We've now had Cal Air for routine HVAC maintenance. Vincent, our technician (both times because we requested him after first visit), is gr8! He's friendly (with our dogs as well as us!) & explains things clearly in a respectful manner. This is a blessing since we are seniors & have, unfortunately, experienced undue pressure/upselling from other companies in the past.

Alberto and his team did the work extremely well. I enjoyed working with the Cal Air team on this project. It was a positive experience getting an estimate from Cal Air for a replacement system for my heating and cooling needs. The office staff was polite and worked me into the schedule right away. Orlando arrived within the designated time block and gave clear descriptions for some of the technical questions I had. I do think they offer a solid product and should be included in one's research when choosing a company to install a new heating/cooling system.

My husband and I love this company! We just had a new AC installed at our new house. We used them at our old house and recommended them to my In Laws. Alonso and his team came in, kept me updated, and helped me with setting up the app to my phone to control the temperature. They are on time, professional and crazy friendly!

This company impressed me every step of the way. To begin, they scheduled my appointment within an hour. Tech showed up and was very nice and knowledgeable. He did the requested work, didn't try to upsell me any services for either of my two very old AC units, which he probably easily could. He also told me all the numbers on his gauges for both of my AC units were compliant with the age of them, which is great news to hear!
Thank you very much to everyone involved in setting up the most efficient appointment, and to the tech for doing a great job cleaning these super dirty AC units! They look great, but best of all, they work!

I called CalAir out for several issues I was having with my AC unit. A few things were diagnosed; two being low on refrigerant and a faulty control board. In the process of troubleshooting something went wrong and my thermostats went down. Most likely incorrect voltage was sent to them from the furnace or faulty control board troubleshoot. Rather than leaving me and family in the heat they took full responsibility and swapped out my two nest thermostats. Very honorable and considerate of the company. Everything was timely and we are back to cooling, and we'll make it through this Vegas heat!

I called Alonso at 8:40 last night telling him my air conditioner died. He said he can be here at 7:00am next morning. He did a curtesy call at 6:30 and was here right at 7. He was very thorough and explained everything as he went. Showed us the part that was bad, and explained the air conditioner was probably blowing warm air for awhile and didn't even notice it. Within 10 minutes my air was blowing cold air and WOW. what a difference. I highly recommend Alonzo at Cal Air. Thank you Alonzo!

I just had to leave this review even though Cal Air did not perform a service for me. I am presently renting a house while we settle and decide where to buy. The AC went out and the mgr company dispatched Cal Air. Apparently, there was a home warranty on the home and Cal Air's appt was cancelled by the mgt co. Cal Air has no obligation to me at all since I am the 3rd party.
However not only did THEY text me and let me know they would not be coming, but proceeded to let me know the status and details. In my opinion, if they have this customer service BEFORE the job (that they didn't even get), I assume the service after must be fantastic. When I settle and need an HVAC company in the future, Cal Air will already be in my contacts list.

My central AC was starting to blow less then cold air so I called Cal Air to give me an estimate. Fernando arrived and started making his checks. He told me the refrigerant levels were low so there might be a leak. So he filled up the refrigerant to add pressure so he can detect the leak easier. Then he turned on the unit and told me the noise it's making is an indicator that the compressor bad.
The only noise I noticed is when the fan starts to spin it makes a noise before it spins at full speed. At that point I started to second guess what he was saying. After 30 min of checking he informed me my compressor needs to be replaced but it's under warrantee so I'll only need to pay for labor. The estimate he gave me was $1040. He also said he turned of the unit from the outside to prevent further damage to the unit.
At this point I wanted to get a second opinion as I wasn't convinced I needed a new compressor. So I called Kyle from Desert West Services Inc for an estimate. When he arrived and was checking my ac he noticed the unit was shut off. I explained to him what happened so he turned it on and checked the compressor. He said it was working fine and it did not need to be replaced!
He checked all the other levels and everything check out as ok! The only issue he noticed is the unit was left on the off position! It was obvious that the only reason Fernando placed the unit on the off position was so I wouldn't know that my AC was working fine. When Fernando filled up my ac with refrigerant it solved the problem but Cal Air wanted me to pay for a new compressor! Shitty ass scammers got caught shame on you! You guys suck 1 star for you!

I received estimates from 3 different companies Cal Air gave me the lowest price for a new AC unit, furnace and WiFi thermostat. 3 techs: Alberto, Fernando and Victor installed my new equipment. The mark of ethics and perfection for contractors and companies in the home service business is an extremely satisfied customer on a job where "Nothing Goes Right" Cal Air Cooling and Heating experienced one challenge after another in installing a new heater and air conditioner in my older home. Everything that could go wrong did. but there was never a raised voice or any expressed dissatisfaction in what turned out to be a two week project. Cal Air went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect.
They communicated! They took responsibility! They were punctual and professional! I will use this company and refer them for any need in the future. They are exemplarily in every regard. My experience with them is one hundred percent satisfaction!

I had Cal Air replace my HVAC system. While the job is not yet completed, I am being annoyed everyday with Cal Air emails to write a review. I explained that the job isn't done and that I haven't yet had the time to evaluate the entire job. After all, you don't replace an entire HVAC system and know immediately if all is well! I further explained that I typically do write reviews and if they'll just finish the job and give me time to ensure that all is working well, I will write a review.
That fell on deaf ears. All I got in response is that the requests for reviews are automated - as if that can't be corrected. So, Cal Air, here you go. I'm hopeful that your requests for reviews will finally stop now. UPDATE: For the first two weeks following the installation of the new system, the system did not work properly. It was turning on and off continually and when it turned on, it made a loud noise.
After two weeks and six technicians, they finally figured out that the thermostat was not installed and programmed properly. Now, I'm nervous. If an HVAC company doesn't know how to install and program a thermostat, what confidence can I have that they installed an entire HVAC system properly? I had Cal Air take back their "$300 thermostat" ($79 on Amazon) and replace it with my old $25 thermostat.
System is working well now, but still makes more noise than did the system they replaced, which was 29 years old. Happy to say that the emails have stopped, but perhaps it's because I marked them as spam.

I couldn't be happier with Cal Air Cooling and Heating. To start, they answered the phone quickly. I spoke with Alexis, who was exceptionally helpful. My 30+ year old a/c was completely out in 114 degree Las Vegas heat, and I had expected to have to wait several days for an available appointment. Alexis booked it that afternoon - and I didn't even have to ask!
The tech, Richard H., arrived on time and was polite, friendly, clean, and professional. He immediately found the problem, which a competitor had missed just a few weeks ago. I had wanted a new thermostat for years, but never took the time to get one. Richard got me a very nice, digital, programmable thermostat, and installed it in a matter of minutes. Problems solved! I'm happy, my dog is happy, Richard's happy, and I'm sure Cal Air is happy! I just couldn't ask for better service!

Beware people! I had this company come out in August of 2016 because we have one small bedroom that is getting way too much air in summer & way too much heat in winter. The tech was Peter and he claimed that we needed major duct work done. His alternative suggestion was to buy this $800 portable thermostat. I bought the thermostat and it's a total joke.
The air/heat is still not balanced. After numerous trips to the ENT Dr. and being very sick because of this situation I could not take it anymore. I finally called another company that said all we needed was a damper to be put in that particular duct for that bedroom and it would end up being less than $150.00! I should have known when Peter kept stressing that his boss would not allow his tech's to lie to their customers.
What an insult to be preyed on like that. Don't bother with your silly responses to this review. You guys are total rip off's and I will NEVER recommend you to anyone!

I called them out when our downstairs furnace wouldn't stay lit. Everything I researched online said that it was the thermocouple but as I didn't know what I was doing I would rather leave it up to the experts. It was clear from the moment he arrived he was less interested in repairing my furnace than he was in selling me a new one. He kept saying that repair would be expensive and they couldn't guarantee that it would work.
He then quoted me almost $1000 to fix it. I told him thank you and paid him the $79 trip charge to come out and promptly called another company. The other company came out and said the problem was exactly what I thought it was. the thermocouple. It was $127 for the part and $69 for labor. He replaced it and it works great. The funny thing is that I'm going to be replacing both of our units in the next year. Which company do you think I'm going to go with? The one who tried to rip me off or the one who was honest with me?

I was visited by Richard today when my upstairs central air heating stopped working. The Good - Richard was professional and he fixed the problem replacing the motor capacitor in around an hour's time. The Bad - the charge was approx. $320 and I found the capacitor price online to be around $10. So the labor fee was approx. $300/hour. In summary the work quality was good but not worth the price.

I called this morning very early and someone actually answered. I was expecting to get an answering machine. I was told that somebody would call me back in about an hour to schedule for someone to come out and they sure did before the hour was up I was getting a phone call. I was told that somebody would come between 1pm and 3pm. Marcos was actually here before 1pm and I cannot tell you how nice, professional and knowledgeable Marco's is.
I would definitely use them again and refer them to all my family and friends that need air conditioning or heating service. Thank you so much Marcos for helping us out and being so nice.

We love the entire team at Cal Air. The installation of our new heating and cooling system was professional and they did not leave a mess! The job was very difficult because the entry into our attic was small, but somehow they managed to get the two units out and the new units in - and it's better organized so they only have to access one linen closet to service rather than both!

I called Cal Air as a second opinion on my faulty AC unit. I was desperate. 6pm Sunday evening. 97' outside. 85'inside. My biggest fear- needing an entire new unit. The first place that came out gave me that exact prognosis. Thankfully the Cal Air rep was able to fix the situation within 20 minutes of knocking on my door and for 400$. He was friendly as need be.
He gave me extra information for the inevitable future purchase of a new unit. I just feel good that he was trustworthy enough to not suggest a new unit and help out a family when they were in a bind.
