Ira Hansen & Sons Plumbing & Heating

We had another great experience with Ira Hansen and Sons Plumbing. They replaced our water heater in August of 2021. We recently noticed a delay in getting hot water. It took longer than normal. We called Ira Hansen one day ago and they promptly scheduled an appointment for this morning between 11:00 & 12:00. We were pleasantly surprised when their plumber, Shae Vetter, called to let us know he had a cancellation and could come earlier.

When he arrived he quickly inspected our system, determined the issue and immediately repaired it. We were impressed with his knowledge of plumbing. He was also very articulate and pleasant. He represented Ira and Hansen Plumbing very well. If you have a plumbing issue, call Ira and Hansen Plumbing. You will be very pleased with their service!

I have used Ira Hansen Plumbing a number of times, they installed all the plumbing at my business and also recently helped me out with getting an old swamp cooler working again. We have used Ira Hansen and sons multiple times over the past 3 years with the most recent being today. They are always on time, professional, clean and efficient. Our plumber today was Shawn B and he did an excellent job cleaning out our line from the dishwasher to the air gap. He also inspected a gas line connection for us and gave it a clean bill of health.

They did a great job in selling our brand new toilet that we bought in Western Nevada Supply.

Sean M. recently replaced our mainline water supply at our home in Reno. Due to a recently deceased family member, the house sat vacant while we repaired multiple items. Sean understood how difficult it was for us to manage our projects from across the country so he constantly provided photos and updates while remaining available by cell at all times.

The project ended up becoming very complex and required constant change orders to fix irrigation valves, irrigation leaks, and every other little problem that arises from a vacant home. Sean was patient throughout and did not use it as an opportunity to take advantage of us. Service remained prompt and fairly priced. We'll use Sean for all of our required services going forward.

We had a very positive experience with Ira Hansen and Sons Plumbing. Sean Simpson replaced our 19 year old water heater today. He was very knowledgeable, conscientious and accountable. He took the time to come early to inspect our old water heater to determine the specific parts he needed. He also kept us apprised of when he would be returning to do the actual installation, and his progress along the way. He represents Ira Hansen and Sons Plumbing very well and we will definitely contact them again for any future plumbing needs!

After having to deal with an shower issue for a year the management finally found a competent plumber who didn't want or need to " tear open the wall" and knew exactly what the problem was within minutes! The office and the plumbers were both professional. They were up front, fair, and went the extra mile. I would definitely call them again. Sean and his helper were polite, personable, and got the job done quickly yet thoroughly.

Our very old water heater broke down and Thayne at IHS Plumbing came out promptly and worked to put in a new one till 8:30 at night! That is great dedication and we we really appreciated the excellent service! I highly recommend them!

Ira Hansen and Sons came out to fix our plumbing, they were here for a short time, used a snake outside and "fixed" it. Charged us $185 to get this done. We left shortly after this on vacation and came back to a backed-up bathroom again. I called to explain that we haven't been here to use the plumbing and it's clearly not fixed. They said they can't warranty plumbing and since it's been more than a couple days, they would have to charge us $185 again.

I asked if I could send them our travel documents to show that we weren't in town, so clearly we weren't using the plumbing but she said no. Super frustrating, will not be using them again.

Couldn't help but notice a driver a couple months back (just saw my review wasn't published) in one of your trucks (fully branded, which is how i found you) mocking the climate change protestors by acting like he was crying rubbing his eyes and then laughing at the kids (elementary through middle and high school) protesting outside their school in Truckee today.

Not very mature to be mocking children who are trying to do what they think is right. Don't know your stance/care as we're all entitled to our opinions and it looks like you guys provide an excellent service, BUT still not a good look for an adult driving a company vehicle to be making fun of kids.

I worked with 2 of the technicians, they were prompt, and very nice. They explained everything to me about my options and provided referrals to additional businesses that would be able to help get outside contracting work done.

My mother's sink was leaking, and being fairly new to the area, I didn't have an established plumber. Looked on Yelp and read the reviews, which were great. Not only that, they were fairly close. When I talked to Taylor, their scheduler, she was so accommodating and nice. I was on a tight time frame and she was able to send Tracy over within the next 1/2 hour. Tracy not ONLY called to say he received the job, but actually told me his location and his ETA. Tracy diagnosed the issue, gave me the option of getting my own parts (appreciated that option) or using theirs (which was MOEN - same thing I would have bought myself) and gave me a quote for the entire cost.

Their pricing was extremely competitive and Tracy was very thorough with his installation, cleanup and explaining how the new faucet worked to my mom. WE HAVE FOUND OUR PLUMBING SERVICE! Thank you Taylor and Tracy!

Very happy with my service with these guys. This is the second time I've used them, first time was an emergency Sunday issue which I was very grateful for their emergency weekend service, and this second time I had the luxury of scheduling the appointment. It was easy to schedule and on time arrival. Andy and Tracy were quick and knowledgeable even with my old 1940's plumbing issues.

My 2 outside spickettes were replaced and the drain in my basement is working like it should! Andy even cleaned out the sink which was above and beyond IMO. Ira Hansen and sons will be my go-to for plumbing requests here on out.

I am SUPER impressed and I have Larrisa and Tracy to thank! After getting the run around all morning for an emergency plumbing issue, I decided to call these folks. Larrisa was knowledgeable and put in an emergency order and the plumber was here within an HOUR! We live in The Highlands on a hill and our access pipe isn't an easy one to access under a short deck. Tracy maneuvered his way and handled it! I can't thank you guys enough! Having water backing up in the house is a scary ordeal and I am MUCH APPRECIATIVE!

So, my toilet needed removal and replacement. I called IHS Plumbing and a very nice lady named Taylor immediately set up at appointment with Tracy for 11:30 today. Tracy arrived on time ready to go. He removed my old commode and replaced the new one in no time flat. He was very knowledgeable and answered any and all of my silly questions. When in my garage, he notice that the recirculating pump to my water heater was not connected and did that free of charge. He also explained to me what it did. I would highly recommend this company and will use them again in the future for any of my plumbing needs.

We tried so many plumbers, and they were the only ones who would come within a half hour. Taylor was very nice and helpful on the phone and scheduled the plumber, Tracy, to come out right away. Tracy was very friendly, professional and efficient. He identified the problem quickly and gave us three options to solve the problem. We would recommend them and will use them again.

I chose this company because of their high ratings and they have been in business and contributing to the community for quite some time. When I called Taylor was very helpful in accommodating my schedule with their visit. And the plumber, CJ, was extremely helpful in keeping me apprised of the work that was necessary to correct the leak in my toilet. Unfortunately, the problem was not initially repaired satisfactorily because of a problem with the new part and a subsequent visit was necessary. CJ was most apologetic for the inconvenience to me.

I told him that in my many years of dealing with customer service that things can go wrong -- it's inevitable. But it's how the problem is handled that counts. And this issue was handled both professionally and with concern for inconvenience to me. Taylor and CJ both confirmed that great customer service still exists.

Like everyone using Yelp, I look for companies that have favorable reviews and I always look for negative reviews too. I called Ira Hansen & Sons Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning without first looking at Yelp. Why would I violate my own practice of checking Yelp first? Because Ira Hansen came to my front door one day. He was not promoting his company, he was asking for me to vote for him in our local elections. An obviously successful business man that felt he still wanted to serve the people of our community in the public sector.

I found this to be an endeavor that I admire. So, as to my service call, I asked for them to rebuild the insides of two toilets, install a new sink, garbage disposal, a new faucet, associated water lines and drain lines and install a new dishwasher with all the plumbing and waste lines. The technician that was sent to me was Andy. He called 30 minutes before my appointment time to let me know he was on his way and he was exactly on time. Andy reviewed the work I was asking him to perform and he was empowered to give me a fixed price to complete all the tasks. Andy is an awesome professional and it was a pleasure to talk with him. Andy takes pride in his work, cleans up after himself and made sure I was happy with his work.

Larissa was awesome and so helpful, she responded within minutes and was so flexible. She arranged for Tracy to meet us at the house we bought within hours of us picking up the keys. Tracy was our service guy and he was great! He worked quickly but explained everything he was doing, and knowing we just bought the house, he took the extra time to show us important things we needed to know or watch for in the future without trying to sell us anything "extra." The price was fair and the service was great.

Tracy and Brian were so fast! They were in, and out and replaced the guts of the bathroom appliance, put it all back together, and left in less than 40 minutes! And, that wasn't an easy task, otherwise I could have done it, since I had done the other two, already.

I called IH&S plumbing at 11 am Saturday. They sent one of their plumbers over to my house, arriving at about 12:30. This wasn't an emergency. Tracy came out and inspected my pipes under my house.

Ralph was great! He replaced my hot water heater this week. He was professional and polite. I would recommend him to complete your plumbing needs.

I did not know how to put together my sprinkler system. Tracy went through every step with me and did a great job. I think he should moonlight as a schoolteacher. I am 82 years old and don't see very well, but he walked me through everything.

Sunday morning - water spewing across my garage from 2 sprung leaks at the top of my 10 yr old water heater. Called Ira and Alexis called me right back: she told me how to turn the water off and if I could get by till Monday a.m.
