Rick's Custom Fencing & Decking

I would like to let the owners/supervisors from Rick's Custom Fencing that we are delighted and pleased about the custom gate construction and installation that we received today from our installers Allen Smith and Aaron Jensen. They were very professional, highly skilled and very respectful of our property during the installation. They kept me informed during the process, quick and hard-working and did so with minimal disturbance to myself and our neighbors. The men that did the work were extremely courteous and tok the time to adequately answer any and all questions and concerns that I had. The were extremely professional. Allen Smith, Aaron Jensen and Jason Arramchuck are OUTSTANDING workers. The gate that they installed is fantastic. Everyone I had contact with did fantastic jobs -- the estimator, office staff and the workers. I was kept informed as to the work to be done and potential delays.

I had Rick's of Vancouver, Wa install a cover on my patio. The installation was placed flat over the patio. This does not allow the water to drain properly. Therefore, the water runs down both sides of the patio onto the cement below. This defeats the purpose of having a cover to protect us from the rain. I've tried to get a fix on this problem to absolutely no avail. Chris, the manager, insisted it wasn't the installation's fault. Therefore, I should pay more to get the tilt put into the cover to allow the water to flow off properly. This, of course, is ludicrous! They promised to give us a proper installation by late February (the cover was installed Dec. 14, 21). It is STILL NOT REDONE.WITH NO APOLOGIES FROM THE COMPANY!

Allen and Eric did a fantastic job. The entire process from procurement and measurements with Steve and the execution of work from Allen and Eric was flawless. When they're were digging for the posts they hit a 200+ pound boulder but figured out how to remove it and continue they're work. I didn't even know about it until I saw the rock off to the side. They didn't complain or tell 'em it was an extra cost, they just handled it. I'll use Rick's again for sure.

We had a custom picture frame fence installed with the addition of two new gates. Previously there was a chain link fence on one side and a falling over wooden fence. The new fence has transformed the space and provided a new container to create a beautiful, private backyard. I do want to acknowledge the install crew, Allen, Tyler and Skyler, for their hard work. Allen was a great crew lead and worked tirelessly alone for a good chunk of the install in the pouring rain.

I know you all were short staffed after the holidays and Allen is to be commended for keeping a positive attitude during the whole project. I also wish to thank Kevin from sales for his help with mapping out the details and ensuring we had the design we wanted. Thank so much!

We had a 12 x 20 composite deck built with a bench and it is beautiful! Rick's is well known and did not disappoint. They were professional, knowledgeable and personable throughout the process and even started and finished the job a day early! Stu was very helpful with the initial vision and Zach and Orlando did great work!

We love our new Pergola! Rick's built us a custom cedar pergola and it exceeds our expectations. The craftsmanship is outstanding. The wood is beautiful and it's super sturdy. It's totally changed the look of house and gives us so much more useable outdoor space. Rick's is one of the easiest companies I've worked with too -- from quote to scheduling to installation. They had fair, straightforward pricing. Our crew was David and Mamed and they were great and easy to communicate with. Thanks guys!

Rick's built us a brand new 6 ft cedar picture frame fence and gate and we couldn't be happier with the whole experience. Kevin Miller was our estimator and was friendly, informative and really responsive when we had some changes to make to the plan after we had a survey done. Tyler W. and Alex were our installers and they finished the job fast and were great communicators. So glad we chose Rick's, we'd hire them again in the future for sure. The fence and gate are both gorgeous!

Scott and David installed our new deck and we couldn't be happier with it. They were professional, courteous and worked non-stop during the four days of the demolition of the old deck including removing and hauling away an old hot tub and the creation of our lovely new one. We highly recommend them.

I had Rick's remove, salvage and install a new chain link fence with privacy slats on 6/23. The crew was professional, courteous and respectful. The crew was aware of the flowers close to the fence and managed to not disturb them in the removal of the old fence and installation of the new fence.

Jason and his crew did a wonderful job. Jason installed a black vinyl chain link fence and I love it. It makes my yard look bigger and uncluttered. Jason took the time before installing it to run a string line and show me the terrain differences and how to best address them. Because of the communication before hand.there were no surprises and everyone was on the same page.

Special thanks to John Distifeno for installing my Pergolas. John installed the top slats on the pergolas closer together than normal, so I can have more shade for me and my dog.

We just redid our fence and I thought they did a terrific job. They also did our decks a few years back and we were very happy with that; we joke that when the Big One hits, we're just going to run out onto the deck.

Jason and Luke were very efficient and professional while installing our Ecostone wall. The results exceeded our expectations and we love the outcome as a great addition to our garden. Thank you Jason and Luke for doing an excellent job.

My deck still holds water, it's the kind that doesn't drain the rain through so it must be properly sloped. They sent a crew out at least 5 times but never got it right.

So, I am not sure my last review went through.just in case, here it is again! We called Rick's to install a very long fence in our backyard. Levi, Jacob, and Jesse did the work and did a marvelous job!

Bill and Mark installed custom fencing around our pool today and did a phenomenal job! This is the 3rd time they have installed a fence at our home. They are dependable, fast and friendly. I would highly recommend them for any fencing needs.

James and Jake from Rick's Fencing in Vancouver provided absolute top quality work and customer service. They tackled a complicated deck tear off and install on time and on budget. Never satisfied until they ensured we were 100% satisfied, they worked to correct a coloring issue from the manufacturer.

OH MY GOSH. beyond our expectations! Our first contact was with Jonny Ornstein salesman. He took time with us and gave us much information, a quote on the new deck and said to call anytime with further questions. We called numerous times and he was so helpful, and never pushy. The day we went in to arrange the installation of the new deck we met John Distifeno the Crew Manager.
