil, reshaping a sloped boundary to our neighbors property, and designing an unique fence and gate to accommodate a concrete slab walkway.

It wasn't a straight forward project, but Bobby and his team executed it quickly and efficiently, and made our yard look really great while being mindful of the visual experience for the other side of the retaining wall that our neighbors would see. The project came in within budget, and the clean up, fence work, and overall delivery was great. Will definitely work with New Life on future projects.

Needed to build up an existing rock wall to level out the side of our driveway. New Life did the job quickly and were able to match the existing rockery perfectly. Highly recommend them for any of your rockery needs!

I interviewed 4 companies to tear down an existing failed, improperly built retaing wall. Of them, New Life Rockeries gave me the most intriguing bid. Unlike block walls that can be purchased from local department stores I was given the option to have a custom one off rock wall constructed. I couldn't be happier! From inception I was walked through why my previous wall failed, what should have been done and how New Life Rockeries would ensure my new wall would never have the same issues.

The end results were above my expectations, please see the before and after pictures. There was a standout thing that happened during the removal of the old block wall that I felt needed to be brought to light. I have a friend that wanted to repurpose the blocks for his home project, fine, come take them I said. He was able to remove about 40% of them before Neils crew showed up and I asked if the remaining blocks could be set aside for my friend to pick up. " No problem" I was told, so here's the thing, they set the blocks aside, the newest guy on the crew was running them up a hill to a clearing after they were loaded into this motorized wheelbarrow.

He didn't dump them out, no, he hand stacked all 300ish blocks! One man! These are not light and my expectation was "set aside" not neatly stacked in rows. Well above my expectations! If you are considering having a rock wall / retaining wall built, no need to search any further, these guys are the real deal! Lots of experience and knowledge!

Absolutely fantastic. We had the New Life team replace our failing retaining wall and make some steps from our front to back yard and an area for a fire pit. They stabilized our wall despite torrential rain while they were working. Their work was surgically precise and our neighbors were also really happy. They replaced an ugly, rotten wall with a beautiful terraced one in terrible weather and stayed on budget doing so. They were so easy to work with and we are so happy with the result. Thank you!

The New Life Rockeries team are engineers, artists, and customer service reps all wrapped up in one. Had a great experience with them re-doing our backyard which included 150' of tiered rockeries, hillside stabilization, drainage, leveling, resurfacing, and an integrated staircase. This job had it all. They were on budget and worked with us with great communication as the project evolved. Highly recommend and will be using them again when we eventually tackle our front yard.

We had a good experience working with Neal, Bobby, and the rest of their crew. They had the most competitive bid and one of the best looking portfolios. The start of our project got pushed back a little bit, but once it got started the job was completed in just a few days. The end result was a nice straight wall that I am confident will last. The crew cleaned up really well and worked carefully in a very tight area right next to our house. Thanks guys.

New Life Rockeries was so easy to work with on every step of the process. They heard our hopes/goals, provided awesome professional feedback to make it even better than our hopes, and got the job done! They started sooner than we expected, were very detailed focused (since I'm working form home I'd spy a little and was impressed by how they would spend the time to get each stone perfect), and they came in under budget!

This was not a little project either, they leveled a weird hill we had, moved an old rock wall (even built a new rock wall with the old stones to another part of the yard that needed), and built a beautiful new patio and retaining wall with a built-in bench. Can't recommend them enough and will get more projects done by them in the future! *In the photos you will see a concrete wall, they did not do that ugly thing. That is getting covered by a fence that will sit on-top of the lovely wall New Life built.

Bobby and team helped us design a new driveway and retaining walls. We were looking to widen our old driveway so we had room to park our car and open the doors, and we also needed a way to get up onto the lawn and use our side gate without crawling up on the big rocks. They were really patient with all of our questions and back and forth trying to learn how these types of projects work and getting everything right.

The onsite team was really helpful in troubleshooting in real time as we tried to make some changes to make everything looked as polished as possible. The whole team worked really hard, and the quality shows. All of our neighbors keep commenting on how well constructed and professional everything looks. If we had to go back and do it again, next time we'd probably go out to see the different colors of stones in person because it would've made the decision much easier, and we would've planned on working from home while they were on site to make it easier to quickly answer questions as things came up.

New Life Rockeries completed a rock wall, about 75 feet long (in three sections) and about 3 feet high, to retain soil for a fence our small HOA planned to replace along a long driveway. Rockery work involving heavy machinery is not cheap. However, the project director (Neil) was very knowledgeable and calm throughout the process, as 3-4 homeowners asked our questions. Neil developed a plan to meet our needs, worked around our out-of-town trips (demo-ed the old fence then returned to install the rockery 3 weeks later), talked with our neighbors to make sure they were on board with the plan, and advised us about getting an agreement in writing.

The demo took one day and rockery install took less than two days more. They respected our concern about allowing access for the garbage collector to pick up our shared dumpster garbage. And after clean-up, we couldn't tell they'd been there - except that the rockery was in, as planned. Great job!

These guys know what they're doing and are professional, courteous, and prompt. I had an idea of what I wanted for a rock wall around our firepit. Neil came out and looked at the job and gave me some of his own ideas. Ended up with a beautiful rock wall with steps going down into the firepit area and a monument stone in the middle. Beautifully done.

I needed to get an old railroad tie retaining wall replaced at my house, and a hill cleaned up and squared off to prevent and more of my yard from sliding down. After a few estimates, I went with B&D Rockeries due to their quote and reviews, and am happy that I did so. I ended up having one entire side of my lot replaced with half man stones, while the front on the other side was replaced with 2 levels of a terraced wall, plus a small stone wall short wall in the backyard, so quite a bit of work overall.

The crew was friendly and knowledgeable, and ended up doing a lot of work by hand since they couldn't bring the heavy equipment into the backyard due to space constraints along the side of the house. After everything was said and done, everything was finished surprisingly quick for how much work there was to do, and the end result looks fantastic.

We recently had B & D do a rockery and landscape project in our yard. They were terrific. They arrived on time and were so easy to have here working. They do beautiful work and have the expertise to choose and place beautiful rocks for a rockery, walk way and stairs. This is not a given with rock work. We had other work done in the past with another company and it was so average.

The work that B& D does is not average. They choose the rocks carefully and now we have a beautiful result. Everyone loves the work that was done and there isn't a day that we don't smile and enjoy it. They are a class, honest and experienced company. I can totally recommend them for any project that you might have in your yard. I will hire them again when I need this kind of work done. They are great!

We just completed work on our house but the yard was a disaster. Bobby and his team came to the rescue. The did everything on time and on budget. We were very anxious to get the yard work completed so that we could enjoy the yard while we still had some summer. B & D accommodated our request and the results were fantastic. The yard looks great. Moreover, we got three quotes. B & D's quote was better than the others and the handle the rockery and the landscaping, which saved us the trouble of dealing with and coordinating two different contractors. We held off on mulching in order to add additional plant materiel.) Communication was great. If there were any questions or concerns, Bobby answered immediately and resolved the issue. This group really is top notch and fairly priced, which is a great combination.
