I had a really positive experience with this business today and I'm so grateful for their help. My refrigerator hasn't been working properly for over a month - it hadn't been staying at the proper temperature for food safety and that has been really stressful because I have 3 kids in the household and I've had to use other methods to be safe. On top of that, my washing machine suddenly stopped working last night.

I was 100% stressed out and needed immediate help. This business found time on a day when they were already very busy to fit me into their schedule. They quickly assessed the problem with the fridge and the washing machine and didn't try to exaggerate the mechanical problems or bloat the prices. The technician was extremely friendly and explained everything to me (and I know nothing about these machines) and had all of the necessary parts on hand, and completed the work quickly and efficiently.

He provided a price that was significantly lower than I expected to pay. I'm keeping the number to be able to use this service again in the future, and I highly recommend them for honest, affordable, fair work.

I called Manton Appliance Service for my refrigerator/freezer. The fan in the freezer was making a rubbing noise. Jim called me back and gave me a time frame of when he & Tim would be out. Jim & Tim came out when expected, diagnosed the problem and fixed it. Both gentlemen were nice and courteous. I will definitely call them again if I have an appliance issue & will recommend them to my friends and family.

Manton Appliance came to my house on a Saturday to fix my refrigerator. Tim the technician, was very knowledgeable. When the repair was complete, my refrigerator worked like new and the cost was very reasonable. I got lucky when I called Manton Service for service on a faulty ice maker. They responded almost immediately. They had just finished a service call near me and made an adjustment in their schedule to make me their next stop. No mess, all professional, they determined the problem and suggested a replacement. Unlike other service people the part was in their truck and was in my freezer in 45 minutes. you can rely on these guys and their obvious years of experience. If you want to feel confident selecting service people, have them come to your home. Also they're friendly.

After just getting out of the hospital, my oven would not work. They charged me $102.60 to tip my oven & reset the gfi outlet. I understand that there is a fee to come to out, but I was charged $95 plus tax for Tim to hit the reset button. Then the son just decides to open my open my freezer & tell me what a crap refrigerator I just bought.

Dryer stopped working and we were stuck with 2 loads of wet clothes at 9pm. Called Manton and they were out the following morning. After diagnosing the the initial problem, they found 2 other parts that needed to be replaced (only charged me the cost of one part). Because of their proactive and thorough work ethic, Tim and Jim saved me from a certain future headache, charge of a service call and labor costs. If you want transparency, friendly service and a fair price i would recommend Manton for any appliance service.

Manton Appliance repair to the rescue AGAIN! My GE Profile refrigerator was not working properly. The refrigerator temperature had gone up to 57 degrees overnight ( freezer was at 2). Mr. Manton was kind enough to squeeze in a visit late Friday ( same day I called). Food was moved to safe storage, and I had looked at refrigerators that would fight the space. Yet, I trusted Mr Manton to give me an honest, well thought out diagnosis ( fixable or not), rather than order a new refrigerator.

The refrigerator needed a new fan motor ( which Manto happened to have in the truck - lucky me)! So rather than paying over $2,000 for a replacement ( not to mention the hassle and 2-3 week wait), it cost a small fraction to repair. Before repairs, we discussed what parts could have failed and the costs of repairs. I had all the information before work was started. I will ONLY USE MANTON!

I first called these guys around 2013 based on a recommendation of a co-worker. My Washing Machine was leaking water. Manton came out, looked it over thoroughly and the repairmen from Manton said he could not find anything wrong with it. I was annoyed, however what I took away from the experience is that Manton did not try to "fix" something that wasn't broken.

The repairman spent an hour looking over my appliance and did not try to upsell, rip me off, or persuade me into something I did not need. Newsflash people! People of this stature are hard to come by in this day and age. Fast forward to February of 2019, and the drive belt for the clothing drum on our Kenmore dryer snapped. Called Manton again based on my first experience.

The repairman rebuilt the drive belt, pulleys and other essential parts and the dryer is quiet and efficient as when new. Plus he gave me pointers as to why my particular brand of appliance was worth keeping as opposed to buying a more expensive front end loader. Once again, outstanding service and honestly. I have passed on several recommendations for this company.

One thing I feel I must comment on is those complaining about the 85 dollar service charge. The fine employees of Manton have families who draw salaries, service trucks, benefits, utilities, maintenance costs of equipment, insurance and so on. This is a business, not a charity. If you wish to complain about Manton, than call a crack head to fix your appliance.

The service charge is rolled into the overall cost of the repair, not any additional above and beyond charge. Thank you Manton for your great service. Oh and those of you who were wondering what came of the washing machine issue. Debris in the hose was clogging the waterflow to the sink, corrected with hot water overtime.

Tim showed up right on time for the scheduled appt on Wednesday and couldn't have been nicer. Everything was super quick. He figured out what was wrong with an older dryer that wasn't heating and had the part with him to complete the repair, so it was able to be done on the spot. The price was fair and the dryer is working great. Tim and the service were awesome. We would definitely use Manton again.

He and his son, Tim were out the same morning. Turned out I needed a new icemaker and they had one in their truck. Knowledgeable and prepared, what a concept in today's market, a rare find. In the late 1990s, I was having a lot of problems with my duplex's appliances. They were 6 years old and it was turning into a constant slew of tenant phone calls. You were recommended highly as the best for appliance repair. I figured that you'd help out but I didn't imagine that your price, dependability, and excellence would be one phone call away to make my problems disappear!

The missing fifth star isn't really Manton's fault: Jim and Tim came out on short notice to take a look at my dryer and somehow, their mere presence fixed it. They still took the time to look over the machine for potential causes of the non-responsiveness I'd experienced, speculating that it might have overheated and shut off. They left a sticker to remind me of the number if another issue came up and advised that, when the washer goes, she will be truly done (with the wood paneling, that washer might be older than I am).

They were extremely kind and I appreciate that they came by to take a look the same day. I just wish I had checked the machine again before making a service call. The cost was $75 + tax ($81) for the visit, which is applied to the cost of any repairs that need to be made.

Yelpers did not let me down. Initially we had an appointment in early February to replace the rubber ring in our 4 year old washer. I was told they needed to order the part and we'd be in touch. Last night, my washer decided it wasn't waiting until February. It flooded the front end of my basement. ( Fun night for us. ) I called Manton Appliance Repair immediately to see when they could come out. Sheer joy, when I heard, "tomorrow." But wait, they have to order the part still?!?

James Manton has been fixing my appliances for about 30 years. He is very reliable, honest, and knowledgeable. He comes either the same day or the next to complete the job. His prices are reasonable too. I have always been very satisfied with his work. I have recommended him to friends, who also were completely satisfied.

My refrigerator was leaking water from the bottom. I looked in the Yellow Pages and was impressed with the ad for Manton Appliance Repair Service. The technician was at my door within 3 hours as promised. He was knowledgeable, very nice, and had the part needed right on his truck. Everything was explained to me as he worked. I hope that their repair service is better than their phone customer service. The call was a waste of time as the lady on the other end failed to mention that ASAP for her is NOT tomorrow as my described problem "did not seem to be an emergency". I guess she likes to wait for 6 hours in ER too.

My dishwasher flaked out and I was baffled. So I called Manton Appliance Service LLC to help me out. That they did, and more. They set up an appointment the next day -- at my request -- and set a window of 1000-1300.

I called them around 12:30 and they came out the same day. They gave me a timeframe of 2-4pm and surely they were at my home a few minutes before 2:30. This was impressive especially since I had been waiting for another company for 3 days. So when he said he could come the same day I was more than happy about that. It took close to 2 hours to do the job but they got it done and I am satisfied with the work. I would definitely recommend them.

Gotta say these guys did there job and did it well, a father son operation who really stood to their name, they came SOONER then any competition and they found the problem and i got the service done cheaper then anyone else.

I am completely satisfied with their service. I called on Monday to make an appointment to have my refrigerator repaired. It had stopped getting cold and was starting to drip water. They came out the next day. We were their first stop. They called to confirm the appointment Monday night and they called to give us an ETA on when they would arrive that morning.

They came a little after 9 and got straight to work. My father let them in and I told him to call me if there was any problems. I called him around 10:45 and he said they were done and he was putting the stuff back in the fridge. I gave my dad a set price with a certain percentage to go over for the repairs and they were right on the money with the cost.

DON'T CALL anybody except Manton Appliance Service. I have an issue with my dryer machine. It's not HOT. I checked everything and it looked good but not sure why the clothes in the dryer machine are still cold so I called Manton Appliance Service.

Our washer stopped working few days ago and one of our friend recommended Manton Applicance service. They are a customer oriented family business. Within few hours they set up and appointment and able to fix the issue.

I hope their appliance services are better than their customer service phone support. This is directed at the rude guy that took my call this morning when I was in need for a washer repair for a brand they don't support. And don't list Yardley as a service area if you don't support it.

The gentlemen at Manton's have old school values that you just can't find anymore! I had them come out to check out my dishwasher. They were honest that it was a plumbing issue that was outside of their expertise and would need remodeling once the dishwasher came out.after that bad news, they told there would waive their usual initial cost to come out! Timely and totally professional, I will definitely call them again!
