The Technician was highly knowledgeable of the major electrical problem I was experiencing. He came into my home, accessed the situation, and worked diligently and efficient. Definitely knew his job without any hesitation. I explained what was going on, and the problem I was experiencing. His professionalism reminded me of someone who had been in the military.

I just had to ask him about being in the Service. He was definitely a military Navy gentleman, and this was his profession while serving. It was the way he carried himself, and the job was done in 40 minutes or less. He accessed the situation, and it was such a beautiful job well done. His time was in and out, and he was not procrastinating about what needed to be addressed or taken care of.

If I needed any other electrical needs of any sort, I would highly recommend this company and their employees. The company stands for good quality and care for their customers. Their Staff are very courtesy, knowledgeable and definitely gets the job done. Integrity is still a true value of this company. I just loved their service and those who have Served our Country. Great Job!

Superior service! We had an urgent need to have our cables to the outside meter replaced as well as our panel box. They called same day, calmed us down and quickly and efficiently resolved our issues. Excellent prices, expert electrician who was friendly, efficient and kind. I highly recommend them! If there were 10 stars - I'd give it. Jim - the owner - was the most honest and transparent electrician I've ever met. He helped me save $100's - literally, and was available every single time I called. He didn't just fix stuff, I was curious - so he taught me too! This guy is one of a kind. Thanks to him I have an outdoor ceiling fan with new outlet/wiring and an amazing place to spend time as a family - for a fraction of the cost I would have spent elsewhere. USE THEM.

One word, WOW! Rarely does a company impress a customer from start to finish. However, A to Z did just that. Jim (owner) and Eric (electrician) were truly amazing - from communication to dedication in delivering top notch results. We were fortunate to have Eric assigned to our project, which included exterior wiring, new meter box, new interior power panel / circuit breakers and grounding. A to Z will be getting all my electrical work at my house. They were responsive, punctual, and did great work. These guys will be my go to as I work to update my house. Eric did and awesome job and taught me a lot of things while making my house safer!

I had an unexpected electrical issue and Jim was great to work with. He responded in a timely manner and was able to get my job done quickly at a fair price. I plan to use A to Z for any future electrical needs and would highly recommend them to anyone in need of electrical services.

Jim came out within hours of calling him to give me a quote and started and finished the work the very next day. He was very prompt, organised and the quality of work was excellent. I'll be using A to Z for future work and referring them to anyone that's looking for an electrician.

I called A-Z and Jim had an electrician out to my home for a fairly large job within two days. Mike showed up and did excellent work. He even came back the next morning just to finish up some details. I was happy with the price also, I felt that I got good work for what I paid for. I am a Realtor and I am always recommending this company to my clients and friends.

A to Z came to my home today because I had a fuse that kept tripping and several light switches that were problematic. Mike arrived on schedule and had to troubleshoot to figure out the issue. He was here 4 hours! Our house is old and the wiring shows. He tested light switches, took down a ceiling fan, and checked multiple outlets. He had to go upstairs, downstairs, to the basement.

He hauled around equipment and ladders. He was always polite and explained everything he was doing. HE FIXED IT! I paid $400 and I feel that was more than fair. He worked really hard and was here quite a long time. Thanks Mike!

An overdue review: Used these guys a few times and always found them to be responsive - someone always answers the phone and gets back to you when they say they will. They do fine work and the technicians are friendly and courteous. One great story - we had just moved into our new house and were hosting 20 ppl last Thanksgiving when we discovered the huge chandelier over the dining room table was not working due to a faulty switch.

We called the morning before Thanksgiving and they were out to fix it that afternoon. It was an easy fix but we didn't have the time or patience with a house full of guests and tons of cooking to worry about it. It was great to have it taken care of so quickly by a pro.

I have used A to Z electrical 3x. First two times in 2012; fixed light fixtures and placed new wall sockets in a home we had just purchased. Used them again for 3rd time last monday to install 4 new dimmer led lights (to replace 4 dimmers, not LED) and to look at light in 3rd floor that was flickering. Kerry came out, and Kerry was the one who did the work for us the 2x in 2012 also.

He was professional, and quick on the job. When he got to installing the LED lights he informed me that our dimmer wasn't rated for LED and i would need to go to a store and buy new switches. I got instructions from him to buy Lutron switches, rated for LED at home depot. I went there (while kerry was at my house) and called Kerry to be sure i got the right thing.

He confirmed yes, and I bought 2 switches. He installed and left. That afternoon when i used the lights for the first time i noticed a flickering. I called Kerry, he said to take of the switchplate and move the black piece on teh right to adjust the load on the switch, he thought this would get rid of it. It didn't, he told me to call the office.

I literally just got off the phone with the office. He informed me that I was to blame for the flickering. I said, i bought the switch that kerry instructed me to buy, and if there was a different one to buy he should have told me then. He said i would need a different switch and that i would have to pay again to have them come switch it out. I indicated, very kindly and professionally that this was not an appropriate solution given that his worker was the one who instructed me on what to buy, and the owner told me "how can i know which switch you need" - my reply, "isn't that your job? i'm not an electrician, that's why i called you to do this work." i explained that to make this right i could go buy the switch he was now instructing me to buy but that i expected the labor to be free.

I was told no way. I told him that this would cost him a bad review online, and he hung up on me. Truly the least professional person i have dealt with. I was a repeat customer, and this is how i was treated. Forget A to Z go elsewhere.

I hate to leave bad reviews for anyone so I will try to just stick to the facts. The good is that they were able to schedule my work quickly, they had to come out twice because I didn't realize that the room was not ready for the work to be done so they told me how to prep it and rescheduled and they were pleasant about it. they came when they were supposed to and finished the work in a reasonable amount of time.

So the problem? That came afterwards when we cleaned up and moved stuff back. We had asked them to add an outlet at the corner of the adjoining room. My father had physically shown him where to place it and assumed it was done. We could not tell where it was in the adjacent room until we moved all the furniture back two days later. The outlet was definitely not in the corner and was high enough that it ended up being between the pillows at the head of the bed.

I called and in the end they said that my father had been there and watched him put it in and could've said something. Yes, my father was there but he was in a different corner working on another project on the room. He didn't think he really had to closely watch him because he had said "corner" and had shown him where. So they refused to fix it unless I pay more money and I wasn't willing to do that so I'm stuck.

My point is that if they do work in your house, be sure to stand over them and watch closely because if they make a mistake and you are anywhere close by then tough luck, you saw it and could've said something.

Called for service at a rental property and was told I would be called back that night but was not. Tech showed up the next morning with no notice to the tenant. The diagnosis was that the electric utility provider had a problem at the pole. I called the electric provider who did an extensive check and couldn't find anything. I paid $125 to A to Z for a service call that yielded nothing but wasted time. I ended up calling another electrician who corrected a bad main breaker ($45) in the box. Not exactly rocket science for an electrician.

Electrician who came out was great, but Jim (owner) is not the greatest. Company bills by the hour, not the job. Not willing to negotiate a flat rate for the work to be done, so beware of potential for excessive bill. Jim informed me that he doesn't bill for travel time when we first scheduled everything, then said he bills for it on the day of the work.

I specifically asked about travel time being billed based on experience with other companies that bill by the hour, and was very clearly told that they did not. I was upset when Jim tried to bill for it. Quality of the work was there- electrician who came out definitely knew what he was doing and was very friendly and professional. He gets 5+ stars in my book.

My experience with the owner was the disappointing part, however. Trying to bill for travel time- especially when it's going to push you over the 30 minute mark (pay for another full hour at $85/hour) is frustrating. Acted like he was doing me a favor by not charging for travel time in the end. Also, apparently 0830 to 1130 adds up to 4 hours in Jim's head. Glad we figured that out, too.

After calling a bunch of other electricians, including one that required a costly home visit just to get a quote, I called these guys. Instead of an answering machine, someone actually answered the phone and gave me a quote over the phone. Several e-mailed pictures and phone calls later, we had worked out a cheaper solution than the original worst-case scenario. An electrician came out the next morning and fixed our problem (disconnected high-voltage outlet for our dryer) quickly and inexpensively. Based on this experience I highly recommend A to Z due to their quick service and willingness to work with their customers to make sure they end up happy.

This experience was truly as good as it gets. We needed a whole new electrical panel system that included installing a new ground wire in our house. The guys at A to Z (Carey and JC) were very accommodating to our needs. The only thing that was uncooperative was the weather. We had to wait a couple days and use our electric sparingly, but once the weather broke they came and did the job in a couple hours.

Price wise they were significantly lower than the quotes that we received, and on par with the research that we did online. I trust them and would give my full recommendation to anyone that I know.
