Pioneer Fence

The acrylic patio cover we requested was like none other. It was a one off and had to be designed from scratch. Robert and his team had the "can do" attitude all the way through the project, and we couldn't be more pleased with the outcome. The form, fit and finish is spot on! I recommend them to everyone who is looking for a contractor for a outdoor fencing or patio project. Give them a call, you won't be disappointed. Kudos to the Pioneer Team!

Called and left a VERY detailed message about getting an estimate for a fence installation(detailed exactly what I wanted done). I never heard back from them. It would not have bothered me so much if they hadn't been referred to me by another company that was unable to help me (something I mentioned in the voice-mail). Very annoying. Don't know how this company is referred by others.

I had Pioneer install quote and install our patio cover. I enjoyed the whole process, from quoting to final delivery. Robert answered all of our questions and made very insightful recommendations regarding materials, colors and length options that ended up working very well for us. They are experienced, professional and neat team. Got everything installed, cleaned up and even put the patio furniture back under the cover in half a day. Thank you, Robert, John and Rick! Won't hesitate to use them again!

Although they seem to have done a good job on my fence, they have no regard for personal property. They showed no care at all when walking through my flower garden. They just walked wherever they felt like. Smashing my iris and lilys into non-existence. I have over 100 flowers that will not come up this year. Most of the lilys will not come back at all.

When confronted, I received little apology. No compensation. No discount. Only a statement that "we try to be careful". We will allow them to finish the back. But that is it.

Worth the wait! Pioneer just built an 8ft tall, 44' long horizontal cedar fence. Exceeded my expectations. They spent 3-1/2 days. Excellent finish work and attention to detail. Didn't cut corners. Fair price too! I'm confident my new fence will last many, many years. I highly recommend. Last photo is with stain 30days later.

I don't object to giving 5 star reviews but the vendor has to earn it. Everyone starts with 3 stars. I mean seriously, this is their business. Three stars ought to be an average job. Screw up and starrage goes down. Go above and beyond and starrage goes up. I was going to build this 15'x20' covered patio myself. But seriously, I own a business, I have a half dozen projects in one or another state of completion, and spring is on the way.

Some friends had used Pioneer and recommended them whole-heartedly. I did a little checking around and could have gotten a deck for a little less. But when we met with the owner, Robert, we brought a sheaf of illustrations of what we did and didn't want. He was very accommodating, offered some excellent suggestions, and gave us a quote that was right in line with our expectations and budget.

But I haven't gotten to the good part yet. The Pioneer crew that built our deck was exceptional. They did any number of little things that weren't precisely necessary by the terms of the contract. They were efficient, professional, friendly, and left the yard spotless. Most importantly, the deck surpassed all of our expectations.

My neighbor hired them. Washington state law requires they do a locate for underground services. Two things they did not do. locate the property line, or the underground utilities. According to the state law " If an underground utility is damaged as a result of a failure to comply with all the requirements of the new law, the party that failed to comply is liable not only for such damages, but also for the other party's reasonable attorney fees if any lawsuit is brought." When we called the office - the guy answering the phone stated that they were done digging - which was a BOLD FACED LIE - I was watching them still digging holes. Use anyone else - that actually follows the law.

Pioneer Fence Company exceeded my highest expectations. Our old fence had fallen down due to high winds so I got at least 4 contractors to come out and give us an estimate. Jennifer took my call and her husband Robert came as promised to give my neighbor and I an estimate since we share the fence. Robert was kind, thorough and professional. We did not feel pushed and he wrote us an estimate with a fair price after measuring and seeing everything that needed to be done. Robert even picked up the old fence to protect the grass and secured it since my neighbor couldn't do it because he just had surgery. Robert would always return my calls and answered all my questions.

Even though it was raining heavily when the guys came out to work on the fence, they were kind and worked very hard. I described how I wanted the gate to look like and it turned out even better than I expected. I will definitely hire Pioneer to work on my deck and patio cover needs. I saw a neighbor had a new patio that looked great. I asked who did it. I was told Pioneer Fence. I called Pioneer Fence on 6/3/19 and again on 6/5/19 and left a message both times. It has been over a week and they did not call back. Update: On 6/12/19 I received a phone call from Pioneer Fence apologizing for not getting back to me. I was told they were on a family vacation.

I think customer service could be improved if an outgoing message was left on the answering machine advising that calls would be returned upon return from vacation. On the positive side, in addition to apologizing Pioneer Fence stated they could come out the same day. I was busy so they came out the following day. They were on time, spent time looking at my patio cover issue and gave me a quote.

Robert and their team are just great. From beginning until the end of the job, they were professional, honest, and communicated well. We had a patio cover put up over our second story deck. Obtained bids from three other competitors and Pioneer was the lowest bid. I think that was because their bid was straight forward and not over priced to begin with and padded with "discount" room. Robert communicated well to set up a build day.

On day of build, Jonathan and Rick showed up and they were GREAT! Super professional and polite. Couldn't ask for a better crew. They took the time to make sure what we wanted and made great suggestions to improve the setup. Plus I love supporting our veterans too and the ones who sacrificed so much for our country!

Such a pleasure working with this company! They are very talented, professional, reliable and exceeded expectations. Just great guys and so pleased with their work!

Pioneer Deck and Fence was absolutely terrific! All the guys that came to our home were professional, efficient, and obviously cared about the work they did. We were happy with this project from the time Robert came to do the bid, until the final inspection was complete. The quality is outstanding. Pioneer did all the design work and made suggestion on lighting, and skylights, and the completed project is better than we ever hoped for. At a better price than most of the competitors. I would strongly recommend giving them a call if you are looking to have work done.

I had them build 200 feet of fence and a 20x10 awning over my deck.they did a fantastic job! A couple months after it was done I had a question and wanted a can of matching spray paint for the awning (if I needed it later) and they were happy to give it to me. GREAT JOB KELSO, WA.

I am currently rebuilding a fence that is 3 years old that Pioneer Fence built for a friend of mine in Hazel Dell WA. The main issues are many of the boards did not have nails in them or just had one nail each as well as the way they toenailed the 2x4 horizontals shows this company is subpar at construction.shoddy work! The fence is also starting to lean in a few sections leading to make me wonder if they know what a level is?

Robert and his team rebuilt our deck with high quality materials and with an attention to detail and precision that makes us love our deck. They were flexible and very responsive during the rebuild process. We highly recommend them!

Pioneer built an 8 foot swing gate for us on the side of our house. They tore out the old one and took all of the scraps and built the new one with in a couple of days. The price, and services received were excellent.

I asked to have my old pillars removed and replaced with something that fit the exterior of my home. I really didn't have any idea what I wanted or what would look good so left it up to them. The finished product looked amazing! They came to my house while I was at work and replaced the pillars, cleaned up the old mess, and left me with a beautiful end result.

I've talked to many people who have used Pioneer Fence, Deck & Patio Cover for their large upscale projects to the simple ones like mine (I do my research before hiring someone), and everyone has been very pleased. I'm not sure what that one person on this site who rated them with only one star experienced, but i'm sure it is not as bad as he/she says (over reaction, perhaps?). We began searching for a company to replace our fence last fall because ours was beginning to fall apart. We were also looking to have a deck built in our small, condo sized backyard. Pioneer was the first company to arrive and after having several others out following their visit, we decided to go with them. It was an excellent choice indeed! The fence and deck came out beautifully, everyone was very professional all the way down the line and the jobs were top notch. We are very much looking forward to BBQing this year on the new deck, that is if we ever get an actual summer!

We had an 8 ft gate installed by pioneer fence, deck & patio covers. They tore down and hauled the old one away, and got the new gate up in no time. The new gate is built strong so it won't sag over time and at a very fare price. I would definitely use them again for any fencing deck or patio cover needs.

We've had four fences built in our 30+'year home ownership career, and this is by far the best! These guys know what they're doing and the care and focus in getting it right is exceptional.
