Wrought Iron
Report
For many years wrought iron fences were thought to be only for large, stately homes. This exquisite fence was know as ornamental iron. Today, wrought iron and ornamental iron are used as interchangeable terms. This iron is stunning and may be built to custom specifications. For most people however, it's often more economical to dress up your fence.
Wood
Report
We understand that when you are looking for wood fencing for your property, you want something that will withstand weather. To maintain the beauty of your fencing for years to come, you'll also want something that is easy to stain and waterproof. This is why A-1 Steel Fence prefers western pine cedar fencing.
Vinyl
Report
If you live in an area where dry rot or termites are a problem, vinyl fencing may be just what you need. The style of these vinyl fences create beauty and offer low maintenance. They are ideal of homes, playgrounds, to surround your pool and even in parking lots. The tongue and groove styles combine beauty with privacy and security.
Chain Link
Report
For years, we've seen chain link fencing. This is because chain link is known to be economical and durable. Combine that with flexible installation and it has remained the choice of thousands of homeowners for years. The good news is that chain link fences don't have to be unsightly nor do they only have to be plain chain link. Today, chain link fences can be coated in vinyl.

My dog was attacked by coyotes in the back yard, and I needed help fast. Stephen came out to give me an estimate on a barrier system. He arrived right on time at 8:00 a.m. on a Saturday morning. The estimate was reasonable, and the installation was quickly scheduled. The installers showed up when promised, and they were uncommonly nice and thoughtful.
They had to alter the plans slightly because of buried irrigation pipes, but they made it all work. I've had a lot of work done on my house and yard over the past 20 years, and this company really stands out as having done an excellent job. I recommend them highly.

I called A1 steel fencing because I saw a post that said they installed coyote roller fencing and there have been a lot of pets killed by coyotes recently in my neighborhood. I have an indoor/outdoor cat and I wanted to secure her safety. It took me calling them a few times after the site visit appt. to get the actual estimate emailed to me. The quote was over $1400 for a small 9' fence.
I agreed to the price and asked for an estimated date of install. The Rep Paul S told me it would be about 2-3 weeks. After 2 weeks I called to find out if they had a definitive date now, so we could schedule the actual date of install. He told me he would check with fabrication dept and call me right back. He did not. I called the main desk the following day and they also told me they would check with the install dept and call me right back.
After a week of this, I decided that they obviously did not want or need my business, so I contacted another fence vendor. He came out the next day and said that he could have the fence installed THE NEXT WEEK!. I gave him a deposit and CANCELED my order with A1 Steel Fence. They could have cared less. The original Rep Paul S. never called me back to ask why I was cancelling. Perhaps the job was "too small" for them, but they should have told me that at the onset--so that I would not have wasted 3 whole weeks!

I used A-1 to replace a fence on my business they would call me everyday to ask if the insurance company was ready to pay. When the insurance company came though with the money I had to call them everyday to see when they would do the repair and it was I call you back. When then finally came to replace the fence they hit a water line so I called my rep who said I will be right over.after4 hours of no phone call or showing up I called a plumber myself.
They told me a signed a paper on the estimate that said they are NOT responsible! I wrote them a letter and ask if they could just pay half the bill of $350.00 and have not heard from them since. I guess there business is sooooo good they do not need customer service there!

I inquired about an estimate in July 2014. About 15 feet wide by 6 feet high cedar wood fence installed. Was finally ready to move forward in Feb 2015. Contacted them and they said it would take about 2 weeks to get it installed. Through out these 2 weeks, I'd contact the sales rep for an installation date and it was always "I'll get back to you" or "sometime next week".
After 3 weeks of waiting around I decided to start the screening process for other companies. Out of courtesy, I let them know that I was going with another company, not once did they apologize for wasting my time. If the job is too small for your interest, say it.
