If I could give zero stars, I would! I have been the executor of my late father's estate in Reidsville, NC. I have sold the property and the account was due a $173.22 refund. I live in Greensboro. I contacted the Eden office on May 6th to request a refund check. I had to jump through more "paperwork hoops" to receive the refund check than I ever had to do to pay the bill (ironic, huh).
I sent them every bit of paperwork they requested that same day and was told a refund check would be mailed ASAP. I called them a week later when I still hadn't received the check. I was told it was mailed on May 9th. I waited another week, still no check. I emailed the Eden office last Friday, the 20th and told them I would be calling first thing this morning to find out what the problem is. Called the Eden office this morning (the 23rd) just to be given the same run around, blaming it on the USPS for not getting the check to me.
I receive ALL mail from Eden with 1-2 business days, but conveniently NOT a refund check! I was told by the Eden office that the checks are even cut from Greensboro. I am glad I have no reason to do business with Berico here in Greensboro and will never recommend them to anyone. UPDATE - STILL have not received refund check that was supposedly mailed on 5/9/22! Today's date is 5/24/22.
It would seem that a professional business would apologize, stop payment on phantom refund check and cut a new one, but this obviously isn't a professional business. I'm sure if a customer told you "the check is in the mail" you would refuse to deliver gas to their house when you didn't receive that check! $173.22 is not going to break me, but some people it could.
I will continue these updates on the principle of the matter until I receive this refund check! UPDATE 2 - Miracles happen! The USPS was able to get this "second check" to me! The greensboro office stopped payment on the "old check" and cut me a new one the day after my update and I received it on 5/31/22! To all future Berico customers - be wary, double check things, and be the squeaky wheel! Unfortunately, this seems to be normal behavior for most businesses these days.

So I bought a company from a freind who has been operating this bussness for three years. The AC has always ran great and they have always used Berico for the maintence. After I bought the place the AC stopped working in a few months. This much was probably my fault as I had not had any maintence donce since I took over. After paying for Berico to come out too fix my system the next day, and setting up a regular maintence agreement, they came and cleaned the gunk out of my hvac and replaced our filters.
Two days later, the Hvac shut off. I called again and another guy came out and cleaned out the collected gunk again and the system came up. Two days later the system went down. A third tech came out and told my manager the problem was my hvac was installed incorrectly. I dont understand in three years of perfect functionality and regular maintence how now my HVAC is not properly installed.
The tech brought my AC online. Here it is on Saturday and I have a full house of customers complaning and threatining to not come back due to our HVAC being down. Ive called Berico who is now in "after hours" service due to some holiday. Ive called and been straight hung up on and told I would be called back on my third try. I dont know whats going in but I am not impressed.

Critical:Quality Berico installed fuel lines after Generac generator installed. After the new generator did not function after a recent power outage, Generac technician discovered they had installed the wrong regulator and pipe diameter, rendering my new generator nonfunctional. Awaiting them to fix the problem at this time.

I have dealt with Sheila Morris thru out time doing business with Berico. She is the greatest. She always help me with any needs. What can I say about this company, I'm sure they are great at what they do however my experience with my last maintenance visit was not the best to anyone's standards, and I'm a maintenance tech my self so I know what I'm talking about, tech didn't bring his own tools, I had to Let him use mine, he came to install a thermostat and after several failed intents I finisHed dooming the research and doing it my self while he was still here trying to figure it out, then on top of that charged me for a full visit when I did all the work and the little work he did he did it with my tools, I had a different hoax company come to a quote and all they want to do sell you a new system for tons of money, giving hvac companies a bad rep, I think this industry needs serious regulations.

We scheduled an appointment 2 weeks ago for Berico to come out this past Tuesday, and start our pilot light and adjust the gas logs for the winter season. The day of the appointment they called to reschedule because there were people with more important needs that they needed to tend to. Everyone's time is important, and taking time off to be at home only to be cancelled the same day is extremely disrespectful, and cost me money, and I highly doubt they would discount their next scheduled trip, 2 weeks from now.

I only have gas logs and I shopped around because Amerigas was charging me 4.85/gal. After speaking to a wonderful staff at Berico and finding out I could get gas at half that price I decided to switch companies for my gas service. When they came both the person who switched out the tanks and the gas delivery person were extremely polite and friendly. I appreciated that he put some booties over the shoes when he came my home in to restart the fireplace. Very pleasant experience and I highly recommend.

Came home from work at 4:30 pm, on the hottest day of the summer, to find my AC broken. My house was sweltering. I called berico- they got a technician out to my house and my AC was up and running by 6:30pm. The tech was friendly and informative. He was even kind to my 3 barking dogs. Berico literally saved my family on a horrible hot day! Would highly recommend. Prices were fair and tech even offered alternative cheaper methods to get AC working again.

Berico priced a job for a disabled veteran, using using cheaper equipment and materials, 2 and half times more than multiple businesses across 4 counties. All businesses were given the exact, written and verbal, list of requirements. Other competitors even giving written 100% money back guarantee for any reason. Offered to show Will Barry documentation and job site to prove everything was same as other companies.
He was not interested. Told him that if this type of pricing was not for different type of people then the entire community was being charged ridiculous prices. Also mentioned the quoted puce was approximately $14000 more than Berico's 2016 quote for the same job. details to follow after installation is completed.

Berico was recommended by a friend. They came out same day when our heat wasn't working and fixed it with a hour. Price was reasonable too given it was after hours. Will definitely use them again. Editing my post. They are get quick to get out to help you but I've come to realize they charge a flat rate for service. So if it's a $200 job you are going to pay $700. They are very nice and helpful just pricey.
