This plumbing company always gets it fixed the first time around. They always seem to have the parts they need and they show up on time and get the job done. I have quite a few rental properties and their one of only two plumbers I use regularly. They are my first call. Sometimes there response time can be a little lengthy but that's is probably because they're so good at what they do.
I even use them on my own home to completely re-pipe under the house which they did it a very reasonable price and finished quickly. That was over 10 years ago and have never had a problem since.

Adam has repeatedly done an amazing job for us! He was a referral from a family friend and I'm so thankful to have found him! Plumbing issues might be one of the most stressful situations to be in and after having a not-so-pleasant experience with another plumber I thought it might be impossible to find someone reliable, trustworthy and pleasant to work with. Adam and Power Plumbing have saved us twice now and beyond just doing quality work, he really goes above and beyond for customer service. I can't recommend enough!

OK. I called them and left a message for a quote to replace the water main and sewer line to my home. A gal named Kristie responded to my inquiry and claimed that a technician would contact me by the end of the business day for the appointment and quote. The day ended and I never received a contact from anyone. I live directly behind their business location, approximately 600 feet away, less than 1 minutes driving time or a four minute walk.
If this is their typical response time, then I can't imagine how much time would transpire if it were an emergency. Thanks, but no thanks. I'll just find another local plumbing company that cares about responding in a timely manner. Update as of 3-23-2021: You claim that you try to return calls within 1 full business day, however, how do you explain never returning my call?
I waited three weeks without receiving a response from you before writing this review. Well Kristie, this is the only response I've ever received from you people and it's hardly a timely or direct method of responding to a customers inquiry. Next time try calling the customers home or cell phone instead of leaving an indirect lame response to a review left on YOUR website.
Hey Kristie, if responding to a review that was generated three weeks after an inquiry qualifies as responding to a customer in a timely manner, then you and your project coordinator have alot to learn about customer service. To clarify what occured in our conversation I NEVER claimed it was an emergency nor did I ever receive a return call from anyone at your business, that includes you and the service coordinator.and I waited 3 weeks before posting this review.
So don't cry foul for an event that NEVER occured, and to be clear, YOU guys NEVER responded to my inquiry and that's pathetic for any contractor busy or otherwise. I also NEVER said my project was an emergency, instead I expressed in the first paragraph of this review that "I can't imagine how much time would transpire if it were an emergency" because you idiots NEVER responded to my initial inquiry.
How dare you blame your incompetence on an exchange that NEVER occured. NOW YOU'RE DECEPTIVE.That's more pathetic and inexcusable than never responding to an inquiry. GOOD LUCK WITH THIS BUSINESS MODEL, YOU'LL DEFINITELY NEED IT.

Carl is to main line plumbing what a surgeon is to the circulatory system. Since I had dug up the soil and lifted the culvert, he had the leak that I couldn't find and it's cause diagnosed in 10 minutes. Two treatment plans were offered for potential immediate fix and probable permanent fix. (Hope the Portland Water Bureau will be able to help me with a leakage rebate.) So thankful for his recent visit to bid the job.
So fortunate he is in the area and so knowledgeable just like those at U of W who isolated the antibody to shutdown the virus a couple days goes. Carl brings hope, powerful hope to our community's aging infrastructure. If you need real help for a real repair this company has what it takes and is honest about it.

Power Plumbing to the rescue! We had a nightmare scenario where a drain pipe had rotted out under the foundation of our house. The job entailed zipping open the foundation of our house and replacing the pipe that was buried under concrete. They were up front about scheduling concerns, and the folks that came out for the work were courteous and thoughtful throughout the whole process. The job got done quickly and at a really reasonable price, all things considered. Thanks again!

We are very particular in whom we choose to service our home. We have homes in multi-states and find Portland a challenge to secure SOLID folks. Well, look no further than Power Plumbing. Absolute straight-forward and no-nonsense. It was the holiday and we had a small leak. After contacting over 5-other companies who could come sometime in February OR for an ADDED sur-charge.blah.we found Power Plumbing and they came within a couple of days and no holiday surcharge. OMG.only in Portland do folks charge for that kind of nonsense.
Or there is always, you have to pay for my mileage to get to your house?! I will never understand. Anywho, need a SOLID plumbing company, these are YOUR folks and now MINE! LOVE THEM! THANK YOU, THANK YOU Power Plumbing!

Originally called for a water main break. Two guys came out. Chris and I don't know the name of the younger one who was digging trenches in our yard. We have had nothing but issues with the areas they dug up. Carl who is the manager has never even come to the property. They now claim that our sprinkler system piping is thin and needs to be replaced with thicker so that's why it broke.
We realize the piping could be thicker however we have had NO issues anywhere else othe property except where they worked. Completely unprofessional in follow up. Beware and find someone else.

Our water would not stop running in the tub. I called nearly 30 places in town to get help and all but two were too busy to get us in today. The first company showed up, refused service unless we signed off that it was OK if they made the situation worse, and was going to charge $170/hour. Well, I am not dumb and I sent them away. I'd rather wait a day to use the water than work with someone like that.
Just after I sent them away, the office of Power Plumbing called me back from my inquiry earlier in the day to let me know one plumber finished a bit early and could come take a look. Steve arrived and SAVED THE DAY! We have a 66 year old house with original plumbing and he not only stopped the flowing water but also stopped the leak that was there and fixed the ever-spinning water levers. AND he was so pleasant. Oh, and this was all done for less than the cost of one hour with the other company. Finally, my husband who works in commercial construction arrived home and said he loves Power Plumbing and uses them all the time on his jobs.

I can tell that Customer Service is there top Priority. I was tasked on Monday to get a plumber out to fix the water heater at work (no hot water employees had to take cold showers). All of the other plumbing companies told me that they could not help until the the end of the week or some even told me that I would have to wait until the following Monday. Kristie at Power Plumbing took the challenge and got someone out right away. Adam was great he replaced the hot water heater, and fixed a few other problems. Power Plumbing will be my first choice to call in the future for work and for my personal home! They are by far the best company, and they have the best customer service.

This Fall I had a leak in my water system. My home is 71 years old, and we still had a lot of galvanized pipes throughout the house, and this was the second leak I had experienced. My former plumbing company wasn't doing small repair jobs any longer, but they referred me to Power Plumbing. I called Kristie in Customer Service and she was great. Steve came out to my house and did a great job repairing the leak.
In the process he mentioned that his company could replace all of the galvanized piping with plastic piping, since it was reaching the end of its useful live. Carl came out and gave me a very competitive bid for the job, which I accepted. On a Tuesday Milo, Adam and Taylor showed up and they worked diligently over the next four days to complete the work.
They were very pleasant to have around, they worked hard, cleaned up after themselves every night, and in the process improved the appearance of the water system and value of my home. I would recommend this company and their employees without reservation.

I wish I could give a proper review of this company, but I can't even get them to call me back to schedule a time to take a look at the issue I'm having. I've tried twice now. both times I've called I've spoken to some very nice office ladies. but where's the follow-thru? My first call was routed to the person's voicemail that does estimates, I left a message, and 3 weeks later, still no call back.
Second attempt, I requested a call back through their website, which they did same day, and I explained my situation again and said I had called before and never received a call back. She apologized and said I would definitely receive a call back this week. Well, it's the end of the week and no call back. I'm so done trying to give them my business.

Power Plumbing has ignored my six messages, being told by anyone I reach in the office the owner will be getting back to me, for an itemized bill or explanation of charges. The bill was paid immediately and we are not arguing charges, but the guy was at my house for less than 40 minutes and we had a bill for over $300. All I have been requesting was an explanation of charges.
It wasn't an emergency visit, not on a weekend or holiday, and when I asked the guy while he was leaving what the service charge just to come to the house was he replied "I don't know the office takes care of that" and left, also taking one of our moving blankets that we put on the floor so any water was caught. While they got the job done, and it was a simple job cleaning a clogged line, I would never use this company unless you know the price up front.

I have used Power Plumbing's services several times and each time I have been more than happy with the work done; everything from unclogging a drain to installing a fixture for me. The women in the service department are very friendly and knowledgeable, and if an event arises they don't know the answer to, they make sure to ask someone who does. My family always uses them and we will continue to do so in the future.

Fantastic! I highly recommend Power Plumbing for all your plumbing needs. The quality of workmanship, extremely fair pricing and exceptional customer service was a pleasant surprise! Steve was friendly, knowledgeable, arrived on time and worked quickly & with precision. I wish we had discovered Power Plumbing sooner as the last 2 plumbers we hired were messy, unprofessional and charged us for 'travel' time and other b.s. I'm glad Power Plumbing has integrity and we will definitely hire them again.

Guys who installed and removed my old water heater were great and did an awesome job. However, they accidentally took a sealed box of dryer parts that were not theirs to take. This was especially frustrating considering that my dryer was also delivered and installed today, and I needed those parts for installation. I called the service department and they sent someone over with them but unfortunately arrived too late.
Now I'm dealing with moving into my home tomorrow without a functioning dryer, and out $150 for installation. I do feel the company is honest otherwise and didn't dilly dally around or overcharge me. It is just unfortunate that this honest mistake made my move more difficult. I do appreciate their prompt fixing of the issue which is why I didn't mark the company lower. However, I do not appreciate taking boxes that are clearly marked with a name other than the installer, and will not be using this plumber in the future if other issues arise.
I felt they could've offered me compensation for my installation I did not receive due to their error, which I would've used their services in the future if they had. Will not recommend to friends and family, either.

Had these guys come out for a leaking hot water heater. Guy said tank was leaking. Had to put in a new one. Tank in use for only 6 years. He pulled it and put in a new one. Charged me, and took off before I could ask to see where the old one was leaking. Guess what! The new tank leaks just like the old one did. Called them back. There would be a service charge.
I told lady that when looking at the new leak, I was close enough to notice a gas smell from the weld spot. Ok. She would send someone out. Guy squirted soapy water. Yes, there was a leak (nice job, installer). He also said the water heater needed an expansion tank to the tune of $350 plus, but luckily that includes installation. Yippee. I am wondering if this wasnt the problem with the 6 year old tank. Who knows? I never got to see it before it was hauled off! Also, only 30 day warranty on labor. Is this the industry standard?

I called on a Tuesday and got an appointment for Wednesday, but the plumber was actually able to make it out to our place the same day! He was able to fix both of our toilets within an hour, and the fees were very reasonable. I was very pleased with Power Plumbing and would recommend them in a heartbeat.

Recently, I was hit with three plumbing issues at one time, due in part to the heavy snowfall and freeze of mid-Jan 2017! Sewer plug-up, broken water heater in additional dwelling and waterline break to same! Comes in three's you know! Anyway, trying to locate assistance on these issues was like pulling teeth--everyone was having the same problems.
I ended up on 4 waitlists with individual companies and many others were just too far out to wait! So, while I got the sewer issue particularly fixed--seems the real problem is mostly roots in the city's section of our line--to be fixed soon, the water heater replaced, and the broken pipe fixed (see review for Frontier Plumbing), I needed to take my name off of those waiting lists.
Anyone with proper business sense would do the same! In calling Power Plumbing, and speaking to Kristin, who has been with the company for 17 years, I was given much insight into things I could do as follow-up to water and sewer issues! She suggested I check with the city on the reason for the spike in my water bill and perhaps it should have been checked, as something unusual.
The pipe that has now been fixed--by Jeff, from Frontier Plumbing--might have been leaking for some time before cracking big time. Basic city meter checks should have/could have noted this earlier! Maybe a bill adjustment could be had. Never know, unless you check! As for further discussion, I mentioned the rather spending coupler placed on that discovered leaking pipe, and where I might get one.
She mentioned Ferguson's, and Keller as two plumbing supply locations. Good things to know when I do this work later, if needed! We spoke for many minutes and I feel that while I did not use them for my aforementioned issues, it is good to know there are helpful, longstanding businesses out there that are more than willing to help the private citizen, even if that business did not get the job at the time. Three cheers for Power Plumbing! Thank you, Kristin!

The reviews below look paid for. Sure, the job was fine, but the guy worked maybe a half hour and charged me $150 for a valve change when I was quoted around $120. Not satisfied. Going elsewhere next time. As a side note - much better than 5 Mountain plumbing - who are an utter rip off when it comes to price.

I don't write many reviews, but this team deserved it. I wanted to save my husband from another frustrating kitchen faucet install, so I called about 10 plumbers -- all were booked up, and the one that gave me pricing wanted to charge $300. I called Power Plumbing, and they -- too -- were booked up, but offered to call me if anyone finished a job early.
Sure enough, a few hours early I got the call, and 1 1/2 hours later, my new faucet was installed by the nicest plumber. He did it with perfectly, and all within the 1 hour minimum charge of $124.50. What a bargain, and what a great surprise for my husband. THANKS!
