One of the best and most professional experiences I've ever had with a Locksmith. Before coming here, I had a negative perception of what Locksmiths could be. After spending 20 minutes with Dom, I was totally blown away by his expertise and his willingness to just figure out the issue with my door lock. It was incredible and I will ONLY be doing business with these guys in the future. YOU should too. Incredible.

Awful communication, very, very slow and vague response.although great field techs (reason for the second star). They may be great at helping you if you're locked out, but if you need anything else, I'd use a different company. I've been trying to replace our lockset for the door of our condo since July. Called this company and they sent someone out to look.

The tech said it's an interconnected lockset so they needed to check if they had to order it. A week goes by - no communication on if they had it, so I contacted them. They said they were checking their stock (for a week). Another 10 days go by and nothing from them, so I contact them again. They say they need to order it and it'll be about 6 weeks.

So over 2 weeks of no communication.and seems no action on their part. September 2 they finally come to install the lockset. The manufacturer sent the wrong parts so could not install. They tell me they'll check to see when they can get what we need. So that same day I sent a detailed message with what we needed and we need to just get this done.since I had no idea if the office knew what was going on and/or if they were doing anything.

No response until 8 days later."We are expecting to get the parts next week and will contact you as soon as we get the parts." Over two months wasted and had to chase these guys to get ANY information from them. I ended up ordering the parts needed myself and have a different company (which is responsive) lined up to install.

Very kind and polite honest and even had a bit of a sense of humor. It copied a key for me that was somewhat difficult and it worked perfectly.

Went in for an Automotive key after spending over a month going back and forth with a different shop for the same key and having it cut wrong twice. They completed the cut and programming in less than 10 minutes, works flawlessly, highly impressed.

Knowledgeable staff, decent prices, not covid safe. Both associates had their noses uncovered, and one of them had his mask completely off before I entered the store.

These guys know their stuff. I ordered two GM remotes because my old one just stopped working for no reason. One of the remotes they got in didn't work, so after some investigation, the main guy that works there figured it out. I forgot his name unfortunately. Not only that, he didn't charge me the extra it costed for the OEM remote, and he got the old one working again.

So now I have three remotes total (had a newer one as well as the original before I started all this) and I only was charged for one regular new one. I got more than I wanted, and they charged me cost and ate the difference for their mistake (which was actually a shipping mistake) and my hassle. Absolutely recommend these guys, professional!

Super quick, efficient, and friendly! I called midday on a Saturday about a house lockout. They had someone over less than an hour later. He got us in very quickly (much faster than the last locksmith did, the one other time this happened)! Very reasonable cost and everyone I dealt with was friendly and professional. They'll be my first call if (most likely WHEN) we have another lockout!

I was quoted at 110 for a spare key buy i had my broken key with me. The guys were darn honest of telling me that they can replace only the blade part of the key. I have an 2003 Jetta. They replaced the blade of the key for 39$. They could have charged me 112 for making me another key. On top of that they are the most affordable guys in town for this service. All the other 4 places were charging for the same key between 186-245$. Thank you guys. Really appreciate it. And it was worth driving fron Vancouver to Beaverton.

They were able to program my Volvo key and remote for a reasonable price and I didn't have to go to the dealership

I talked to Bill, he was very patient, had me try a couple of things, they didn't work, so he sent out some help.

When the locksmith from A-Max got there I was on a conference call for my job, he got my rental car key fob, figured out the issue, reprogrammed the car and everything was great! I got to my job, finished it, made it to the rental car return and made my flight back home. I couldn't have done it without the help of A-Max Security Solutions! Thank you!

Tried to set up an appointment with them, and was quoted "mid day" the technichian, Matt, took another job in front of his appointment, tried to make it seem like it was the job he was doing befores fault not the fact that he had a mid day appt and tried to show up at my house at 2:35 for the appt. I waited until he got here, asked him why it took him so long to get here, then asked him to leave. I purposefully wasted the technicians time because he wasted mine. You shouldn't treat customers like that.

Their customer service is impeccable. I recently lost the “master” key and FOB for my Toyota Sienna. The dealership quoted almost $500 to replace, and said it would take at least two hours. I purchased a Toyota transponder key and FOB elsewhere and A-MAX did the programming in less than 15 minutes for $60. A-MAX saved me hundreds of dollars. They are fantastic.

Can't go wrong with A-Max. Very friendly and knowledgeable. I would not hesitate to call with any key or lock needs.

I was almost ran off the road this morning by 1 of the drivers who thought I was going to slow on the freeway. mind you I was doing 60 in a 55. He swerves around me and literally pushes his way next to me forcing me to the side as to not collide. I honked and my response was a middle finger. Mind you my grandchild was in the car. Very unprofessional and super scary/dangerous. I will never use this company based on that persons rude and road rage behavior.

After gone thru several places looking for a key fitting in my mailbox. I was able to find one here
The sale person was knowledgeable and patient taking time to explain to me how to put the key lock together and it's cost me $7 instead of replacing the whole mailbox

Went to these guys this afternoon to get a key for the toolbox that came with my used truck. They pulled the key from the code on the lock, tested the key, and found the latching mechanism had been knocked out of whack at some point, not allowing the box to lock - so one of the guys spent 15min in the freezing cold fixing the latch so the lock would work, and wouldn't charge me. Nicest guys, top notch service, absolutely recommend.

Had to call to get my house unlocked late at night. Locksmith was friendly, knowledgeable and patient with my extremely old locks. Great service. Highly recommend!

Very pleasurable experience throughout with A-MAX. Bill was great for ease of scheduling and their pricing was upfront and clear for what I was asking for. I was looking to rekey my entire house and add some deadbolts so it was a larger residential job. I felt like I laid out what I wanted pretty clearly, and Bill was able to give me an accurate ballpark of the total instead of just quoting rates, which was great. Matt came out (on time) and had a great attitude.

A true professional. Matt was extremely helpful and make you feel at ease with understanding what and why he's doing the things he's done. Has lots of handy gigs and techniques for making sure the job comes out perfect. He even corrected a few things that we wrong on the existing hardware. Was able to install the hardware that I had purchased previously at the hardware store.

They also have some inventory on the truck (which we had to use because I missed counting a deadbolt in my basement), but there is a markup for the convenience. Part of this cost is that these are a grade higher than you can find in a hardware store, so your getting a superior product, but it may not be what you "need" for your situation, just a heads up.

Overall the job went really smoothly. The extra tasks that I found I needed done were added onto my list easily, without a separate trip out. They were reflected on the final bill, and laid out clearly as to how these extra requests impacted the quote.

Even luckier, Shane came out and did an amazing job. It took him all but 30 seconds to get the door unjammed, and another 3 minutes to install the new door handle. While there, Shane checked the remaining doors in the house for issues. Aside from this, he made my quirky dog comfortable, a feat in and of itself.

Here's hoping you never need a locksmith, but if you do, Shane works quickly and smart!

Look elsewhere. I went to get keys programed for my vehicle. The locksmith ran into issues as my battery was weak. He put a charger on the vehicle, then preceded to help four customers before getting back to my vehicle. What should of taken an hour max ended up taking more than two hours. Now the locksmith was the only one in the shop but he should of readdressed my vehicle after helping a couple of customers not all four. As a former mechanic I understand that some flexibility is required, but he inadvertently wasted more than an hour of my life.

Avoid the amateurs. Matt went above and beyond to help me with my broken auto key. The quote was fair and the service exceptional. I'll never go any where else. Thanks again.

This morning (5:20AM) I locked the keys in the car while the engine was running when I called the dispatcher said it would take 60 minutes before they could provide assistance. 15 minutes later the president, Bill, who was on call and not working his regular shift, explained the process and has my car unlocked quickly. It was wonderful! Thank you!

Shane Anderson was truly a life-saver! A few weeks ago I accidentally locked my 2 month old in the car in the Walgreens parking lot! I was hysterical and the police told me "legally, there's nothing we can do because he's not in immediate danger".Shane arrived within minutes and quickly unlocked the doors while helping calm me down and assuring me that "it happens all the time, don't be too hard on yourself". Shane from A-MAX did a great job. After buying a house and finding out the previous owners not only lost their mailbox key and only used a keypad to get into the house, we scheduled A-MAX to replace the mailbox lock and re-key all the doors. Shane installed a new mailbox lock and re-keyed the existing house doors and deadbolts for us. He's passionate about his work and it shows. He explained what he was doing when re-keying and answered all of our questions. The next time we need a locksmith, we're going to request Shane to help us out.

A-MAX saved my weekend! Came home from work Friday night to find the bathroom door, to my one and only bathroom, was locked from the inside. I tried to get the handle to budge to no avail. A-MAX showed up soon after I placed a call for service. I found out not only was the door locked, but the handle was broken! Not to worry - the door was open again before I knew it. The whole process, from repair to payment, took no more than 10 minutes, and I was able to relax. A-MAX is awesome!

They may be okay for small, residential services but they are not adequate for business purposes. They were supposed to provide a quote for several locks, keys, etc. for a business (work would be thousands ) -- we had to ask them twice for the information after 2+ weeks of waiting.they didn't bother to call back or explain.just dropped the ball.

They are clearly in over their heads in handling professional work -- avoid them, not worth the trouble. Also, Paul is snarky and Bill doesn't bother to call back. Matt is not too bad.

Two days ago we were locked out. We just got back from Asia and it had been a long trip and my two boys (9 and 6 years old) have not slept in more than 24 hours and were really exhausted. We depended too much on technology (wifi) to open our garage door but the router was not working. We called the first locksmith we could find and regretted it immediately.

The guy was driven by his girlfriend on a beat-up car and was jiggling the lock with screwdriver for more than 50 minutes. I decided to call A-MAX after getting a recommendations from our friend. Bill went above and beyond to quickly get us in. We are very pleased with the service and professionalism. I bought a replacement remote and blank chip key online for my Chevy. After trying various methos posted online on how to program the remote for my car, I find out that I really needed to take it to locksmith or the dealer. After seeing the reviews for this place, I tried them out. I was expecting to pay $150-$200 to get the remote programmed, the key cut, and the key chip programming. The person who did the work was great. And the grand total - $28! I will definitely recommend. Thanks!

No other locksmith in Oregon or anywhere near comes close to the A-MAX level of professionalism. Whether its auto, residential or commercial work you need A-MAX is your company.if you contact your product manufacturer, odds are they will refer A-MAX. 

We use Ray Siebert from AMAX for all of our security key/fobs needs. Ray services the Hillsboro area and has always provided us with top notch service. His ability to contact us or our customers quickly makes our customers and us completely satisfied.

Our safe was broken and A-MAX was able to come and fix it the next day. Very friendly and they explained everything thoroughly. The service charge was much less than we were expecting.

Very helpful with free advice. I've gotten several new cylinders here and they re-keyed them with matching keys. The parking lot is uber small, but the retail space is clean and well done. Also, learned something new while waiting: they carry aftermarket housings for your busted up car key fob. That will save me a $100 next time I need one of those!

I am an apartment Manager and use A-Max all the time. They have great customer service and I have never had them make me a key that did not work, like other places that I have had keys made. I will not use any other company to make my keys.

The guys at a-max are really something out of this world. there is absolutely nothing they cant get done. any job big or small they have a specialist to assist you. dealing with other companies in the past, its usually been rookie shows up.calls office for help where they send an advanced rookie who still cant get the job done.

I have used AMAX and Bill for a few years now. Bill and his crew do a great job, show up, on time and are always helpful. They have done anything from opening a locked car door to reprogramming ECMs and keys. They really do it all, but one interaction with them put them at the top. It was a cold clear winter morning. We may have had hopes to reaching 60 degrees if it were not for that darn wind.

It was a winter day that leaves you in hopes for summer, but we know that rain will come back. Bill was here to reprogram an ECM for me, but lo and behold the car was taken on a drive, making Bill wait 30 minutes for the car to return. I don't know about all you yelp heads out there, but I like to be paid for my time, but Bill understood mistakes happened.

It ended up that in that 30 minutes, we laughed, we cried, but more importantly he did not make us feel bad or charge us for his wasted time. Thanks Bill. You guys are the best!

Ken & Bill helped me fix a poorly installed front door lock-set that a 24/7 dispatch style locksmith (with no address) really messed up. This is a very nice $200 fancy set. Luckily Bill helped me take apart the incorrectly installed lock and had special parts on hand to correct the faulty work.
