Frank Chiavarini, the founder and proprietor of Interstate Electrical Contractors, is a life-long electrician, literally. Even in high school, Frank would spend his afternoons and weekends tagging along with his electrical contractor neighbor - learning, asking questions, starting to learn his craft.

Then, in 1981 he was awarded his California electrical contractors license. Like they say, the rest is history. What has kept Interstate Electrical Contractors going for all these years is Frank's firm belief customers should be treated the way he would want to be treated. With that in mind, all customers of Interstate get an honest day's work at an honest price.

My previous electrician did not follow through with the job and I waited for a week literally in the dark in some rooms while he left me hanging. I took a chance on Frank because I spent a day reading reviews and checking them out to see if they're true. They are true. Frank was able to come by the next day since I called them late in the day and methodically checked my outlets but just a few before he had a hunch what the problem would be.

The previous electrician after spending a day was supposed to return within two days and since he couldn't fix the problem was going to replace every outlet in the house but Frank wasn't comfortable with that idea. It's very time-consuming and costly. Frank got a hunch and asked if I had an outlet behind my heavy dresser against the wall. After moving the dresser he checked the outlet and when you know he was right the problem was with that outlet which was still working.

All the other outlets in the daisy chain we're dependent on that one still working outlet. Frank change that outlet and one other and the job is done. I expected to have my day wasted and my bank account diminished substantially. Neither happened in fact I was surprised how reasonable he was. Nice guy, knows his job, very fair on his pricing, and I'd say highly recommended.

Frank installed 6 skylights with no easy access and rewired a switch. He arrived on time, his work was professional, and he took the time to do it right. Honest and dependable, cleaned up afterward. Definitely recommend him.

Frank is a professional and very friendly at the same time. Recently he did a buss bar upgrade, upgraded some breakers, installed an Electrical Vehicle charger, and installed a transfer switch for a my generator for a great price. We worked over a few weeks coordinating parts, edison appointments, and making sure everything was compatible. He did a great job. Thank you Interstate and Frank.
