A&K Empire was incorporated in North Carolina in 2006. It is a family owned business. Our technicians are certified service representatives. We hold an unlimited License which enables us to do any size electrical job, We are a certified dealer of standby generators. We also have a security license for installation and service of burglar alarms.

All employees go through background checks, random drug tests and most are OSHA safety certified and all attend scheduled safety meetings. A&K Empire Electric Co. has considerable experience in the installation and service in medical facility's, office buildings, assisted living structures.

We've used A&K for over 10 years for all of our electrical needs. Not only are they top notch electricians but they've hung many ceiling fans, sensor lights and other lighting. They do great work for a fair price and we completely trust them (and our dogs love them). AND, as a family business, you don't get any of that national chain BS. I'd recommend to anyone who wants a local, dependable, outstanding electrician.

A&K did several things for us during our kitchen renovation: moved light switches and electrical outlets to accommodate new tile, installed undercabinet and overcabinet lighting, and placed new fixtures. They made 3-4 different trips out to our house to work during different phases of the renovation. Unlike other contractors, they provided an exact time of arrival and ALWAYS arrived when they said they'd be there. They were nice and handled all of the work very professionally and cleaned up when they were done. I wouldn't ever use anyone else.

We have been using A&K Empire Electric for over 15 years and for ALL of our electrical needs. We have relocated laundry rooms, added every kind of electrical item you can think of - fans, lighting, outlets, under cabinet lights, phone jacks, landscape lights, new W/D hookups, etc. Brian, Amy, Joe, Nick and everyone else have always been nothing shy of spectacular! 5 stars all the way.

They not only ensure you get what you really need, but make suggestions when they think something might work better. They also offer alternatives when there is something less expensive that would do the same job. And to me the biggest thing is that they make sure you are happy before, during and after the installation. That's unheard of these days by contractors!
