TDH Mechanical

One of the larger HVAC companies in Chicago told me I needed a new boiler to the tune of $8000, but something smelled fishy to me. On a referral from a friend, I called TDH, and their technician came out and checked out my boiler and told me there was nothing wrong with it. He also told me that the other company pays their technicians COMMISSION on anything they sell, producing a huge conflict of interest. TDH did some minor maintenance on my boiler for a low/reasonable rate and saved me close to $8000. Thanks TDH!

TDH Mechanical were the BEST! I got 8 companies to bid for a new HVAC system. It took me several weeks to narrow it down. It came down to TDH, Four seasons, Sears, and a local company. After the first week, we were ready to go with Four seasons, (the total charge was over $10K with Lennox products), they told us that they were quality work, and they were the only ones who offer 10-year warranty for both parts and labor.

Being our first time, we thought this was the best deal! One day before making an appointment with Four seasons, Sears and TDH called to set an appointment to see our old HVAC system. We were going to decline, but somehow we said okay. We decided to give Sears and TDH a shot, so we didn't make an appointment with Four seasons yet. Best decision. Sears rep came first, looked at everything, had a presentation, then gave us the quote.

Their quote was less than $9K, basically the same with Four seasons.their warranty was even better! I have the contract/quote somewhere, but it was something like 20 years in parts and 10 years in labor, (their product was Carrier), so we thought maybe go with Sears! Then TDH Mechanical came, (Kris), looked at old HVAC system, and he just knew everything he was saying.

He told us a lot of similar things that Four seasons, and Sears told us, the he explained how the HVAC would be replaced. All the companies recommended us to replace everything since it's old. Kris explained to us that the air filter unit was still good. It didn't need to be replaced, but he can replace it if we like, ($400 additional), then he said that everything would be replaced except the air filter unit. Kris talked with Tim on what we needed, and he came back with a quote.

We went with TDH Mechanical because they replaced everything, (Furnace, coil, lines, condenser, humidifier and the only thing that wasn't replaced was the air filter unit), and the price was less than $5,500! The warranty was 12 years in parts and labor! They were able to install our new HVAC system in one day. Then there was a problem with our Ecobee4, (the mobo was bad, so we had to exchange it, but the Ecobee that we exchanged it for was the lower version. Kris told us to get the Ecobee4 or Nest 3rd Gen.), and Rolando was able to install the GoogleNest thermo with our new HVAC system.

We saved over half of what we were going to spend with TDH Mechanical. Thank you TDH Mechanical! Great job Jesus, Alfredo, Rolando, Jacqui and Kris. You have a GREAT TEAM TIM! If you need HVAC, air conditioner/condenser, furnace you should try these guys. I'm glad we waited, and got TDH Mechanical!

I was recently in the market for a new HVAC system and had obtained five quotes. Tim the owner of TDH was very friendly and gave me a detailed walk-thru of the quotes and installation process. TDH offered the best price which included a furnace that was a a more expensive model (variable speed vs single speed or two speed). I was able to schedule the installation on a day that worked best for my schedule and the installers arrived precisely on-time.

The AC condenser that I was quoted wasn't available at their supplier so TDH gave me a much upgraded model (higher seer rating) at no additional cost. The installers were friendly and did a great job of cleaning-up after the work was complete. TDH also had the best parts and labor warranty. I'll be recommending them to any friends and family that needs HVAC work.

This review is long overdue, but that is the nature of their work.the central air unit that they installed has been working so well that I never need to think about it. As for the customer service, first of all, I shopped around and they offered me the lowest price by far. I won't give the final price as I don't want to inflate expectations as I do believe my haggling abilities helped out.

Their service was excellent despite the low cost. I had an unit whose size was no longer manufactured, and due to a mistake by their equipment provider, they originally purchased a unit that could not fit into the closet space in my condo. As a result of me having to take a day off from work when they couldn't finish the job, they knocked off another $280 off the price!

They ended up needing to put the AC component on the roof, and they drilled a whole in my ceiling that has never leaked. Also, they honored the warranty with no questions asked and Chris came out twice to service the unit.the first time to fix a wiring issue and a second time which was really as a result of a heavy storm. Jim was courteous & accommodating on the phone on follow up calls. I highly recommend these guys!

Very smooth process. Called and emailed the owner Tim. He responded to my questions quickly. Talked me out of spending more money than needed. He did enough installation in the building (River North) that he just asked me to send the pictures. Mark and Jose came to installed it and got it done within a day. We found out we could not completely close the utility room door. They came back the next day and fixed it. Very professional. Good warranty too.

Professional service from initial contact to completion. I relayed the urgency of an inoperable furnace and was assured of prompt replacement. TDH met that assurance by advising then completing the installation successfully. I recommend their services to all with HVAC issues which require professional expertise.

EXCELLENT! Wow- where do I start? If you're calling around and doing your research- look no further! TDH outperformed any HVAC company out there. Tim, the owner, responded within minutes. They are a no shenanigans company. I read other reviews and I did not get any bait and switch- all honesty and no BS. The crew showed up to do the install on time.

We hit a tiny snag because the pan was a little off, but when I texted Tim he responded immediately and his crew fixed it. The crew was fun- the guys played music during the installation but it was great- ya want to see your crew enjoying their work. Also- they were diligent about their cleanliness- making sure to ask me about shoe coverings and wall smudges.

They all wore masks. I appreciate the 12 year parts and labor warranty- their competitors did not offer anything close to that. The last part I should add is that I have bought a couple of HVAC units in my life. Even though I mentioned that I have another home in Florida and did not want my HVAC on WiFi- no one pressured me to buy more than I wanted. Don't hesitate to reach out to TDH- they beat Heatmasters, Shitvitz, Chicago Heating and Cooling. I will follow up with my review in 6 months.

Great company with whom to work. Guys showed up for a quote same day for our boiler replacement, were super thorough walking us through the process, and were great on price versus the 5 other quotes we had gotten. They showed up the next early morning ready to go and worked late into the evening to finish the install. For a job that required so much demo and cutting of pipe, etc they were unbelievably clean, like spotless.

They even cleaned up the mess the hot water heater install company had left. Now, we had an old boiler so we weren't expecting how nice of the unit they were going to put in. Their pipe work was fantastic, they put in a control panel, auto damper, and what we weren't expecting is they upgraded our original thermostats in each room from 1981 manual to modern digitalis thermostats. We weren't expecting such great work and attention to detail especially at this price-point, but these guys are great.

TDh is a very good company to work with. I initially talked to Tim the owner who was not only very passionate about his job he gave me a very fair quote. I'm moving into my new condominium and the HVAC system is very old. Khris came out yesterday to service, but after going over my options decided to replace. Today Khris and Jim worked very hard and diligent to get the job done.

When I came back to see the finished product I couldn't believe the difference. The passion in their job was next to none. I would recommend TDh for all my Hvac systems. Thank you again, Khris and Jim for a job well done. It was a 10 star job.

TDH helped me out with a new AC unit this summer and Rolando came by for the furnace today. Their response time is second to none and in tough times, they fixed the HVAC for me and my family!

We had our new furnace an ac unit installed today. Wally and Ken were professional from start to finish. Even though one of installers went home sick the other instsller finished. Great job and a great price for a Trane.

TDH Mechanical sent an experienced team to install our new central air system. Did a professional job in a few hours. Removed the old system and cleaned up after themselves. Knew I made a good choice when they came in with tarps and covered from my front door to the basement before they ever walked around.

Last week, my old furnace gave out. After doing a lot of research, I went with TDH to put in a new furnace, A/C, humidifier and to clean the ductwork. My experience was great - they were very responsive from the beginning, offered a better warranty than others, and everyone involved was a pleasure to deal with.

I've had my new system from TDH for about 4 years now. They installed a new High-Efficiency HVAC system including a whole house humidifier, electronic air cleaner and upgraded my programmable thermostat.

TDH mechanical did a fantastic job installing a new furnace, AC unit, whole house humidifier and Nest thermostat. They also cleaned all the ducts. Their price was more than reasonable, in fact it came in below other quotes.

Responsive to my inquiry and quickly got an estimate with a detailed explanation of the furnace they were going to install. Kept me informed before the installation date and then showed up exactly on time as promised.

The boiler was failing in my house. Called requesting a quote for replacement and Tim (owner) quoted an estimate well below the first estimate I received (no need to match prices or anything like that).
